Nice park with good sized sites, good restrooms, and a few walking trails. The road in is not great, but not that bad. We would certainly stay there again. Our Verizon worked just fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice state park, with large sites. No Verizon internet service, although we have cell with roaming! Sites are flat with gravel. Concrete pad under the covered picnic table. There is a lake for swimming. No other activates. The staff were nice and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Distance to nearest town (Roswell) about 15 miles. The entrance road is about 4 miles, blacktop, and very bumpy. However, the park is very quiet and clean. Lots of room at the site. Campground has a great beach and enclosed adobe picnic pavillions that provide lots of shade and protection from the heat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

New Mexico state parks are a real bargain, and this is one of the best. The prettiest sites, pull-throughs on the lake with privacy foliage and trees in between, are reservation only. (Although some you can occupy for one night only if they aren’t already reserved when you arrive.) There is a lot of day use at the lake beach on the weekends, though, so these reservation sites are a bit noisier than the non-reservation, bleaker sites further back from the lake. There are some great hikes here, including a boardwalk out into wetlands with blinds for bird watching. It’s not terribly far into Roswell where the Roswell Museum and Art Center has some fantastic art. Of course, another must-see is the UFO museum which gives an interesting, if not convincing, account of alien encounters. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here several times and always enjoy it. There are lots of walking and biking opportunities. We were in site 4 and had very good Wi-Fi connection. We decided to stay 3 days longer than our reservation because of bad weather but had no trouble getting the extra days. It's about 20 miles to Roswell. Walmart, Sam's Club and many other shopping opportunities are available. In the summer time you can sometimes smell the dairies and have lots of flies. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Not sure what all the fuss is about; nothing here to write home about. Lea Lake does have nice, clear water but otherwise, this is the desert. Very little in the way of fauna or flora and the "scenery" has eroded to the point where it looks like a large pile of boulders. Wi-Fi is a joke; to say they offer it is almost dishonest. The bath/shower building IS nice but after several days, I have yet to see them cleaned. My site is advertised as "lake view" but unless I get on the roof of my trailer, that is not true. There are no shaded sites. Staff is nice but unless you just want a cheap place to park your rig while you drive somewhere more interesting, this one is not a keeper. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Since we like to walk a great deal, this park was ideal. There is a series of sinkholes that give the park its name, with a nice interpretive walking trail along them. The area is dog friendly but each of the sinkholes has varying levels of salinity so make sure you carry fresh water for your dog. The water at the site was extremely hard! The non-dairy coffee creamer I use formed curdles and made to coffee taste horrid! Our dish-washer was covered with white residue that we used vinegar to remove. Once we disconnected from "shore water" we used tank water (from home) to flush the lines with and the next campground we stayed at, there was no leftovers from the incident. While you're here, make sure to visit the visitor center and see the displays about how the sinkholes were formed, their depth and shape and plant and animal life in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have always liked this campground as it is only a few hours away. Campground is usually neat and clean, except when the critters get into the garbage, but that is usually cleaned up quickly. Sometimes there are the "no seeums" but usually aren't a problem. There are some nice large pull through sites with trees. They now have free WiFi setup in the park, but it is slow if there is a lot of people on it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful, clean, well designed RV park. The pull-through sites are spacious, well groomed, and have hookups located conveniently. The sites near the lake have a great view, privacy, and yet no satellite blockages. These sites have very nice metal/concrete covered picnic table areas. The only reason this is a 9 and not a 10 is the showers which are slow to heat and on a short timer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were just lucky to find this gem. We wanted a stop between Carlsbad and Grants, NM and this sounded good. It was GREAT!!! The lakes are actually sink holes filled with fresh water. The RV sites are on Lea lake and, while no one mentions it, you can kayak the lake. The water is gin-clear and fish & turtles are everywhere. Swimming is also allowed. Biking was good with a round-trip from the campground to the visitors center (along the lakes) about 9 miles of rolling roads. There is a 3 1/2 mile desert trail that is challenging. The TV, data & Wi-Fi was marginal but it did work (Verizon). Roswell is about 12 miles away and has every retail store you need. The cost reflects the $18 for full hook-up plus the reservation fee. The camp host was around each morning and most helpful. There were a few flies and an abundance of moths in the evening; but well worth tolerating to experience this real gem of a park. