I was informed that the motel had been sold and the RV park would be closed down. Several sites had already been torn up during this visit. This will make staying in Fernley a little harder, only one other park in town. New Wal Mart going in across the street, might be OK for rest stop when completed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Check in was courteous and quick. The sites are adequate for a 40' MH with slides, toad has to be unhooked and parked along side. Electric was good, ran both airs with no problem. This is a one night park and serves that purpose. Didn't care for the indoor pool, hot and humid inside. Shopping center nearby. Rv area is behind the motel, I had a quiet night. Easy off and on to I-80, or to hwy 50. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While Best Western provides adequate Motel Rooms for rent they should have stayed out of the RV Park business. This Rv park is attached to the Motel. It is totally asphalt and conctrete. The AC Power is deploreable. The receptionist didn't have a clue about the park and directed us to an occupied spot. It is clear that this park caters to permanent residents as evidenced by the long term sites being trashy and cluttered. People let their dogs run lose. They suggest reservations probably due to the size of the park and the number of long term residents. I say skip it. We made a mistake! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great desert campground near Pyramid Lake which we really enjoyed. Please stop at the Piute reservation as there is a 5 dollar fee to use the lake but worth every penny. Burning Man (festival) takes place about 50 miles away during Labor Day Week. Desert Rose is very convenient to Interstate 80 but all rigs should seek an alternative route if you plan on traveling I-80 between Truckee California and Reno Nevada. This campground is on Alternate 50. Has easy pull through sites, great WiFi and Cable TV included in price. It's near a golf coarse. They have those great bathrooms which include sink, toilet and shower as one unit. However the best part was the laundry: had clean, smelling like pine sol, newer, reasonably priced, and powerful maytag machines. For full timers, clean laundry facilities are a gift from the RV gods. Thanks! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a convenient park. There were grass strips between the sites with small trees. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a golf course nearby and park discounted price of $22 w/cart is offered for twilight golf. We stayed in a pullthrough site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was very convenient to I-80. The manager was very friendly. The sites were concrete pads with a picnic table, even a grassy area. The laundry room looked very large and clean. We would stop here again for an overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.
