This was a great place for a one night stay. We informed the host that we would be pulling in late, and they had our registration already processed and a site prepared. They have sites placed up front for the use of late arrivals / single night stays. This was a great place to pull through for the night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Under new ownership and they are working hard. Lots of "permanent residents" and lots of evidence that they are trying to get the park in shape. Friendly staff. Let's face it, if you're in Winnemucca it's only because you're headed somewhere else. This is a good spot to crash for one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at " Hi Desert RV " over Memorial Day weekend, it rained ! But we still had a very nice time. We have " camped " here about six times the past couple of years, and after reading some other reviews, It must have been a long time ago . I would recommend this park to everyone ! The staff are very friendly , general store is open and very well stocked, showers and restrooms are clean and work very well, laundry machines work , lots of grass for kids to play on, or just to relax ! 50 amp. power and free wifi ! We met the owner " Dave " and he has done a wonderful job making this a beautiful RV park! I don`t know what " hi desert " looked like in past years, but I do know when we started staying there in 2007, the park just gets better every time we stay ! We have camped here several times but it is really becoming run down. The sprinklers do not work so the grass is almost gone. The store is closed. The personal were friendly & helpful. Not the campground it use to be. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Hi-Desert RV Resort must have been a very nice park at one time. Currently, everything is run-down. Cow and horse dung is in the park. The pet walk has very little grass and is dusty with feces left lying around. The goldfish pond is stagnant and algae filled, but a few fish are still alive. The roses are dying; the park needs irrigation. The store has been shut down. Five washers and four dryers in the laundry room are inoperative. On the positive side, the park workers we have met are friendly and helpful. The park is quiet and well-lighted, but it suffers from neglect. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Mature, tree's park with pool, spa, playground, and WIFI. Easy access to interstate yet quiet. Great customer service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good park for overnight stay off I-80. Not a real picturesque park (mountain views all around) but easy on and easy off the Interstate. Not recommended for RVs over 40 feet unless you unhook. We came in at forty feet-towing and didn't have to unhook, a nice feature. Relatively quiet in front of park away from I-80. Park store has groceries, drinks, ice cream and some RV supplies. All in all, not a bad place for a stopover. This is our second stay and we will come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a decent and safe park for an overnight stop on the way south. It's not glamourous but is very functional and easy to get in and out of. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is a mess!!! We pulled in to our spot and tried to hook up. The utility box fell apart when we opened it. The cable hook up was simply a wire coming out of the ground. The whole park is run down and dirty. The "full service" store is almost empty. There are a lot of full timers that live here in all sorts of "RV"S--what a mess!! We asked for a refund, which was given, and we went down the road to Model-T RV park----Woodalls' gave this a high rating?? How long since they have been there?? We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park is older but was in good condition. The paved road has some potholes, but not a big problem. We had a pull thru which was not very long. Gravel pads with grass between units. The office staff was friendly and accomadating. We called at the about 6:00 because I-80 was closed due to a range fire and this was the nearest campground we could find even tho it was over 80 miles away. The lady at the office said she would stay until we got there. We were very pleased with our stay there We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nothing to brag about. Clean close sites. Bathrooms old but clean. Laundry and pool were closed. Pool looks like it is terminal. Reasonably quiet. Freeway in the distance. Beats a casino parking lot. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There is only a small amount of noise from Hy 80. The park is clean and reasonably attractive. It is located several miles east of Winnemucca, which is somewhat depressed since the mines have closed. Overall, this park is a very decent place to spend a night while traveling. MCOA member. We camped here in a camper.

Site are level but only 35 feet long. While towing our car, we are almost 60 ft long. We stick out into the next row but the lady at the desk said "no big deal"..no big deal as long as nobody comes in tired at midnight and runs into you. They don't have restrooms or showers so be self contained. The electric is 30 amps and adaquate for our one night. A little noisy being close to Hwy 80 but not bad. Would stay here again when passing thru. We camped here in a Motorhome.

