If you are looking for tranquility, with large, treed sites overlooking the beautiful river, then this is the spot for you. There are several long term campers, but plenty of lovely sites left for us travelers. The only negative for us was that the park is a about 20 minutes from the nearest store or town. Late in the season, there were very few people around during the week so not a lot of opportunity to meet fellow travelers. I would definitely return with a fishing rod and some good books. This campground is a hidden gem off the beaten trail. One of the best campgrounds we have seen for spacious, beautiful wooded (shaded)and open sites in Atlantic Canada. These camp sites are not stacked all in a row like most others I have visited. Beautiful river beach, great for boating, kayaking or swimming. Many beautiful hardwood trees throughout the site to allow lots of shade and some sun during the day. Average size pool, some swings but not much for a playground. About half of the sites are seasonal campers who take pride in their campground. Very pet friendly. If you like lots of space to run around and play and not feel like your in a refugee camp, this is it! Power is only 15amp and needs updating but still OK, water is excellent and no sewer hookup, but free dumping at dump station. Owners are very nice and relaxed and don't have over the top rules. I planning to make many more trips back here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