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The camping area itself was nice. We had a back-in water/electric corner site. The covered picnic table areas at each site are a bonus. The park hosts/managers had little to no people skills and weren't friendly at all. We were bothered the 2 nights we were there with dogs barking constantly and were told that it was a dog friendly park. We have a dog ourselves but do not allow it to bark continuously to annoy other camping guests. We will probably not be returning to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Located 12 miles from Roswell. Do not listen to the shortcut directions from the campground host unless you want to waste an hour driving through backroads: trust your GPS. If you are here for the sole purpose of visiting Roswell, stay at one of the campgrounds on the outskirts of Roswell. The park roads are in poor condition and the drive to Roswell takes >30 minutes. Half of the sites can be reserved on-line. Six sites have EWS (electricity, water and sewer), 25 have EW (electricity and water), and three are unserviced. While the campground fee is only $14 (EW), this does not include the $10.60 reservation fee. Sites are level and a decent size, and offer a fair degree of privacy from your neighbors. If you come here to experience the park, I suspect that you will have an enjoyable time, however, we were here only for an overnight and found it inconvenient for visiting Roswell. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A bit challenging getting there from the south along basically farm to market roads; especially in the winter with snow on the road - probably should have come in from Roswell; oh well, but the State Park was a very welcome sight once we started down the hill. Camp host was welcoming & friendly & pointed us to the best available spot - it was a pull through with plenty of room; vegetation around each site made you feel like you were in your own little world. Lots more sites out in the open but Host recognized that it may snow again & was giving us our best chance of getting out in the morning. Another of the many campgrounds we have stopped at in the winter that we'll put on our list for checking out in more clement weather. It is truly beautiful. Used electric only; site had a covered picnic table & there were showers/rest rooms that we did not check out but other folks seemed to be using them with no complaints. Would definitely stay again & I would imagine it is quite crowded in warmer weather. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A fairly standard state park. Paddle boats and swimming available at the adjacent lake (can be crowded on the weekend). Nice scenery, friendly staff. Restrooms and showers not bad, but like most state parks, you can't adjust hot water. (Just push the button and get whatever temperature it's set at). Pet friendly. We would go back if we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the place to stay while visiting Roswell. The lake was clean and refreshing. The sites are large and well maintained. Some pull throughs, but mostly back ins. Full hookups. Close enough to Roswell for side trips. We visited the free zoo in town and would recommend it. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Although the scenery was fabulous, the gnats were absolutely horrific! I had to put cotton in my ears to keep them out and continuously swat them from my face! The sites were level and the campground neat. The salt flats around the area were very interesting. I was there in April, but, due to the pest, will probably not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is our third visit to Bottomless Lakes. We love the area. It is quiet with lots of geology to explore. We like looking for Pecos diamonds in the area. Flies can be a problem anywhere in dairy country. Lots of safe bicycle riding opportunities. A protected wildlife area is available adjacent to the park. Staff is friendly but not intrusive. We'll definitely stay here again. $4 fee reflects annual camping pass. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice lake and wildlife, but very poorly run. I had a big problem with getting one story from the host and a totally different one from the manager (who has a real problem with "people skills"). Flies, mosquitos and bees were a problem. Some campers were very "scruffy" and appeared to be one step above vagrants. Snakes are common in warmer weather. Even with a state park discount permit, I won't likely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you visit for the swimming and/or have a young family, you will probably have a great time here. The playground in the day use ares is to die for. The day area and swimming beach is next to the campground. We visited in the late fall. We got a nice pull through site with a lake view. Sounds good but wait. I have rated this park low because of the flies. I have never seen so many flies in a campground. Since there are no covers on the trash cans and the park is heavily used, it has become a fly breeding operation. This is sorry management and there is no excuse. The trash cans were new and there were