Well laid out park with all pull throughs. Each site with 20/30/50 FHU. We used our Dish satellite for TV and Verizon air card for internet. Did not use the park wifi so don't know speed. Wi-Fi shows 2 bars and we are the furthest site from the office. Trash barrels at each end of campground. Each site has fire ring/grill. There is a pavilion and small basketball half court. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Sites are well kept as are the restrooms which require a provided at check-in code. All sites are level/gravel. This is such a clean, neat little park. Lovely owner, down to earth. Large sites. Excellent bathrooms and showers. Everything is spotless. And the town of Valentine is uber cool. We camped here in a Motorhome.

VERY helpful staff. No cable or antenna TV, but it is nice for a change. Family’s ranch surrounds CPGD. Good water pressure. Wi-Fi adequate. We did better with Verizon MiFi. Hwy 83 is a very bumpy road with lots of John Deere wide loads driving north. We paid Good Sam rate. Great place for a stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good for an overnight stay or two, but this is really just a wayside park on the side of the highway. That's all we needed. We pulled in around sunset and left at 7am so we saw no one in the office. This is a clean, groomed park right off the Highway 83. Nothing around the RV park so would have to unhook your tow to do anything at all. Beware!! The Wi-Fi is corrupted at this campground. It is public with no access code! Would give higher rating if not for that. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just a few miles south of SD state line on Hwy. 83 in rolling green hills and pastures. There are only 22 RV sites but all are long pull-throughs with full hookups, 50 amp service and free Wi-Fi. Very easy in and out, big rig friendly, picnic tables at each site, sand box filled with toys for kids, pavilion, fresh water pond (no swimming), lots of birds, plenty of green space for kids to play and to walk pets, huge skies (no satellite interference) and quiet. Roads and sites are firm, level gravel and are situated so that the driver sides of the RVs share island utility areas. The restrooms are immaculate. The owners are friendly and the property is cared for with pride. We found this one in Woodall's Directory, were pleasantly surprised and will return when in the area. It is a little gem. There are also some tenting sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came here without reservations because the nearby Riverside RV park had no 50 amp service and no sewer hookups. The owners were very nice and we got a primo site. This is a very nice newer park with immature trees but large sites. They are side by side and it would be a little confining if this park got crowded, but we were lucky and had no nearby neighbors. The only reason I gave it a low rating was the WIND. It was constant and strong. We spend most of the 2 day stay with the windy side slide in because the awning was continually billowing out or flapping. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked this park. The pull-through sites are very long. Hook-ups are side-by-side, but we did not have neighbors during our stay. All utilities worked well. Wi-Fi service was excellent. No cable TV, only Nebraska Public Television, and the signal on it was iffy. The park is very open, no sharp or difficult turns to navigate. There are some small trees, but no shade at campsites. Didn't notice any highway noise from Highway 83. Office is staffed from about 2:00 to 8:30 or so only. We would certainly choose this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice well maintained campground. Unlike some of the former reviewers, we found this to be the nicest in the area. The campsites were all nice long pull throughs and the interior roads within the campground were wide and manuverable. The trees were small, so there was not a lot of shade and though a beautiful playground, there was not a lot to do in the area but if you are just wanting a place to relax for a few days or spend the night, this is definitely the place. This is an overnight only RV park. We had relatives in the area, so we stayed 3 nights. No shade, side by side pull throughs. No laundry. The office is open from 2-8:30PM, if you come in later or earlier, it is self-registration. However, they do not include the codes for the restrooms, so if you are in a tent that could be a problem. After seeing the RV sites in Valentine, this place is wonderful, but would only stay here again if visiting relatives again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We needed a site for the night. Another local park was full and recommended this place. We're so grateful they did. It's wide open and beautiful. Everything is clean and nice. The sites are easy to maneuver into and everything was accessible. The bathrooms were clean and pristine. Okay, the water pressure could be better, but we're not complaining!!! We may never be through here again but we'd make plans to stop here if we were. The people in the office were so nice! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a newer park, so the trees are still small. It is true that it is out in the open, but then everything else in Northern Nebraska is in the same situation. There are freeze proof water valves so camping in the late fall or early Spring should not be a problem. The office was closed when we were there, but the sign in paperwork was a breeze. The Winter rate was only $20 per night. There is the Rosebud casino about 4 miles to the North where a reasonable buffet is available. Gambling, too, if you don't mind the smoke. The park is well lite at night. Would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice facility, although absolutely no trees at all and no break from wind. We actually had to pull in our slideout because the wind was so strong on several nights. The bathrooms were fantastic and there is a nice outdoor fireplace area. At night, the road noise seemed very loud. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is out in the open on top of a hill with no trees or "extras". We just used it for overnight so it was adequate. Storms were predicted and the owner told us where to go if we felt uncomfortable. We would stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used this web site with it's good reviews to make reservations for 2 nights here. When we arrived we found out that there were no 50 amp spaces and very few spaces with sewer connections. The owner was very nice and refunded our money and we went up the road to Fishberry. It's too bad because this place appears to be a nice quiet stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is only half-open...the bathrooms are out of commission and there's no Wi-Fi. But they are only charging $20 and it is in a beautiful location. We were here several years ago, and it looks like they've made some improvements since then...should be nice later in the season! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We prefer quiet, un-congested campgrounds and that's what we got when we made the decision to stay here. The only other real option was an RV Park on a hilltop north of town with no shade or protection from the wind. We think we made the right choice. There were very few other campers during our 4-day stay. The owner and his staff were friendly and helpful, directing us to local places we should see and explore. It's an old KOA park with a mixture of sites from primitive tent camping to a few full hookup pull-through sites for bigger rigs. Some sites are a little close as the park was designed before slide-outs were common. The roads through the campground are not paved. But that said, we enjoyed our stay. The park is right along the Niobrara River, within walking distance to the historic Bryan Bridge, and close to the Cowboy Trail recreation trail. In our opinion this is the best place for us to stay in the Valentine area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large campground, pull through sites, gravel, large trees. There are no riverfront sites. Manager was helpful in selecting our site due to having a 40 ft. motorhome. We stayed one night. Roads are narrow but sites are roomy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this campground on Google maps and were hesitant to use it because there were no reviews on this website for it. Since it was only 2.5 miles south of town we decided to check it out. Being along the river sounded like a plus. We are very glad we did. It's an older campground with lots of large shade trees (if that's what you want, they have other sites with smaller or no trees). There is a playground for the little ones (ours loved it...we were right next to it). The current owners put in a concrete go-kart track with half a dozen Honda powered karts. When we read they had Go-Karts, we were a little leery due to experiences with other tracks close to RV parks we've stayed at. The noise and smell wasn't something that sounded appealing to us. But we were pleasantly surprised! The track is away from the campsites and doesn't open until 6:00pm. It was a blast zipping around so close to the ground, you have to try it! The sites along the river are for tent campers. The river averages 12" of depth (at least in August) and was great to just wade out to and sit down in! There is a one-of-a-kind (in the U.S.) steel bridge adjacent to the campground (Bryan Bridge). The owners were very nice and accommodating. They run their campground by the Golden Rule, and without a list of other "rules" that so many campgrounds must unfortunately give everyone these days. We really appreciated the neighborly approach at this campground. The campground experience was a 10, with the cattle grazing nearby, the two horses on the property next door, the river view, the bridges, etc. The amenities are few, no pool, only 1 washer and dryer, older showers and building, however the current owners are redoing the place and putting a lot of work into it. They've replaced most of the electric and water to the sites already. After setting up camp, we looked at the other campgrounds in the area and we very glad we picked this one, nestled down in a valley, close to town, on the river and with wonderful owners. If you're coming to Valentine to float the Niobrara River or see the refuge, this is a great campground to stay! (And no we didn't get paid to say that, we just really liked it and since there wasn't any reviews, we wanted to be thorough). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this to be a nice spot for an overnight stop in our 40' motorhome towing a car. The sites are flat and long enough for us to leave the car hooked on. It is a small park but easy for us to maneuver in. The sites all seem to have 20, 30 and 50 amp power and full hookups. We did not use the cable TV which is included as the sites are open and we used our satellite dome. There is also free Wi-Fi which was weak at our site which was one of the ones further from the office; we did not persist as our Verizon card worked well for internet. This is an older park without much visual appeal but it worked well for us. I almost did not come due to a couple of bad reviews on this site. I am glad that we did as it met our needs well. The price noted is P.A. price including $3 additional for 2 a.c.'s on a 100 degree day. We would come here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This "RV park" is all crushed rock and weeds. Sites were not level and were very close together. It has a junk yard in the center of it with a fence around it. Office staff was nice and that's the best to be said of it. Would dry camp in a parking lot before staying there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Only because we were able to get a $16 rate for 50amp during 100+ degree weather: that we decided to stay here. The park is very run down with a "junkyard" appearance. Upon our arrival on Friday afternoon, several "drinking buddies" came up to us and quizzed us about our 5th wheel. From there on out, my husband occupied me each time we walked our dogs. I assumed because this was a Passport America park that we'd experience something else. Boy, was I wrong! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are no frills about this park. No pool and you need a key for the restrooms and showers, but considering Nebraska hasn't many RV parks besides the state/city parks this was a nice place. There's a market right across the road for food and beverage stock up and a store similar to the family dollar/Walmart too. Very nice owners as they are helpful in trying to make your stay more enjoyable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is obvious that nobody cares about this park. When we arrived at 2:00 pm there was a note on the door to pick our site and someone would be by later to collect money. That someone was the owners' grandson who decided to come to each site in his car that badly needed a muffler. He was nice and friendly, but pretty much without a clue. Sites are narrow, gravel, with little patches of grass on the sides. Grasshoppers and wasps are everywhere. Several permanent residents whose dogs run without leashes and bark constantly. Right next to a cattle auction and sale barn so the flies are also horrible. People wandering around the sites all night. The Wi-Fi is good, as is the cable TV. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice RV park for overnight. Close to Highway 83, but no noise or traffic. A little tight for a 42 footer pulling a Jeep. Owner was very nice. Everything worked as advertised. Excellent steak house (Pepper Mill) a short walk away, (my 87 year old mother did the walk in 102 degree temps). Movie theater in front of park. I would stay here again. The rate is Passport America, includes charge for 2 A/C's. The campground Wi-Fi and Cable TV were very good. AT&T cell phone worked good. IGA Grocery Store was directly across the street. The rate is Passport America with the $3 additional charge for 2 A/C's. This is definitely for an overnight stay and not more, in my opinion. You do smell the cattle auction (but not with A/C on). The WiFi was pretty decent and there is cable TV hookup. We ate at the nearby Peppermill Steakhouse and it was just OK and overpriced, we thought. Cheapest liquor was at the Mule Barn in town and cheapest beer was at the store next to the IGA...at least when we were there. Verizon MiFI was slow, but ATT iphones worked fine. It was relatively quiet, though you can hear the auctioneer over the loudspeaker at times. Diesel was a solid $3.89 the second week of July. Probably wouldn't stay here again, though the lady at check in was super nice and friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A passport campground with 50 amp power ($3 extra to run AC)& full hookups. Great for in coach laundry. Friendly couple is updating the park daily. Adding tile to office & gravel to sites. The nearby cattle auction does make for some odor if the wind is coming from that direction. With AC on no odor inside. We are self contained so did not inspect bath facilities. They are kept locked to maintain for campers due to closeness of rail trail. We found this to be a great stop enroute between Yankton, SD & Angustura, SD. We saw no full hookup sites taking the southern SD route, so followed 12 into Valentine. Very cute city. Rails to trails runs right next to the park. Easy exit to 20 heading west toward the Black Hills. Don't miss the Sand Cafe on route 20 west of Valentine! Great breakfast & huge pancakes. Lunch buffet looked like a winner as well. Plenty of room to park with rig & toad & reasonable diesel prices at station next door. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a Mom and Pop park. When we arrived, Mom and Pop were unavailable. The campground sites are dirt, arranged randomly, and were difficult to drive into. Once we settled in, we found that the CATV did not work. (It finally came on at 9:00PM). We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice place to stop overnight as they accept the Passport America rate. Real nice folks who run it and have been there for years. But the place could be kept up better as some of the parking spaces are loose dirt and very dusty. They do offer some sites which have freeze proof water outlets so that is a plus if staying during cold weather. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are Passport America. Very easy to get to from US-20 (you can see it before you turn off the highway). An ALCO and IGA just across the street. A very nice couple runs it trying to make the campground better, they just added some 50 amp sites which are pull-through, more or less. Good for an overnight stay. We are self-contained so do not know anything about the toilets, etc. There were a very few permanent residents. A half dozen RV's stayed the night we were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In Valentine to ride the Cowboy Trail, a Rail to Trail conversion. RV park is right on the trail. Owner very friendly and helpful. Site green and inviting. We did not feel at all crowded and we have three slides. Flies small and numerous, but this is Nebraska! Found we needed a new trailer tire and were quickly taken care of at Mr. Tire. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park for an overnight or maybe a few days. The sites are gravel pads with grassed sides. Next to a movie theatre and across the street from an IGA and within walking distance to fast food. It is easy to pull in for an overnight stay and not have to unhook the tow vehicle. They are a member park for Passport America so are very affordable. There is an extra $2 a day charge for the use of air conditioners or electric heaters. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was mostly empty at this time of year. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The sites all appear to be with side-by-side hookups and are very narrow, particularly with slide-outs. There is a cattle auction down the street, which results in occasional smell and noise and the flies when we were here were nearly unbearable. It is convenient to the walking track and to the grocery store and makes a good base for exploring the area, but I would not want to be here when it is crowded. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Modest park with full service. Nice young man checked us in. We paid Passport Am rate + $2 for using A/C + extra person. Surprised to find free WiFi working in park. Best amenity is location right on the Cowboy Trail hiking/biking trail. It's a Rails to Trails endeavor that will eventually cross the whole state along an abandoned train route. You could ride your bike right to Main St. if you liked. Sites are level gravel with grass in between. Small trees. Movie theatre right out front. Very basic and functional. We would use them again.
