This was a one night stop for us. The WiFi they supposedly had did not work and no one was here who could reboot the system. This park seems well designed and laid out and is on a lake that used to be rock quarry. The grounds are quite nice, although their entrance sign needs to be repositioned. Call ahead for instructions or else you might miss the turn. It has gravel roads, level sites, FHU, and many permanent residents. The onsite restaurant seems popular with the locals. Restrooms were frigid with no heat, served their purpose but were not inviting in any sense. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Our days here included the holiday so we made our reservation (for a week) early and made them for a specific site. There is one row of sites that have the utility connections that have the rigs back-to-back. Our friends made their reservation for the site across from us so our doors would open to the same common area. About two weeks before arrival, the campground called us to confirm that we were coming. Several days before arrival, we called the campground to confirm the reservation. She said all was fine but she would check her paperwork and call if there was a problem. When we arrived, there was only one rig in our whole row and it was in the site we had reserved. Someone in the office had made a mistake and rented the site for part of our week. They asked us to park in a different site. Needless to say, we were not happy campers and it got messy. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our week. They have a place where you can recycle cans and cardboard. There are 100 permanent sites. The side by side sites were nice whether you have friends across from you or not. Placement of the utility hookups in conjunction with the length of the site made it easy to get set up. There is no swimming pool but they have an area of the lake roped off for swimming. There were so many local people that came for the holiday weekend along with their friends, that parking and navigating the roads was a problem. Every site was filled and the open area that we thought would be reserved for tents had trailers parked every which way. The quiet time rule was not enforced. This is a family friendly resort (four playgrounds) with a full service restaurant and bar. The homemade pies are excellent. Everything is well-maintained and the setting with the lake, the river, and the hills is quite nice. The WI-FI seemed to be better the closer you are to the office. We camped here in a Motorhome.
