Big sites with lots of grass and good for overnight. This is not a destination park unless you're going to the Kentucky Raceway nearby - electric hook-ups only with a water filling station and a dump station. If you need to stop and don't mind limited amenities it is pleasant. Be sure to call ahead. I'm not sure when their busy season is as we were the only ones in the park. The host, who was most friendly, had to meet us there to unlock the gate. Clean restrooms and showers but only one building for 300 sites. I imagine they are very busy during race times. Check photos on their web site to get an idea of layout. Last couple of miles on county road is a little narrow but not curvey or up-and-down. Frequent loud trains across the road. (GPS 38.663046 -84.937017) We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We needed an RV park between Cincinnati, OH and Louisville, KY and this campground was the only one that came up on our search. I couldn't write down the directions given and it was stated, GPS would find it. GPS sent us the wrong way on 467 and we spent an hour finding a place to turn our rig around on this back, seemingly single lane, country road. It was dark then and with no street lights it was very difficult to find. The park has no lighting either, other than in the bathrooms. This park is basically an open overgrown field with very narrow unkempt gravel roads. It was difficult to maneuver our rig backing in with a hill in front and exiting the park with the gate stuck in the way. There was a closed office and RVs stored in the back but we were the only ones staying in the park. The staff person never came to check us in before 9 PM. Unless you are accustomed to hearing train whistles in your ear all night, don't stay here. The train came through right next to our site every hour blowing its whistle. We got no sleep. We have camped all over the country and contrary to the owner's opinion, he is way overpriced at $25 for just electric service. They earn a "2" only because the bathrooms were newer and well maintained. We wouldn't stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
