Very nice campground just outside Glacier National Park. Lots of shade trees and very quiet except for the occasional freight train going by somewhere close enough to hear it several times during the day and night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived without a reservation and found the park staff to be very accommodating and friendly. We were assigned a back-in RV site with plenty of room for our 5th wheel trailer with three slide-outs. All of the sites are back-in. The RV Park is located in a densely forested area and all of the sites are well shaded and have a fire ring. The front office sells a decent bundle of firewood for $7. All sites are separated from each other by a dense forest that gives each camper a lot of privacy. Access roads are paved and in good condition. The RV Park is generally big rig accessible however; some turns are a little tight and trees at some sites make it a challenge to back in. The RV Park is on a slope so most of the sites are not level, but with a full set of leveling blocks we were able to come close to level. Electric (30 amp) and water hook-ups were convenient, on the left side and closer to the front of the site. The electrical connection box did not have a breaker and the voltage was very low. The water system consisted of a flexible plastic pipe attached to a spigot with a hose clamp. The water pressure was very poor. Water from a faucet would slow to a trickle after 3 – 5 seconds. None of the sites have a sewer connection. The sewer dump station is near the RV Park entrance and the turn going into and out of the dump site is tight. There several bathroom / shower buildings in the park. Bathroom buildings and fixtures are a little dated. Each building has two small shower stalls. Bathrooms and showers were in fair condition and could use a deep cleaning. The ventilation fan was very dusty and did not keep the shower area ventilated so the building had a musty smell. The RV Park laundry has four washing machines and two large capacity dryers. The machines are older but in good condition and clean; $1.00 to wash and $1.00 to dry. There is a restaurant on-site with a large open pit BBQ. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner in a large covered outdoor seating area. The BBQ ribs, baked beans and soup were great. The RV Park is approximately .25 miles from Highway 2 and there is a little noise from passing vehicles. There is also a railroad line approximately .5 miles away and the horn from the passing trains can be heard day and night. The RV Park is approximately one mile from the west entrance to Glacier National Park, which is very popular, and reservations are highly recommended. Verizon 3G cell signal was good with three bars. Sites at the southwest side of the park, up the hill, offer the greatest privacy. We stayed three nights, paid $86.67 and received a 10 percent AAA discount. The RV Park also offers a 10 percent discount for Good Sam and AARP. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved the location and setting of this campground. It really does feel like camping used to be in the early 1970s. Unfortunately, it's still sized and laid out for a park of that vintage! Most sites, while private and fairly spacious, are not large enough for very many larger rigs. Our 5th wheel is only 35' and it was a challenge negotiating the tight corners and our site, which was a very unlevel pull-through. Our site while long enough had a definite curve in the middle which made setting up and leveling a challenge with three slides and trees all around! We had some electrical issues at our site. Our surge protector kept tripping us off due to low voltage. When we found another electric connection box hidden in the shrubs, we switched to it and it worked a little better. The owners were friendly and they did provide daily trash pickup at each site. The laundry room was not fancy but the 4 washers and two large driers worked well for a reasonable price. The big bonus of this campground is the convenience to Glacier National Park: you're literally minutes away. The BBQ cafe in the campground was nice. We enjoyed a good rib dinner there. There's a taco/burrito stand across the highway which was excellent! We also used the Great Northern Rafting company right across the highway from the campground to take a wonderful whitewater rafting trip. Smaller rigs will find this campground a great deal! Great Park, with nice people running it. Rate is with Good Sam card. Negatives are: weak Wi-Fi if you are up on the top of the hill. Difficult to get level with big rig, and tight turns can be handled but carefully, too few showers but they have really hot water and lots of it. Food is great at their outdoor cafe. Yes, I would like to spend more time there: close To Glacier Park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We considered a slightly lower evaluation with the lack of sewer and shared power and water stanchions. 30AMP is breaker-less and the left site has to set up to run water and power under the rig to reach the stanchion. Setup then takes away the space for patio and awning. The restrooms and laundry are clean. Water pressure to the sites is poor, sometimes barely a trickle. There are two bath houses to service 175 sites. Access to Glacier west entrance is three miles away. To tour the park, leave your rig at the Transit Center and take the shuttle system which can carry you all the way to the east entrance at St. Mary. Cell phones have good connectivity but Wi-Fi will not connect. The free Wi-Fi at the CG lodge is good. When its busy it can be slow, but otherwise is good. We didn't utilize the BBQ since we were out of the CG everyday in Glacier National Park. The staff here is friendly and very helpful. The "at site" garbage pickup in the mornings is pretty nice. Black Bear have been seen in the CG so food stuff needs to be stored safely. Portions of the CG are a little tight so caution when moving big rigs looking for a space. Don't be surprised at the Amtrak and BNSF trains whistling through the night as they stop at or move through West Glacier. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is, indeed, the way camping used to be! We loved this place. The campsites are large and all are well shaded. We were camping with another couple and felt like we had our own private campground because the sites were so large and private. The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. We ate breakfast at the outdoor cafe twice (the Eggs Benedict are wonderful), and dinner (for the barbeque) once. Loved the cafe and its atmosphere. We liked the site trash pickup. As others have noted, it is really handy to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. The WiFi was a little weak at our site, but we really didn't mind going up to their cozy living room/office to get our signal. We highly recommend this campground and would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground, a mile from the West Glacier entrance. Campsites are wooded and shady. It was a bit tight, but doable for our 34 foot fifth wheel. The staff is WONDERFUL. They are friendly and helpful. Garbage is picked up at the site each morning as wildlife has been seen in the campground. There is an outdoor cafe Wednesday through Sunday that serves breakfast and dinner. Did not have a chance to eat here, too much other stuff to do, but the menu looked good. There was no sewer, but does have an easily accessible dump station. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Advertised as 'the way camping used to be' and it is true. It's not a resort, but they do have a small store, laundry, and a cafe/BBQ on site. The staff is really friendly and helpful. For those that may bypass it due to the lack of sewer hookups, they offer a pump out service by truck for a fee. Park rules state no generators, but there is a boy scout troop here using one for hours right across from the office and they don't seem to do anything about it. The campground and buildings are very clean. This is a fabulous alternative to staying in the National Park without power, especially on hot days. We would stay here again. Friendly staff, clean but small restroom closest to our site. Sites are dirt and it was a bit muddy from the rain. Sites are not very level. Lots of trees. Overall, a nice atmosphere. Just be sure to have the ability to level your RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed three days in a pull-through site. Deeply wooded sites with occasional bear sighting thrown in. We liked this park, especially for the price and would have rated it at the highest rating if they had park wide Wi-Fi. Friendly folks in the office, nice greatroom, and good access all made for a nice stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Like camping in the National park, but with hook-ups! Heavily wooded, private sites made it feel like real camping after several days of parking lot RV parks. Right outside the West Entrance to Glacier, very clean restrooms & showers. This was a perfect park for us, except that we had to sit in the office to use internet. Even that wasn't bad, because it was a huge comfy living room with friendly people. Skip the KOA and stay here!!! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

