This campground is also called Boxwood Elder RV Campground. It is a city run campground in the extreme northeast corner of Montana where we could find no other campgrounds. It has 30 amp and water, no sewer. It has pit toilets. A donation of $10 is requested for a site with hook-ups. The telephone number is the number for City Hall. Sites are first come, first served. Sites were decent size and ours was level. A dump station is available at the rest area on the east edge of town. Right behind the dump station is a Lions run campground with about 8 sites with electric and water, but they were too small for our 40 foot rig. The farmland around Plentywood is rich and beautiful, and the town itself is a lovely little oasis in a very rural area. There are grocery, liquor, hardware, and drug stores as well as several restaurants. While not a luxury campground, it was adequate and very welcome for an overnight between Saskatoon and Medora, allowing us to miss the nightmare of traffic and overcrowding that Williston, ND has become. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
