A serviceable campground. Check-in was efficient. Campground not crowded, so lots of elbow room. Laundry room clean; machines dated, but serviceable. Pretty quiet, as it's off the main road by a bit, but rather a funky drive in. Dump station not well-designed (don't put the drain UPHILL, people). Expensive for what it is, but there's not a lot of competition in this part of the state. Water and electric hookups worked just fine. Probably would not stay here again, as we will not take US 2 across the state again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I imagine this place can get flooded and have mosquito issues. The sites are shaded and grass/gravel/dirt. They have cable hook up but you only get 3 channels. They have a nice book exchange. Clean showers and bathrooms staff nice. Pretty quiet and no night lights. Close to Havre. Our site was pretty flat. All in all an OK site especially compared to the parks in town which are right on the main drag and would have a lot of train and road noise. See Havre undergound. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park provides adequate utilities including good Wi-Fi. Sites are level grass with many mature trees and appear to be scattered about the front yard of an old farmhouse. The short gravel road into the park is rough and potholed. Restrooms and pay showers are worn but adequately clean. The dump station is very awkwardly located. AT&T phone and data service worked. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose this campground over the other two due to reviews. I understand the statement that it felt more like camping at someones farm. Our site was level enough for our 40' by stopping on 2 higher spots in the site. We were unable to get dish in that site & the "cable" (owners analog 3 major channels) provided did not work for us. The gravel entry could use some leveling & was dusty when dry. The campground itself, was quite muddy after a rain. The owner is very welcoming & helpful with local info & even coupons for local businesses. We would camp here again if in Havre, cause we loved being off 2 & away from the train. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely park, especially after camping in Medora, ND campground. The owner was friendly and helpful. Our site had no fire ring and she put one in just where we wanted it, and she cut down a tree branch to make pulling our camper into the perfect spot much easier. The Wi-Fi signal was strong. Road noise from Highway 2 was a bit obvious, but at dark the park itself was quiet and peaceful. This has a real campground feel. Campers walked around and conversed with one another, but everyone was very respectful of privacy. The bathrooms were older but clean and freshly painted. There was pride in ownership here! The owner also brought out yard games for the younger children to play. We will stay here again if we find ourselves passing this way! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Adequate park for spending a night or a few days. Grass sites, fairly level. Lots of trees. Wi-Fi worked okay and some TV. Somewhat isolated, but not much to see/do around here anyway except get vehicles serviced and re-provision. Nice, friendly town. Would stay here again when passing through. Rate is daily rate for 30 amp pull through site. Located a little off the beaten path, roads are gravel and dirt, sites are grass. If dry, you will stir up dust as you drive in. This is an older park that has been adequately maintained, making it acceptable as an overnight stopping place, or to spend a few days exploring the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is more like parking at a friends farm than a campground. There are no defined spaces, just grass with utilities. The owner is friendly and helped with local suggestions. The power is good (50A) as is the water and Wi-Fi. Not all sites have sewers. Depending on your site, it may be tight, and the roads in are gravel and a bit tight. But, in the end, this is a good place to overnight. And do take the Havre underground tour, quite interesting. We'd stay here again, as long as it is dry, as the grass spaces could become very slick. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Can't say enough good about this site or the hosts! Located 0.2 miles off the highway, but still was very quiet. They were accommodating in bringing us a fire pit so we could have a campfire. They offer a Good Sam discount too, but we aren't members. Easy to set up at our site, fairly level sites with full power, water and sewer hook up. Wi-Fi was perfect, no problems. Playground needs updating, but at least there was one. Great bang for your buck! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A lovely rural and peaceful setting to this campground which is well maintained. Very helpful owners. Pull-through sites are grass but are not conventional (weave through the trees) which could be tight for larger rigs. The back-ins are also a bit tight. The laundry shed needs completely refurbishing - old and grubby. Restrooms old but clean. With some upgrading this campground would be beautiful. TV service no good at all. Wi-Fi very good where we were. There is a dump station in this campground but for large rigs it is almost impossible to get to. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The office person was friendly and helpful. She gave us info on attractions & dining in town and some discount coupons. The rate we paid was for water & electric, no sewer hookup as they were all taken. It also reflects the Good Sam discount. This is a small quiet park about 5 miles out of town. It is grassy & has a lot of trees. We had a very large shaded site but most of the full hookup sites are smaller & closer together. Our site was level, we are not sure if they all are. Most sites had picnic tables. The road is gravel and grass. It looks as if some of the sites could get muddy after a rain. The bathrooms and showers were older but clean. The laundry had 4 washers and 3 dryers all in good working order. The tent sites were very nice and roomy with grass and trees. The power and hookups were good. Quite a few of the sites are suitable for big rigs. There was free WI FI and it worked very well at our site. This was a quiet and relaxing park but nothing fancy. We were very happy with our 2 day stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an overnighter while on the road, and we found the owner helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our site which had water and 50amp service with no sewer hook-up available for our big rig motorhome at that site. Although it wasn't the typical 'pull through,' we drove around on the grass and pulled forward, facing the exit road. This campground has a country feel and was quiet and clean. It was very relaxing and we would stop there again if we had the chance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Evergreen Campground Havre Staff was friendly and escorted us to our spot and assisted us to back into our site. The site was very tight. We could not deploy our awning and our slide was only five to six feet from the next unit. We had full hook ups. The WiFi free and strong. They definitely have a mosquito problem so not having a picnic table was not a problem. There is lots of shade and it appears most of the sites are long term guests. Washrooms and laundry could use a cleaning and/or renovations. OK for one night but we would not stay any longer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners are very nice. Campground is clean. Parking is good, even with tow dolly. Electric is 30 and 50,They even provided a 50 to 30 amp conversion for us. Internet is very good bandwidth. Water and sewage on site is also easy and available. Site is well manicured. One issue is the Mosquitoes. This site is near some bogs and they seem to love us over the locals. This is a small park on the south end of town. It was a do-it-yourself check in. No one in the office, so put your money in the envelope and pick a site. After we got set up, I saw that there were several available sites with sewer hook up, although our site didn't have one. I still haven't found a dump station. Some of the sites are long and level. All sites are grass and after the rain, tend to be a little muddy in places. The entrance road is full of pot holes. The toilets and showers need a good cleaning. They have a laundry room and free book exchange. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, shaded, grass sites and nice people. Only 4 miles south of Havre and far better than the two campgrounds in Havre. Worth the trip, if you want to stay in Havre. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My type of campground. It is in a rural setting, lots of grass, some trees, but not too many to bother satellite reception, quiet and run by a very nice family. There is free WiFi, modem hookup in laundry, telephone for non-long distance calls. The campground is at the end of a .2 mile dirt road. The only negative is the dust that will be raised, especially by diesel pushers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Previous posters pretty well nailed this campground. It is next to the highway, noisy but our electricity was good and steady. We needed Electricity to run our air. It was in the mid 80's and we ran both units pulling 20 amps. Voltage was steady at 113 Volts. Price was OK as we had 30 amp electricity, water and a dump station so it was worth the money. Self registration was OK as we were the only campers here. Next time I will read the reviews before I pull in and maybe spend more money for a quieter site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While we didn’t spend a full night here, it was enough time to justify a review of this campground. From its description we didn’t expect much, but got less. First was the issue that no one would return our phone calls that we started making to the park the day before we arrived. We finally decided to chance it and arrived in the early afternoon to find the park almost empty: and without any staff! The park butts-up against highway 2 and is part of the county fairground. The pull-through spaces are parallel parking along some short trees that made it impossible to park a big-rig without trimming them: which we did. Each space also had a large (15’-20’ long) mud puddle conveniently located where the coach entry had to be. We could live with all of this, but after all the efforts of preparing the site we plugged into the 30 amp electrical (the highest available) to find our coach’s alarm going off with a brownout condition. The outlet tested as varying from 120 volts down to 8. Amperage, interestingly, moved from 30 to 50 at random. We moved to one of the back-in sites only to find the same condition. We can live with power that goes off and on, but brownouts are a potential killer for current sophisticated electronics. The only other rig in the park was a camper that only noticed their lights dimmed occasionally. After almost three hours of effort, we finally gave up in frustration and moved on down the road. We will not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is located at the Hill County Fairgrounds in Havre. The campground consists of mostly back-in sites with a half dozen pull throughs, and is a good stopover point when crossing Montana on Route 2. There are a few picnic tables here and there, but otherwise it is a parking spot. The pull through sites have partial shade, but none for the back-in sites. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The campground is right next to Route 2, noisy during the day. A Walmart Supercenter is just west of the site. Train buffs will want to go downtown to watch the BNSF yard operations from the bridge overpass. They allowed RV washing at the site, so we made good use of that. We'd stay here again on our way through this part of the state. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park for overnight, level spots, parking around an oblong cul-de-sac with utilities on the right rather than left. Sits between the rail depot and US 2, but stone fences made it quiet enough. Easy gas access beside park and several places to eat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very surprised when we arrived and saw a long strip of grass with RV sites around it. Very tight corner at the entrance for big rigs. Hook-ups are all on the wrong side, so we had to throw the electrical cord under the RV and hope it made it to the other side! Noisiest park we have ever stayed in as the train track is RIGHT beside the park. Felt like we were riding the train all night! Now we know why the Wal-Mart parking lot was so full as we came through town. Won't stay here again. Definitely not the "Best in The Northwest" as the advertisement states in Trailer Life Directory. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is located right in the town on the main hwy. Big rig parking is parallel around a center island, all other sites are backin around the parameter. Big rig parking could be a little cramped. All the back in sites are concrete and level with grass between sites. Each has a picnic table and lots of shade. On the street side there is a nicely built wood fence that blocks a lot of the traffic noise. The back of the park also has a wood fence which helps block noise from the adjoining rail yard. Wi-Fi is located in the hotel lobby and is free. The restrooms are each a private room with shower etc., and have their own entrance with a keypad code to enter and lock. There are five of them for the RV park and were clean, modern and spacious. Overall we found this to be a nice overnight stop and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Havre RV Park is a small facility located on the east side of town. For some reason my GPS had it on the south side of highway 2 when in is actually on the north side of the road. It is affiliated with an attached convenience store, casino, and motel operation. You check in at the convenience store. The Wi-Fi and the pool are at the hotel and you are permitted to use them. The park is well maintained but is very tight. It’s basically and oblong loop and the “pull throughs” are along the center of the loop. If you arrive late and ask for a pull through it becomes and exercise in parallel parking. Also the electric and water are on the “wrong” side of your rig. There are some back ins that radiate off the loop but they are also pretty small. The entire loop is paved. There is a good Laundromat on site. Havre is a great place to re-provision if you’re going to or coming from Glacier National Park which is about 200 miles west of Havre. There’s a Wal-Mart on the west side of Havre and there’s a great IGA food store about ½ mile from the RV Park. If you need hardware, sporting goods, or propane there’s a place on the west side of town called Big R that’s really a good store for guy toys. The town also has as a good select of restaurants and fast food places. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Havre RV Park/Emporium Food and Fuel Store is a difficult place to rate for its strange layout. First of all it is not well marked, doesn’t show up on a GPS and is a quick turn into from a very busy street. It is just past the junction of Hwy 2 & 15th Ave on our Microsoft Streets and Trips and immediately before the Best Western heading west on Rt. 2. They really shoehorn the campers into their assigned sites, and in our case, we shared a picnic table with our neighbor located on the other side of the center median from our location. Our water and electric hookups necessitated taking our water hose and power cable and running it under the rig because of the pedestal and water bib location. The sewer was on the correct side but located in the roadway. They offer wi-fi, but you have to walk to the casino to get it, and I’m not sure it’s free. Our Verizon cell gave us 3 bars, and our Mi-Fi worked well. Never did look for the showers, etc. but guess they have them. We couldn’t put up our roof top satellite dish because of the overhanging trees, nor did we put out our drivers side slide because of the narrowness of the roadway, and we felt that some entering/departing camper would hit it. Yes, the huge rail yard is within 100 yards of the rig, but it and the highway noise were not that much of a problem. Their dog walk area is non-existent or through a neighbors site hence the not pet friendly comment. Their nightly rate, in spite of a small Good Sam discount, was too high for what they offer. We were ready to move on after one night and the nearby Walmart parking lot would be a much better value, and no, we would not return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very small park next to a busy road and rail yard. Did not notice any noise from rail yard, but the street can get noisy. Pull through spaces are parking spaces, lengthwise, along the center median. The other spaces are back-ins around the perimeter. Spaces are assigned based on the length of your unit. Would only recommend this place for an overnight stop over, nothing more than that. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Although located between main street (Route 2) and rail yard, it was generally quiet and one of the prettiest in-town RV parks we'd stayed at. We had a mechanical breakdown when leaving and were allowed to remain until our repairs were completed. Within easy walking distance of the Underground City and other locations we wanted to visit. Neat and clean campground. It is in town and close to shops and dining. Thought it was pretty pricey for what you get. Had parallel parking for pull throughs. Some big back in sites, but all were taken up by monthly guests. We have a 35' MH. Could not image a 40' in here. Measurement of sites is questionable. Train noise was not as bad as previous reviewers had mentioned. We would stay here again if we had to do laundry, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Bottom line: this is an adequate park with no frills. They have taken a very small area and managed to cram in the maximum number of sites. Read the other reviews for details of the odd layout. I arrived in my fifth wheel dreading the possible need to parallel park the rig. Not a concern as they make every effort to fill the sites in a clockwise manner to allow the next rig to simply drive into the space. Make sure when checking in that the site they give you will hold your full rig. The location is right between Hwy 2 (lots of diesel semi trucks) and the RR tracks. We were dreading not being able to sleep but somehow the noises were much less after dark and sleeping was not an issue. This is the best park in town and was very full during the 2 nights we stayed here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was very convenient considering we had to be in town for a couple of days instead of at a regular campground. Hookups & laundry were welcome after days on the road. Site had picnic table and small shade tree that helped in the afternoon. Historic location near Great Northern Railroad yard means - accept the location, accept the sound of trains. Actually, I found it somewhat nostalgic, evoking Western history. Staff was courteous, grounds and bathroom were tidy. Restaurants in close walking distance. Compared to other in-town RV places we stayed on our big trip this was nice. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We moved to this park after giving up trying to make any site at Great Northern Campground in Havre work for us. Havre RV Park sits snug between a major railway and rail yard on one side and Highway 2 on the other. We decided to try Great Northern first because we were worried about the noise at this park. Actually, while noticeable, noise at Havre RV was not a major problem in the two days we were there. The park, however, is set up for short campers or vans and not large motorhomes like we drive. Havre RV Park advertises big-rig drive-through sites but they are actually parallel parking spaces clockwise around the center area of their park. We had to use two sites to get close to the curb so others could get by. The problem is that the hookups are then on the wrong side for coaches and 5th wheels and steps jam into the curb. In our case, a 40’ electrical cable and 40’ water hose were both to short. It wasn’t awful, but we will try for another park next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

These people lie about their wifi. It is not available from the sites. You must go about a block to the motel to connect. The layout is 2 rather narrow streets side by side with what they call a pull through as parallel parking with a curb. It is 55 feet long but with slides out on 5th wheels very hard to get into. The staff is in gas station/C store and don't understand RV travel or the internet. One gets different answers from different people. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Its true, the strangest layout for a park! I was lucky and arrived around noon, so we were the first trailer on the island. I pulled in and out ok. But I would not stay there if I had to parallel park my 32' 5th wheeler, between other parked rv's! Staff was very friendly. There is a nice lounge and casino. The park was not quiet because of highway noise. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park had a weird layout. We had to park our towed in an area remote from our camp site. There is a large train maintenance and switching yard next to the campground, which makes this a very noisy place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is right on Hwy. 2 on the east side of town. Use of the pool and exercise room at the adjacent Best Western is included in the price. The layout is quite different, with parking for bigger rigs along the curb of the center island, and lots of small back-in spaces around the perimeter. We had to move out from behind the trees to the south side for satellite reception, but had no problems with our Verizon card. It was well kept and we would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very convenient to town. But it's the strangest layout I have ever experienced. Most sites are parking one rig behind the other, on both sides of a long median. You share the very small table space in between. Slides stick out into the road. There are back'ins also, if your not to long. The restuarants/casino are a close walk. Get there early if you want a site that is easy to get in and out of. Strictly an overnight stop for me. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
