This place is like a dream. Beautiful park! Small but attractive campground, great little zoo with well cared for animals, a pretty river and lots of hiking. The newer restroom building is also the storm shelter, and very well-built indeed. For a county park this is good as it gets. Lots of antenna TV, fair Verizon reception. 8 miles to Rochester and the Mayo Clinic. We would definitely return if we had the chance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Exceptionally nice campground void of traffic and train noise. It's a beautiful setting with gorgeous Minnesota woods along the Zumbro River. There's oodles of lovely trails within the park as well as a nature center and a zoo. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Our five days there were very pleasant. We were there during the flood and the campground hosts made sure we were safe. It was recommended that we move to higher ground on our last night there. It is a memorable night with continual lightning and thunder. We would most definitely return to Oxbow Park! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park was very clean and the campground hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. When you camp here you feel like you are in the middle of the woods... because you are! Although there is not much to do besides hike and fish, there is a town of 90,000 only 8 miles away. We camped here in a Motorhome.