No WIFI, check their website for coupons for RV site and coffee shop. Easy access OK for overnight though poor power if you stay check your voltage meter frequently to prevent damage to your appliances ie A/C in summer or electric heater in winter. They do disclose power fluctuations on your receipt. Grocery store across the street and Flying J a block away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good option for overnight or exploring the area. Park is clean and close to town. Trees and grass are nice. Although close to I-80, noise was not a problem. Sites are pull through. It is a place to park and spend an overnight, that's it. Small trees at a site, but that is it. Casino is not very appealing. Noise from truckers next door. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great location right off the highway, but not noisy. Each site has a tree and grassy area. Spaces were long enough so we didn't have to unhook. Paved roads and pads. Much better than another park we stayed at before. We will be back here again for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I gave this an 8 due to the noise from the ajoining casino and highway. But the campground itself is fine. Spots are close together but provide a nice grassy picnic area with table. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Casino has a very good restaurant with a buffet available. We stop here frequently on our way to Salt Lake to visit family. Not much for kids to do. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Basic RV park attached to casino. Surprisingly quiet considering it is right off I-80. We had lots of room for a big rig with four slides and a tow car. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Hmm, I guess our experience here was not quite like everyone else's. Staff at the campground itself was friendly during check-in, filled propane, etc. Our site (#22) was short and narrow; we were barely able to open the slides. RVs and cars were sticking out past the sites, one partially blocking our pull-through. The water at our site did not work, nor did the cable, and the entire campground lost power 3 or 4 (at least) times overnight. Staff seemed annoyed when I called about it ("Um, okay, I'll try to get maintenance out there"). Maybe it's a winter thing, but even the brochure warned they could lose power if too many heaters or A/Cs were on. Not acceptable in my book. No real "pet area" either. Restaurant at the casino wasn't great, wish we'd gone across the street to the BBQ place! We will try not to stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at the Model T many times, its on our route to the Tetons from California. Every time it has been without a hitch. Clean sites, easy access, courteous management. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A very good spot for an overnight stay. Very reasonably priced with no extra for tax. The sites are narrow and not long. The sprinklers go off in the middle of the night with water spots on the coach. No Wi-Fi access. You have to remember that this is a casino RV park and they want you to gamble. This park fills up very early during peak summer season. Be sure to call for reservations. The office staff was very helpful. You do get some noise from the truck parking in the next lot and from the freeway. There is a picnic table and a bit of grass for most sites. Only a very few 50 amp. sites - be sure to call and reserve one. No extra charge for 50 amps. The museum in Winnemucca is the best small town museum we have ever seen. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff friendly and had reservations ready for us. This was a very short pull-thru area and a little tight for large rigs. We have small travel trailer and drove through pull-thru without a problem. Could be a bit more difficult for larger trailers and RV rigs. It's was a great place to use for an overnighter and moving on to next destination. Convenient restaurants, stores, and shops nearby, and casino for a little entertainment. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice little park for an over night stay. It is clean and well taken care of. The sites are level and paved. There is traffic noise as it is next to the freeway but seems to be minimal at night. For 20 bucks it is hard to beat!! There is a wonderful restaurant across the street called Flying Pigs Bar-B-Q that has to die for ribs. Plus they deliver to your site. Ribs, beans, coleslaw and garlic toast all for $20. One dinner was enough for two of us. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All sites are pull-thrus (22'x40'), with paved parking. Each site has a shade tree, patch of grass, and wooden table. Park was built prior to slide-outs being invented, so the parking spots are very narrow, with slides on one side deployed. I could not open my rear trailer door, because the tree blocked it. Parking for your tow vehicle is cross-ways of the site and partially into the service road. There are two combination restrooms/showers, which were clean. There is a small gift shop, ATM, LP gas, pool, and restaurant. Discount for AAA and Good Sam. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

My wife and I stayed here March and December 2003. Then again April 2005. These were one night stays only. The spaces are adequate for slideouts. We give it a 7 because it was easy in and out and quiet. Winnemucca is not a place we visit but travel thru. The restaurant is decent and reasonably priced. Get fuel with a towable prior to Winnemucca in either direction as it is tight turning in town. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The location was very easy to get to off the freeway, located next to a casino and stores. It was a nice spot to take a break on our route through the state. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Leaving Reno, Nevada traveling to the east, there are few campgrounds to spend a evening. From one campsite publication, Woodall, Winnemuca, Nevada was selected. Not only the campground, Winnemucca RV Park, but the town itself should change their name to Yak-a-mucca. The campground had many, many permanent residents, and the condition of their RV and space around their site was mostly very poor. The owners, stated "our site was one of the largest pull-through sites." We chose a pull-through because our travel plans were to leave early and not "drop" our tow vehicle. Before retiring for the evening, no campers or etc. were in front of our vehicle. Leaving would be very, very difficult but with caution and no vehicles to our forward position, it was possible. In the AM, we discoverd a camper across from our site and with the size of our rig, we would have to disconnet the tow and back out to leave. Luckly, the smaller motorhome in front of our coach, decided to leave at the same hour. Moving a pinic beach, fire pit, and a one-way sign, we left and would never return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice RV park with level gravel sites, all pull-thru, some shade. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are included. Restrooms and pool were clean Staff was very friendly and informative. We stayed here back in 2005 and can see great improvements since then. Best one in Winnemucca is our opinion. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Winnemucca RV Park. What a nice surprise! The owners were very friendly and put us at ease for our first time in an RV park. It was near the beaten path (I-80), but far enough off to get some peaceful quiet. Although few children, our's was happy in the pool. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We felt this park needed some TLC, it was nice at one time, but is showing its age! The WiFi is the weakest I`ve ever seen. We used to enjoy this park at one time, but that was when it was the "only " game in town, now there is competition so maybe they will finely start putting some money back into the place instead of their pockets ! All gravel, no grass except where the tent sites were. Very dusty. Really sweet couple run the place. They have a store with many "basics" that would be needed by RV'ers. Was pretty cold, so we were asked to disconnect the water line each evening. Small dog run. Very clean facilities, despite the dust. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They must have been working on this park because our experience was nothing like the last review. We found this park to be nice, spacious, big-rig friendly, and well kept. The dog walk was neat and clean and there is a small area where your dog can run off-leash. We called to let them know we would be arriving after dark and the manager said "no problem, I will watch for you on the monitor". He came out and gave us an escort to the site. That is a nice touch not often seen. We would return here for a stopover again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Fine park for an overnight stay. Full hookups available, 50 AMP, and park is satellite friendly in some spots, more heavily treed in others. People working were nice and helpful. If we pass this way again, we would stop here. They give discounts to both Escapees and Good Sams. WIFI is free. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here twice on a cross-country trip from California. We stayed once on our trip East and once on our trip home. This is not a fancy park by any means but it was clean and pleasant. The couple running the campground was very friendly and helpful. When we asked for a particular site on our second visit, they made sure that we got the one that we wanted. The park was gravel with level sites and shade trees. It is a good place for a stopover, with nice restrooms, a well-stocked store and good management. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was listed as a C2C campground so right off the bat when I tried to make reservations using my C2C I was greeted with an angry woman complaining about how C2C tries to fill them up this time of year and they can't accept C2C now-the most she could give me is a 15% discount. We stayed 1 night only, gravel sites, close together with too many live-ins. Good for one night stops. Nice cold pool, store etc.. Would only go there again if I had to have a place to stop for a night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park for an overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff. This park is under new ownership and improvements are being made. Free Wifi was available at office, but repeaters and antennas were in the process of being installed. Pet area clean and adequate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Dusty RV Park adjacent to I-80, so traffic noise is heard throughout the park. Dirt roads and parking aprons. Many sites had permanent tenants, giving this RV park a Mobile Home park feel. WiFi is $6 per day. Stay one night if you must, then move on. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here at a discounted rate through Coast to Coast resorts Good Neighbor Program. This park is a little over a mile off of Hwy 80 and close to downtown Winnemucca. We were pleasantly surprised at check in when we were given a number of coupons for discounted drinks/dinner/gambling in town as well as recommendations for dinner. ( It reminded us a little of the 'old' Vegas ). The park itself has some trees and a lot of pull thru sites. There is a nice pool and store/laundry room. The interior roads are gravel. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The trailer life rating on this park is not at all accurate. This park is terrible! Everyone was packed in so close. You would be better off parking with a trucker in a parking lot. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is not as advertised in Trailer Life. We chose not to pay $2 per hour for WiFi. They advertised "70ft pull thrus" on their marquee. They need to buy a new tape measure. We barely got our 40 ft. MH in the spot. They charged $10 extra for 1 extra adult!!! No grass. Paid extra for dogs and dog run was horrible and full of dog poop!!! Train whistle in the middle of the night. We will never camp there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good for an overnighter. Gravel level sites, not much shade, nice outdoor pool, small store, game room, cable TV, modem in office (free), or WIFI ($6 day). Away from I-80 noise. Nice folks in the office. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

If you stop only to gamble, this might be an okay park. We didn't care for it at all. It's fairly small, maybe 2 small city blocks, and everything but a small grass strip on the edge is gravel. Sites are all crammed in side-by-side, with not enough room to put out awnings. For what you get, we thought the expense was out of line. Just our opinion. We camped here in a Motorhome.
