I don't have too much to add from the previous post, this is mainly just to update. They have 30 amp sites but they are only for towable and smaller B and C's. There's a moderate amount of road noise and the trains came through 3 times while we were there and they are loud. The museum is worth the stay and is free. They must have painted up the showers since the last review because it was clean and looked well cared for. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good place to stop along Highway 90 in southern Louisiana. This is a city or county owned and operated park. Price paid is for 30 amp full hookup site. Full hookup 50 amp sites are $25. Cash or check only. While children are welcome, there is no playground. Big rigs can fit in the 50 amp area - full sun. In the 30 amp area there are many long term campers who got up to go to work at 6 am. Every site in the 30 amp area is at least partially shaded. No picnic tables or fire rings. Bathroom and shower facilities are well used but clean. The address for the park and campground is 264 Cotten Road, and it's right behind the Patterson civic center building. The park offers golf. Some poison ivy or oak at our site so we moved for the second night. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
