Leelanau Pines Campground is located roughly 30 minutes outside of Traverse City and about 20 minutes from Lake Michigan. It is located on Lake Leelanau and has boat access to the lake and docking availability. The campground is very quiet. If you like a lively active campground, this is may not be the place for you. We only saw a few families with children. Approximately 60% of the sites are seasonal campers. The camp store had a variety of food products and camping supplies although it was not overly large and the selection was somewhat limited. There is ice and firewood available. You choose your own firewood (whatever fills one side of a cart they give you). The amount of firewood is very good for the $5 you pay. It is not stored in a covered shelter, so one night we had some damp wood. One very nice feature was that there was a laundry room. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