lots of them but the the tops were missing from all of them. I would not camp here again. I have visited every state park in NM and I would rate this one at the bottom. However, I did not see anything better in the Roswell area. And the price is good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This a an excellent public campground adjacent to Lea Lake. We had one of the four pull-through sites, which provide a close-up view of the lake. It was just a short walk for us to enjoy swimming in the lake. When this campground was developed the utilities for the pull-through were placed on the wrong side, in my opinion. We parked the opposite way for the lake view and our electric line was plenty long enough to reach the 30 Amp box. There is a large tin ramada over the large concrete picnic table and associated concrete pad. Shade if any is provided by tall salt cedar shrubs. The majority of sites are level and composed of weak gravel. Access roads are plenty wide enough for big rigs. The downfall for this campground is its close proximity of the popular day use area. On the weekend a considerable volume of noise traveled across the lake. The raccoons have their way with the trash since there is no trash can covers. Mosquitoes and house flies were abundant and getting worse during our stay. The entrance gate, advertised to close at 9 PM, was open all night. Allowing noisy late arrivals to disturb the campground. We stayed here for four nights and will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay at Bottomless Lakes State Park. The park is in the desert area east of Roswell, and contains a number of unusual small lakes. The RV area is back in the park next to Lea Lake. There are both pull-through and back-in sites. Some can be reserved and others are first-come, first-served. We camped in a pull-through with water and electric. A few sites are available with sewer as well. The sites are wide and long, and well separated. Each had a shaded cover over a picnic table. We got good AT&T cellular and Verizon broadband reception. We really enjoyed swimming in Lea Lake, which is spring fed and very clear. There is a large sandy beach along one side with lots of shallow water. The rest of the lake drops off sharply to a depth of 90'. A very interesting place to swim! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very unusual setting: a series of very deep sinkholes, surrounded by red rock cliffs. Campground is located next to beach, but all day campers are out by 6 pm. Water is cool though! Sites are wide and separated by lacy bushes providing more privacy than most places. Amenities and bathrooms are for the beach, but close by. The road is several miles long and very, very bumpy. Camp hosts were pleasant, found us a good spot though we arrived without reservations. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Yet another nice State Park. We arrived on a Thursday and had no problem finding a 50 amp site that would accommodate our 40 motorhome. By Friday, the place was completely full. Lea Lake, which is the only one of the Bottomless Lakes that you are able to swim in is right next to the campground and was busy every day we were here. It's spring fed and very refreshing! We had no problems with the roadways, our Verizon phone and air card worked and Roswell is within easy driving distance. This is another park we would not hesitate recommending or staying at again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good park for a state park. It's a first-come, first-served campground, unless you book online. The lake is very nice and not too cold near shore. It's a little too far if you're just going to do Roswell for a day. There are campgrounds closer to town. This really is a relaxing place, not for touring. The road in is awful. Do not take the first road that announces the park. If you go, make sure that you do not stop at the Tourist or Information office. You need to go to the host's RV, which is in the first space. He will be able to help you. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was nice RV park 10 min's outside of Roswell. We went swimming in the lake, which was a very short walk. Camp host were very helpful. We had a pull thru site that was very roomy. The shower rooms were clean. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A pretty, oasis-like park some distance outside of Roswell. We had heard bad things from New Mexico folks about Roswell, but found the town attractive and vibrant. Didn't see any aliens, though. The 'bottomless' lakes at the park have deep blue water and are in a small chain, with desert in between. There is good walking and bicycling. It was too cold to swim when we were here, but the beach at the campground was very nice. Some TV with antennae, plus ok Verizon broadband. We would certainly camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great State Park about 13 miles outside of Roswell. Beautiful red bluffs and clear lakes give it some of the nicer scenery of the entire area. It was too cold to swim while we stayed, but the swimming beaches looked quite clean and orderly. Great place to practice some photography, especially when the red bluffs light up with alpenglow in the evening. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park with one exception--I've never ever seen so many black flies. If you leave a door open while outside, you will have 2 or 3 hundred to deal with inside. We stayed here in a motorhome. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent a couple weeks here, and enjoyed the park. The lake offers swimming, and beautiful evening sunsets. The friendly campground host does a great job. The restrooms and campsites are kept clean, and grouped trash cans emptied daily. The only problem was the mosquitoes. On some evenings they were so bad you could not go outside, yet on others no problem. One brave tent camper surrounded his tent with torches, but another camper left because the mosquitoes were so bad. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this campground, although some sites don't have a lot of shade, it's peacefully located off the main highway. We took the back road in by mistake and really thought we were lost in the middle of nowhere, until we came over the hill and spotted the azure blue lake beneath us. The camping area is separate from the day use swimming area, which was pretty packed on a Sunday afternoon. But the campsite was quiet overnight with fairly spacious campsites and an opportunity to let our dogs paddle in the lake - they loved it! You can't beat the rate for this park. This is very nice campground. Lots of work going on around the outside of the park but does not affect the campground. Looks like they may be enlarging the park and repairing the roads. The sites were gravel and very large. Every site has a covered picnic table which is really nice. Only problem we had was with the wind which is not their fault but there is nothing to block the wind. Beautiful at night with million stars. Approximately 20 miles from downtown Roswell. We would camp there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were a little surprised at the condition of the roads entering this State Park. Make sure you go plenty slow. We were towing our car, and I wondered more than a few times if it was still on the dolly! It's great because it's far outside of Roswell, so very quiet. Abundant nature and wildlife (including a family of raccoons). Right next to the lake. We wanted to rent a boat but they are not available in the winter. The scenery is great and the volunteer staff is very friendly and helpful. Our site was water and electric only, but both worked well. The showers are push-button, similar to those you would find in jail. And... they seemed to not have any hot water! We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be a nice camping experience away from the city. Definitely recommended for the wild and adventurous. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very pretty lake. Too cold for us to use the bathhouse (not heated) and the water pump froze overnight, but it thawed out quickly come sunrise. We enjoyed the remoteness and unique beauty of the place. Great CG host, as well. Can really see the appeal of this place when it's warm enough to swim--nice lake and beach and facilities. A longish trek from town, but breathtaking lake scenery. The most ubiquitous and voluble campground host I've ever encountered. Roomy sites, many pull-throughs with 50A service. Practically no shady spots. No sewer, free dump. Ramada with table at each site. Although there is no pool per se, there is a natural swimming area surrounded by a beautiful faux-mission rampart. Lake access elsewhere for water-loving pets. Dock with paddle boats in season. Restrooms and showers clean to usual high NM state park standards, with hand soap dispensers and paper towels. Grounds cleaned daily by convicts. Entire park is in a bowl, so no cell signal. Spent two nights here, just gorgeous. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 weeks. Plenty to do and see. Great biking and hiking on the road and off road bike trail. Interesting geology. Water is very hard with some iron in it. Well run park and very friendly hosts. Dairies in the area add some odor sometimes. Roswell is not too far and had everything we needed, Sam's Club, Super Center, free museums, nice bike trails. We ignored the UFO stuff. Cell phone coverage is a little weak. No fish in the park, all died because of algae. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The price reflects that we have a NM state park pass and the additional fee is $4 for electric and $4 for sewer. We stayed here for 4 nights and have stayed here a few times previously. This is a great state park! There were only a few sites occupied but the sites are spacious enough that if it were 100% filled, you would not feel cramped. The host has been here for a few years or so, and is very friendly and accommodating. I did not use the bathroom but checked them out and they appeared very clean. Park has a dedicated park superintendent and his staff is terrific. There are a lot of plans for upgrading the park as far as an improved trail along the sinkhole lakes and to develop the wetlands with more trails. You are about 13 miles from Roswell (pop. about 42K) which has anything you would want and wonderful, free museums. Don't miss visiting the Bitter Lakes Wildlife Refuge. The state park and refuge have wonderful birding and an interesting alkaline environment which contain unique species of plants, animals, insects, fish, birds, and plants. I highly recommend this state park! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We felt this was a good state park. We paid $14 per night for electric and water only. If you choose a sewer site, it is $18. Self pay station and there is a dump station available. Be aware that there are some "reservation" sites. You are allowed to stay in these sites for one night only and then if you do not have a reservation for additional nights, you will be asked to move. They are very firm about this. No matter if this site is empty for the next 6 nights. They ask you to call an 800 number and then they charge an additional $10 reservation fee. While we were there in December there were only 3 other campers and the host. We did notice a slight smell coming from the lake, but only first thing in the morning and it was not bad. Roswell is about 20 minutes from the park, but it is an easy drive. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This State Park is very beautiful. The RV sites are great with covered patio tables available. That is the good news. The bad news is that virtually every fly in the United States lives there. The outside cooking grills should remain clean since you cannot remain outside without being invaded by these pests. After stopping for two days, I spent the next 2 weeks killing the Hitch-Hiker Flys all the way to Texas and Mississippi. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would have given this campground a 10 if it wasn't so noisy on the weekend. Day use across the lake was filled with cars blasting music for hours. Rangers asked them to turn down volume but it fell on deaf ears. There are a few sewer hookups near the camp host and thoses are probably the sites with 50 amp power. We were in 27 which is across from the lake and had water & 20 & 30 amp hookups. It rained hard while we were there and a few hours afterwards there was a very strange smell. Never did figure out what it was. We would stay here again but NOT on a weekend. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a campground in the middle of the desert which happens to have some spring-fed lakes nearby. The sites are large and adequate and the staff is friendly. It appears as though it would be very muddy if it were to rain. There were about eight sites occupied when we were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Really great state park! Huge pull throughs, some with a great lake view. Swimming area with a beautiful sandy beach. Heated restrooms were always clean. Not many trees, but the red cliffs surrounding lake are fantastic! Camp hosts were very helpful with info and literature on surrounding area. Best place to stay in the Roswell area. Loved it! We have stayed here last year and enjoyed it. The rangers and campground hosts are very helpful and friendly. The campground is very attractive and well laid out with plenty of room between sites. I especially like the 4 or 5 long, pull-through sites. There really is not a bad site. They all have cover, shaded picnic tables and gravel sites. There are many sites that have views of the lake. Bring you bike as there are isolated roads to ride on. The visitor center has superb displays and the geology of the area is very unique and fascinating. Bird watching is another activity. There is a really nice swimming beach. Fall, winter, and spring are the times to visit as the summers are pretty hot (but dry). There are only about 6 sites with 50 amp service along with water and sewer; the rest are 30 amp. That is a consideration when choosing a site when you will using your AC. We did have good cell phone signal even though the state park is isolated. The nearest store is in Roswell so if you need supplies, it is about a 20-minute drive into town. Another little town, Dexter, is about 7 miles away but does not have the selection of goods as does Roswell. Nearby, is the Bitter Root Wildlife Refuge. We highly recommend this state park for a quick overnight stay or as a base to explore the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. The sites were spaced nicely apart and each had a covered picnic table and grill. It was very quiet and a very pretty area. We enjoyed learning about how the Bottomless Lakes were formed. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. We could ride our bikes on the road and there was hardly any traffic. The only complaint we had is that sometimes the smell from the brackishness of the standing water that remained after a very rainy period was unpleasant. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great!!! Park! Each site had a coverd picnic table and grill. Gravel sits fairly level. Some pull throughs, 8 with sewer. Lots of room between sites with some trees provide priavacy. Real nice sandy beach with picnic areas and outside shower to wash of the sand. Playground and 2 vollyball playing areas (you provide the net, and ball) Water is crystal clean with life guards on duty during the summer months. New and very clean showers. price is 14.00 for elect 18.00 with sewer. There is a dump at front of park. This park is 20 miles from Roswell, NM We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Just peaceful, quiet, wonderful high desert. Dry camping, wildflowers everywhere. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Recommend camping Monday through Friday, as it very quiet except on weekends. Best camping is at the end of road. Retired BLM camphost and wife from Tennessee, and they are great. