Nice park that was very peaceful. Sites are far from level front to back, but was fine for us in our 33' TT. We were at the Lakeview CG closer to the lake at had great swimming and fishing. This park is very well maintained. We will probably come back for a longer stay. It does take a little skill to drive around in a rig our size, but was quite doable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We maneuvered our 35' Coach into a site at the Lakeview campground. It was tight and we suffered some damage to our Coach getting into the site. It was also narrow in the front of the site so we could only get our living room slide open about 90%. But the site was beautiful. It was also not totally level front to back and so we had to put blocks under our front levelers raising the front tires about 9" off the ground. The sites are more for Tent Campers, Trailers or 5th Wheels. There was no view of the lake, but we were surrounded by a lot of trees. The site had a picnic table and a fire pit and a lot of room for our camp chairs and portable BBQ. There is one pull-through site, but it was occupied. The restrooms were a little walk away but were very clean. The lake has a number of picnic areas and is in a scenic setting with mountains in the background. The other campground, Elk Flats, is the first campground and is about 3 miles or so from the lake. The sites there are a little more open, not as much shade, and may be a little roomier, but not much. Great Basin National Park (about 60 miles away), Bristlecone Pine hike where you see trees that are over 4000 years old and the Lehman Cave tour are a great experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As noted, there are actually two campgrounds, Elk Flat & Lake View. Elk Flat is the CG that you come to first just as you enter the park. The dump station and fresh water fill are located at the entrance to this CG. (There are also fresh water taps throughout the CG, but to fill a tank, the dump station is easy to get to.) Elk Flat CG appears to be newer and more easily maneuvered in a larger RV. Most of the spaces are nice sized but leveling will be an issue in some of the sites. The sites are well spaced and many have great views. Lake View CG is about a mile further into the park and right next to the lake. Many of the sites in this CG are small and leveling can be very difficult. we are only 27 feet long(motorhome) and thought that we would fit into this CG. We did find a site long enough, but we were not able to level the RV. We ended up staying in Elk Flat and were glad that we did. It has a much more open and calm feel than Lake View. This park appears to be very well maintained. The gravel in the sites was recently raked and the fire pits were very clean. Good short trips are up to Success Summit, a steep gravel road with nice views and over to Ward Charcoal Ovens State Park.If you are a birder you will love the park, lots of bird watching to do. We would definitely stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good park and great location for an overnight stay while traveling through Nevada. Good WiFi and cable. Management is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park with very friendly and helpful owner and staff. They went out of their way to be sure we had the right site to use our satellite. There are long term rigs, but they are nice, well kept, and in one section. It is a clean park, and the staff keeps the grass mowed and the park looking nice. The store is well stocked with RV supplies and convenient style grocery items. The services all worked well; the sites are wide and long enough for big rigs with out having to feel cramped. We will be coming back to stay here and see more of the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Graveled park with lots of large trees (spotty satellite reception). Sites are long and fairly level with a slight forward slope. Restrooms were clean, shower stalls typical KOA, small and fiberglass. The laundry room was very clean. There are 2 small enclosed dog runs with pick up bags provided. The camp store is quite well stocked. Campers seem divided between over nights and permanent residents. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nothing fancy. Next to the highway. The price is nothing fancy either. Hotel restaurant is good. Portions are HUGE! WIFi worked well, even far from the building. Staff was friendly. It is what it is, and the price reflects what it is. For a night or 2 stop over, we would do it again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

You couldn't beat the price and it wasn't a bad experience. We stayed here two days. As the other reviewers say, it isn't fancy, but we stayed in the row back from the road and it was quiet at night. The 2 free margaritas were nice. If I were in Ely, I'd stay again. The train museum is worth the price and close. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small, basic campground owned by the Prospector hotel. There are 22 sites of which 6 are pull-thrus. The interior road and sites are on packed dirt with some gravel. There is a small patch of grass (mostly weeds and dirt) separating each site. All sites have FHU with 20/30/50 amp electrical service. The electrical voltage was good. There is neither cable nor Wi-Fi within the campground. There was reception for both Verizon’s air card and cell phone. The hotel allows you to use the indoor pool and spa along with their exercise room. Laundry room was also available but we did not check it out. This is a very basic campground but it is priced right. Diesel at the Texaco station (across the street) was $0.12 higher then other fueling stations. The Sinclair (now Chevron) station on the Indian Reservation was also higher then those within town. There were a number of long term residents using this park. There was little road noise at night but some of the long term residents did leave the park very early in the morning. This campground does fill up early. We would stay at this campground again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second stay here. We stayed here back in April for a week but this time we stayed one night. You should be aware that there are quite a few full time tenants here but most are down the hill behind where your site will be and they are quiet. The Wi-Fi and cable both work great. The pull throughs will be a bit tight for anything over 40 feet. If you can't get there early, call ahead. The park fills up every day by mid to late afternoon. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week waiting for our mail. We had the best spot in the park. Most of the rigs were permanent or construction workers. It is an older park and mostly gravel, which meant a lot of dust. Staff was helpful and friendly. We'd stay here again, but only when passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is an example of what happens when a park just gets used to death with very little of the profit put back into the park. The showers are very old, but clean, and that is as good as it gets. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
