Temperance River State park speaks for itself. It is currently the only state park on the north shore with electric sites. Almost without exception, every site is nice, most with shade and some have great views of Lake Superior. We camped in site 22 which is in the electric loop and although one the lake side it does not have a lake view due to trees. The restroom is kept clean and has 2 showers on each side. Be prepared for possible invasions of black flies - a screen tent would be worthwhile to ensure being able to sit outside. We were there for 8 nights and 2 of those days were intolerable for sitting around the fire due to flies. This is part of the north shore experience, though. Weather was warm and we were able to swim in the mouth of the river where it feeds into Lake Superior. Be safe in the river! Worth a destination camping vacation! Reserve in advance as this park can be hard to get into, although we were surprised to see available sites the entire time we were there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