I agree with a previous poster that said this was a good alternative to dry camping in Glacier NP. It is only a 5-minute drive to Apgar Visitor Center. This is a quiet, wooded campground that has RV sites as well as tents and cabins. The sites are spacious, easy to get into, with some privacy of foliage between sites. Our site took one leveling block. Our water/electric site worked fine. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Our aircard and cell phone worked fine at our site, the furthest from the office at the top of the hill. They said their Wi-Fi works only at the office; I never tried it. The restrooms, showers, and laundry room are somewhat old, but were fairly clean and worked fine. The office staff was helpful and nice. There is a playground for kids. We used the dump station on the way out and it worked fine. The rate, which I thought was reasonable for what you get, is with a 10% Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are here right on - on the internet from our beautifully wooded site (f10). When we read the previous reviews we almost wrote this place off but thankfully pulled in to check it out b/c the other parks in West Glacier were so costly. The family who owns the place are lovely - they went out of their way to be helpful. Since it is the end of season and they aren't packed they let us drive around and choose the site right for us. When we picked one the Father said "before you pull in checkout F10" and he was right - it is even better. They advertise this place as "Camping like it used to be" and that is so right on. This place is massive with large spots, lots of privacy, tall trees, thick woods - like campground I recall in the 1970's. As for the complaints about the Wi-Fi - I am on it right now from my spot, just uploaded trip photos too. Great connection. Next time we are back to explore Glacier Nat'l Park we are looking forward to staying here. Can't hear a road right now - wow. Camped in 47 states and 7 Canadian Provinces in the last 4 years - wish there were places like this everywhere. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is on Route 2, one mile from the national park entrance, and is a nice alternative to dry camping at the national park. We needed electric for the AC as it was warm in late August. The campground is located in the woods on a relatively steep hillside. Sites are well spaced, except that most seemed to be in relatively close pairs with good space between the pairs. The facility advertises "camping like it used to be" and this is a fairly good description. Most sites were short and not at all level, better for tenting than RVs. At the top of the park were some large (i.e., deep) sites for larger rigs. Most sites are back-in; we had a pull-through which was a wide spot in the gravel road. Sites are all gravel. Power was good and steady. Verizon air card and Tracfone both worked well. Lots of shade from the woods. Park is a Good Sam park and price shown reflected a 10% discount for electric service only. Park was generally quiet with no road noise. Whistles from frequent trains can be heard in the park. There is a rustic BBQ restaurant on site with delicious ribs. We stayed for 5 nights and would stay again when visiting Glacier National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are wooded and a respectable distance from one another. Bathrooms were fairly clean and well maintained. Staff in the office were very friendly and helpful, spending a great deal of time with us discussing "can't miss" sights. Only major beef I have is that there was a pile of debris right in the middle of the campsite and the site itself wasn't level. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

I was prepared to love this campground. The grounds are beautiful and lush, the owners (the older couple) were really nice when I checked in, and it was in a great location. However, despite the fact that Wi-Fi is promoted on the website, after we checked in and paid, we found out it's only available in the office area. There's a lounge for guests to sit and use their laptops. This was a bummer, as I need internet access to work from the road. So my husband and I figured we'd just camp out in the lounge for a bit while I did my work. We took our five-pound, hypo-allergenic (i.e. non-shedding) SERVICE DOG with us and went to settle in by the fire with our computers. As we entered the office, some young guy who worked here, forbade us to come in with our little dog. Fair, there was a "no dogs" sign on the office door, but there were three massive dogs lounging inside where the guests were to hang out. I'm a dog lover, and was fine with this. They were really sweet, gentle dogs: but don't allow your huge dogs to lounge around in the communal space and prohibit my tiny, well-trained dog. And then give me attitude about it. Besides, she's a registered SERVICE ANIMAL, as her ID clearly stated. The guy was pretty rude about it. Plus the whole Internet issue was a total pain. So while we had planned on staying multiple nights, the whole scenario rubbed us the wrong way. We left after one day and went to another park, with an awesome site, instead. At least the prices were decent: $28 for water and electric. They offer AAA and Good Sam discounts. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier Campground is a real good site just outside of the West entrance to Glacier park. The management seemed very nice and helpful. They display an easy going, friendly attitude. The prices were reasonable and the campground is clean, but somewhat dated. The showers were hot and appreciated. We stayed a week with them and would go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground very close to the entrance of the park. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites were wooded, and beautiful. We had nothing but forest behind us with a well placed fire pit area. We stayed here 5 days, and spent most of our days at the park, perfect for this. We would definitely go back. When we first pulled into this campground I thought we had been had. The initial impression is not very favorable. The site we were placed in was so sloped that we had to drop the nose of the camper on the ground to get anywhere close to level. They had thirty Boy Scouts across the road in tents on one side and a 'permanent' kind of truck camper on the other. The electric and water hookup was even on the wrong side of site! Fortunately our power and water lines just reached it. Not the situation you want to encounter after a long day of driving. However, after staying here for a couple of nights, the place really grew on us and became one of our favorites. All the sites are very private and heavily wooded, and there was a great open air, casual grill near the main building. This is an older campground and has kept a very comfortable feel. It's a bit of a chore to setup but we were charmed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pros: right outside the entrance to Glacier, heavily wooded, private sites, very comfortable fee. Cons: old, kind of scruffy and the sites are small Tip: avoid eating at the tacky restaurant/gift shop just south of the campground. Some diners have great food at good prices. This one has neither. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We found this campground to be less than what we expected. Everything in the previous reviews is right, and although it has the feel of a national forest it's also very busy. There is a restaurant in the campground with lots of coming and going. The only access to the Wi-Fi is in the lounge by the office. If you're camped at the top of the hill it's a long walk down. There are only 2 bath houses and several times we had to wait since most campers did not follow the 10-minute shower sign. There are sites for big rigs but some are narrow and difficult to get in. The staff is great: very friendly and helpful but we never felt "at home" and would not choose to stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Come one, come all. Everyone welcome. From grassy spots for bicyclists to sites for large motorhomes, there is room for all. Family run with a large relaxed living area including a woodstove in the center, WiFi reception there only, seating must be negotiated with owners' friendly dogs. Dump station, propane, free movie rentals and pick up spot for The Going to the Sun Road red busses. Well forested, shady, private sites. 30 amp service maximum. Showers available for walk ins for a nominal fee. Cafe on site open a couple of nights a week. If you like to feel part of a congenial family this is the spot for you. I hated to leave and will definitely return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very wooded campground and the next best thing to camping in the national park. There are no sewer hookups, but they do have a pump out service. The restrooms are scarce considering the number of spaces and quite far from many of the sites. The sites could be tricky for larger rigs. The location is great. We stayed a week and would stay again but did try to scope out which sites we could more easily get our 38 footer into. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If you're looking for a concrete parking lot, you may want to try somewhere else, if you like trees, this is your place. This place is in the woods and more like camping in a National Forest, it does have water and electric, but no sewer hook-ups, but it does have a dump station & a pump truck available, sites are a little on the short side for the big rigs, but our 30 ft. class C / with toad fit just fine. The showers and bathrooms were clean, but need more of them. The owners were friendly & helpful, & we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love this campground. It is heavily wooded and the sites are a nice size with lots of privacy. It is very much like a typical state park. They offer a Good Sam discount or 1 free night with the purchase of 6 nights. It is hilly and backing into some of the sites with a big rig might require some finesse. It is very close to the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. We would come back here the next time we are in the area. WiFi is available near the front office, but not in the further sites. If you are looking for a football field-type campground with cable TV, on-site WiFi and swimming pool go elsewhere. If you want to feel like you are camping in Glacier NP, come here! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Glacier National Park. It is close to everything and very quiet and clean. The park is in the middle of the woods and creates the mood of being in days past. Cajun Mary's restaurant on the premises is great fun and great food. We will stay here again if we ever get the chance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Restrooms were immaculate and so were the showers. Campsites are level. Playground for children is safe. Restaurant on site is surprisingly very good. Wild berries throughout campground. Aesthetically pleasing. Strict fire management. Campground is neat and tidy and one gets the sense that owners are actively involved in management. People we spoke with were also impressed, with many of them being return guests. Negative: So large must drive to front desk from site, which is most likely at a different elevation. However, restrooms and showers are generally close from all directions. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

