Only a short distance from Whitewater State Park, this campground is best understood as a more rustic, tent-oriented sister facility. There is no electricity or dump station with the only water source being a hand pump. Sites are widely spaced but shallow. Some are not level. This campground is closed from the day after Labor Day to the Thursday before Memorial Day. A quiet, unremarkable facility whose chief draw is its proximity to the Whitewater River, Whitewater State Park, and other recreational lands. Sites are accessible to RVs but require a degree of skill due to the maneuvering, backing, and hills. Tow vehicles may need to detach from trailers in some cases due to the shallow sites. Bring leveling blocks and chocks. There is no attendant on site although a ranger from Whitewater State Park patrols the grounds from time to time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
