Busy weekend with everyone out enjoying the great weather. We were surprised to have no electric-only openings at this Polk County Park. We enjoyed our waterfront view in the "primitive" area without water, nor electricity. Watching the pelican migration (yes really!) was a very nice bonus. Horses on the trails were fun to watch, and on a previous visit we'd booked a trail ride at the Jester Park Equestrian Center. Primitive area has a marvelous view of the stars. I'd hope that someday a dog park will be added to the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Lake sites were flooded this year and do not have electric, so we stayed on a site on a gravel loop. There were a mix of trailers, fifth wheels, motor homes, and tent trailers on the loop and tents on the non-electric sites going toward the lake. Very well maintained with clean restroom and shower facility. Had very quiet nights. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