The only redeeming feature of this park is the privacy at each and the privacy is OK *only* if you like camping is dense, dark, scrubby third-growth pine trees. The water pressure is so bad as to be unusable and the bathrooms were in need of attention (flooding toilets and mold on the wood around the showers). This is cheap, rustic camping -- OK if you like it but not if you prefer a few basic amenities like full hookups, clean facilities and reasonable water pressure. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the most beautiful campground. Very close to West Glacier enterance. The only
thing they could do to improve this campground is to put sewer hookups at the sites but they do have a dump station and a portable dump.The employees treat
you like kings. Will stay here when ever we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this park delightful. The sites are in the trees and as others have said, many are gravel or grass and a few are quite narrow. We have never before seen pastel painted picnic tables, and we never expect to again. We asked for W/E only and were placed in a grassy site near the office. The road noise is definitely a factor during the day, but we were not bothered by it at night. The owners also operate a B&B and offer a great breakfast every day: wonderful baked goods, no preservatives, and a camp fire each night. We didn't miss the TV as our Wi-Fi coverage was superb. There is a phone booth on the property. I didn't check to see if it worked, but assume it does. There is a playground area for children though there were not many children here when we were here as it was after Labor Day. The owners were very helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here. We would most definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed 10 days in site #25, huge, fairly level, paved, satellite friendly site. Most sites have mature trees and may not be satellite friendly; however the area behind office is a large field and probably satellite friendly. Dog friendly, but no fenced area. Excellent Verizon 3G data and voice. Laundry very clean. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast excellent and good value. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an excellent park and if you can survive all the cakes and pies made in the office you will love the rest of the park. The staff is very accommodating and the evening bonfires allow you to socialize with the other campers and staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were fortunate to have a paved/level site; others in the CG did not have either of these two items. Also, we had convenient hookups, but others in the CG did not. This RV Park is family owned and operated; the camp staff is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived without a reservation and were assigned a back-in RV site with plenty of room for our 5th wheel trailer and pick-up truck. The RV Park is located in a densely forested area and almost all of the sites have a lot of shade. The RV Park has well maintained paved access roads and most camp sites are gravel or grass. Several sites are big rig accessible with very long pull through sites and plenty of room to turn. Most sites are approximately 20 feet wide however at some sites, trees may prevent slide outs from opening completely. Most sites are not level but with a full set of leveling blocks and some leveling skill it was not a problem. Electric (50 amp) and water hook-ups were convenient and the water pressure was very good. The sewer hook-up was at the very back / center of the site which made hooking-up impossible. The sewer connection was positioned so that it ended-up under our trailer. Our site had its own trash can. Camp fires are not allowed at individual campsites but a large, attractive community fire pit with firewood is located near the park entrance. Men’s and women’s bathrooms had three showers and two sinks. The handicap accessible bathroom has a toilet, bathtub and shower. All were very clean. The laundry room includes four washing machines and three dryers and all machines were in very good condition. The camp restaurant offers an excellent breakfast, homemade baked goods and BBQ items. The camp store offers locally made souvenirs. There is a very nice playground near the park entrance. The RV Park is approximately 150 feet from Highway 2 and there is a lot of noise from passing vehicles. This RV Park is approximately 2.5 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park, which is very popular, and reservations are highly recommended. Verizon 3G cell signal was good with three bars. We paid $43.50 for one night and the RV Park does not give any discounts. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 12 nights: very convenient for seeing the beauty of West Glacier area. A variety of sites for all rigs from large coaches to the smallest tent. Wi-Fi strong, we were able to hit satellite for DirecTV, but many sites wouldn't work. Choose carefully if you want some satellite TV while here. Would come back if returning to West Glacier. We stayed here for two weeks. Very close to Glacier NP and we even took a day trip to Waterton Park in Alberta. This is a clean park and we observed maintenance going on on a daily basis. Lots of grass and large play areas for kids. They even have a nightly bonfire for the residents. The restaurant is more of a home atmosphere and the baked goods are special. This is a quaint park cut out of the woods and is as close to Glacier NP as you can get. It’s very clean and well maintained with a lot of nice amenities except for cable. However, you can pull in the major channels over the air. The Wi-Fi is very good. The office\restaurant is like going to grandmas for a meal. The one caveat that some sites are paved, some are partially paved, and some are not paved at all. If you’re not on a paved site, you’ll end up with a lot of pine needles in your rig so you may want to ask for a paved one if that’s important to you. This is a delightful place to camp as you are in the woods. We had full hook-ups with 50 amp service. They serve breakfast and have a fire pit that everyone can use. The only reason I gave it a 6 is that the road noise (motorcycles, cars, and trucks) in the site where we were at night is loud. They also have train noise at night. We also asked if we could extend our stay 2 days and were told we would have to move. No problem--we checked on it today and the spot was not available after all. They do not use computers or even a book--rather they have a tag system that they put on hooks and someone put one on a wrong hook. So we had to leave an go to another place down the road. I would stay here again if I could be further from the road, and if I was confirmed for the days I needed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice, clean campground with paved interior roads and some paved sites. There is reasonable spacing between the sites with full hook-ups, and there are lots of trees. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their pies and baked goods are well known in the area. We stayed 9 days, before and after Labor Day. The staff was very friendly, park was clean, wifi worked well, great paved sites with tall mature trees. Breakfasts were excellent, and the owner/cook/office person asks us what we wanted the next morning so she could buy in advance. A limited menu but excellent breakfast. Group campfire at night, nice way to meet fellow campers and find out things to do the next day. We were traveling with another couple so the owner put us in a double site where our doors faced each other. Room for our 42 ft, jeep and friends class C. This is an older facility with large trees and smaller sites from earlier times. The site was well maintained and the management was helpful and friendly. We were warned of bears in the campground on two occasions, as the manager went door to door to make everyone aware. There is a B&B associated with the RV park, so our non-camping friends could join us. Breakfast was good, and the pies baked onsite were wonderful. There was a nightly campfire at which we could meet other campers. I will certainly return here if I am ever in the area again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We love our site,#38. At the end of the road & in the trees. Level part of site is to the rear, but long enough to level a 40 RV. Plenty of width for 4 slide, awning & nice picnic area. I was a little surprised by the previous review. This is a nice woodsy area with lots of space between sites. We couldn't get any TV reception, but we had good Wi-Fi. We walked our dogs throughout the park with no complaints. Actually, I thought everyone was very hospitable. Yes $42 is expensive but when you consider the fact that their season is only 3-1/2 months long it is not so bad. Yes the CG is close to the highway, but if you ask for an inner camp site (30s) it will not bother you so much. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rules, rules, rules. No campfires, dogwalk out on the highway, can't walk your dog in the park, sign says to turn off your A/C when out for the day. Typical mom & pop operation. Very close to highway on the South side with considerable noise. Some interior roads and sites are paved some are dirt. Mostly pull throughs. No Wi-Fi, no TV. You can get 3 or 4 TV stations over the air. Most sites are very wooded and not likely to get satellite TV. There is a small bakery and breakfast available in the office. Pull through sites are between the trees and some back in sites are fully in the trees. We'd give this place a ten but the highway noise is noticeable, I'll take half a star off for that. They have home-baked pies and scones, some with the local huckleberry. Yum! Each pull-through site is paved, almost level, but a little narrow; so plan your parking for your slides. We were able to put out a slide on one side and the awning on the other OK. The only other park with more trees than this is at Coulter Bay in the Tetons. Beautiful! We highly recommend this park, and it's about $12 a night cheaper than the KOA across the road. If you are headed east on US 2, watch carefully for their sign as trees hide half of it. They do have a more visible "300 feet ahead" sign on the left. If you pass the Lake Five Road turn, or the KOA sign, you've missed this park but the shoulder ahead is wide enough to wait for a U-turn. Or U-turn at the KOA entrance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park had great reviews and influenced us to stay here. In hindsight, I would have paid an additional $12 a night for a comparable site at the KOA down the street. The KOA has a pool, and sunny sites. This park does not have cable TV. There are a lot of tall pine trees that block satellite reception if your dish is on top of your RV. The showers, although very clean are so small that you can’t move in them. They cater to transients, not people who book for a week or more. Our neighbors were here for two weeks and they put them on a long pull through near the highway. You hear traffic noise and a train occasionally. Ask for the back sites if you decide to camp here since those sites are paved. The positives are that they are close to the west entrance of Glacier NP, make homemade pies on the premises, Verizon cell phone and wireless internet worked fine, and the staff is friendly and informative. We checked in on the 10th of July, having reserved for three nights, extended to a week. We met up with a relative as planned, and the owner gave us a side by side site, which was great. Our site was blacktopped and level. Laundry was clean, reasonably priced. There was a single evening campfire, which I prefer over individual ones. There was some highway noise. Owner well known for her homemade pies, and breakfast was available. Each roomy site had its own trash container which was emptied frequently. Staff was owner's family, very nice ladies. Best features were lots of trees, so many I don't think Dish/Direct would work. Wi-Fi was very good. And, it was only about two miles from the entrance to Glacier, with several touristy shops and restaurants along the way. If you need a pool, etc., for you or your kids, there was a KOA across the way that ran roughly ten dollars more per day. Good mix of tenters to six figure rigs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We enjoyed our stay at this park. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our site in the row closest to the highway was huge. There was some highway noise, but not a lot of traffic at night. On occasion we could here the whistle from a train passing through the valley. Sites further from the highway were narrower. The free WiFi was adequate most of the time. Over the air TV was limited to 4-5 Spokane stations from a local analog repeater. Satellite reception was a challenge or non-existant due to the forested nature of most of the sites, we used 100 ft of cable to get a clear line of sight for Direct TV. There are a few unshaded sites in a field behind the office. Washers were $2.25, but the driers were only $.25 for ten minutes. We stayed here six days and would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

An outstanding base camp to see Glacier National Park. We initially planned to stay here just 3 nights but we liked the camp so well that we extended to a full week. This is a family-owned campground and the staff is terrifically attentive and friendly. Very large sites, many paved or with cement pads for your wheels. Campground is thickly treed throughout. There's a B&B on-site and campers are welcome for breakfast at the restaurant. As several others have mentioned, they make great pies and desserts. Also, if you're on a gluten-free diet, Chef Sandy will whip up excellent gluten-free goodies -- ask her for her wonderful gluten-free shortbread cookies. We loved our stay here and will definitely come again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We chose this park due to good reviews and close proximity to Glacier National Park, since it is only 3 miles away. Staff was very efficient and check-in was quick. The owner gave me a complete lecture on touring Glacier, complete with map and a photo board showing each place I was to see. The owners and staff of this campground are very pleasant. This park has been owned by the same folks for the past 45 years and is well laid out. We had a site up front due to our late booking and accepting a back in site as the pull through s apparently were all booked. (Many seemed to remain empty much of our week here). Next time we would prefer a pull through as they are in the woods and feel much more like the Montana experience we were looking for. Very convenient to the Glacier Park entrance. Lots of traffic noise through much of the park but it does quiet down after 10 pm. Nightly public campfire can be fun, was well attended during high season, not so much after the season starts to drop off in mid August. We stayed a week and would consider staying here again. We enjoyed our stay here, our site was level asphalt, with full hookups, all in good working order. Staff was helpful in a laid-back kind of way, not the fastest, but friendly and knowledgeable. It is a great base camp to visit Glacier NP, only 3 miles to the park gate. Our site was near the road, there was noticeable road noise, but we were out all day and the traffic wasn't a nighttime factor. Our site was wooded, but easy access with large motorhome. Like all parks, this one has both good and bad. The pluses: the staff is very friendly and helpful; the spaces are wide, usually with trees between you and your neighbor; they have a group campfire most nights; they serve breakfast and home-made pies; it's very close to West Glacier; that's it. The negatives: there is no community room or activity center; no pool or spa; if you're near the highway the sites are extremely noisy; the showers are even smaller than the shower in our motorhome (but the water is hot); some sites (but only some) are VERY unlevel; wi-fi is $2/day (Verizon is strong); if you have water/electric only they charge $5 to dump. We chose this campground based on previous reviews concerning its friendly staff. The fact that it is only about 3 miles from the west entrance to Glacier Park made it convenient, too. The campsites are nice and wooded, some are dirt and some have blacktop pads. We initially were assigned a larger dirt site and we couldn't level our 40 foot rig (3 wheels off the ground), but the staff was quick to accommodate us with another site which worked well. The campsite is close to the road and you can hear road noise most of the day. At check-in, there was one person working and the process was very slow. While we waited some time to be helped, the only worker left the desk and slowly walked the person before us to their campsite. Some may see this as very personal service, but when there are several people waiting to be checked in it loses its charm. Once we were helped, there was no information offered to us concerning camp rules and regulations. We are traveling with a puppy, so we noticed a posted sign that the dog walk area was along the highway. When I passed the playground area on the way to the dog walk area, the pup decided to squat right then. I quickly picked it up, when a staff person stepped out of the office to yell across the yard at me. I apologized, explaining that I was headed to the dog walk area. She continued to be belligerent and headed back into the office shouting insults to me. In the 10 months we have been on the road, I have never been treated so rudely. It is true that they have cinnamon rolls and serve up breakfast and have homemade pies available for purchase, but the "hospitality" does not carry through to all the staff. Unfortunately, that row is adjacent to the highway and, even though there is a tree buffer, road noise was constant during the day; that is our only negative. It did die out after dusk. The free Wi-Fi was very good, the office serves breakfast and fresh baked buns & pies. Verizon worked well. The park is just a few miles from the west entrance to Glacier NP and normal priced grocery shopping is available 7 miles away in Hungry Horse. We would stay here again to see sights on the southwest side; however, I would look for another location to see the sights on the east side such as the Many Glacier area of the Park. Stayed 3 nights while exploring Glacier Nat'l Pk, which is only 3 miles away. It's in the woods, so no satellite TV (or cable or over-the-air) signal, although we saw our neighbor had run a cable over 100 ft to edge of the hwy to get one! Yes, the hwy is close, but was pretty quiet overnight between 10 and 6. Wi-Fi worked well though, so we got our weather forecasts that way. The first impression is good... like going to Grandma's because of the baking aromas and antiques around the office/kitchen/gift store. Hot breakfasts can be had in the kitchen each a.m. Staff was very helpful with recommendations about Glacier. They also host a campfire gathering each p.m. from 7-10 if weather permits. Verizon cell worked well here, as did all hook-ups. Water pressure was HIGH, so use a regulator. There was a nice walk along a sparsely traveled road behind the park, which led to a small lake less than a mile away. We're glad we came. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We chose this park from the many in the area based on RVparkreviews. It wasn't the fanciest place we've ever stayed, but it was one of the friendliest and most comfortable ones. The evening campfires were fun when they weren't rained out, and several kids played badminton nearby. The road noise wasn't bad, at least in our site. Owner seems to always be in the kitchen. The cinnamon rolls knocked us off our diet and then she baked hubby a coconut cream pie to die for. We would definitely return since we didn't want to leave in the first place. This is a very nice park, easy to maneuver in & out. Management very friendly & helpful. I love the woodsy feel of the campsite; we felt like we were by ourselves in the woods. It's quiet; you can hear the highway, but not an issue for us. Some sites were dirt & some paved. They had a volleyball net set up, I noticed, & one other toy for kids-no playground that I noticed. The wi-fi was the best connectivity we have had so far. The office also served food & had food you could buy out of coolers. Office had very homey feeling. A very nice RV Park. The sites are clean and for the most part level. If you have a big rig you will probably be placed on a site that is not quite level but that is easy to cure with some jacks. There are tall pines at each site so don't plan on getting satellite reception. Antenna works OK, but you only have one or two channels. Wi-fi works good and is not hard to connect. Staff very friendly and offers a variety of camp type services i.e. breakfast, hot rolls and a host of other goodies. A great place to visit Glacier from. Hard to see when approaching because of large trees blocking the entry sign. Host has published good GPS coordinates, so use the them. Easy access for motorhomes & 5th wheels. Sites are wide and well spaced and there are many trees - it has a forest feel. The location is close to West Glacier and it makes a good base for visiting the park. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The kids really enjoyed playing on the swings, and with the sports equipment every night. The communal campfire was fun and we learned a lot of the history of the area from the owners. The free wi-fi worked well. There is some road noise but you can request a site further away from the road if that is a concern. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground. Tall trees, very long pull thrus, level, adequate space between sites. Sites are tiered with mainly trees and shrubs between. Trash cans at each site. Bathrooms older but clean with small showers. No cable tv and were only able to pick up 3 stations with antenna. Wifi was very good and we were not that close to office. Staff was friendly and helpful with info on what to see and do. We were too early for the community campfires and pie. Some road noise. Laundry was expensive. We stayed here for 7 nights. The staff was very friendly and informative. The sites are well laid out and easy to get into. Some sites are paved and some are dirt. Sites are quite level too. There are two entrances from the main road and one from the road that runs across the back side of the park, making it convenient to enter. With more than one entrance you don't have to drive through the whole park to get to your site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We would stay here again, but this is a strange park. The lay-out is confusing and there is little signage to indicate driving flow. Most sites are pull throughs and will accommodate big rigs. A real mixed bag of utilities available and every site has a different colored picnic table. Some site have four sewer connections and power pedestals on both sides of the site, which helps when you have no idea which way to pull into a site from the illogical road layout. Very friendly folks running the place and the nightly community campfire is fun. Laundry room was spotless, with excellent machines and lots of reading material for while you wait. Proximity to Glacier Park is a plus. Road and train noise is present, but not invasive unless you are particularly sensitive to noise. It would be difficult to get ANY park in this region that doesn't get some train noise as it is an active railroad corridor. Road noise is considerably reduced in the evenings. The management of this park will bake you a pie, but we didn't take them up on that offer. We do reccomend a visit to the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse (a few miles west of the park) for famous huckleberry pie. It was indeed the best pie I've ever eaten. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We ditto what has already been said. We had a pull thru that was paved and somewhat level(small shim). Nice big tall pines for shade. The folks here are very homey and nice. Lots of antiques and stuff in their store/office. Utilities great and water taste good. We like the plusher resort type parks, which this is not, but a great feel and rustic, but all our needs met. Train and hiway noise, but it didn't bother us. Several local TV stations. WiFi was good mosts of the time. Had to have them reboot once in our 4 days. I would recommend this park! This is a wonderful little park just outside the main entrance to Glacier National Park. Heavily wooded. Sites are paved and level. 20/30/50, water, sewer. No cable TV although we were able to pick up a few local stations with our bat wing antenna. Campground hosts are wonderful. They have a campfire every evening. They have a small restaurant where you can purchase home made pies all day and breakfast in the morning. Only drawback is the campground's proximity to Hwy 2 which has heavy traffic during the day which creates some noise; but, as another reviewer commented, the traffic reduces substantially at night. We didn’t notice the noise. Restrooms were clean with plenty of hot water in the small telephone booth sized shower. Recently improved their wifi. It worked great at our spot but we were in one of the spots closest to the office. The further back you go the more difficult will be reception. Good laundry facilities. They even had pet sitting services for our dogs. The Google earth coordinates are: Latitude: 48̊27'46.42"N Longitude: 114̊ 0'10.97"W. We arrived here intending to stay just a couple of days. Ended up staying over a week. Beautiful national park and great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this campground!!! It was beautiful, quiet, and was as close to feeling like you are in the park as you can get. The campground has wonderful trees throughout and feels very secluded. There were not that many people staying at the park when we were there so we had our choice of spots (the area is deserted in early June). Although the campground sits right off of US Highway 2, there is no road noise at night once the traffic dies down. It was the quietest and darkest campground we have ever stayed in - I loved it! The bathrooms were sparkling clean. There is one private bathroom that even has a bathtub in it. The water was hot, and the pressure was wonderful. The laundry room was good as well. It has four or five washers and two huge dryers. Prices are typical - $2.25 for the washer and $0.25 for fifteen minutes for the dryer. We were too early in the season for the nightly campfires, but we did try the owner's homemade cinnamon rolls and rhubarb pie which were excellent! We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly owners and a clean rv park. We had site#25 which along with some other large sites are fully paved and plenty large enough for our 41ft. Some smaller sites are just on earth. We enjoy the semi-seclusion that the lodge pole pines provide. There are only 3 TV stations that are received on your antenna. No satellite or cable. There is a play area for children. So far I've resisted the pies! We stayed three nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park in the trees which we appreciated because it was 87 degrees when we were here. We were told it was unseasonable hot for this time of year. The owners were friendly and helpful and didn't require a credit card until you checked out! How unheard of is that!! It is right on the road which could be an issue for noise. The worst thing about this place are the mosquitos. They are terrible!! So if you don't want to get bit, don't even