The site we had was very narrow (#2) and our picnic table was over top of the next site sewer connections. We had about 3 or 4 feet of space outside our door because the neighbor's slide out in these narrow sites took up most of the room. There is also a lot of train noise. We would not stay here again. We found others comments about the pool and lots of kids to be true and somewhat annoying. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Crowded, close sites. Not easy to get in or out of sites. Many full time people here. Pool must be open to kids from town judging from the number of them. Owner rarely on site and at the time of my visit it was managed by very young adults. Had there been an issue I'm not confident they could have handled it. Laundry was clean, Bozeman center easy drive. I drove past the only other campground in the area and it appeared far worse than Bear Canyon, so if I have to be in Bozeman again, I will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Okay, the views are pretty nice. However, the sites are tight for big rigs. The rate for the site was $33, but we were charged $1 additional because we had a dog. First time that has happened. Wi-Fi was fine. Had a 4G connection on the Verizon phone and the ATT phone had a good signal as well. This park has more "Don'ts" than "Do's" on it's information sheet. Lots of kids in the pool, but that was fine with us. The "pet area" is a field with tall grass behind the last row of sites. Don't think we would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Awesome owners/managers, clean park with decent size spaces and easy to get in and out of with large fifth wheel. Nice views, good laundry facilities. Only bad part is the pool. There are no less than 10 small children in it all day long as they use this for additional revenue. After 6pm the pool is for campers only, however there are a lot of children in the campgrounds, apparently. Unfortunate as the rest of the park is awesome, and the management is top notch. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Average campground. Staff is very accommodating and maintains the park very well. Sites are tight for larger rigs, but do offer full-hook up and picnic table. The pool area is nice; however, be prepared to deal with A LOT of children from Bozeman. The park is landscaped well and the office sells basic provisions. Satellite reception was good, Wi-Fi was reliable for the most part; Sprint, Verizon & AT&T worked also. My biggest complaint: there is a large population of black billed Magpies hanging out in the campground, and they are nearly as annoying as the train going by all of the time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I thought this was an OK park. Not fantastic, but adequate. I may try the another park in the area next time to compare. Site was hard to level the coach on. Required some moving around. All gravel roadways so some dust with passing vehicles or wind. Most sites look fairly narrow. Water pressure fine most of the time, but did drop substantially now and then. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park with lots of big trees. A little tight getting into our site due to the closeness of the trees. Lots of pretty summer flowers. The only negative was the amount of children in the small pool. The owners open the pool in the summer for local children to pay to swim. No room for the campers from noon to 6pm. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice clean campground. My kids liked the pool and the playground, and we had a pretty view. It was neat and clean and nicely landscaped and maintained. There were many people living there but it was not an issue. I would happily stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The incredible view of the Rocky Mountains from this campground is more than worth the stay here. It is very convenient as it is adjacent to Interstate 90. The pool is excellent and there is a nice playground for the children. You have highway and train noise, but closing the windows and door pretty much eliminates it. Stayed here two nights and slept soundly. The staff is excellent and friendly, but they are mostly students and I saw no sign of management while I was here. They are very adamant about check-in, check out times and you will probably need reservations as this is a very popular park. Arrived for a Thursday - Friday stay, and was unable to get the weekend. The location is convenient. It is in a rural area but Bozeman is only a few miles away. There is a Wal-Mart right off the highway as well as other services and shopping. The only real issue I had about the park are that the sites are fairly close. While you can move coaches in and out fairly easily, neighbors' sewage dumps tend to be uncomfortably close, the reason for the 9 instead of 10 rating. The RV park is about 60 miles from the entrance to Yellowstone via the Gardiner, MT entrance, but Old Faithful is about 50 miles further. The speed limit is 35-45 throughout the park. On your way here, you will pass through a wonderful National Forest too. Plan on making a full-day trip. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is very nice. Bozeman is a beautiful city that was fun to explore and staying at Bear canyon allowed us to be close to Bozeman and we were able to get to and tour Yellowstone in one day! The spot was wide and easy to get into and very quiet at night except for the train, which wasn't an issue. We would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground overall is well maintained. The north facing back in sites have a great view. These sites and other perimeter sites have gravel on both sides with grass behind. The pull through sites are in the middle and very standard, strip of grass between the gravel drives, with your door facing the hook ups of your neighbor, including sewer. The pool was nice with a little slide, and laundry and bathrooms clean. Cons: our pull through site was not level, pool open to public until 6 pm which makes it very busy, and hear traffic noise of interstate and trains all day and night (including train horns). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay a week. We have a small 16 foot travel trailer and because of our small size, were directed to a back in site at the rear of the park. Our site was gravel but had a lawn to the rear and a view of rolling hills beyond. We hooked up to water and electricity. The heated pool was tempting but we were too tired to use it before the 9pm curfew. The staff was friendly and directed us to the Museum of the Rockies using back roads and a shortcut. The bathrooms were immaculate as were the 4 unit each (washer/dryer) laundry room. Although others have complained of highway and train noise we did not notice any. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park with shade trees in many locations, especially, the pull-through sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reason for a 9 and not a 10 is the pull-through sites are quite narrow. Plus the nearby trees need trimming making it difficult for some rigs upon exiting. The motor home next to us had great difficulty maneuvering around the trees as he left. Train horns at night bothered me, but not my wife who wore earplugs each night. Despite this, would camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

