This is more like a state park than a privately owned campground. The pluses are the sites are heavily wooded and it is situated on Lake Huron. But the level of the lake was low so there were wide stretches of unappealing coastline. The showers are lousy. There is no temperature control; the shower is either "on" or "off". The water shuts off automatically after a few minutes so you must constantly turn it back on. Shower curtains were missing on 3 out of the 4 showers. Many sections of the roads are all dirt with no gravel. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Fee includes $8 day use fee. We really enjoyed this very basic state park. Our site was perfectly fine, but the views of the bridge were gorgeous. It was especially lovely as the sun set. Not a terribly dog-friendly park--no good "official" exercise areas (and no dogs on the beach--too bad we didn't see that sign until after we'd been once). Bridge traffic is audible, but not bad at all. We would return, but wish campers were not assessed the additional day use fee. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground was okay, but just average. Needs some cleanup and site improvements. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Casino parking lot with W/E hook ups and a dump station. Only accept cash or checks at the hotel desk, but it's a good deal. Sites are close and part asphalt/dirt/gravel and have convenient access from the main road. Looks like they may be expanding something beyond it. The campground area of the parking lot was not lit at night so it was really dark but there was a security patrol. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They got me! I was lured in by the $10 camping, and then spent $400 on slots. No reservations, cash only. Simply pick a site and go to the hotel desk to register and be sure to ask for a pool key. Then in the morning, come on in for free coffee or soft drinks, and play a few slots. Arrive early in the day as sites get pretty full. However ample parking in the lot is available for free if sites are taken. We were pleasantly surprised with this deal. Saved ourselves $30 per night by staying here instead of another local campground. Located just 2 miles outside downtown St. Ignace. Although it is not the most aesthetically pleasing campground (gravel sites are close together and have a view of the parking lot), there is some grass area behind the sites for your doggies. The 50 amp electrical boxes, and picnic tables look brand new. Not sure if they have a dump station. Staying here also gives you access to the hotel's indoor pool, spa, fitness room; although it is a long uphill walk to the building. No showers are available. It was quiet, and good security. Also the casino property is lakefront, so although the RV park has no view, you can walk to the lake. They also have a pretty good fish fry on Friday nights. Ladies sign up for a players card, and get $5 in credits on Fridays, and get a free hot dog on Wednesdays. They also have a shuttle that goes to St. Ignace and Mackinaw City. Wi-Fi available in casino or hotel but could not reach it from the campsites. There is no limit on how long you can stay. Its an affordable place to camp, but not really a place to take a family vacation. We would stay again for the location, price, pool, and casino perks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a pretty campsite. Some of the sites have blocked views of the water due to brush on the other side of the road. Some do have water view sites. Pretty level sites and friendly folks. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park across the street from Lake Michigan. All gravel sites that were level, easy hookups and everything worked. Manager was very accommodating and let us pick our own site. Just spent one night so didn't use any of the park facilities. Would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Been staying here 3 years now, 6-7 times each year. Just became a Good Sam park. Some weekends during summer are usually pre-booked so plan accordingly. Early & late season stays have lower pricing and fewer amenities. Discount if you don't use a CC. We will be back!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park in a nice area. We extended out stay. Pool is great and office help is nice and helpful. Roads are dirt and tend to be dusty. But not a big deal. This is a VERY LARGE campground! Would definitely stay here again. FREE SHUTTLE to the island boats is a plus! We camped here in a Motorhome.

KOA offers an expected quality and this KOA did not have quality. The staff was very friendly. Granted, this is the beginning of the season but the grass was not cut, much of the facility needed a coat of paint, the sites were not level, and the entire campground had worn-down gravel. It is convenient to the shuttle service to Mackinac Island. The plus is the dog kennel nearby for trips to the island. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Really not worth what they charge. I had water and electric, no sewer. Pool nice but small. Sites gravel and grass. Uneven sites. The one they assigned was to narrow and trees to close for slide outs. I used the site next to it but still had to run the right wheels up on boards. Slope was so bad front to back I had to drop the trailer off of the truck as the angle front to back was to much. It was a pull through site but not a convenient one as truck needed to be disconnected to level trailer. I would not stay here again. Other RV places in area more reasonable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice roomy gravel sites accessed by asphalt roads.  Sites on Lake Huron were separated from the rocky wet beach by a thin area of bushes.  Our site was the closest to the lake with electricity, and was one of the few sites with brush separating it from neighbors.  We enjoyed the views of the Mackinac Bridge from the lake, and from the overlook.  We used the laundromat in town.  We spent a day exploring the Lake Huron lake shore.  Our second day was spent on Mackinac Island, hiking the paths, exploring Fort Mackinaw, taking the  horse-drawn carriage tour, and enjoying the ferry rides.  It was nice to have bins to recycle plastic, metal, glass, and paper - the first state park campground to take all these.  We hope to come back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A gorgeous campsite. Who can argue with a view of Lake Huron from your bedroom? We stayed in the lower loop that is closest to the bridge. Yes, there is traffic noise, but fairly constant, so you get used to it. We had a 50 amp site, back-in, grassy, fairly level. Good antenna TV and AT&T cell signal. The showers here were the best I've ever seen in a state park, individual rooms, fully tiled, well-designed, clean, and plenty of hot water. We have a great shower in the trailer, so I rarely venture out, but these showers were worth it. Only drawback for us were the zillion campfires. Most campsites are back-to-back and there is no escape from your neighbor's fire. If you are sensitive to wood smoke, you will have a problem, at least in the busy months. Otherwise, this is a wonderful place, with a grocery store within walking distance and the charming town of St. Ignace to explore. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in the upper campground, sites 254 & 256, due to the size of our travel trailers. The noise from I-75 was not too much for sleeping or enjoying the trails and views of the Mighty Mac. Saturday St. Ignace had a free concert and we ate at one of the many restaurants in town. A grocery was just outside the park as were all other types of shops. Stayed here due to Silver Mtn. Disc Golf course closeness, and enjoyed walking the area for two days. Park was very clean, grassy, shaded, with the classic UP feel. Power level was good and got several clear TV stations. Good cell reception. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park situated on Huron Bay. Passport America rate ($17.00 -cash only) for FHU. Run by very sweet, elderly couple. Park is easy to get to, town is very quaint. We enjoyed out stay (just an over-nighter) and a beautiful sunset. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

We stayed here for 9 days with Passport America membership rates. Our back-in, 30amp site was level with some grass and mature trees. The restrooms were clean as were the showers, but the showers are way too small for an average size adult. The staff was friendly and very helpful telling us about the area. The park has more of a feel of a state park rather then a parking lot. Lots of trees and walking paths through out. Good location and close to the surrounding attractions. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our rate reflects Passport America. We had full hook up 30 amp back-in. They charge more for 50 amp and more for pull through. The staff were nice and friendly and even gave us a package from the local chamber of commerce with coupons. We had a fire ring and collected lots of wood from the surrounding forest for our fires. The park was mostly quiet at night with the occasional car noise on the neighboring street. The airport behind the park only seemed to have small planes flying which were not a bother. We camped here in a Motorhome.
