We had a great time camping here. We stayed in the lower river campground right on the water. The sites were very large and we had a lot of privacy. We have a 36 foot rig with a tow car and sometimes have problems getting in and out of camping places. We did not have this problem at Rye Patch. It was very easy access for our large rig and it is very close to the freeway. The rangers were great and even delivered wood to our camp site (for a small fee of course). We will return next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at both campgrounds at Rye Patch. We favor the lower campground that is down on the river. There are more trees and it is a little more private there although there was nobody else there when we were. I imagine the place fills up during the peak season. It's just a few miles off I-80 on a good paved road. Easy access for a big rig. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at the River Campground (the lower one of the two). The dump station and water fill are adjacent to this campground. Paved interior roads and sites. Roads are wide enough and most sites are long enough for big rigs. Some sites are not level, but most are. Very weak Verizon data signal, but good voice reception. Even though we were there very early in the season (May 8), most sites were taken by Saturday afternoon. This seems to be a popular fishing destination. There are no official generator hours or quiet time. Most of the campers seemed to be families with small children. There isn't much privacy between sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park is very run down. Water pressure is "iffy" with some sites with adequate pressure and others with very low pressure. Dirt sites, fairly level with lots of shade trees. Road noise not bad but the trains at night were quite loud. Management was friendly, however, we were told that they will not be open beyond the end of this month. Park was adequate for an overnight stay but the park could use a makeover. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used this as an overnight stay en route from the Bay Area to SLC. The location is convenient, and the pull through sites were long enough that we didn't need to unhitch. As others have said, the facilities here are rather run down (playground in ruins, for instance). There are some permanent residents, but they seem orderly and quiet. There is some road noise (a cattle guard) and trains run nearby. The noise didn't bother us, but it might some. We would stay here again for an overnight. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped at this park for an overnight stay to Central CA. It is an ok campground for this purpose. The entire facility is in need of some serious clean-up and maintenance. It really shows its age. The rest rooms, showers were clean, but some light fixtures were not working. The utility connections all worked as you would expect. We were surprised to have 50 amp service. We would stay here again for an overnight stay, but probably would not make it an extended stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
