Senior rate for off season, $8 for any site. Normal rates are $12 for no hookups and go up to $18 for 50 amp. Some of the no hookup sites are huge and on the lake. A few of the 30 amp sites have there own water. The 50 amp sites are all in a row on the left when you come in. Sites are mostly gravel, but some grass sites. Only problem was the number of dogs off lease here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice COE park with large sites and fire ring. There is a playground but no swimming access. There is a laundry, which was very inexpensive: $0.75 for wash and dry. Rt 136 west from Franklin really needs repair; the road from the east is much better. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If this is what Corps of Engineers campgrounds are like, sign me up! The rate reflects an off-season Golden Eagle rate but even at the full rate of $10, you sure can't beat this park. Large pull-throughs, beautiful lake views, peace and quiet. Handicapped accessible restrooms; boat ramp; laundry room; and several playgrounds. My only wish is that they would put some pull-through sites at the east end of the park where the water is. We would most definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Well, it takes a lot to be a Corp of Engineers park ($9 w/62+pass) and each one is better than the last. Paved access, gravel-level sites for big rigs. Room to roam, lake views (some are on the lake) only few water sites, but many w/ele. Quiet, Week ends a bit busier but still room, Relax and watch! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park recently upgraded 33 sites to 20/30/50 amp FHU. Beautifully maintained area, lake view with less then a minute walk to lake from our site (#100). Paved roads with gravel sites. Sites have fire rings and picnic tables. Treed so had to use portable auto satellite receiver. Excellent Verizon phone and air card service. Our GPS took us out Hwy 136, just use W. South Street out of Alma. 9 hole municipal golf course in Alma. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our rate is with senior access card - full hook up full price is $22.00 - wide spaces, pretty views of Lake. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Located on Harlan County Lake, just a few miles east of Alma, Nebraska. Another great COE Campground with 30amp electricity at each site. With our 62+ Pass, our cost was $8.00. Huge sites with lots of room between each site. Well kept campground. We camped midweek and it was very quiet, only about 15% occupied. Will definitely stay here again!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Quiet park in Sept. Level, big rigs OK, shade and good fishing (even from the docks..catfish) $9 w/62+ pass. Will be here again. A perfect example of COE parks! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful Corps of Engineers campground. There are plenty of trees, large, level sites and friendly camp hosts. There has been such a drought for the past 6 years that the lake is down by 20 feet but the campground is still a great place to stay. If you are camping with children, there is a very nice playground and lots of room for them to run, ride bikes, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
