The campground was hard to find. The staff was very nice and friendly. The bathrooms and showers were clean just old and had spiders and other bugs in them. The showers are timed for 5 minutes. If you want longer just turn back on for another 5 minutes. The showers are not adjustable. The water was so hot. For this reason I will never go back. The tent sites were clean and shaded. The pool looked nice, no one used it while we were there. This campsite is right next to train tracks. The first night a freight train woke us up about 1:00 AM. It was so loud it felt like it was plowing through the tent. Besides that freight you hear trains all day and night. Not my 1st choice for camping. We camped here in a Tent.

Not a bad location. It really needs a sign so you know when to turn. Especially if you have a motorhome. Campground was good, nice area and sites were good. They noticed the picnic table was broken when they brought us to our site, so they brought us another one. The only complaint why I won't return was the excessive barking of dogs from the seasonal campers next to me. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is on the backside of Great Bay on the Squamscott River (a tidal river). The biggest negative on the campground is finding the entrance sign. it is small and across a Shell station from the actual entrance. Entrance roads are dirt. Campground roads are packed gravel. They have a dock on the river and a boat launch site. I saw canoes for rent. Sites were fairly level and shaded. It is handy to Portsmouth, the New Hampshire coast and other sites in eastern New Hampshire. I would return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
