We stayed here for 8 days. to see Boston and Cape Cod areas. It is a great location. Pricey but still a great location. Normandy Farms is a real nice, large, well-managed campground that is ideal for RV use. This place is real popular and we recommend you make reservations. They have over 400 spaces. When we showed up on a Thursday only 26 were filled. The following day, they are sold out! The roads generally throughout New England are poor so watch for the pot holes and road debris. The road coming into the campground has many pot holes and one section of about four feet where the asphalt is totally gone. You will like the spaces as they are level and clean. Plus this is a VERY kid-friendly place with lots for them to do! Make sure you have a water regulator because the water pressure is very high. On the downside, the prices in the store (while well stocked) were outrageous. A small bundle of firewood was expensive compared to getting it at a small farm down the road for less. The only complaint we had is the Wi-Fi is nearly non-existent even though they say it was great when we made the reservation. However, when we checked in they told us “It’s only for email and we use Tengo Internet.” For these reasons, we could only give it a 7 because we could not even get email when the place was full. If internet access is not important, this is the campground to stay at. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Good Sam membership. Place is as clean as it was last time we came here and the staff are VERY friendly. Everything worked as it should Wi-Fi was great. It's a great place to bring your pet. Very large dog park -well kept up. Nothing negative about Normandy Farms. Love it here. The sites are large and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We visited this campground in early April and it was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure that you knew what was available and near by. They were eager to answer any and all questions. The campground itself was in great condition with some work going on for additions and expansions, none of which interfered with our visit although work was being done nearby. The dog park was great. Great space for fur kids to run off their energy! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Even with all the good reviews, this place was better than expected. We had heard that the sites were small but ours site was great, large, plenty of room and the way they are angled, you are not looking at the trailer in front of you, you are looking down the street. We were there over April vacation and even though the place was packed, it was silent. As we sat out at our fire at 10 PM, we seemed to be the only ones still up. The boys spent hours at the bike park and fishing pond. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just returned after a three night stay; CG is clean with upkeep and additions going on all over. The CG was packed, lots of dogs, and the nights were a bit loud. Most of the sites are large, and have plenty of space for the coach and tow vehicle. I will be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived in October and stayed 1 month. When we arrived, we were advised that we would need to move to a different site for a "Holiday Weekend" and then could return to our original site. Still don't understand why they didn't put the weekender on the other site instead.... During our stay, there was a freak snowstorm (pre Halloween) that resulted in a power outage in the area. All parts of the campground were without power for a day. The office was back on the grid just over 24 hours after, while the remainder of the campground had to spend 4 days without power. Other than that, we found the campground extremely clean, well maintained roads and very large, spacious sites. Their dog park (over 1 acre fenced area to let pets run) is outstanding. Roads are packed dirt, many large old oak, maple and pine trees throughout the property. While we were there, they closed off sections to run new utility lines (upgrading to 50 amp). We stayed during the slow season and really enjoyed how quiet it was. It was amazing to see how busy and organized they are though when the masses descend as they did for Halloween. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great campground (resort), all of the staff was very friendly. They provided our dog with a walk while we were away visiting the sights. They are expanding and making upgrades to older sites. Large dog park for the four legged ones. Wi-Fi was great at our site saw many Wi-Fi antennas through out grounds. They provided plenty of information for area items of interest. Water pressure is high so make sure you use regulator. I would have given them a 10 but our site which had a 50 amp outlet but it was not working. The 30 amp was fine as the temp's had cooled off and we used the heater. Cable TV was good, many channels. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Fantastic Place! It was remarkable to see how much had changed over the years. I had not been here since I was a young boy. We went camping with friends and everyone had a great time. The facilities were great including the pools, game room, and outdoor activities. The recreation lodge was gorgeous! Plenty to do and see. Highly recommend camping here! Great campground for families, lots of scheduled activities every day for kids. Grounds and restrooms are kept spotless by the staff. Hurricane Irene was approaching so they closed the campground to everyone except out-of-state folks like us so we practically had the place to ourselves for a couple of days. It knocked out power for a couple of days though, but it was kind of fun "roughing it". We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great campground with phenomenal services and excellent staff. Very well-trained at reception/check-in. Should be as they are so busy it sounds like a call center at times. This campground is predominantly for families looking for activities galore (pools, rec center, planned activities for kids and adults). There is a buzz of activity all day long though it was quiet at night for sleeping. They really pack the people into this campground. At least the long diagonal pull-through mean you aren't staring into your neighbors trailer but there is very little green space on any of the sites (crushed stone is everywhere). The stone keeps the CG dry and it is always kept well graded. However, I like to have some grass on my site. Dog park is the best I have ever seen and the frisbee golf is popular at the beginning of the week and then unused after everyone tries it once or twice. Makes a great area for walking the dogs. Pools are too busy, no toys allowed (balls, noodles) and shallow (max 4'-6"). Kids got bored with pools quickly. Probably a great campground for adults during the week in the Spring and Fall. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We visited towards the end of July with kids. We chose the campground due to the proximity to Boston and Cape Cod. The check in was seamless, even on a Friday. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. It was 104 when we arrived and they had someone guide us to our site and even help back in. Our site was very private and away from all the amenities. We used the dog park every day, and I must say that it was the largest and cleanest park of any campground I have been to. Plenty of room for more dogs than probably were even camping there. We also played disc golf every day. This was our first time playing and had a great time. I would encourage everyone to grab a frisbee and play a hole!!! Our only complaint was the pools. As I stated it was 104 the first day and 98 the second. The pools (3 outside) were very busy and they don't allow anything to float on or play with. Kind of boring for kids!! I think a noodle or a soft ball is not a big deal to keep kids occupied in the pool. Needless to say the kids were bored and we left to try and find a local swimming hole we could use. I would recommend using the smaller pool with the hot tub near the office. It was far less crowded and the hot tub was a nice change. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Ten is not enough when rating this RV resort. It literally has everything. Large indoor and outdoor pools, morning coffee kiosk, clubhouse that is as large as a high school gym and offering anything one might wish to do including a separate adults only area! Restaurant, activity list that is too long to mention here, great staff and fantastic store. I could go on for an hour, suffice it to say as this is a true 15! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Use speedy check in and get treats for the dog and treats for the kids, then get escorted to your site (mostly pull throughs with limited privacy). Normandy Farms is over the top in terms of facilities, amenities, and customer service. This park is overflowing with hardworking, helpful, and courteous employees who enjoy their job, and make sure you enjoy your stay. It is one of the most expensive parks you will stay at in New England, but you get what you pay for, and this park has it all. Take advantage of on line coupons and Good Sam discounts to ease the pain, but remember, Normandy Farms is worth it! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is undoubtedly one of the finest campgrounds we have visited in 25 years of motorhoming. The checkin is efficient and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Normandy Farms offers easy access (40 footer), good interior roads, level sites, completeness of facilities, playground for children, beautiful fenced dog park, even a snack bar. The lovely college-age girls from the office even walked my dog so we could spend the day in Boston! We camped here for 5 nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The store and store clerks/check-in staff are excellent. Two minor issues; At check-in we were told that food was served in the snack bar until 10 pm, but grilled food was stopped at 9. The sign at the snack bar matches this. We attempted to order hot food at 8:30 and was told the grill was closed. At the laundry one morning I waited for someone to get their wet clothes out of the washers half an hour after the clothes were done. Finally I called guest services and they said to go to another laundry! I don't feel that this was the way to handle this. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want a nice quiet serene campground, this is not the place for you. It is a "family" campground with tons of things for the kids to do. We were unfortunately parked right across from two pools that were full of screaming kids all day long. Spaces were tight but had bushes in between so you do have some privacy. Even though we were only 30 miles out of Boston, we couldn't get Verizon Broadband for internet. Not sure what was up with that. Lots of shopping and sightseeing in the area. Beautiful campground but not sure we would return. Maybe for just an overnight if there was no alternative. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Arrived late afternoon to this very nice campground. This is a beautiful property, the staff was also nice. You could tell this would be a very fun campground during "peak" season, we must of had bad timing. We had to pay peak rates yet hardly any of the amenities were open. (Apparently they open on 6/17/11 when school is out). To make matters worse, they had loud/heavy equipment doing construction during our stay. Feel like we overpaid for what we got. This is a great campground. All the staff are extremely polite and helpful. The woman at check in was very friendly and courteous. She went through all the key information, then noted that a local seafood store would be on site the following afternoon to sell fresh seafood for those who didn't get tickets for the luau. She also pointed out the times that traffic would be bad on the main road outside the campground due to the Taylor Swift concerts the next two days. Our site, A7, was just long enough for our 30 ft travel trailer. We appreciated the poured concrete patio and the virtually brand new picnic table. The grounds of the campground were spotless and nicely landscaped. The main roads through the campground are paved, and we saw employees sweeping leaves and pine needles off the roads. The two play areas were beautiful and greatly enjoyed by our four-year old daughter. We all enjoyed the pools. We used the indoor heated pool the first morning because it was kind of chilly outside. We later enjoyed the heated outdoor pool after it warmed up. My husband and I took turns soaking in the hot tub while the other one swim with our daughter. Each pool is staffed with someone who opens and closes the gate as you enter and exit and keeps order in the pool (no jumping, diving, etc). Note, all kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We were also impressed with the clean, air conditioned rest rooms. The campground also has several other amenities including disc golf, a dog park, a bike park, a fishing pond, softball fields, etc. Our only complaint was that because you cannot bring in outside firewood (due to the risk of bugs like the Asian Long-horned beetle), you have to buy kiln-dried firewood there for $5.50 per small bundle. Overall we had a great stay here. We originally booked for two nights and decided to stay a third. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our only complaint was that we had a very small site. We were at D8. It was the smallest site we had ever had. When walking around, we noticed many larger sites. The resort was incredible. One of the very best we have been to. The staff was VERY friendly. We were treated like VIP's everywhere we went. The staff held doors open for us at every pool entrance every time we entered and exited. It rained the first two days we were here, but we were able to swim for hours at the indoor pool. The outdoor heated pool was pretty warm. The two outdoor unheated pools were very cold. They had a lot of activities for our children. The playground was outstanding. The pond was fun for the kids who brought fishing poles etc. The rec hall was very nice with a games arcade. They had movies at night for the kids. They have a full basketball court etc. Check in was very fast. We really have no complaints other than our site size. But we forgot about that quickly with everything else being so outstanding. The campground is also about 4 miles from Gillette Stadium. My wife and daughter had a short drive to see Taylor Swift. The park is kept up very nicely. Only reason we gave it a 9 and not a 10 was the site size. We would without question return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

What can I say. This park sets the bar for perfection. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous, the grounds are impeccable, the washrooms were exceptionally clean, it is large with lots of open spaces beyond the RV sites - baseball field, fishing pond, disc golf, 4 pools, a beautiful rec center, lots to do. Kids will adore the basketball court and the playground! We are retired and we absolutely loved this place! The park ranger drove us to our site (which we could have found easily on our own but we appreciated the extra attention) and while we were backing up, he was picking up any stray garbage and raking out the fire pit! I asked for info for the subway to Boston and I got about 3 pages compared to 3 lines from the last campground - very detailed - call it instructions for dummies - but much appreciated. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours (depending on road work or time of day) to drive to Riverside station and take the subway downtown. Be forewarned! Campground is also very close to Patriot Place (if the Patriots are not playing, there are still concerts - we missed Taylor Swift- and soccer games, as well as a great cinema, several resaturants, and great stores (check out Outdoor World - Bass Pro Shops - WILD!). I cannot imagine anyone not liking this campground and their obvious attention to detail and drive to excellence. I would absolutely stay here again next time I want to visit Boston, Cape Cod or Rhode Island. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Everything you could ask for in "camping." Best campground I have ever been to. Great amenities, great staff, clean, clean, clean. Lots for kids and grownups to do. Very nice dog park. 4 pools (one heated indoor, one heated outdoor, one regular, one diving). Spa, sauna, weight room, 3 Jacuzzis. At least 2 well thought out kid playgrounds, restrooms and showers located throughout the campgrounds. Lovely, clean laundry. Great ball fields, fishing pond, basketball court. Huge staff. Security patrols all night. Beautifully landscaped. Large, beautiful lodge with kid arcades and adults only areas. Huge screen TV. Great snack bar on weekends and in summer. Beautiful, well stocked store. Most well trained staff I've seen. Love it, love it, love it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Awesome! The staff was one of the friendliest we have ever encountered. The gate keepers even had treats for my dogs! We were in the 900 section and were very pleased. Full hook ups with cable TV. We chose this campground because it is close to home and did not want to deal with the Cape Cod traffic on Memorial Day Weekend. We could hear some traffic noise from route 1 or 495, but with the A/C it was not a problem. The safari fields were somewhat crowed, but since we like full hook ups, we would not stay in those areas. Disc golf was a nice addition and the dog park was one of the largest and best I have seen. They even has an area to wash your dog. We will definitely be frequenting this campground. Sometimes the BEST is right under your nose! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is what a campground (resort) should be; sites level and spacious, everything clean, well maintained grounds and very friendly staff. This is my favorite place to stay. Clean, clean, clean. As close to perfect as possible, for winter in New England. I stayed here 30 years ago, and still remembered it and returned, from Alabama. We even had wild turkeys in the park a couple of days before Thanksgiving. This is the most complete and professionally managed RV resort that I have ever seen, and I have paid much more for much less. We have toured Boston downtown, North Shore, South Shore and Cape Cod from here. The park is immaculate, as are the bath houses and showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a month at this park and as others have noted it is as close to perfect as you can get. Rather than rehash what others have said we will highlight what we found great about the park. The indoor heated pool, spa, and sauna; the quiet nights, family friendly location, adjacent State Forest with great mountain biking trails; the easy access to shopping and Gillette Stadium. There are incredible fall colors in this park, which is managed like a professional business. The weekends are a bit crazy so we just planned to be away from the park Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon (every single spot was filled on every weekend). During the week this place was heaven. A previous poster mentioned the during week construction: unlike them we were not notified of the impending noise and found the constant drone of the tractor a bit annoying. Verizon cell signal is okay but not fast for data cards. Has cable TV hook ups AND good digital over air signals. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent two weeks here over the Columbus Day Holiday weekend and the one after it. We made our reservation 10 months before and were lucky to get the last 50 amp site. This campground is booked solid on weekends but during the week, when school is in session, there are lots of spots open. We agree with others that it is a wonderful place to stay to visit both MA and RI. Every attention to detail is made, from reservations to maintenance. We were surprised how quiet it is even when all the sites are filled and did not notice anyone around us not maintaining quiet hours. They were upgrading the sewer and cable TV system close to where we were, and upon check-in an apology was made about possible construction noise during the day. Our site was a back-in approximately 60 feet long and at least 25 feet wide with about 10 feet of grass between the sites. There was only one less than perfect item and that was an interior road that had some pot holes in it. We would recommend this park for everyone, from family use to senior use. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. It is close to many cities, attractions, and shopping. They have a concierge that is very knowledgeable about the area and can help you plan activities. We used the campground as a base to go into Boston and tour the countryside. The staff is friendly. The grounds are meticulous. They have a security gate and staff is constantly driving around to help anyone with questions, problems, etc. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone coming to the Boston area. Normandy Farms is HUGE with an endless range of activities and amusements. It's a wonderland for children. We camped here over Labor Day weekend and they pack them in to capacity. We've been here twice over a holiday, and I would recommend you book far enough in advance so you don't go into a safari field. Although there is a curfew for kids and quiet hours, I did not see that it was administered, which made it tough for those with small children who needed to sleep. The rest rooms are the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. Although the place was packed, there usually was no wait for the showers which are free. They should be because this place is expensive. It cost me $3 to do a load of laundry and $2 to dry it. The camp store has whatever you need, at a price. You're better off going down the street a couple of miles to the grocery store. But they have a cute gift shop. We didn't use the pools, but there are a couple of cool playgrounds for kids. There are so many things to do, you'll never get bored, unless you just stay in your camper and watch TV. I do have a problem with the fact that they only let you have a campfire after 6:00 at night and the fire rings are small. But the place is very dog friendly and gives you free baggies to pick up after your pets. I didn't come across anyone ignoring that rule. I like this place and have a lot of fun while I'm here, but if it's peace and quiet you're after, move on. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Best recreation facilities at any campground we've been to. Lots of friendly staff. Has three pools: opened to 9-10pm. Has a well stocked store. Our site (C5) was spacious, clean and backed by lovely woods, if a little exposed. But considering we booked last minute it was amazing! Advice: in summer book early! Had spotless showers and toilets, laundry etc. Many activities: I hardly saw my kids the three days we were here and they didn't want to leave! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. Excelled facilities, including large pools, VERY clean, modern restrooms and handicap facilities. Only drawback for handicap use is that the interior roads are gravel. Although they warn of the high water pressure, we always travel with a pressure valve anyway. This is a terrific park if you can get one of the regular sites. Unfortunately, the last two trips, we only got in the Safari Field with W/E: they are fairly close, out in the sun and defined by chalk lines. For the price they charge, I will only go back off season or if I can get a last minute regular site. Facilities are clean. Staff is friendly. WiFi does not work well in all locations but you can go in the office and use their computers. Easy to get to, if you are not in traffic for a Patriot's Game. