We were fortunate enough to enjoy this park off season with no bugs, insects or mosquitoes. Our Oceanside site was gorgeous! What a view! Day 3 we asked to be moved to the bayside and they accommodated us without a problem. The wind! Continous wind for 48 hours! You could feel the motorhome moving. Bayside site 45 gave us full protection and you'd never know there were high winds outside. We were able to do some biking and walk the different trails. All the sites are very spacious and afford privacy. We did see lots of ponies in and around the campground. The rangers were all happy and friendly. The visitor center is nice and the movie informative about the island and the ponies. The rest rooms were kept extremely clean even though I never saw anyone cleaning them! Hope to return someday. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first experience at this park and I can assure you we will return. It is nature at its absolute best! The unspoiled beaches and wildlife rival anything we have experienced. The campground itself offers little to no amenities, but the openness, privacy, and good all-around feeling is worth the trip. We camped in Loop C bayside and found the site a very good fit for us. The rangers and other staff members we interacted with were friendly and happy people. Who wouldn't be working here? We were early enough in the season that bugs and insects weren't an issue. The ponies were all around us all weekend. Just one note or helpful hint: Study the campground maps very closely when choosing a site. All traffic in the loops is one-way and if you choose a drive-thru site on the wrong side of the road for your rig, you may find your door opening to the roadway rather than the picnic/patio area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Big sites right near the ocean and bay. You are parked in the dunes! Has great access to beach. We had extremely strong winds while here, but we managed. A short ride to Ocean City boardwalk, good bike paths and kayaking area in the marches. Strictly boondocking, no hookups. We liked this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I think this is the first 10 I've given. This park has everything and is well worth the price. We couldn't take advantage of the pools or tiki bar this time of year, but it didn't matter. This park has everything. Very friendly staff. Huge camp store with campers kitchen offering delicious foods (and free pancakes in the am). Extremely dog friendly. Playground, arcade, shuttle to the boardwalk. Everything you could ask for. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay at this wonderful RV park several times a year since it is only 2 hours from home. I last reviewed it in 2010 and there have been upgrades -- a fence has been added at Bark Beach between the dog area and the "people" area of the beach, a good thing -- tends to keep the dogs together in one section -- and they have a ball! More rental cottages in the Island Oasis section were added this year. Front desk personnel get better every year -- kudos -- and the workers who help with so many things in the campground are always a pleasure. The Jackspot bar seems well received and many people have commented on the good food offered at the cafe. Happy to note that the pools are open much later in the season than other campgrounds -- this year closing about October 1. Dog owners seem religious about picking up after their pets, and the dog friendly policies of the campground are appreciated by everyone. We are just completing a two week fall stay. The rate of $71 per night is mitigated by the two free nights allowed per week at this time of the year. Already planning our 2013 visits. A great park, enjoy! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Waterfront says ocean, but it is not really ocean; it is the Sinepuxent Bay which dumps into the Atlantic Ocean and is adjacent to the Assateague National Seashore, which is oceanfront, but you can't see it. The park is very clean, plenty of bath houses and laundry rooms available. Service is excellent, especially the bar at the bay side beach, although it did seem to go downhill a little towards the end of the summer. There is a full service cafe on site that will deliver right to your campsite, or to the bar, free of charge. We used this service a lot throughout the summer. The cell phone service and WiFi capability is lacking, an amenity necessary when staying at an ocean resort town. We stayed here several weekends and one week throughout the season. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