All inside CG roads were gravel. Sites were almost level. Entering each site was tight although not impossible. Most of the staff was friendly, one staffer wasn't. WiFi ran around 1.4-3.0 down & 0.5 uploading. Drive into CG was pretty steep. Several have complained about train noise. I'd say if you don't like train whistles, don't stay in Bozeman, period. The KOA may be far enough away from the tracks to be ignored. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park. Narrow sites and not the most level we've used. Nice view of the valley and local farm lands. Very convenient to the freeway. Didn't hear any trains or traffic during our 1 night stay. Nice young man who checked us in, had the be most polite and efficient we've ever encountered. He had us checked in and headed to our site in less than a minute. We would stay here again for a short visit in the area or passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I wish I could give a 9.5. First, the not so good. Sites could be more level. Yes, they allow the public into the pool during the day. Doesn't bother us a bit because we don't use it. if you like a quiet float without a pool full of kids...you will be disappointed. And YES the trains are constant and they seem to LOVE their horns. Wi-Fi is sometimes iffy but usually reliable. All of that is totally overshadowed for us by the kind and helpful way we were treated by the management. We came to Bozeman for ONE reason...we had a very ill parrot and the only certified avian vet in the state is here. We checked in for three days thinking that would be enough. We've extended two days at a time since we just never knew how long all of this was going to take and have been here now over a week. We ran into a problem and were told by the clerk that they were going to fill up, that our site was rented so we'd have to move if they could find us another spot. The owner stepped in and offered to "do some magic". She rearranged things for us and not only could we stay, but in the same site. She also "penciled" us in for another week without us making any commitment to stay so that our stress level could be reduced. I can't recommend the management of this park highly enough. Lovely views of the surrounding mountains. Laundry is clean and nice. and they have Wilcoxson's Huckleberry ice cream sandwiches for sale in the store. That is only the BEST ice cream I've ever had. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a decent place, close to Bozeman, clean laundry and friendly staff. My biggest complaint is the pool is apparently open to the outside public for a daily or yearly pass fee. The pool is literally wall to wall kids every day. If you came here to use the pool (at all) don't count on it. I can see a business trying to maximize their profits but I think in this case they are doing it, at the expense of their primary customers which isn't really fair. Also to be aware, there is a dollar a day dog fee. Not really sure why they would charge for a dog. There is a train that goes by frequently but we keep our windows shut so its not bad: but they do blow their horns! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Conveniently close to the Interstate. Friendly management, and attractive setting. The sites are a bit narrow; the picnic table is too close to the neighbor's sewer. Wi-Fi worked well, but you had to keep logging in. Not sure why they require a login since there are no other houses nearby. They have Ben & Jerry ice cream for sale at the office. Nice views. This site generally slopes to the west and the sites are not all that level. It has a nice pool and the showers and restrooms are clean. The local Internet is slow slow and kicks you off. However there's good Verizion cell and Wi-Fi cards work great. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can hear the trains coming through when they blow their horns and you can hear the interstate noise but neither is too bad. All in all a very reasonable place to hang out near Bozeman and it's only 5 minutes from the downtown. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our very first impression was that it was 'kept up' looking at the grounds. But understand they had a lot of rain and the summer was/IS just beginning! After a day there and sun, the lawn-mowers were out and busy changing out all picnic tables by each site. It looked great upon our return for the day out-n-about. We had a corner lot which was perfect. Dark at night, but we heard trains come through a few times at night with horns blowing, if that's a problem for you I would say don't stay at this CG. It appeared very family friendly and tents allowed up near registration/pool area. I had read they charge an extra dollar per dog, not a problem for us as the rate was cheap enough at $33 per night. The views are gorgeous being surrounded by mountains, got some beautiful sunsets, handy to town and not too far away. Wi-Fi worked good, and no cable TV but the antenna seemed to pull in good enough selection and major networks. Some asphalt and mainly gravel, level enough site. Clean laundry area if you need, only about 4 machines. Would stay here again. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on the way to Y'stone. Was nice, clean with friendly staff. Sites too close together for us. Could hear couple in next RV, arguing. We found this to be a very nice park about 4 miles east of Bozeman. Nice space with a nice view. We had to unhook the toad for utilities to reach, but otherwise a nice gravel space. Noticed Sunrise CG on the way to town. The spaces look much closer together and the camp was full. KOA is south of town by several miles, but near antiques stores etc. Bear Canyon needs to keep their grass mowed, but otherwise seems to maintain things well. We would camp here again. Sites are hard to get level in. Picnic tables small and old. $1 extra per nite per pet is a bit much with no pet area other than an overgrown unfenced field. Sewer hookups are at the back of sight so you must unhook toad or have numerous lengths of hose. Will not stay again because of pet fee. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Baths could be improved with stoppers in sinks and more hangers for clothes in shower areas, no heat while showering in women's although was OK in men. This is a better than average campground with nice trees, lots are reasonable in size, good water, good WiFi and a good place to walk dogs. Grounds were well kept and park host was friendly. Location is within 5 minutes of town and up on a hill with a nice view. Very easy access from the interstate. Train comes close but is down the hill and across the interstate. I will stay here again. Really didn't like this campground! The good: it has trees, surrounding views, close to Bozeman. The bad: has narrow, unlevel sites with trees blocking slides, pool is constantly overflowing with local kids, lots of rules (including $1 a day per dog, $2 extra vehicle, $5 more for a pull through when the campground is 80% pull through sites, etc). I did get satellite coverage with Direct at 70%, very marginal ATT cell and fair Verizon air card. If I come back to this area, will stay south of Bozeman at the KOA right next to Bozeman Hot Springs. The Hot Springs are well worth a visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This seems the better of the two parks in the area. Although there is some train noise as stated in previous reviews, it is minimal and not at unreasonable hours. The pull through site we had was not level and made it a challenge to level out and the picnic table was useless as it was very rickety. It was easy in and out of the park and very convenient to all we wished to do in Bozeman and Yellowstone. The trees were very nice and it has a good petwalk area. We would stay here again, however, we might be more specific about picking a more level site. Pool was as stated, full of kids. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were able to get a FHU site that was roof satellite friendly for our one night stay. I don't think many of their sites are satellite friendly. We did not use the pool because it was full of kids from the time we arrived about 3PM until it closed. It appears that they allow local families use the the pool. Our site was OK and we were able to get WiFi at our site after they were done working on the antenna atop the office. There appear to be quite a few long-term or extended stay customers, not permanent sites, but folks staying for weeks or the season. I would advise calling ahead even on weekdays during the summer since the filled up on the weekday we were here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the second year we have stayed at this park. Everything is ok except the WiFi is terrible. We could connect but the signal was so weak our computer would not utilize it. Sites are gravel and not all that flat. It is a good base camp for the Bozeman area, but, if you need use of your computer, you are going to have to visit the public library. As one reviewer said, it is the best RV park in Bozeman, but that's not saying much. If you are a full timer, this is an overnight site at best. We were stuck here 3 days because of some regular maintainance on our truck. Sites are not level, owner has no pride in ownership, sites are weeds, has overgrown trees, dogs that bark all night, lots of trains, highway noise, and the picnic table literally fell apart as we tried to move it. Pretty spot on top of hill with view of farmland and I-90 (which you can hear). Occasional train whistle. Clean laundry. Narrow pull through sites and as the trees grow they will be more difficult. Our neighbor had to back out of site 5 due to the trees. Great for an overnight, and excellent to stay a couple days to visit the off leash dog park at Bozeman Ponds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We checked out all 3 Bozeman RV parks. We thought this one is the nicest. There is highway noise and some train noise. We weren't bothered by either. Sites and roads are gravel with limited grass and shade trees. Views are good. The pads are all out of level. We used leveling blocks. The 50A hookups were solid. Wi-fi was strong, reliable, and very slow. Showers were spotless and very hot. Downtown Bozeman (and a fenced dog park) are 4 miles west at the next interstate off ramp. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all, our rate reflects extra people. Normal charge is $33.00. This is the nicest of the three campground options around Bozeman in my opinion. (I stayed at one of the others and viewed the third). The office staff was friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi worked great. Restrooms and showers were extra clean. Had tiled showers and good hot water. The heated pool looked clean, lovely and inviting though we did not use it. Other reviews show some difficulty with leveling. We had only a minor leveling problem which was easily remedied. The view is marvelous. Had some highway noise depending on which way the wind was blowing and periodic train noise too. None of it mattered as I was happy to find a friendly and clean place to stay for a few days. Also has easy access to Highway 90 and good laundry facility with front loading washing machines. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would give this park a 10 if there wasn't the pool situation. They had a nice pool, but they allow 'the locals' to use it, so the pool was full of kids everyday, all day long. We stopped here for an overnight, so we appreciated the easy highway access. The entrance to the place gave us a bit of a stir - at 13'3" is looks even lower. On this very hot day, the pool was the most popular spot in the place. Every kid was there! Our pull through site was long and level, but we could just about reach out and touch our neighbors. No cable, but satellite reception was fine. The wi-fi was funky: frequent log-ins required, some sites blocked and slow response times. But, we've experienced worse. Views were great. As a full-timer, I get to visit a lot of different campgrounds. As compared to the others that I have visited, this park deserves the “Poorest Wi-Fi Service” award by far. Their local server asks you to log in approximately every half hour and response times from their service provider are atrocious at most times of the day and night. If you require Wi-Fi service, plan on visiting the local library or staying at another park in the area. A previous reviewer commented difficulty in leveling their coach. The back-in sites (no hookup) do slope, but I had no problem attaining level. Besides, these sites offer the best views of the valley below. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Since we were here only overnight we selected a back-in with water and electric only. We parked in a site at the back of park where we had an excellent view of the valleys and mountains in the distance. Problem: we could not level our 35' motorhome. It was low on driver's side and in the back. The pull-through sites looked better but we probably couldn't get satellite reception. The pool was open and being used: looked very nice. This park was easy to find, just off the interstate. We had no highway noise at our site. We will stay here again: in pull-through site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was great. A previous reviewer stated the pool was unusable. I didn't find this to be the case. Crowded sometimes, but never unusable. The bathrooms were clean every time we used them. We had an end site, so had a bigger yard. The views were fabulous. It would need to be paved, with a bit bigger sites to get a 10. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The pool was unusable due to the dozens of children from town occupying the pool during our week stay. The park charges the locals to use the pool. The restrooms were not clean due to the overuse by pool patrons. The showers were very small and shower heads were too low. There are no handicapped shower facilities. The day we arrived they were setting sprinklers by hand and watering the sides of the coaches. There is noise from the highway and nearby train tracks. The water pressure varies greatly. They allow vehicles to park on the interior roads making access tight. he staff is very young and unable to provide much information on the area. The views are spectacular. The price is based on the weekly rate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Pleasantly surprised to say the least! Their website doesn't do this place justice! They are located up on top of a hill overlooking a luscious scenic green valley with lots of photo shots! The pool has a cool slide and was very clean and well kept! The bathrooms were fabulous so was the store and staff. Wish we would have booked this place for more than one night! Very cute campground up on the hill right next to the freeway. We got the last FHU available for the night but the long term that parked next to us took up the 30amp, so we had to get by with 20. Clean restrooms and showers. My only complain is that their laundry room closes too early, 8:00 I think. The guy constantly working around the grounds, so he is in and out of the office. Weird office hours and layout is a little tricky if you are pulling a toad. Friendly people working in the park. Got a great recommendation on place to get shroud for A/C replaced (Big Sky RV). This campground is a disappointment. We feel that it is very poor value for money. Had we known the limitations, we would not have stayed here. For the money we paid, we only got 30 amps, poor and variable Internet service and cable, and few cable channels. We needed a 50' cable to hook up to the cable, and it wasn't on our post. Our gravel site wasn't level. The pool area was nice and innovative and would be terrific on a cool day as the main pool is heated by a spring. However, when the temperature is knocking on 100F one really needs a good cold pool. One of the garbage dumpsters was overflowing. Having said all of this there aren't many decent RV parks in this area, and one has to make the best of what is available. At least it is miles away (7+) from the Interstate so one doesn't have that noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a clean and fairly well organized and large KOA campground. It is some ways out of town, but the advantage is very little road noise, compared with others that are nestled between RR tracks and I-90. The restroom and showers are fine. The Wi-Fi is typical of most KOA's, very difficult to connect to, and this one was particularly slow. My biggest gripe with this KOA is the price. We paid $50 for 3 people including a KOA 10% discount. Bozeman is not worthy of such a high price. Because of that, we will not likely stay there again unless there is no other choice. Friendly staff and lots of amenities: swimming pool, splash pool for the kids, basketball, cable TV, miniature golf, and convenience store. Large campground with level, shaded campsites. We stayed in an area of the campground where the sites were separated by a hedge of tall bushes, which we appreciated. They provided privacy as well as shade. The campground is nearer to Four Corners MT, but is only 15 minutes away from the downtown area of Bozeman. We had a wonderful camping experience at this KOA. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed at a lot of KOA's and this is one of the nicer ones. Sites are close together: with the trailer in, our slide went over into the neighbors "yard" a little. We had a back-in that backed up to a small stream that ran through the property. Our site had a concrete porch with picnic table and a nice wooden chair swing at our site. This is a nice campground, especially for families. hey have easy access and plenty of room for our 35 foot RV. The Wi-fi worked just fine, there are not a lot of cable channels. They have a really nice pool, hot tub and water play area for kids. Their dog run area was pretty small -- maybe 15'x15', but they were pretty dog friendly and ours had fun walking all over the campground, seeing the sights. We read the reviews and it sounded good, but I guess our vision of camping is different than others. This is a typical KOA, with lots of spaces packed as tight as they can get them. Although the sites for the bigger rigs seemed more spacious and even had some shrubs between sites, we were put in the area with tenters and some long term sites. Our view of the mountains were marred by the trailer homes between us and the view, and the road leading into the campground ran just behind us. The reviews led us to believe there were "creeks" to enjoy, but they amounted to a couple of man made ditches with running water, which are there for effect, and a creek that is on one of the outer boundaries, not incorporated into the park itself. There is a nice pool, hot tub that was actually hot and had bubbles (often not the case). There are large trees and good shade. Fire pits and tables at sites. his is a nice stopover, with good WiFi (they improved their system this year), limited (14 channels) cable, good ATT cell service, and necessary facilities like laundry and pool. But if you're looking for an outdoor experience, it's not so good; caters more to families with kids who like to swim in the pool than a place to enjoy the outdoors and the nice views. We probably won't be back unless it's an overnight. Not a destination, just a stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We had to stay in a park with power due to a continuing 12v problem, no charging while driving. Other parks in the area were full. Some kind of local festival. It was after hours and the recording gave an emergency number. Ok, it was a minor emergency. The person who answered took time away from other jobs to see if she had a space for a 42’ motorhome. It was dark when we arrived, the space while long enough was very narrow. Without the expert help of an employee, we got parked. Although I hate to pay this kind of price for an overnight stop, power to the computers and TV is important. The employees were all friendly and helpful. We arrived late and left early without using any facilities except the site and electric. I still have a complaint about any park that charges for the third person, does the impact of an 88 year woman add up to $5 extra a night? KOA= Keep On Adding. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As per the request of our autistic son we returned to this KOA. In 2008 our 7 year son befriended a KOA worker who helped him by directing him to a fishing hole to catch his first fish. We arrived with a slim hope of seeing this gentleman again. Day one and nothing. On day 2, amid excitement he found his friend cutting grass just like last year. After a long talk, some tips we headed out with some new fishing gear and in a new direction. The next 3 day my son caught his limit. He wanted to thank his friend so we delivered some fresh fish filet. They talked, huged and shed tears as they parted. Thank you KOA and Mr Work Kamper. This made a very young boy very happy. PS and the park looks beautiful as it did last year. Already have rumbles of 2010. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I called from the road. The quoted rates were outrageous and I complained so they reduced the rate for one night. When we arrived the pool was shut down, the kids water area was broken and there is no kids play area. The staff were rude. They put us in a tiny pull though about the same size as our rig even though the park was almost empty. We needed to stay another day on business and when I asked to extend the stay the manager went into a huff and said the "special rate" (which was still $10 over a regular KOA) was only good for one night and it would be $54 or we could move on. She was overbearing, rude and a discredit to KOA. We moved to another campground, Bear Valley which was great and only $33. During this one month outing we began to realize that KOA is out of touch in many campgrounds and it is wise to check alternatives. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After the last four KOA stays in the past few days I was pretty discouraged. Most of those parks had the usual dirt interior roads with overused and under subscribed enhancements and facilities. They are old. The Bozeman KOA was a nice change. It appears there is concern for the environment which is evidenced in flower beds and lush green grass and trees. The tandem parking for big rigs was unusual but it worked. There was a rig in the front park of our 150 foot site and we pulled in behind them. The 50 amp hook-ups were at the rear of each rig and convenient. When we left, we had to back out but with our walkie-talkies we managed because the paved roadway behind us was wide. The pool was highly used by the kids and there was an unique water feature that I had never seen before. There was a delightful two-foot wide stream that flowed through the center of the park and one of the planned children's activities was to drop their ducks into the stream at the top of the park and have a ducky race to the bottom. They seemed to have a great time watching their ducks move slowly down the stream. This park is about 10 miles off I-90, but on the road to the West Entrance to Yellowstone about an hour's drive away. With the price of fuel, leaving your rig here and driving down in the towed car makes sense. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Half of the park is full-timers, it seems. Staff is friendly, when they're there. We stayed in October, and the office was closed about 1/2 the day everyday. It's hard to check in/out under those circumstances. We wanted to buy LP but couldn't because no one was around to sell it to us. Location is pretty; hedges between many of the sites. But Rows J,K,L have water turned off in the winter, which saved us a few dollars, but if you go there and want water hookups, you need to know this before you choose your site. Tiny (10'x10') dog 'off-leash' area isn't an exercise area, but park is big enough to walk your dog on leash and get a bit of exercise. Restrooms & showers are clean, though I prefer individual showers with deadbolts. A nice place all in all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

NIce enough park for a KOA (which often seem to be just a bit crowded, a bit more worn, etc.) Sites somewhat close together,and not very level, but with some grass and trees. Cute wooden swings at many sites. There is both a stream at one end of the park and a small irrigation canal that runs through part of the park. Very nice having the water but watch out for the small flock of domestic ducks that call this park home, because they defecate everywhere around the campsites. Staff seemed bored or inconvenienced to open the office and check in several rigs that were waiting at 2:00 pm. This was a well kept park with nice amenities such as a swimming pool, kids spray park, and hot tub. The park was fairly easy to get in and out of. The sites were typical KOA. They left the sprinklers running all day, sometimes without moving them so the sites became puddled and muddy. They allowed a tent camper to have a pit bull that the owner could hardly control. After several complaints about the dog to ownership, we noticed the dog and dog owners were gone the next day. Water supply shut off 2 days in a row without notification from office. Office staff seemed nice and recommended a great restaurant in Gallatin Gateway. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our most expensive, and least enjoyable stay. The campground is actually west of the city and then a number of miles south of I-90 but not that quiet. While we made a reservation six weeks in advance, we were assigned a space near the office and pool, in the middle of the action, so to speak. There may be people with families who would prefer that location, but we were never asked. We had a long travel day and arrived too late to take advantage of the hot springs; for people with the time, that might increase enjoyment. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, friendly people. They accommodated us when we showed up a day early by mistake. The wifi didn't reach to all sites, including ours, even though my husband asked for one that would be in range. They were happy to move us closer to the office, but we chose to stay in our large end site instead. Clean, family oriented, nice pool and splash area for the kiddies. So called dog run was maybe 10x10. The stream is an irrigation canal. Broken machines in the laundry continued to take money days after reported to management. Poor cable-probably the providers fault-$2.00/day. Management is bi-polar. Could be pleasant or grouchy, without relation to the immediate situation. It is a good location. Nice typical KOA. This one is right next door to Bozeman Hotsprings. The Hotsprings are available for about $5.50 /person and is a separate business. They were close from Friday Night to Saturday Night. I had a site right next to a running stream, kind of nice. Fire ring was not available in the spot I had, but were available at other locations. Facilities were clean, hot water smelled like sulphur but got better if you ran the water a little. They probably use the nearby hotspring for water. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet and peaceful to a point. We stayed here on a monthly basis for several months as it was the cheapest decent option in the area. There is no Wi-Fi, cable etc, but is right by the river. We had a tree shaded lot. Ended up next to rude neighbors that would leave their dog out all the time and prevent us from doing things on our own rig. Finally ended up calling animal control a couple times. Managers said to have talked to the man many times issue finally was resolved as we neared time to leave the park. Nothing is the same for every RV'er in the park. What is good for one is not good for all, seems to be rules made up as they go along. Electric is not grounded and there were many surges that took place and we now have some electrical issues as a result. This is the 2nd park we had ever stayed at so we were still learning what to look for. If I had no other choice I would stay here but on short term basis only and not hooked into electric. No issues with water or sewer. Management changed hands, first managers seemed pretty good and hard working, 2nd set not sure wasn't there long enough to know them well enough. I would look around however and stay elsewhere. They did allow kids and up to 2 pets. We were here in a 5th wheel and had enough parking for 2 pickup trucks. Was approximately 10 miles out of town, but on the way towards West Yellowstone. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We'd like to rate this park higher; the owners are the friendliest, most accommodating people we've encountered and the rate is very reasonable. Alas, the train noise and cramped sites are an annoyance, and this park is best served for an overnight only. The free Wi-Fi worked well, and Verizon cell and data were strong. There's no cable TV and trees could be a problem for the satellite, so ask for a site with a clear view when checking in. The sites share central hookups and are close together. Road noise is noticeable, but not loud enough to disturb our sleep as did the trains. Easy access to I-90 and the downtown area. We'd stay overnight here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Overnight stop. Spaces were narrow for our three slides. Staff was great! We arrived late and the park was "full". We were offered a small back-in spot since she didn't want to turn us away (after dark). Got lots of suggestions for going into town and directions for the next day. After setting up camp we were given fresh made strawberry-rhubarb pie - yum! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The fact that the hosts were friendly did not override the noise (trains and truck traffic all night) or the discomfort of having to park cheek-by-jowl with other campers in what amounted to a parking lot. I was accused by the 'permanent' camper next to me of tampering with his sewer connection (which I had not touched) and did not get much sleep all night due to the constant racket. We would choose a Walmart parking lot rather than ever stay here again. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

What this campground lacks in location (between I-90 and an active railroad track), it makes up for in cleanliness and hospitality. The owners are extremely accommodating. The bath houses were as neat as can be, with nice showers and plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi was pretty sluggish. AT&T and Verizon both worked well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

As previous reviews have stated the sites in this CG are close but this is not a place you would want sit outside to admire the scenery. On one side is I-90 and the other a railroad track. The noise at night between the road traffic and the trains going through would keep us from making this a lengthy stay. We stopped here for only a couple of nights. This RV Park is close to town and the freeway which makes easy access and departure. This is a nice campground run by a VERY friendly couple who are very accommodating and hospitable. The sites and roads are covered with round rock which does not pack and when it rains it sinks in. They have nice shady spots most of which are taken by what appears to be semi permanent residents. The playground was really nonexistent and as far as children go is not very friendly. It was all mud, leaves, all grass and neglected. We did enjoy the stay, although the trains ran right by the park until midnight or so and then started early in the morning again. We would stay again, but would explore other options first. We stayed here for a night. The park is easy to get to and from Interstate 90. It is located between the Interstate and a railroad track that was in current use. On the other two sides was an auto repair business and car dealership. The park was rather noisy due to its location. The interior roads and sites are gravel. The roads were narrow. The pull through sites were not long enough for larger coaches with their toads attached. We barely fit into the site with our combination. Another coach came in later and was parked next to us encroaching on our exit. The sites were generally level. Not much privacy between the sites. The sites are set up to share the common area between them. Sites have full hookups, water, electricity (50 AMP), and multiple sewer connections. Sites had an outside table. Part of the park is covered with trees and another portion is open to the sky. The trees encroach on some of the sites and a portion of the road. Opening slides was easy in a site without tree encroachment. Some sites offer a view of the southern sky to get satellite reception. Wi-Fi reception was good. There seem to be a lot of long term residents. Some left their dogs tied outside of their units. The designated pet area was along the outside edge of the park. The area was not fenced. There wasn't sufficient area to walk the dogs. There were bag dispensers around the park for pet waste. The trash cans were full so it took several tries to find one empty enough to hold the garbage. After it rained, there were standing pools of water along the gravel roads. We didn't use the restrooms/showers/laundry room. The only thing that made our stay tolerable were the owners who were very polite and helpful. They were working in the park until dark raking leaves. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many folks are not fortunate to own a shiny newer rig, and don't be surprised if you see rigs here which would be excluded from many parks. But, that did not prevent us from enjoying our stay here. The owners live at the park, and they are a very nice couple. The interior streets and sites are covered with a thick layer of crushed rock. It rained alot during our 5 night stay, and there were some water puddles, but the sites and streets were firm and not muddy. This is a no-frills park, but it is a nice place to use as a base for exploring the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have family in the area plus we also have a summer job at Yellowstone so this is where we stay to visit and before we head down to the job. It is still considered winter here so the park is a little run down. Each site is gravel with a grassy area in between plus a picnic table. There are a lot of trees at some of the sites. We stayed in #43 and had good satellite reception (Direct) and cell phone coverabe (Verizon). The camp is on the frontage road off I-90 with easy off and on. Sunrise Campground services are good. Camp site is level, and long