We camped here on a weekend, wanting to try something new, BIG mistake. Rules were not enforced for the permanent residence here in the park and they do have quiet a few. It's more like a trailer park than a resort. The owner said that the permanent residences were staying longer so, in other words she didn't care that we were paying customers too, just that she wanted to make her permanent residence's happy. We ended up packing up and leaving so that we wouldn't waste our whole weekend on this park. . If you want to come pass a good time this is not the place. Quiet hours are enforced for some an not others. They advertise fishing in their lake, however do not offer not kind of fishing tackle. The owners are rude and arrogant, and don't care if they have return guests or not. We paid for 2 nights however checked out after the first. No refund was offered. No problem. They're are at least 3 other RV parks in this area and they all rate better than this one. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Each spot needs picnic table, many had none. Restrooms/Showers were not clean and there were broken fixtures. Womens restroom had no toilet paper for more than 24 hrs. Weren't advised internet was extra. Several FEMA trailers still and ALOT of pipeline workers and families. Access to the park is not very good. New owners just bought it, so maybe it will get better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Welcome to “Bayou Wilderness RV Resort” a little piece of hell located at 201 St. Clair Road in Carencro, La 70520 (337-896-0598). Let me tell you a little about this so called RV Park: *There are NO rules- all criminals are welcome* *Even though there is a speed limit sign posted it is NOT enforced and therefore people speed continually through the park in the upwards of 30,40 & 50 mph. This not only puts your children and pets in danger you also have the pleasure of having rocks kicked up at your RV and vehicle to include the windows.* *There are 21 “registered” sex offenders within 10 miles of this RV park* *They allow children of all ages (3-16 yrs old) to run free in the park with NO supervision. They allow them to trash the bathrooms and laundry room and don’t be surprised if you step out of the shower to several small faces staring back at you. They also allow them to not only continually run through your RV site but they sit on your vehicle, look in your windows and move and take your belongings etc. Not to mention that these same children throw trash on your RV site and through the RV park and nobody bothers to clean it up* *They allow people to chain their dogs outside to the RV with no dog house, water or food for days at a time not to mention the nonstop barking* *More than once RV’s were broke into in broad day light and completely cleared out* *The police are continually in the park for multiple reasons. (drunks, fighting, stealing on and on)* *Every single day you hear gun shots from the surrounding neighborhoods and this is nonstop* *There are TWO dog fighting location, one on each side of the RV park. (imagine having to hear that several times a week knowing that the animal control here will not even respond to the call because it is such a common thing in this area)* *Every single time it rains the whole RV park floods because they do not maintain the drainage system, when this happens the sewer over flows all over the ground* *They have several monthly people that are permanent and they allow them to collect garbage and clutter around their RV and all over their RV site. Not a pleasant sight at all.* If I were to rate this RV park it would be below zero and we have traveled across the United States several times and stayed in many RV parks. There is a MUCH nicer RV park 10 minutes from this location. It’s called Poche’s Fish-N- Camp and RV Park 1080 Sawmill Hwy. Breaux Bridge LA 70517 (337-332-0326) We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
