This was an older park with a lot of seasonal trailers. FHU sites were at the entrance of the park. Only W/E available around the river and inner section. No one was in the office so it was self pay. It made for a nice 2 day stay but the town has pretty much closed up. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a nice quiet city park. The lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful. We stayed on site #19 which was a water and electric site on the river. We had to pull into the site so that the water and electric hookups were on the correct side of the RV. Site was shady, fairly level, with a picnic table, fire ring and plenty of grass. Campground has a number of occupied seasonal sites located off the river. If you are into fishing this would be a nice campground to stay at. Not much else to do in the town of Au Gres because most of the shops have closed up. Our Verizon air card and ATT cell phones worked fine here If we ever pass through the area again we would stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground is on the river just a block off of the highway with riverfront sites costing $2 more. About half the campground is in trees, the rest of the sites are open. Excellent for satellite. Sites were level on grass or gravel. Interior roads were good. Host was friendly. We would stay here again over the marina campground that is about 5 miles out of town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
