Park manager was pleasant to deal with as a plus. That said, this is a dirt road, dirt sites, dry grass, run down kind of RV park. Lots of dog waste, mostly dried, was all over the dry grass area along side of our site. During our stay, the park was at least 75% filled with long term tenants who were working in the area. Regret to say that many of the reviews are favorably exaggerated, or the reviewers' standards are a bit too low. Trucks and cars were parked out into the rather narrow access roads to the extent that we had to back out of our pull-through on the south side of the shower building. We will not return and will instead drive a few miles further and dry camp at the casino. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is $15.50 for seniors. We paid $80.00 for the week as seniors. Camp host was very gracious. Shower and restroom clean. Short walk to the river. A few swings for kids. A nice community covered area. Some traffic noise but not noticeable with a/c on. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great overnight stop. Very quiet. Very clean. We were here in 45 ft RV plus second vehicle, and did not have to unhook. Good maneuvering. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a city park located on the south side of Independence Iowa. The sites are level and long enough for a large unit. However too short to handle my 35' fifthwheel and the truck. They do provide parking for tow vehicles however. Cable is included with the $15 per night fee. Will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