enough to park both the truck and trailer on the site. We use Directv and could not get a good signal. The campground has a lot of trees and is pretty low to the surrounding area and not allowing a good signal. Bear Canyon Campground campground is close by and up high on a plateau allowing good reception. I probably won't stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice little park with easy access to I-90. There is some traffic noise but we are pretty used to it and managed to get a good night's sleep. The sites are a little tight with a front to back shared utilities arrangement. The owners are fantastic and will do anything to make your stay pleasant. The office has a very large inventory of DVD's that can be used at no charge. The sites are level and firm packed gravel. The Wi-Fi worked fine and we were given a site with good satellite viewing. As others have noted this is a fairly standard, near the highway campground. The roads and sites are gravel; sites are a bit small but are easy to maneuver into even with a large motorhome. These are some of the narrowest sites we've ever seen. The neighbors sewer hookup is right next to our dining table while our sewer hookup is almost underneath their bedroom. Staying here for one night. It is right off Hwy 90 so you will get traffic noise. Sites are all gravel and because of heavy coaches in some sites, they need to be raked between customers. This is a clean, well-located campground. While definitely not upscale, we were perfectly happy with our pull-through site and the 3 nights we spent here. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful: a pleasure to deal with. We love this Park. Have spent 1 to 2 weeks here for the last two years. Have never, ever met more accommodating owners/hosts. This year we missed the rain and had excellent weather. The train horns were less then we remembered from last year and the owners had ear plugs if you wanted them, another example of efforts to go that extra step for their guests. If you want a clean, pleasant park, stay here. Close to Bozeman and easy drive to Hilite Lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best parks. Has raised gravel pads with grass and picnic tables between sites. Almost all of their sites are pull-throughs. They know how to place you for good satellite connectivity. Wi-Fi is free and strong. And best of all, they take you to your site and ensure you have everything you need and are set into your space straight. Wi-Fi is fine - a definite bonus! It's a small park and the sites are too close for our comfort. Unfortunately, the area had been having lots of rain so our motorhome made some distinct ruts in the gravel site. The owner was nice enough to point out some potholes in the exit route which hadn't been fixed yet due to all the rain. The park is sandwiched between the interstate and a railroad track. Our site was on the interstate side so we heard our share of traffic. And the trains made themselves known throughout the night. Not a quiet park, by any means, but a definite bargain for a night or two. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Paid nightly rate of $27 plus tax for a 50 amp FU pull through. Very good dependable Wi-Fi and TV via bat wing was very good. Great lineup of DVD's and lots of books in the library for exchange. LP is $2.75 if you stay here. The owners get a solid 10 here, but I think 10 is over rating the place a bit. No big problem with highway or train noise. Our site was very nice, but it is all side by side hookups. Some of which are fairly tight, so it depends on where you end up. The location is great through, just turn left out of the park and it becomes Main St. I-90 provides good access to the stores west at exits 305 & 306. It was also nice to be able to wash our rig. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our price was based on the weekly rate. We give this campsite full marks, this does not mean it's perfect, but rates excellent on everything we find most important. The owners make you feel at home here without "over doing it" and are very helpful. The restrooms were clean and the showers were great, loads of pressure and HOT! Our spot had excellent Wi-Fi reception, they also had a direct modem plug in the TV room. The washing machines and dryers were great. There is no TV, but to compensate this, there is an excellent and large choice of DVD's to choose from completely free. They also do not mind you washing your rig here, and actually told me I could park our truck on the grass and give it a wash. The site is just 1 mile from Bozeman, which is a nice town to explore. The owners of this campsite obviously enjoy running their campsite, and this really shows. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice spot for overnight or even a few nights while visiting Bozeman. I don't think that the owner could possibly be any sweeter. She worked very hard to meet everyone's needs. Sites are a bit narrow for opposing slides, but I've been in worse. Easy on/off of interstate. Interstate noise wasn't bad, trains seemed to peak about 1-2am. WiFi worked well. AT&T phone got good reception. Laundry room was small (only three washers) but VERY clean and not expensive. Will definitely stay again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy to get to right off the interstate, however, we were on the interstate side of the park and the noise was pretty loud. Add to that a train, and it wasn't the most peaceful. Owners were nice. We were looking for a nice place close to the Bozeman airport. Campground is not far from groceries. Has WiFi. Sites were a little closer together than other parks we've visited in the Pacific Northwest/West, not a nice place. Could get AT&T phone service. Has a playground and a cean laundry room. The only reason this park did not get a ten is the noise factor with the highway and train tracks so near. We arrived in a driving rainstorm yet the owner personally accompanied us to our site and guided us into position for hookups. Owners are super nice people and are on top of the maintenance. I dropped into this park at 11:30 pm planning on a quick night sleep in my tent and on to my destination. What a mistake. Admittedly, the park looked very nice as I drove around looking for the tent spots. There were no late arrival instructions or way to pay. Of course, the office was closed. The RV spaces weren't real crowded but they were pretty close. I doubt I could get my 70 ft of RV in the place. It looked very clean for a good sized park. The bathroom was clean. I pitched the tent and hit the sack. But not for long. The tent sites are backed up against I-90. Every 30 seconds I woke with a rush of adrenalin wondering if the semi barreling down the freeway was coming through my tent site. I couldn't have been more than a couple hundred feet from the freeway. On the other side of the campground is a railroad, that ran every hour or so. I barely slept for 4 hours, got up at 4:00 am, packed up, and left. We camped here in a Tent.