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park, only wish (1) they had a shuttle to and from the commuter rail station and (2) the sites were a bit bigger. All sites and all roads are gravel, so tell your kids to be careful on their bikes. As for sightseeing, the concierge directs you to the green subway line, I would recommend the red. It's closer and less stops to get into downtown. Also, at some of the green stops, the engineer seemed to be collecting fares which slows you down even more. Further, if you have a high/tall profile vehicle make sure your vehicle can fit into the garage at the station, we went to Quincy North which had ground parking. They also have nice air-conditioned, clean restrooms. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Wow! By far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Super friendly staff and a bunch of them. Easy check in and an escort to the site. As I parked, the 'ranger' dragged the picnic table closer to the motor home and then raked the marks it had left. Gravel roads but they were very well maintained. High water pressure, use a regulator. The information center is crammed with brochures about the area and is staffed by knowledgeable people to answer questions and provide directions to anywhere. Yes, it does take some time to get to Boston (use the MTBA) but hey, it's vacation, remember? WiFi was unavailable while we were there due to upgrading. Oh, well, if it weren't for bad luck. We camped with 2 younger children. The campground was clean and well kept but the playground was sub standard and out dated. It looked like something I played on in the 1970's though the kids made the best of it. We had some conflict with the staff. 1. The store was closing at 9:00pm. The time was 8:55 and we needed to get to the store to buy the all famous glow sticks for the girls. (Little things go a long way in a child's mind.) We were on the farthest part of the campground and decided to put the girls in the plastic wagon and the 2 adults (age 40) would run and pull them in the wagon so we could make it before the store closed. It was like a reality show challenge but we decided it would be fun to try. The kids were laughing, the adults were huffing and puffing but we made it and the girls were happy about the over priced glow sticks. Mission impossible complete. As parents we were proud of ourself for getting the job of providing a bit of happiness to our kids done. While walking our way back to the camp site we were pulled over by staff police and reprimanded and warned for running too fast in the campground with a wagon. Feeling a little foolish we walked on and for the rest of the visit we didn't run in fear of being removed from the campground. I'm 30lbs over weight and I've never been pulled over for running too fast. 2. When we were trying to enjoy the pool and hot tub we were harassed by an elderly pool police woman. I was in the hot tub and the kids were in the pool. My daughters arm floats kept slipping down and she approached the hot tub for help with readjusting them. (She can swim but being a nervous parent I made her wear them.) My daughter was warned not to go near the hot tub and she quickly went back to the pool. A second time she needed some assistance with the arm floats and approached the hot tub. Again the woman quickly came over to us and we got a 2nd warning. The 3rd time my daughter approached me for help with the pesky arm floats. Frustrated with the arm device, I told my daughter to brace her hand on the side of the tub so I could give her a good tug upwards and finally get this thing right. Well as soon as my daughter put her hand on the edge of the tub, the tactical hot tub enforcement team pounced and the elderly woman put my daughter in time out on a chair for 10 minutes against my will. For touching the hot tub?! We were the only people in the swimming area at the time so it seems the staff woman didn't have anyone else to occupy her mind. After the 2 negative experiences with the staff and us "breaking the rules" we walked around nervous about what we might do wrong next. We have never been back to this campground since. But it does lend itself to a good story for our other camping friends. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was my first time back to Nomandy Farms in over 25 years since I was a kid (2nd generation RVer). My family is all new to RVing and this was their first trip. The campground is a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Bathroom and grounds are perfect. Staff is constantly cleaning. Wife and kids loved it. This was our fist RV'ing experience. Stayed at site #21. One word...Perfect!. Was very impressed with the site, staff were great very helpful and the indoor pool was a hit with the kids as well as the huge playground. Wi-Fi had a good connection, was kind of bummed about the cable channels only 4 or 5 of them but no big deal we have DVD's for the kids. Always saw maintenance working on upkeep (opening weekend). The site was very level on a fine pea stone. Bathroom and showers were spotless. The only problem I ran into was the water pressure was so high my regulator shut off (tried two different ones), so I just cracked the valve a bit and worked fine. I definitely would recommend this campground, book well in advance it books quickly. Labor day was already booked by the end of Easter weekend. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is very large but conveniently located only 3 miles from the Gillette. Luckily it was off season so it was nice and quiet. Sites are clean and all covered in gravel some with concrete pads. Park is professionally run and staff was very polite. We used public showers because water was not on yet and bathrooms where well maintained. Also, public rec areas are clean and modern. This is an outstanding resort. This was my 4th visit. The speedy check-in saves a ton of time. We found our site and there was someone immediately there to ask us if we needed any help. He also came by when we were packing up and asked again. There are a ton of activities for everyone. The store carries all items that you might possibly need plus there is a gift shop with t-shirts and other gifts. We were on a water/electric site. The bathrooms are immaculate. It's important to know which site you are choosing as some look like a parking lot with gravel and not much room for a fire. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. This is a very large professionally run campground. The facilities are very nice. Among other pools – there is an indoor pool and hot tub as well. Have been staying here for one week every month for the last 5 months when working in the area. Most recently in mid August I bought my family for the week, and they loved it. We rented a local car (Enterprise will pick you up at the campsite) and went our separate ways- me to work and wife and kids exploring. Location is great, and you are within one hour of the Cape. I did not encounter any of the noise complaints, or drunken adults like the earlier reviews mentioned--only friendly campers around us, and the place quiets down after 9-10pm. We had a large Class A, but cooked outside--each spot has a fire ring and picnic table. The only problem I had was finding my campsite on a late arrival one pre-season night (April). The first visit to the campground I had trouble reading their provided map--my issue, not theirs, since with a campground that size I should have driven the toad around to orient myself before pulling the whole rig in. In addition they also employ some retired work campers as employees. I found them very helpful and very friendly. Yes, the phone gets busy in the summer. It is so nice a lot of the campers are Boston area people on “vacation” locally. I plan to return. One day during my June stay, one of their workers accidentally cut my water hose while cutting the grass. The main office replaced the hose and promptly called me on my cell to let me know what was going on. They could not have been nicer and more responsive. The campsite width is about average for a commercial campground. The pads are gravel, and yes, only some of the sites have cable, but the local reception is great from Boston and Providence, and some of the sites are on the edge of a field for sat reception (good shot at the sky). We camped here in a Motorhome.

