Very nice people run this campground. We came quite late in the season - September - so most travelers are gone. Most sites are seasonal, pretty well kept too. The river and beach are nice. Short distance to Concord, Camping World. It's just OK. I wish, wish the bathrooms had been cleaned the three days we were there - hair in abundance on the floor, slight garbage in the showers. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As a racing fan and don't want to travel or get stuck in traffic, the NHMS is very accommodating. Basic rate is $100 and can stay up to a week before race. We stayed 4 nites for the $100. Of course need to buy race tickets for Sunday race. Different lots available, with family lots and what we called after our experience last year the 'party lot'. State troopers do try to keep 'fans' quiet. They do state 'quiet' hours, again state troopers do try to stick to rules. Need to be self-contained though as there are no hook-ups, etc. This year I did change to the 'family lot'. They do pack you in there too. So if you plan on leaving before Monday morning make sure you are parked on one of the roadways. But again, nice to be able to walk back and forth quite easily to track, but they do have shuttles to drive by the RV lots. Again, of course with my husband and I being nascar race fans, this is the way to go. We camped here in a Motorhome.
