Friendly owners, great washer room. Sites very narrow. Walled area for cement picnic table and grill. Visually not very impressive, older long term trailers and mobile home park alongside. Great area for sight seeing, don't miss White Sands National Monument! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a terrific park. This family-owned park is very clean, attractive, has great laundry facilities (24/7) and a really nice gift shop. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of large shade trees, a pool, showers and propane is available on site. Some of the spaces had walls separating them with an attractive concrete patio area with built-in barbeque. The WI FI signal was not the best but a good constant signal could be picked up in the laundry room, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We don't know about cable or telephone hook-ups as we don't use them. The park was not difficult to find as there is a sign on the main highway. This park was quiet, restful and quite attractive with the park located just at the base of the mountains. What was especially refreshing about this park is that they made no claims to be anything but what they actually were. We will definitely stay at this wonderful park again in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's located on 24th street, but not easy to find. Paved roads, level gravel sites, with concrete patios and tables, some shade. They honor Good-Sam and AAA. Free Wifi and cable TV. Nice pool, the restrooms and showers were clean. Small playground for the kids. Friendly staff. Only draw back was some train noise. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The folks at this campground went out of their way to insure that we were satisfied with our site. They even took us on our tour of the grounds, pointing out where the dog walking area was located and where their son lived (for security purposes.) The sites range from gravel to grassy, some have short walls dividing them from each other. The restrooms are old but very clean. The office/store area has a microwave so campers can heat up the convenience foods sold at the campground. All in all, this is a great campground...one we will surely visit again. We camped here in a Tent.

Propane on site. Campground is tight on space and sites were skinny, we could not put our slides completely out. Convenient location just off of US 54/70 and quiet, lots of snowbirds. Would stay again for short type stay, would not stay more than a few nights. Staff and residents were helpful and very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The new large rig sites are in a gravel parking lot. The access road to the sites is very bumpy! The hookups are back to back. But the owner makes the stay very comfortable and worthwhile. He goes out of his way to help and explain how to get TV and how to get to local tourist sites and the local tourist information center. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Newer park with attentive owner (John Davis). Using PPA we paid 10.50/night. A few miles north of town on Hwy 54 which provides some road noise. Good place to stay when seeing the many area sights. Owner says he is adding a meeting room and game area in an adjacent house when the tenant moves out (today). We stayed in the new area, no shade, level sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate we paid does not include electricity. Very good park run by owner/manager, who is most attentive and available. He has just opened new big-rig site area with 50 amp and water - but no sewer. Washing rig/toad permitted - water extremely hard. There is an older section with much smaller sites, trees, full-hookups and a pond where rates may be different (higher?). We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice friendly Campground with great location ... easy in and out. Rate 10.50 for Passport America and owner says come anytime and no limit stay with POA. WiFi low but for the price I stayed an extra night. Met all our needs and had laundry room. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent state park in the New Mexico State system. Views are incredible! Great hiking up the Dog Canyon trail. It's hard not to search for Apaches along the way. Staff is very friendly with a very good visitor center. The best thing is we dry camped here free for the first three days before moving to a water/electric site for $4 a night with the annual state park camping permit. I recommend this park for hiking, bird watching, and just plain easy relaxation. Verizon Air Card and cell phone services were outstanding. We'll be back again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good park with a nice variety of sites. The position of the services make it tough to get set up. I used every hose and every electircal extention I had to set up in site #1. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Another great NM State Park! It's about 12 miles south of Alamogordo and 4 miles East of the highway, up the slope of the mountain (great views of the sunset). It's nestled against the mountain (sorry, forgot the name of the mtn.) but the hike up Dog Canyon looked great. There is a grotto at the top, see the visitor center for details. If you can, call for reservations and you'll get the top most (closest to visitor center) sites. They are also the largest and most level sites. I have heard it costs an extra $10 to use the reservation system (!?) but if you're staying more then a few days, it's worth it. The bathrooms are spotless and the showers have very warm, bordering on hot water. We found this a great park to use to see the White Sands and the Museum of Space History. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice remote area. Clean. Up on a hill and not much protection from the elements. Picnic tables, some with roofs over them. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Very nice park with great views from every direction. Very good water pressure, excellent cell & air card reception (Verizon), level sites (gravel & dirt) with paved roads. No problems with the electric. Located about 9 miles south of Alamogordo off of hwy 54. Very quiet here at night and during the day. There are a few hiking trails going up into Dog Canyon. Alamogordo has a Walmart Supercenter that was well stocked. The $4.00 we paid was because we purchased an annual camping pass($225.00 out of state, good for 12 months from date of purchase). They charge $4.00 for electric and another $4.00 if there's sewer. Otherwise it would have been $14.00. We stayed here for a week and would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent the Christmas holiday and there were only about 5 sites occupied. The views from this quiet campground are awesome and the desert vegetation beautiful. Only 4 of the electric/water sites are reservable. The sites are very large and have a fire pit and picnic table. Some of the sights have picnic tables beneath a shelter. It is very hot in the summer. There are nice low level lights that light up the trails to the bathrooms. The hookups on some of the sites are in an odd location. If you have a large rig, you can pull in but then have to maneuver to get in the right spot to access the hookups. We have a 35-foot fifth wheel. For example, in site #1, no matter from what direction you would pull into, your door would open onto the road side. Very odd. If you have a small rig, you could back into that site. The visitor center is very informative and the tour of the ranch house was very interesting. The Dog Canyon hike is beautiful but challenging. There is a pretty riparian trail. The weather was unseasonably warm. There are some good roads that would be great for bicycling. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is great as stated in previous post, but it should be noted that only about 1/4 of the sites have electric. Very quiet here at the base of the Sacremento mountains with lots of hummingbirds, Javelina's and of course you must accept the tarantulas and rattlers too, after all this is the desert. Great hike, (strenuous) right out of the campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Incredible beauty, look one way and you are at the foot of the Sacramento Mountains. Turn around in your site and you are looking at the Tularosa Basin and the desert with the White Sands national Monument in the distance. All sites have tables, some with large well contructed shelters. Lots of wildlife. We camped here in a camper.

Very friendly staff. Very nice pool that stayed open until almost dark. Good park for one night stay if you don't mind camping in a concrete parking lot. The restroom only had one toilet and one shower. I had to wait in line to bathe. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Not pretty but functional. Has 3 fenced doggie areas, only 1 shower for each men & women but very clean-strange set up though, paved, level sites, picnic tables, in town within walking distance of SuperWalMart and a variety of fast food places, all services at rear of site, some sites tight with 3 slides but we fit, good southern view for satellite. This is mostly a modular home park but has quite a few RV sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