If I were to rate just the campground, without regard to our experience, it would be a 10. Extremely clean, tons to do, facilities impeccable. However, if I were to rate this campground based on our experience alone, it would be a 1, so I met in the middle with my rating of 5. Getting a human on the line when phoning this campground was extremely difficult, first for the original reservation, then later just for some simple questions. Several times we sat on hold so long that we would just hang up and try later. This campground is just minutes away from the Gillette Stadium, convenient if you are attending an event, but we were not. We were trying to arrive for the 3:00pm check-in, but got stuck in the traffic from the Kenny Chesney/Country Fest (starting at 4:00) which added two hours to our trip! I'm sure locals could have figured out how to get around it, but we could not. I felt the proximity to the stadium could have been mentioned when we reserved our spot, especially since it was the day of a huge concert: but how were we to know? So we arrive frustrated and angry and have to deal with a 30 minute check-in procedure: waivers to sign, paperwork to go over, it was really quite ridiculous. Every staff member at the desk is wearing a headset/microphone. It feels like pulling into Disney World, not camping. The first night we were awakened to what sounded like a demolition derby outside our camper. The concert had let out and all the drunks had returned. I could not tell if any staff members ever came and said anything. I would have called but I did not feel like waiting on hold for 30 minutes. The second night: I went out after quiet hours to pick up my laundry from the dryers and there were teenagers everywhere, being obnoxious, and all dressed and ready like they were going out clubbing, and here I was worried that I should not have been using the dryers that late. Then at check out, I went to collect our deposit back for the water pressure regulator we had borrowed, and was told, no way, they don't even lend those out, and said I must be confused. I leave and my husband goes right in and returns with the deposit, no problem. She said she was looking at the wrong computer screen when she told me that. Another group came in to borrow equipment for disc-golf. They told the headset girl that they had been told on the phone that it was free, and she said, no it's $40 for a group of 4. Who pays that much for disc-golf? This place is nice and well-maintained, but it is a free-for-all! People are driving all over in their cars, just to get to the pools, because the park is so big, and it's so far to walk from the back campsites! It was scaring me to see little kids on bikes almost getting hit by these cars time after time. It's a constant flow of traffic all through the campground. We normally like places with great amenities, but this place gave us a headache. We will not be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our all time favorite campground. I have camped here since I was 7 and look forward to our trips every year. This park is clean, well organized, and has so much to do. We never leave when we are here. The pools are crystal clean and the front pool is heated so you can swim in just about any weather spring/fall. The dog park is the best I have ever seen with a large fenced area and agility obstacles. The kids will not get bored here. There is an extensive activity schedule, and there are always kids to play. I don't think I have ever seen an activity canceled due to low participation. The draw back is the price, Normandy Farms is the most expensive campground we visit. I can tell you they put the money back into the facility though. The rec hall is second to none, the grounds are beautiful, and the pool complexes are many. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place is huge, if you have kids this is the place for you. Lots of activities & amenities. Thankfully we were put out back, where there weren't so many kids. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is one of the worst systems we have encountered, the lady at the help desk said they need to reboot the system about 5-6 times a day, plus the antennas in the back of the park are on 3 ft. poles covered by trees. You can go to the Adult Loft and log in, but quite a hike from the back. The spaces are really big and for a park of this size, it was really quiet at night. We absolutely loved this well organized campground. Just to many amenities to mention. Most of the campsites that I saw (including ours) were average in size and looked well graded. Campground runs 80 to 100 # water pressure so make sure you have a inlet water reducing valve on your camper. As mentioned on previous reviews campground is super staffed. Absolutely huge dog park with lots of pet amenities. Campground has over 1000 sites and considering the amount of dogs we saw I was pleasantly surprised to see no unpicked up dog poop... Campground IMO seems to attract a lot of responsible pet owners. Wi-Fi was just OK at our site and our cell phone worked great. The only disappointment we found was the hot food served there was not very good. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

While the trees in this campground are well trimmed, the trees on the connecting road (Thurston St.) are not. So be prepared to be scratched if there’s any on-coming traffic. This is the best staffed campground we’ve ever seen, including “park rangers” to lead first timers to their site. We used our Good Sam card and a First Timer’s coupon from their web site (look under Rates then Promotions) for discounts. We were told at check-in that they no longer pick up your daily trash bag, so it may be a long walk to one of only three dumpers in this very large campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very Nice Campground. The restrooms and showers were the cleanest we have ever seen. When you actually look forward to your next hot shower that is about the best you ask for. This is one of the most important things you can get right in our opinion. Our site was not the best in the park and seemed to be sort of be a overflow site that was all gravel with no grass on the perimeter of the park with the hookups on the wrong side of the rig for what ever reason. There were many other great sites and after we were set up it really did not bother us. The pools were very nice and there is an indoor pool that made it great with any cold weather. The staff was very friendly and always engaging. The dump station was nicely done all in concrete with gloves and a high pressure hose. We would however like to see more full hookup sites with sewer and cable which were not available for our visit. We will visit this campground again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Normandy Farm Campground is a great resort camping park. The grounds are immaculate and they are always being kept clean by workers. The staff was very friendly and they guide you to your site. There are 4 pools yes, I said 4 pools. They have 3 outdoor pools and one indoor pool with 