The sites are side by side which has the advantage of not looking at your neighbors sewer connection when sitting outside. The Wi-Fi is excellent, with several repeaters around the park. Many of the sites are satellite friendly. Sites are gravel and level. The interstate is very close and trains do come through at night, so the noise may bother some people. We stayed here for a week and would do so again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely owners and very reasonable rates. We would recommend Sunrise to anyone looking for a very clean, smaller park. We will revisit on our return trip. You do not often find parks priced so low that are this clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Owner and staff are the loveliest folks have met in a long time, they made us feel right at home for a five night stay. Park does get some road noise from interstate, but the at home feeling of this park more than makes up for it. Beautiful giant hanging flower baskets all over, lots of grass, trees, gravel drives and sites, no dusty or dirt and friendly campers. Sites are bit close but still comfortable. Close to shopping, downtown and Bozeman has lots of culturally things too. Highly recommend We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in our 40' quad slide motorhome. We were in site 35 which is on gravel and side by side to another RV. We had 50 amp, satellite reception and a table. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. There is WIFI is available. There are trees but we were parked where we could use our satellite system. The park is next to the freeway and noisy. Yes, we would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice place. Owner showed me to my space. Gravel, level, clean bathrooms and shower. WiFi worked well. No cable. I got 3 regular stations and 3 PBS, but they kept going in and out. Some of the time I had no TV. Cell phone (AT&T) worked fairly well. It cut out occasionally. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As stated previously,owners are very helpful and friendly. Park sits on a shallow water table, so constant replenishment of gravel is being done to keep the sites from becoming rutted. Free Wi-Fi worked very well and was very fast. Good power,water and cell signal. We had a long pull through which I had requested. Road noise and some train noise but I would stay here again. We've traveled for one year and haven't found friendlier owners. Most sites are long pull thrus and access to Bozeman is great. We bike into town most days. Gravel and grass are in good shape. Free DVD movie rentals at check-in. The roads and pads could use an upgrade to asphalt and there is some freeway noise, but the friendly owners, access to town, nice trees and shade, and overall quality of the park make it a repeat stay for us. This is the 4th year we have stayed at this park. We stay here because we have family in the area. Every other year it has been in the summer. We were disappointed this year at the way the park looked. Lots of junk lying around, so much gravel in the sites that you could hardly drive thru. The road is full of potholes. On a positive note the bathrooms and laundry are old but clean, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Basically it's the only place close to town. We'll stay here again if and when we're in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good option for stays in Bozeman due to its location, only a 5-minute drive from active and quaint Main Street, downtown. Bozeman is a great little town, very artsy and outdoorsy. The hosts/owners were very friendly and set the tone for a very congenial campground. There appeared to be mostly long-term campers here and even some tenters. Sites are gravel and fairly tight, with sparse grass in between. The outer row where we stayed looks out over a field with the I-90 freeway beyond, although they placed everyone so that the view was to the interior instead. Freeway noise is a problem and did wake me up early. There is no cable TV, but several networks come in via antenna. The free wifi worked exceptionally well. I noted a lot of RV's at the nice WalMart Supercenter at the next exit to the west which would be a better bet for a late arrival/early departure, but this is the place to stay for exploring Bozeman. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The people who run Sunrise are such nice people. They make you feel welcome the instant you walk into their office. They have a large selection of older DVD's for you to use no charge. If you are looking for a spot of interest they will give you a map and give you some ideas. The rest rooms are very clean. They have a nice laundry room. Washers are $1.25 and the dryers are $1.00. They even have a iron for you to use. Nice big TV room for you to watch. The only downside is the train and highway noise, but we would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Although this park is a bit tight, it is very well-maintained with well gravelled sites, good ingress and egress, level sites, and very, very friendly owners/managers. This campground would be OK for a night or two. It was kind of a mixed bag for us. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and knows a lot about the area. The WIFI is free, and the signal was strong and fast. No cable, but we did get major networks with our antenna. Campground was clean and well kept. We only have two negatives - our site and the road noise. They really can't do anything about the road noise. It's there and it's loud. Doesn't usually bother me but it did here. Ran the fan on the A/C all night to drown it out. They have nice sites with trees and then they have a row in a gravel area with no trees and no site separators of any kind. The hookups were side to side and so I kind of got the feeling I was in a Walmart parking lot but had hookups! They need to bring those sites up to par with the rest of the campground and if I ever go there again, they need to give me one of the sites in the trees. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is operated and managed by two great people, (husband and wife). They were very helpful and ready to meet any need you might have, if it is possible. The park is close to the freeway and we did have some road noise, but not excessive. A railroad is also nearby, but is also was not an issue at night. We will return to this facility. This is our 3rd visit to this park. Although the managers are great some of the campers leave a lot to be desired. We camp here only because we have family in the area and its the only camp close to Bozeman. The sites are all gravel with weedy grass in between each site. The internet is spotty. The freeway goes right behind the park and there is considerable traffic noise. The owners will escort you to your site which is a nice feature. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty campground near the freeway but traffic noise wasn't a problem. The manager was outstanding. He lead us to our site and helped direct us in so I, the co-pilot wouldn't have to get out and help the pilot in the rain. He also gave us a Montana road map and recommended several routes we could take and the tourist sights we could see. He offered to call the next morning to check road conditions as snow had been predicted. Very nice man!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great management team - guiding you in, even in the rain. Sites are typical with picnic table - not the widest we've seen, but ample room. The sites are level gravel - the owners add new gravel every year. One big plus is that every other site is opposite from the next - putting sewer to sewer and door to door. It's nice sitting outside without the neighbors sewer hookup. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground is off I-90 but set below highway grade so noise is minimized. Extremely friendly family owned RV Park. Park is near the Museum of the Rockies and the Galletin River. We camped here in a camper.
