Johnson Lake is a large hydro-irrigation lake surrounded by lake homes and this beautiful State Recreation Area. The SRA has a swimming beach and boat launch as well as two campgrounds. We stayed at the Main campground. Most of the sites have 30 amp electric. There is a dump station nearby. Lots of tall trees, green grass and open space. The sites are all back in, but are quite large with big space between sites. Most have a great view of the lake. We were there midweek and did not need a reservation but were told that it fills up on the weekend. This is a beautiful spot just 7 miles off I-80. Very quiet and well maintained. We camped here in a Motorhome.
