Love this campground. We get better water front sites when we call instead of booking on line. Some sites are on grass on a hill overlooking the water. Ask for a waterfront site that is graveled. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park right on the ocean. The water sites are amazing. We had stayed here many times. A little pricey, but worth it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park conveniently located about 7 miles from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fees are high but park is right on the ocean with gorgeous views. Our site was ocean front so did not have a sewer hookup. The only issue I had was that the shower stalls were a bit small and hard to get dressed in. We stayed in a 37 foot RV and roads and sites easy to negotiate. We would return to this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I liked not having to make reservations, but don't get there too late. Had a very nice site in the woods (T-36). Pull-throughs across from us were very uneven from front to back. Dump station nice and level. Liked the free bus service into Acadia N.P. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground for us was in a perfect location. Only two miles to the entrance to Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor is 7 miles away and there is a free shuttle bus that only takes 15 minutes to get to the center of Bar Harbor if you do not want to drive. We picked one of a handful of 50 amp sites. On top of the hill next to the laundry are the prime sites but only seven that have great views of the bay but these are all back in. They have a nice mix of open sites and heavily wooded sites. TV antenna can only pick up a few channels. As mentioned they do not take credit cards or reservations. When you arrive they let you go through the campground to pick out your site before you pay. We would definitely return. Office is run by friendly workampers who have many years experience from working here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I guess I am different from the other reviews. We found this GC old and outdated. No Cable, too many trees for Satellite, only 4 OTA stations 60 miles away and more bugs than I care to deal with. Sites were not very level and it took some work to level. Our site was mostly dirt and NOT worth $44.00 a night. We left the next day for an ocean view site at a different park for half the price and twice the amenities. This would not be my choice again for Bar Harbor or Acadia Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground and what I wish other KOA's would live up to. Nice roomy campsites with level pull throughs. The laundry room was clean and everything worked well and was fairly new. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. It's also close enough to everything in Bar Harbor and the rest of the island and still quiet at night. The pet area was large and had room for our dog to fetch balls. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park, one of KOA's best, and I have stayed in many! If you are considering this one or Oceanside, be aware, there are no trees at Oceanside and this park has a pool! The staff here were awesome, very helpful with anything you needed. There is a bus that runs through the park taking you to Acadia or to town, perfect for the motorhome traveler! The only problem we had was the breaker kicked out on us several times, and we were under 30 amps! And then there are the mosquitoes!!! Bring lots of repellent! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our second time to the area and second time to this park. Good location and friendly staff. We reserved 6 sites for our group in the full hookup area. No frills, but the price is right and the free shuttle around the area is a plus. The only negative that I have is the laundry. Two of the four wash machines were down the entire time we were there. We expected to do a few loads during the week and could not. This should of been addressed asap, with all the families camping and waiting to use the machines they could of done something, just saying. All in all, good stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a family friendly campground. There were lots of kids, especially in the pool until it closed at 9pm. The place is well kept, very busy and had friendly office folks. We reserved a somewhat private spot #C11 and were rewarded with some surrounding trees to aid in our seclusion. There were lots of areas without trees and the campers seemed to be crammed in. Bathrooms were right across from our spot. There were only 2 showers so that there was always a wait. Showers were 50 cents for 7 mins. They were private, very hot and had good water flow. We liked our time here and actually already recommended it to a family we met at our next campground in Salem! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very good campground with lots of camping areas. We have a big rig and were put on D section which is a large open field. Tents and small campers were around the perimeter and larger rigs in the centre. Plenty of space, and although our site was supposed to be a back-in we actually pulled through. Although I did not use the showers they appeared to be very clean. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. There is a free bus service that takes you all around the island and this is excellent. No complaints with this campground, and we would highly recommend it and stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The best first, the staff were great! Hardly any better. Very helpful and friendly. The only good thing about campground. Lots of weeds everywhere and run down sites. Dog waste everywhere and dogs ran loose. The restrooms were not very clean and I ran out of hot water as soon as I got wet. Could not figure out why as no one else was in the showers. The closest showers were closed so we had a walk to showers. I would rather stay in a Wal-Mart parking lot than here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are well laid out and sizes afford some privacy. Hosts are pleasant and helpful, we enjoyed our stay here although there are other RV Parks closer to Acadia or the ocean. The cable TV was so snowy we couldn't use it. Water pressure was so low at times (probably high shower times) that we only got a trickle. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is definitely a campground, as opposed to an RV park. Most big rigs choose the sister park, "Narrows Too", in Trenton. Lots of pop-ups and bumper pulls, although many sites accommodate larger fifth wheels and motor homes. Not many satellite-friendly sites, and the majority of sites do not have sewer. Some have cable. Our site, 340, being higher on the hill, offers an awesome view of the bay and has cable but no sewer. Also, being right across the road from the Wi-Fi antenna helps. Our Verizon phone gets good reception, but our 4G Jetpack card is hit and miss (Olympics don't help). If you want a little peace and quiet from the crowds, hang around the campground during the middle of the day and soak up the scenery. Like probably most other area campgrounds, this one is packed with campers in peak season, but it's quiet at night. The park is well staffed and all are friendly and super helpful. The facilities, while far from new, are clean and well maintained. If you enjoy tent camping, this is definitely the place to be. Half the campground is devoted to tent sites, and the sites are big and beautiful. Our rate indicates a special for Thousand Trails members during the month of July. We couldn't pass up extending for a total of four weeks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice CG on the "Quiet Side" of the island. People were very nice. Didn't like first site. No problem, was shown bigger site with full hookups. Very wooded, many tents, nice big pool. Kids loved it, although the playground and game room were small and limited. Close to Acadia and other places of interest. While we were there we went to look at all the other CGs on the island, i.e., Hadleys Point, Barcadia, Narrows Too etc. and we are going back to Spruce Valley. We camped here in a camper.
