This was a welcome surprise as I figured it might be dumpy and noisy on a warm Friday night. It was clean and totally quiet. Owned by the city, it is patrolled by police and sheriff so you don't get teenagers cruising thru or beer busts. Park is in sections based on FHU, W&E or none. Park section with FHU was where everyone was so we stayed in A section which had pull thru, W&E, and next to a small pond. No one else around our section so slept like a log. Checked out the mens bath, and would have been okay if campers would learn to flush the toilets!! This park caters to the local fishermen who rent sites by the summer season or the year and leave their rigs there and use them like summer cabins. Would be perfect if they would pick up there butts and beer cans and not toss their trash into fire pits. They have a tornado shelter which would have been used if we had stayed the next night. They also charge $5 for a "three day car fee", plus $18 for camping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stay here a lot! Very nice little lake with very friendly people. It's an Oasis in the plains to us. Sometimes hard to get a spot. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
