Not the most level sites but all things considered this is a nice campground. Good playground for kids. Nice space between sites. Nice common areas. Nice walk down to lake. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful campground! We were surprised to find new camp hosts this year, but they all seemed very friendly. There was a burn ban due to dry conditions during our visit, so open fires and grills were prohibited. Lots of deer roaming early morning and evening. Security gate, paved roads and pull thru sites are also paved, remaining sites are gravel. Park is within walking distance to Lake Jacomo and there is a 14-day maximum stay in the Jackson County Parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice and secure park. The site we were in was close to level, we used 2 (1") blocks in the rear to make it right. There is no Wi-Fi and the bathrooms were hot, tiny and not clean. The staff was very friendly and there are code activated gates to keep the curious out. We were here 3 nights. We would probably return here for a short stay and would not use the bathrooms We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This is a Jackson County park so maximum stay is 14 days. Seniors save $2 per day on the rate. Park is gated and we saw it patrolled by park rangers and Lee's Summit police. Streets are paved and sites are the larger gravel which we do not care for much. I'm not sure if the camp hosts or their computers are slow on check in, and customer service could use improvement. There are lots of tent and smaller sites but not an abundance for bigger ones and even fewer that are satellite friendly. The back-up tire spikes seemed a bit extreme for a park basically within a suburban area. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Was a bit apprehensive because we had to call an 800-number to make reservations and there were no photos on the website to check beforehand. We had friends who live in the area and they checked it out for us. The park turned out to be very nice and there was a host on the premises. The gate had a code to enter for those who camp here as well as for those you indicate as visitors. Felt safer as a result. It's clean, weedless, with gravel sites, grass, and no mature trees for shade. Had plenty of space for our 35ft rig with 3 slideouts. They had one washer and one dryer which worked fine. Lots of families in the park which resulted in a lot of noise, but by 10pm it got quiet. Would recommend this park and would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is fine park with about 20% shady spots. It is quiet and not cramped. Easy to get to if you follow the instructions exactly as given. If you get creative and come from the south, you have one opportunity to go west on SW 3rd Rd and then south on View High Rd. Follow the little sign that leads you to the "mansion." It is an obscure single lane road dedicated to the mansion (and the campground) but it doesn't say so. If in doubt, DO NOT USE my suggested short cut. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground is not near the lake, it's quite a drive to the lake. The lake on the map looks much larger than it is, and the fee to "use" the lake is $24 per person per day, or $48 for the season. This is not included in the price of the campground. The hosts were nice, and the area is clean but shade is minimal and we were there in 100+ heat in July. We saw NO children or pets outside most likely due to the heat, although there were a lot of deer in the evenings. I would rate this as a 5 but the "surprise fee" to use the lake was not clearly stated anywhere on signs or in brochures. The Ranger however was there to send you to the marina store to purchase the permit/pass, and the pass only applies to this lake. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park, sites are not really level for big rigs. Kid friendly and all that. It is rather hard to find. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
