Very quiet, sites reasonably spaced. Lots of bathroom facilities and water spigots throughout the campground, especially for the size. Gravel sites except the handicap sites are concrete. 10 minute drive to Warrensburg. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Long time family favorite, the showers are clean, the area is beautiful. Would recommend this campground to anyone. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice clean park. Nice hosts. Easy access from US50. Quiet except for the occasional "Sounds of Freedom" from the next door neighbor: Whiteman AFB home of the B-2 bomber. For those with access to Whiteman AFB this is as close to a FamCamp as there is, as Whiteman AFB does not have one on base. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice little stop-over close to Hwy 50. The sites are hard-packed gravel and overall pretty flat. Selection of reservable and electric sites. Good shade trees and nice separation between campers. The surrounding park has a couple of lakes with fishing and a selection of hiking trails so it's a lovely natural setting and great for a few days stop, but there's not much else around. The nearest very small town is Knob Noster, otherwise you're in farmland. Central dump and potable water, free hot showers, plus there's a laundry on-site (only $0.75/load). We'd stop again if we were coming through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice state park that is clean and quiet. We didn't need reservations to camp here, but it seems the reservation system is a little strange. If you don't plan to spend more than 2 days here then a reservation probably is not needed. There is no water or sewer at the sites so you need to fill your fresh water tank as you pull in. There is 30 amp electric at most sites and for the most part they are easy to back into. We would stay here again for an overnight or two, but there is really nothing much to do in the area unless you are visiting family like we were, or had some business at the base. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
