We were given #6 which was a pull thru in the back. No trees in this area which required A/C all the time despite 65F days. The sun was cooking us inside so we had to put up with the AC noise. The shower accommodations are among the best I've seen; though only 4 (locked door private sink/toilet/shower) available. Across from us are fulltime 'campers' with homey patios, manicured setting, etc-lol!--and we are on a barren gravel drive. Most are 'waterfront' along several ponds encompassing much of the campground which is very nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Second time we have stayed here. Not many choices in the Detroit metro area to RV Camp. We found the park to be improved from the previous visit. Yes there are long timers and transients construction workers in the park. Most are working on the roads and the pipelines in the area. The transients were friendly and kept their sites very clean. This park is a family owned business with a interesting long history of development through the years. The Wi-Fi worked very well. You are near a big city - so you have to expect airplane noise from 30 miles away; train noise was about a mile away which didn't bother us. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park caters to long term tenants. The majority of sites had make-shift garages, storage sheds, and patio covers. All the things the rules stated that you couldn't have. The pull through site that we had was semi level gravel. The weeds were over taking the site and we shared the water connection with our neighbor. In four days they never came by to fix our faucet. The satellite signal was good, but there was no Wi-Fi. The people were friendly and you can wash your rig, which I always like. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is very clean, but offers little or no shade. Trains run all night along the edge of the property, some road noise from I-75. Most sites are level. Staff was pleasant, but campground rules are not enforced. Dogs off leash, unsupervised kids through campsites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I usually give a park a few days before I make up my mind if I like it or not: I did not enjoy this resort. I will start by saying the fact that there is a train track right behind the resort really bothered me, especially since there is no security fencing separating the camp sites from the tracks. The trains go by quite often during the day and night. I found the sites extremely cramped. Just a few feet between you and your neighbour. In fact, ours yelled at us because our campfire smoke was going in his trailer. The pool was warm and clean I will give them that. The staff was extremely rude and they certainly do not go out of their way to help you out if your in a bind, which we were when our truck broke down and we realized we forgot our jumper cables. We asked the staff if they had some we could borrow and we were told no they don't lend them out that there was some we could buy at the store. Very poor customer service. The resort was packed and I don't understand the draw to it. We will not be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park itself is very nice. The biggest problem with the park is the cost. It is $33 a night but there is an $8 reservation fee. If you are a non-resident of Michigan there is an $8 A NIGHT fee for your RV (or you can buy an annual sticker for $29) and a flat $6 fee for your tow car. I paid $43 before I even got into the park! Plus you pay the $33 a night for full hookup sites. With all the fees we paid $43.75 a night. For that price I could have gone down the street! Why so much for non-residents? Residents pay $10 a year. Since most of the people here were from Michigan shouldn't they be paying the bulk of the price? We will never again stay at a Michigan State Park because of the high fees. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park that is convenient to I-75 as well as the local Southern Michigan area. Really nice for a state park. We did have to pay to enter the park, but that is included in our night's fee. Nice wide sites and right on Lake Erie. Most sites have a good view. Few trees but that gave a great satellite connection. No wi-fi, but picked up good signal from AT&T so used that for internet. Very big rig "friendly". We will be staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As previous reviewers have posted, there is no shade in the campground here, however, this is one of only a few state parks with full hookups available. The closer you camp toward the water, the higher the wind velocity. It is not always an issue and you can view the lake quite well from a row away. Roomy sites with clean, newer restrooms. Great biking/walking trails allow trips into Monroe and through the migratory bird viewing areas. Good fishing and you can walk along the beach for a good distance. The picnic area is nearby with additional playground facilities. Staff was very friendly as were neighboring campers on all three of our visits. We like this park as a quick getaway and price. A full hookup is $33, but for a two night stay, we have found we don't need it. Dump station can take care of three units at a time, which speeds the departure process. We camped here in a Motorhome.
