A real melting pot of a campground. Everything from tent campers to 40' fivers. From shirtless, tattooed guys to well dressed couples walking their dogs. If you do not mesh well with all types, this may not be your place. Lots and lots of beer drinking. If you want to let it all hang out and have a great time tubing this is your place. If you want a nice serene, quiet weekend with the kids as we do, try Percy Quinn State Park right down the road. Some turns in the C.G. are a little tight. We caught a rainy weekend. The gravel roads held up nice and standing water did not seem to be a problem. We did have a good time but we seem to get along with all types. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We found the site from an internet ad and decided to give it a try. The park is very shaded and we found the staff to be very helpful. We had reserved a full hook up site, we thought, but were disappointed to learn that there was a temp sub in place that took my reservation. There were no full hookups available. The manager did refund the difference in cost and placed us in a double site. There are numerous canoeing/tubing outfits in the area, one just outside of the park. We will most definetly return. The only downfall to the weekend was that we lost electricity for a couple of hours the first night and there were some "slightly tanked" tenters who did not know the meaning of quiet. Which we probably wouldn't have noticed had the a/c drowned out the noise. The second night was great, either we could not hear them over the a/c or they were still hurting too much to party. Playgrounds are plentiful. Bathhouses on have one stall but were numerous We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was great fun for the kids. It was a little woodsy for me. There were only 7 full hookup sites. The site gave us more than enough room. There was a concrete patio area off of the camper pad in addition to the picnic area. We had a really nice grill on the site. In the park there are two nature trails, playgrounds, four bath houses,and a large basketball court. Because it is located on the Bogue Chitto River, many tourists come to float the river and canoe. In the entrance of the park, there are tube and canoe rentals. Fishing is popular as well. The only negative things I can review is that it is impossible to get a satellite signal with all the trees. Also, they really need to clear the poison ivy away from the sites. It is close to the pads. Beware of this when you bring pets and children. We will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice! We camp alot in tri-state area, this is one of our favorite's. Kids enjoyed themselves. Family oriented. Only downside is that it's difficult getting a site around holidays. Have to book well in advance for standard or deluxe site. Not for primitive, which is well maintained with very nice sites also. Says there are "walk-up" sites available but for pop-up or RV'ers I wouldnt recommend chancing it. Only 5 minutes off the interstate which is nice. The park was well maintained and the bathhouses were very clean. So clean that I opted for the bath house over my own shower. Trash pick up everyday and you are provided a trash can with bag everyday. Had a great time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Percy Quin is our favorite park and we have stayed over a dozen times during the last two years. Nice wooded areas with lots to do while on site. McComb is about 8 mins away from the campground with everything you could need. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