come to Glacier Park. They are really bad everywhere. But because the people here are so nice, I would stay here again. The wifi is currently not working at all spaces in the park, but is at this one because I asked for a spot where it did. Owner said the winter knocked it down and she has to get on the ladder to fix it. But this spot, #10, works just fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent service at check-in. Turns a little tight for BIG rig - we are in a 45' motorhome pulling 24' trailer. We were in a 30/50 amp super site which was long enough for our rig and wide enough for 30" slides on each side. Only problem is the location of the sewer outlets - way too far from center of site. Would strongly recommend the patio sites, which have two sewer outlets and are much better located, marvelously equipped, beautifully landscaped.. The grounds are immaculate; beautiful trees, lush grass. Dog walk area with dogibags is well kept. Our one negative - we were here for Memorial weekend and the park had many families. The staff apparently did not walk the park after dark or they would have noticed, and hopefully curtailed, the screaming and playing activities of many of the children long after the quiet hour had begun. Bright side, most families left on Memorial Day and it has been blissfully quiet. (Yes, we have grandchildren, but I assure you they wouldn't have been disrupting the park if here.) Extremely close to Glacier National Park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very well maintained campground. Friendly and helpful at check in. Road and pad are gravel. Level pull through, but only just long enough for our 40 foot motor home and towed, big rig access is good. Very quiet, lots of space and privacy around the RV with wonderful views of the mountains. We had a premium site that had a concrete patio, lovely landscaping that gave you privacy, a barbecue, fire pit, wooden seats and lovely patio furniture. The whole campground has plenty of shade trees and grass. The laundry is large, spotless and well equipped. The bathrooms are just okay and the showers needed a good clean. There is a dog walk area with pick up bags, and plenty of other places to walk in the campground, but you do have to watch for the pine sap that can be very sticky on your dogs feet. Wi-Fi and cell are good. There is a game room, pool and small cafe that serves breakfast and dinner in season. This is a seasonal campground and is only open from May 1st to September 31st. We would stay here again. Our rate reflects a special deal, stay 2 nights and get one free. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Absolutely LOVED this CG! Restrooms and showers were spotless. The site was wide, and included a gas BBQ grill, large table and chairs and umbrella , grassy area, and fire pit and benches. Short walk to restrooms and laundry. The restaurant was closed as we were late in the season, but the store was well stocked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And surprisingly the TV reception was very good. The Wi-Fi was hit and miss, but allowed us to check emails. Very pet friendly - many RVers with dogs, no problems. As an added bonus, it was stay 2 nights, 3rd one free. Yeah! Would return again for a longer stay! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground with many amenities. Our site was good sized with nice green grass on either side of the RV. People are friendly. It is located very close to the west glacier entrance. This place has everything you could ask for. Extremely friendly customer service, great sites, a well appointed store on site, a restaurant (BBQ style). Extra nice playground, clean heated pool with hot tub. Can't say enough about it. In the top 5 of all the campgrounds we have ever stayed at. How do you run a successful business and at the same time keep your customers (campers) happy ? Just do what the West Glacier campground does ! Close to the national park, of course, but there are 3 great places close by: Columbia Falls, Kalispell, & Whitefish as well as a bunch of other really cool small towns. Among the things to do are helicopter tours, the Amazing Fun Center mini amusement park (tons of fun), and boat rentals in Whitefish. If you like antiques you will also like it around here. I could go on, but just come here and have a great time. As they say "come get lost...in Montana". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Entrance can get a little confusing as no entrance or exit signs so you may be coming in while people are going out. The park was well off the main road with a big checkin area. Our big rig fit into our spot. The park was well kept for a KOA with lots of families and some noise, but not excessive. A campground host came around twice to make sure all was well. We did report very poor WiFi service, which never improved while we were there. Our rig was too big to pull out through the pull-through, but we easily backed out. We would return due to the park's convenience to Glacier National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a typical KOA with a swimming pool mainly filled with children, an open air building that serves breakfast and dinner, and ice cream store open in the evening, slide shows on the wildlife, a nice gift shop and small store. The sites are gravel and level. Each site has a cement patio and fire pit. The sites are separated by grass. It is very quiet. The people that work here are very frienly and helpful. It is close to the entrance to West Glacier. We would stay here again and will recommend it to others. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If visiting Glacier National Park this area is ideal for your visit. This KOA is 3 miles from the park entrance. In general this is a great campground. Sites are well designed and maintained. Sites are even spruced up after a guest vacates. One of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. During our visit, a hostess comes around checking on our visit and will deliver fire wood and ice. The only downside of this campground is the check in desk. Personnel could use a course on how to be helpful and courtliness. Twice, when doing business at the desk, minutes of time went by while I looked at them busily doing work. They would not even look us and say, hello will be with you soon. My presence was just ignored. After checking in and paying I had to ask for directions to my site. I was treated like I should have known how to go through the park. About a third of the time the Wi-Fi did not connect to the internet. You connect to the server but the server never connects to the internet. As nice as this campground is, I’m not sure we would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We visit the Glacier area once yearly and like to stay in this RV park for a number of reasons. The maintenance of the park is above standard and the spaces are large. All grounds are maintained during the season, and they manage to do this will a full park. The upgrades done at this park over the past 2 years fax exceed any park we have visited. This is our second visit to this KOA and it is still a great park with lots of grass trees and plenty of room between sites. We originally chose one of the full hookup sites, but when we arrived and looked at the premium sites for $83 we decided to upgrade. They are expensive but are huge, with large bbq, firepit, upgraded table, chairs and umbrella. I know that none of the other parks in the area have cable TV, and there is no cable at this KOA; however, we did not come to Glacier NP to watch TV. Showers, laundry, etc., are all clean and this is just a great camping experience. Very close to the NP. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest KOA we have ever stayed at. The price listed is for a premium site, but it was very nicely appointed. Large concrete patios, 6 seat free standing table with padded chairs, and a large propane grill with propane side burner. A separate area with a fire pit surrounded with new wood benches. The landscaping around the site was first class. Plants in raised berms with wood chip ground cover, and new manicured green grass finished off the area. The parking site and roads were new thick gravel and not dusty at all. The other side of the park, probably the older side the gravel was thinner, but we never saw a dust problem, and we were there on a holiday weekend. The only thing that would have made this park a "10" for me would have been paved roads and pads. I did note that the water pressure was on the low side, #30 to #40 pounds at the inlet to the rig and it would drop lower at active times (morning shower). Although we did not use them, there are also several new camping cabins that looked very well appointed and were very popular. The last amenity that I would have like to have seen is a fenced off leash dog yard. There was plenty of space for it, and it would have made the stay for fido that much better. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here last year. This year we were given a site where we could not get roof top satellite, the pad was narrow, there was a big puddle of water which we would have needed to park in, and could not get out our door without stepping into a bush. I called the office from the assigned site and was given a choice of 2 other sites. We took the first one we looked at and everything was fine. A thunder storm came through the first night we were here and the tree at the originally assigned site had multiple small branches which had come down and would have landed on our motorhome. I agree with the high laundry price: $4 per load to wash and dry. That was the most expensive we have ever paid. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here in one of the premium sites. These sites have concrete patios, tiled tables with large umbrellas, patio chairs with cushions, a private stainless grill, and wooden benches around the fire ring. Each site is landscaped with flowers, shrubs, and lush grass. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Campground is off the road, very quiet, and incredibly well run. Activities for children are numerous, with a cafe on site and ice cream at night. Wildlife lectures also at night. Other sites with less amenities were spotless, and most sites had plenty of room. This is a little bit of an odd review, because I actually only stayed at this KOA about 15 minutes, but the staff was so accommodating that I wanted to tell about my experience. I had made a reservation here as part of a big batch of reservations and in the confusion, I must have fouled up the dates I was asking for. I arrived dead-tired after a 13-hour drive on what I thought was the right day, only to find out that my reservation was actually for the NEXT day. They had no open sites that I could fit into and I assumed I was stuck without a campsite for the night. But instead of just shrugging as most would do, the clerk hopped on the phone and found me a great site at a competing campground just across the road. The next morning, I checked out of the other campground and went back to the KOA, paying for 5 nights of camping. But when I got to my assigned site, I found it was too short for my truck + trailer. I reported back to the office, but there weren't any other sites that would work. I felt like a heel, given the nice treatment I had gotten the night before, but I had to tell them that I thought I would be better off returning to the other campground. I offered to pay for one night's stay, hoping that they would refund the other 4 nights, but they insisted on refunding the entire 5 nights worth. I really appreciate the good treatment that I got at this campground and I'll certainly consider them the next time I'm in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Was here last year and have nothing to add to that review. This is a nice park, close to Glacier National Park entrance. Review is rated 7 because there are no concrete pads, patios, cable TV, and the laundry was the most expensive on my 3 week trip. Was travelling with a rally group, supposed to have all sites together. They gave two of our reserved sites to other people (reserved months in advance). If you are having a rally make sure you tell them not to split your group. Otherwise good park for base camp and touring the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

West Glacier KOA was set away from the highway and very quiet which was key for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tubs were great and the campground's close proximity to the park entrance made our day trips easy. The laundry facilities were clean, modern and reasonably priced. The sites are very close together so privacy is minimal and the width of most pull thru sites was narrow making it tricky to position rigs so awnings and slide outs didn't hit tree trunks. Even with these inconveniences we will be back to enjoy all the other amenities and more adventures in West Glacier. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A large park with all the luxuries, fabulous hot tubs and great pool, for instance. Amazing views from the park and the location is great. Only two complaints, first was that our site had railroad tie edging on the narrow driveway, so that one had to back in with extreme precision and that isn't so easy with a big fifth wheel! Our second complaint is more serious. We were there for a holiday weekend and when I tried to call management to report loud drunks in the next site, I couldn't reach anyone. With the park so full, they should have been on site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Conveniently located outside Glacier National Park and a short drive to Whitefish. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There is a nice outdoor breakfast and dinner restaurant. The restrooms and showers are very clean. They have a very nice gift shop and ice cream shop. The sites are level with picnic tables. A tour bus of the park will pick up at the campsite. Activities for children as well as a nice size pool. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great campground just a few miles from the start of the Going To The Sun Road. Tucked back off the highway, nice, quiet and a great view. The store is awesome as was the laundry. The bathrooms were clean and large. Good selection of heavily wooded and open camp sites. Our site was nice and level. Great place! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was by far the nicest KOA we have stayed in. We were fortunate to have a premium RV site which had just been completed. Nice spacious, level compacted gravel pads, manicured lawn surrounding each site and a wonderful view. However, not all of the RV sites are up to the standard of the premium sites as some pads are not level and some are tighter than the premium ones. My only complaint about this RV park was that the price for extra persons was 6.50 without the KOA discount which is the highest we've ever had to pay. Wi-Fi worked OK, but we couldn't get it at the RV. They had a very nice laundry room with many washers and dryers. Camp workers were helpful and friendly. This would have been a solid ten in my book had they had cable TV, but with the beautiful surroundings such as this who needs it! The price we paid included the 10% discount for a KOA member. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground with long, level, pull-thru big rig sites located in the meadow. There are also some sites in the trees. The roads and campground are well maintained with grass between the sites. The park is off the highway via a paved road so it is quiet. We would have given it a 10 except for the expensive price and no cable TV. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice park to make your base camp, couple miles from the entrance to the Glacier Park. Nice pool, beautiful scenery, friendly/helpful staff, campground is a mile off highway, so is quiet. Pull thru sites are close to each other, gravel sites, grass for your picnic table. Wi-Fi did not work well, could only get 2 TV channels. The bathrooms were a little dirty, but as with any campground if you use them 8 hours after cleaning they will not be spic and span. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one more beautiful campground. It is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains with trees all around and a very well maintained area. The sites are spacious and very private. The showers are very nice; great dog-walk area; great laundry; and was very quiet. We had a tree right beside our camping area that was great to sit under and enjoy the views and just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Breakfast in the mornings and in the summertime they have supper. We had no TV but with the scenery and the peacefulness, none was needed. We were situated in a great area to travel to all the nearby attractions and right at the edge of the Glacier National Park. We will definitely come back. It was a great experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park sits up on a ridge and fairly private. Sites were decent size. Lot of kids and mud when it rained. Had a small restaurant but never able to get in. Fits in with typical KOA standards-nothing spectacular. Nice pool for the kids. There seem to be an area in the front portion of the park reserved for the "elite"??? Beats the Glacier Park campgrounds so I give it a 5! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is absolutely the nicest KOA we have every stayed in. It is located off the highway on a mountain top. Just the location itself is beautiful. The sites were large and level with easy navigation through the campground. Amenities included breakfast and dinner served in the pavilion and an ice cream parlor. Perfect location for seeing the Glacier National Park area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice warm pool in a beautiful setting. We were camping just before Labor Day and were the only ones in the pool. The pool might be considered too hot in the heat of summer but it was nice even on an 80 degree day! The restaurant looked good, although we didn't eat there. Wi-Fi was excellent. The water and electric sites (no sewer) are located under the trees: a bit nicer if you can live without the sewer service! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Might be a problem if in the tree area sites. - Discounts: KOA card only - Payment: Credit Card - Additional Remarks: This is a very nice park. It has an area for larger RV with lots of grass and other sites that area within trees. There are trees in this area and needed to be trimmed. Power went off once at 3:30 am until 7:30. Don't know the problem. They have a large area to walk your dog. It would have been nice if part of that area was fenced to provide a open run for the dogs. We stayed here a week and highly recommend this park over a lot of others in the area. I am not a big KOA fan but this one is a really nice park. If you stay any where else you will be disappointed. I would give this a better rating if the sites were concrete, trees were trimmed and the roads within were a bit wider. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wow!!! In 40 years of camping & RVing this is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. Every thing as clean as can be, & everyone as friendly as can be. The swimming pool was clean & heated to a nice warm usable temperature. There were 2 hot tubs. The store is well stocked, and store prices are more reasonable than most. Bags of ice were only $1.50, and a nice bundle of wood was $4.95. There is an ice cream parlor with fair prices, and the owner grills ribs and chicken along with sides every night for fair price. There is a game room and an adult lounge with a TV. The WI-FI at our site worked well. Our site was perfectly level. There are many sites suitable for big rigs. The tent sites are large and have good privacy. The many Kamper Kabins were very nice, too. The park is conveniently located just a few miles to the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The rate we paid was for full hookups and reflects the KOA Value Card discount. I would definitely recommend this park to others. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very good KOA. Given it’s limited season and location close to the West Glacier park entrance the pricing is reasonable. I’ve paid more for one night gravel pits in the desert. The water/electricity sites are treed and have fire pits. The full service sites are in an open grassy area with level gravel drives and great views of the surrounding hills and mountains. There are no fires allowed at the full service sites but I find that a positive given the wide variety of fire tending skills of the casual camper. Nightly lawn sprinkling does necessitate protecting or bringing in anything that you don't want soaked The on-site restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. (I only had the typical KOA pancake dinner and it was ok) The restrooms and showers were a bit of a hike from our site and we didn’t use them but judging from the care taken of the rest of the facility I’m assuming they were equally well maintained. The internet worked well and we weren’t tempted to hook up the TV antenna. The dog walking was convenient I would camp here again given the opportunity. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

It is a very beautiful KOA. We had one of the open grassy sites, and it was well worth the expense. Breakfasts are poor, but the suppers are great, especially the ribs. You need to be careful in the grassy sites as they water every night. We will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An excellent campground. We stayed there for several days and had an enjoyable experience. Dog friendly. Utilities were fine. This campground is about 3 or 4 miles from the entrance to the park. Near the national park entrance is a nice restaurant. The campground also has a breakfast and a dinner served in a pavilion area. There were people enjoying each, especially the breakfast. From what we saw of the other campgrounds, if we were to visit Glacier again, we would stay at the KOA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground that the owners have put a lot of money and thought into. The restrooms and laundry and very clean. The staff is very helpful. The pull thru sites and wide and have a nice grass area-- no campfires allowed. The back in sites seem fine have more shade and allow campfires. There is a nice pool and two hot tubs. The only reason they did not get a 10 is the poor Wi-Fi service. It is free, but only worked right outside the office. They say they are working on it, but if you say you have free Wi-Fi I think it should be through out the park. They have several services, such as a restaurant, ice cream parlor and tour bus pick up. The only problem was they do not open until around the 15th of June. I hear the food is very good and the ice cream good, but they were not serving when I was here. The entrance is well marked and road in is paved and very nice. The roads in the park and sites are gravel and well kept. One other thing, and they have no control over this, the TV reception is terrible-- you get one channel. I understand cable is not available up here, but if you have a dish, they have sites that will enable you to use it. I would stay here again-- would love to check out the breakfast! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice & clean park in a forested setting. Friendly folks in the office with a good end of season sale. The spots without firepits are more open & have grass and small trees. The spots with firepits have mature pine trees and are a tighter fit. Some of the folks with slideouts had only inches to spare. Great, if pricey park close to Glacier NP. We would stay here again. This is the best KOA, by far, that we've ever seen. It's not perfect, but it is pretty darn good! Note, if you want open sun sites, opt for the premium sites. If you want shaded sites, don't go with the premium sites. I was able to get satellite coverage in the non-premium sites, but I also saw many others that didn't have the same luck. Positives: Great location in the woods and far enough off of the highway to make sure there is no noise, yet still very close to the West Glacier entrance. Employees are great--this isn't the standard "a bunch of teenage kids run the joint" that we've seen so many times. The premium sites are very nice, green, and spacious. Pool and hot tub area well maintained. Great on-site little 'restaurant' and ice cream shop. A neighbor lady runs a dog sitting service if you want a day of adventure without taking Fido with. Playground is in great shape and has everything needed to keep the kids happy. The tourist items in the shop are better than anything we found in Glacier, and at some very reasonable prices. Negatives: Wi-Fi is not very reliable as many have stated. The non-premium sites tend to be dirty (no grass) and sizes vary; some extremely tight, some very spacious. Not all sites can have campfires. There are a lot of great parks in the area. This one should be considered one of them. Price-wise, it is high. But, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a premium pull-through site. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully landscaped. The pool is not heated, and there are 2 hot tubs. Local television channels are available. The WiFi service worked in the morning, but was impossible to get on in the evening. Breakfast and dinner could be ordered from the Pavilion. On some evenings, there would be a wildlife slide show, Ranger talk, or movie shown. There was an Ice Cream Shoppe on the premises. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Too bad for a beautifully landscaped KOA that they couldn't come up with a Wi-Fi system that works! We were there for 2 days and had to go to the office 4 times to ask them to reboot the system. The West Glacier KOA is located about 2 miles from the town of West Glacier and the entrance to Glacier National Park. It is easily accessed from Highway 2 and has a paved road access. The campground has very nice office, pool, playground, and outside summer dining facilities. Summer flower arrangements and other landscaping are very attractive. There is a large pet walk area. The campground is framed by tall pines and mountains. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Numerous cottages are available also. Some of the narrower tree-area sites are tight for larger RVS with slide-outs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Feel as if you are going to the back of beyond as you drive the campground road. There is ample area to park and register. Office staff are friendly and efficient. Access roads to camp sites are well maintained but narrow. Some campsites in trees but pull through for larger units are in open area. Sites are flat and wide and have services in correct position for easy hook-ups. Electricity was solid and water pressure good. However small trees and bushes on road edge of sites made it a bit difficult to pull out from site. The campground is well maintained and is close to the entrance of Glacier National Park. Beautiful RV park at the foot of Glacier National Park. Not your typical KOA. This park is well off the main road, and you feel like you are in the middle of a forest glade. No road noise at all. All the facilities are clean, and the staff are friendly. WiFi worked great. Nice sites with good hook-ups. Red Bus Tours pick up at the campground. We shall return to this campground next time we visit Glacier National Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This KOA was OK. As per previous reviews, the grassy sites are bigger than the wooded sites. Not a lot of privacy though and I wouldn't exactly call any of the sites huge. They have a pool and a hot tub and we used the hot tub. It was nice. WiFi is free but goes on and off and if it goes off after the office closes (which it did for us), you will have to wait for the staff to arrive the next morning to reset it. The place is a bit pricey and I think that there are other campgrounds in the same vicinity that have more reasonable rates and are just as good or better. Don't think we would return unless everything else is full. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park where we were. We were on the grass, so we had more room than the people in the dirt. Those people were packed in tight. The pool and hot tub were great, playground was great. Gravel roads/large grassy unshaded pull-through sites. Lots of fun for the kids - Playground, game room, ice cream shop/restaurant. My only complaint: They run sprinklers in the early a.m. hours and the sides of your rig and all items left out will get extremely wet. Took a good waxing to remove water spots from paint and wheels. I complained that they should adjust sprinklers so as not to spray 1/2 way up the side of the motorhome. Other than that, place was nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.