2 hot tubs, sauna, and work out room. For the adults they have a nice lounge on the second floor of their lodge with big screen TV, books, and board games. In the back of the resort there is a nice large fenced in dog park. Normandy Farms Campground is a good home base for day trips to Plymouth, Quince, Boston, Cape Cod, and (Newport, RI). There is plenty to do for a week stay and you will really enjoy relaxing and doing nothing at the campground because of its beauty. If I could think of anything bad to say it would be the sites are narrow, but the use of shrubs and bushes to separate the sites still give you a good sense of privacy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have been going to Normandy Farms at least 2 or 3 times a year. From as early as May 1st till late October. No matter when we go the camp ground is always clean and neat. The staff is always nice. The only issue we have with Normandy Farms is for the price some sites are a little small. We always book the sites near the front softball field. They are a little larger. We love this park. Nothing wrong with it. Hugh playground for kids. Nice big recreation hall with indoor pool for winter. Bathrooms are immaculate. Staff helpful and friendly. My only issue, which will keep us away next year for the April vacation, was the cost. There are no activities and yet the C/G still charges a lot fee plus 5$ a night per kid. So, I paid extra$10 a night per kid with no activities or outdoor pools etc. to entertain them. I think the kid fee should be waived when activities are not available. That is my only concern. It cost me an extra $100 for the 2 kids to only entertain ourselves. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow. That's all I can say. I made my reservations 6 mths. ago for this weekend, and was praying it would live up to the hype. That it did, and more. This campground is immaculate - the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff made us feel special - not often that you see that anymore. The landscaping is wonderful, the grounds are wonderful, the amenities are wonderful. We used the indoor pool/jacuzzi/sauna. 2 workers there at any given moment. It was never over crowded, always monitored and clean. Dog park is HUGE. More than I'd expected. We had a large pull through (site 511). Plenty of space, nice large site. Campground was very, very quiet at night (perhaps because it's Oct. and cold, but still we were surprised). Staff is very helpful. I truly can't say enough about this campground other than we will definitely be back. Price is a bit steep, but you get what you pay for, and I can think of no other campground that compares. We opted to spend a week at this campground en route to Maine, and based our decision in great part on the glowing reviews others had made about it. It is a very nice campground, but we were a bit surprised by how very many campsites it has, and how close together they are - it felt a bit like a 'small city.' It does seem to have lots to do for kids, with some organized daily activities and three sparkling pools. It also has a nice little fishing pond. Quiet it wasn't, though. The hum of steady traffic from a nearby freeway was audible at night, and one of our neighbors had a strange ritual of chopping wood at 11 p.m. That said, we would stay here again if we're in the area. This is one of my favorite campgrounds to visit. We have been camping here for several years and always look forward to our visits. We usually try to make it to their Father's Day Weekend and Halloween Weekend. We also try to book at least one week in the summer. There are plenty of activities for everyone in the family, but it is also a perfect place to sit back, relax and do nothing. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The fellow campers have always been pleasant and if there is an occasional trouble maker, they are dealt with professionally. The sites, bathrooms and grounds are always meticulously maintained. It used to seem a bit pricey to me, but I've visited several campgrounds that charge the same or more and do not offer half of the amenities of this place. I would very highly recommend it. The only draw back is that the popular weekends book a year in advance which is not always easy to plan for. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very nice. Possibly the best I have ever been to. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Site was very nice. If you are visiting the campground for the first time a worker/ranger escorts you to your site. We had a problem in the beginning as we were escorted to the wrong site by the staff. We set everything up including a screen house and the people that actually had the site showed up. We then had to pack everything up which took us a while and move to our real site. We were a bit upset. The staff member was very apologetic, accepted responsibility, offered to help me pack up and set back up. The matter was resolved very professionally and we were satisfied. A lot of sites do have the same exact number but in a different named area (like "safari") and that is where the confusion originated. Just make sure you are in the right named area before setting up. Anyway there was lots to do here and the pools are very nice. Our site was great and everyone was very friendly. overall a great experience and we will definitely be returning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Normandy Farms based mainly on reviews on this site. We were not disappointed. The campground is lovely and very family friendly. Every single person on the staff that we spoke to was extremely nice and working very hard to make your stay pleasant. There were also many activities for our kids (ages 7 and 10). My only complaint - and the reason that I didn't give them a 10 - is that some of the sites were very crowded over the weekend. We stayed the first few days during the week and it was lovely. When we left on Saturday, the park had filled up with many groups of tent campers who parked in the road making exit in our big rig difficult. Once the staff noticed the difficulty we were having they spoke to the campers and asked them to move their cars. Overall, this is a fabulous campground - clean, neat, and well maintained. At the same time, it is full of trees and shade. This is just what a family campground should be....we will be staying here again when we return. Oh, and the wifi worked well the entire time we were there. And, it was free. That's unusual. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What can I say other than Normandy Farms is among the best of the best. The showers & toilets are immaculate and equal to Disney. The pull thru sites are large and easily accessible, and the store is well stocked. Three nice outdoor pools and a heated indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna provide relief after a long day site seeing. It is easily accessible from all areas and central to a lot of places to visit, yet back in the woods, peaceful quiet. A note about the back in sites...they did to seem kind of crowded together. I would opt for a pull thru for anything other than a pop up. The only minor "shortfalls" I could manage to comment on are that the tables have really short legs, and thus are really low to the ground, making them uncomfortable...and there was no cable TV. We are staying for two weeks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Wherever we go camping, we always compare campgrounds to Normandy. We highly recommend anyone who loves camping to come here. We have been to campgrounds that call themselves "resort" but are not. This one truly is. We have camped here on fall weekends, Thanksgiving weekend (cold in a pop-up, but they had excellent activities!), and April school vacation week. We have not had a bad vacation yet. The facilities are spotless, there are activities to do year round, the recreation lodge is amazingly beautiful, the bathrooms and laundry facilities, which are sprinkled throughout the campground, are beautiful and feature granite counter tops. They have a great ball field, a new dog park (we don't have pets but it's a great place if you do), basketball courts, shuffleboard, disc golf course, etc. You name it, they have it. And if they don't have it, they'll get it for you! We can't recommend Normandy Farms enough! The only bad part is it books fast! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The office staff was unfriendly and actually made our visitors leave a credit card and driver's license as security even though it was a weekday and off season. Really just a great full-service campground. We camped here the first weekend in November during the remnants of Hurricane Noel, and we still enjoyed ourselves. Sites do vary, with some older ones not being very wide for slideouts, but newer sites are huge. Bathrooms are some of the best I've ever seen, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Only gripes (and they're fairly small) is a city garbage truck came by at 7:30am on Saturday -very loud and disruptive and the pancake breakfast served very undercooked sausages. Overall highly recommended, especially the adult reading/tv loft and the lovely indoor pool and jacuzzi's. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We have always heard this was the best campground in the Northeast, and finally had chance to try it out this July. The park is huge, and well maintained. We were in the Safari area, and I felt that the $72/night price tag was a bit steep for W/E in a field. The pools were nice, but were a good walk from our site. Activities were plentiful and there is a nice trail to hike. The bath house near us lacked showers, but we used the one in our trailer. We would visit again, as long as it's not in the Safari area. We stayed in this lovely campground in a 45' Motorhome with plenty of space and elbow room. Cable did not work, but Wi-Fi was free and outstanding. A great family park; albeit we prefer campgrounds with less kids, we did not mind at all. This is truly a GREAT campground with tons of activities and amenities. Our motorhome has bathrooms and a washer and dryer, but I visited both and they were top notch. I would highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground should be a model for all others. Upon arrival at 9pm we were escorted to our site and assisted in backing it in. There was excellent security and someone even walked around at quiet hour to make sure everyone was keeping the volume reasonable. The playground was huge and fenced in which made it easier to keep track of the kids. The indoor pool was clean, the perfect temperature and properly chlorinated with beautiful decor. They had candy bar bingo and had mardi gras beads for everyone at the end. They had movies in the evening, scavenger hunts and many other activities. The sites were very level and roomy. You could hardly tell which sites were seasonals because they were all tastefully maintained. I asked a campground employee about the seasonals and they explained that they require all seasonals to move sites throughout the season. The laundry and bathrooms were clean, clean, clean! Everything was well run and beautifully maintained. Checkout was 2pm, which gave us an opportunity to eat lunch before taking off. This is a great campground and we can't wait to revisit. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for the kids school vacation. This trip began on Friday the 13th and the ole myth rang true. A real Nor-easter moved through the area bringing with it 4 days of pounding rain. The indoor pool and hugh rec hall were a plus for the kids. We played games in the rec hall and were able to get out of the camper for a bit. The weather had nothing to do with the campground. The only thing I wished had happened is the campground would have offered a safe place/shelter. The wind blew at 60 mph gusts rocking the campers. Limbs down. Not a safe or comfortable sleep. I think the C/G should have offered the rec hall as a shelter to those with children. Sleeping bags on the floor and a movie would of put a lot at ease. I will email this to the C/G. Other than that...excellent stay. We'll to back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If you have never been to a camping resort, this one comes with a warning. Do not go to NFCG as you will be spoiled and disappointed when you visit other resort campgrounds. This is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) campground in New England. Actually as I type this, I'm wondering why I'm doing so. It will just encourage more of you to visit and this is already a tough place to get into. I'm one of those folks that stand outside every year in the cold on March 15 to get reservations/sites that I want for the following year. That's right, I stand in line in the cold dark, pre-dawn New England winter on March 15, 2007 to make reservations for the 2008 camping season. If this park had a large pond for boating and fishing or was on the ocean it would be utopia. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

My comments start with saying this is a beautiful campground. I would give it a 10 if all the camp roads were paved and there were a little less pool rules. I don't think a foam ball in the pool has drowned anyone yet but its banned. Tough for teens to have any fun in all the pools. Wow! This was the Hilton of campgrounds! We were on a 12 day trip from Michigan to the East Coast & back and this was by far the nicest place we stayed. They have 4 pools (one was indoor). A huge rec room with a kids area and adult area. Many planned activities for the kids. Baseball games, soccer games, disk golf, fishing, and a playground. (Just to name some!) They have a concierge to help you with your travel plans. They have two computers with internet access that are free to use. We were escorted to our site by a ranger who immediately stated the rules about quiet time and how they were enforced. When that time arrived - it was quiet - hard to believe with 400 sites! They have a staff of 125 employees and the campground shows it. Bathrooms are modern with all the latest in automatic fixtures. There were so many men & boys cutting the grass that I lost count. Someone was re-staining a fence that was starting to show just a tiny bit of wear. They are on top of things!!! The office area had about 10 people working in it with about 5 people just taking reservations and checking in campers. We heard they received the Campground of the Year award in 2005 and we can see why!!! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Camping at this resort is nothing less than SUPER! Staff are helpful and friendly. We arrived late one weekend and the ranger not only escorted us to the site in the pouring rain and darkness, he proceeded to help DH back up and level up! That is service! Of all the times we love Mother's and Father's Day weekends best. Always loads to do, the game room is fun, the computer/business office is nice, the store has saved us many a times, loved watching disk golf, sites can be small but when you reserve, they need all your info: slides, length, etc. The book up fast. They are now taking 2008 (yes, 8) reservations and will sell out holiday weekends then. There is a good reason why they need to be sure you sign the waiver at the pool, trust me. The weight room, Wi-Fi and campers kitchen just add to nearly perfect weekends. Quiet hour, really is quiet hour. This place is a perfect destination, don't use it to spend day triping from, you won't get your $$ worth. Lastly, don't miss the Wrentham Outlets on your out of town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Best maintained cg we have found in the area, with new facilities in almost all sections of the grounds. Most pull-through sites are roomy enough, well-shaded, although somewhat open. Some other previews note that Boston is two hours away in traffic, but Normandy Farms is the closest campground to the city, and any other cg would be a longer drive. The sites are a bit pricey, but real estate in the area is outrageously priced (and correspondingly taxed), and the campground maintains a large active staff, mostly the same family, by the way. We live only a few miles away, and use the Farms quite often for one or two-day getaways. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If your looking for a place to park your RV and yourself for a week, then this is the place. If your the type that uses the campground as a homebase, then keep looking. Despite the hype you will read, Nomandy Farms is an hour and a half to ANYWHERES you might want to see. Two hours to Boston with the traffic, two hours to the beach, 1 1/2 hours to Salem or Plymouth. 40 minutes to a decent restaurant and the list goes on. And for $60.00 a night, I would expect cable TV hookup (Do not provide) and site pickup for your garbabe (Required that each camper haul their own garbage to a dumpster, which are few and far between). After a few hours wandering around, it became quite apparent why they must charge $60.00 per night; they have twice as much help as they need. They have a guy at the guard shack that does nothing but tell newly registered campers to pull up to the stop sign and wait for another employee who arrives on a cart to escourt you to your site. That conversation could of been had in the registration building. And this guy cannot even be bothered to open the gate for you as you arrive or depart the facility. You must lean out of your rig to wave a magetic tag at a sensore to get the gate to open. Really stupid considering the guy is stading right there. Jeesh. They also have an employee at the pool to make sure you sign a waiver, of which you already signed when you registered. They have two guys that ride the same cart every morning looking at empty sites and checking off on their maps. Like another poster said, the site sizes are from tiny to huge. We had a good sized site, but others were cramped in. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very well run campground with superior facilities. With this in mind, it was the most expensive campground and the smallest site I have stayed in from Maine to the Florida Keys. We had the choice between extending our slide or deploying the awning, but not both. When I made a reservation over one month in advance there were only three sites available. Most of the other sites are nicely sized. My complaint is not directed toward the facilities or employees working there, but directed at the pricing policy. A site that small should not be priced the same as one three times larger. If you stay there, be sure to ask about the size of the site. It was my experience that they won't tell you if you don't ask. I probably would have gone to another campground if I had known. I would definitely stay there again if I were guaranteed a normal site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was the first RV park we stayed at. Spent the winter months from December '04 to April '05. We'd visited the website and researched the park heavily before we signed up for the winter full-time camping and we were not disappointed with what we found on arrival. We paid $605/mo which worked out to be $21/night for a full hook-up site with 30A for long-term winter camping, which I hear they no longer offer. Electricity was billed on a monthly basis. They had us come down to meet with the campground owner who went over some winter camping basics and survival tips with us. Very informative meeting and gave us some very good tips and need-do items. Plowing was prompt and cost $10. 00 per storm. They installed a 300lb propane tank and made all the connections to our rig for us (for a fee). The rec hall & pool were open year round. It was very nice to sit in a hot tub when the weather outside was -10F. Very friendly staff and store stocked with enough basics to work in a pinch. Not as well stocked as it is for their high season. Friendly helpful staff that was always there when we needed them. WiFi in the park was good, about the best speed of any of the parks with WiFi we've been to yet. On the flipside the sites are a bit narrow. Most of the pull-through sites have little or no shade. I would have preferred a bit more space and privacy between us and our neighbors to either side. Very high cost during the high season!!! One of the most expensive parks I've seen, Disney's Fort Wilderness not withstanding. Cost is only objection, if cost was less would not hesitate to stay again if in area. Highly recommended based on facilities, helpfulness & friendliness of staff, and on facilities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Tons of activities for the whole family. 3 outdoor pools and 1 inside Pool (shallow 3-4ft great for kids) 3 hot tubs and a sauna. The activity lodge is beautiful. This is a camping resort for a wonderful family vaction! More money than most campgrounds nearby, but certainly worth every
penny! We camped here in a camper.

A family resort with tons of activities, 3 pools. 30 Miles to Boston, close to Cape Cod. Room for big rigs. Expensive in Summer Season. Rules are enforced, don't worry about loud parties next door. Off-season rates go way down. Wooded, shade. We camped here in a camper.