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a small park, but perfect for our needs. There are many long term residents, so be sure to call ahead for availability. The best space is #11, where we were, as it is very private. There were grassy areas and picnic tables at each site. We were able to put up an exercise pen for our three small dogs on the grassy area and there was plenty of room. The campground WiFi worked great as did our AT&T cell phones. There was a nice clubhouse with TV, book/DVD exchange/loan (including DVDs of recently released movies), kid's toys, laundry and showers. Everything was clean. There was no extra charge for the showers and the the laundry (which we did not use)were very clean. They had a small snack bar,on the honor system. We had a friend in the area meet us there and it was just the perfect place to visit. We heard to road noise at all. The rate we paid reflects a 15% Escapees discount. The owner who lives in an adjacent home, was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, but it's nice enough to spend a week or more here. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area. This is an older, small park with great people. There is an honor system for ice, snacks, laundry, etc. Spaces are small, but bear in mind that this park was built before slide-outs were invented. I am a bit miffed by a reviewer who rated this park WITHOUT staying. I came here for a week two years ago and never left. What this park lacks in size, it MORE than makes up for with top notch owners and long-term residents. The owners have a big cook-out once a year and invite all customers. In all fairness, I have seen a 42 foot class A with SUV in tow park here with no problems. I would absolutely stay here any time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The lady that owns this park is wonderful and very accommodating. That said, the park is small and somewhat difficult to maneuver a big rig through. Most of the sites are permanents but they are very well taken care of. The 2 sites used for over-nighters are pull-through but tight and as previously stated, right next to the road. We didn't find that particularly objectionable but we were very cramped in the site. Our picnic table was on the driver side because there was barely room to walk between our motorhome and the 5th wheel next to us. We were only there for 2 nights so it wasn't a big issue, but if we were to travel through this area again, we'd first try to find another park that can accommodate big rigs better. Rate reflects a 15% Escapees discount. We stayed at this park because of the positive reviews on this site. We arrived very optimistic. On the positive side, the lady that seems to run the park was wonderful, very friendly, very accommodating. the WiFi is very, very fast. We have never had faster. The laundry is as reviewed before, nice and clean. The overall park is very clean and well kept. However, as noted by the last reviewer, the two overnight sites are RIGHT on the highway. Most of the sites are taken up by, very nice, longer terms folks. No problem with that. However, the two overnight pull-through sites take the front of the coach to within 10 yards of the very busy highway out front. So, if you like staying at an RV rest stop, you will love it at this park. Now, to be fair, the road does "calm down" at night making it possible to sleep. However, if you plan on being around during the day, prepare for the sound of large trucks continually going by. Also, we prefer very dark at night and this park has some large, bright streetlights. So, we hate to give this park a lower rating, but, sorry, being this close to the busy highway is a bit too much. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rather charming, very small park (14 sites plus one cabin). Owners were friendly and eager to help. Honor system for laundry, which I appreciated. Very clean, but only one of each machine. We were in one of two pull through sites, which open right out to the highway. Wi-Fi advertised but we never seemed to be able to access it. We even had problems with our hotspot: very slow. Had a great stay. The staff is what makes it great. Very small but very close to Roswell and easy access. All the normal hookups and the site was level and easy to get in and out. Honor system on things you need from the store late at night. The bathrooms and showers are older but very clean with good water pressure. The only thing is if you are not an early riser, it is right on the highway and it gets busy in the morning. At night it was not a problem. In Roswell the big surprise was the art museum was better than Santa Fe. Worth seeing and free. The RV parts place in town is also great, best prices I have seen, if you need something while on the road. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I really liked this little RV park. I called a couple hours before arriving and the owner recommended I take one of two pull-through sites when I arrived. It was a level site that allowed us to exit onto the highway through a gate--very convenient. The restroom and shower were clean and the shower was hot and had great water pressure. I really liked the honor system for the laundry and snack store--so nice not to have to look for quarters. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and always answered the phone after hours (in the evening when I first called to say we were coming, then when I called back to ask for the Wi-Fi password, and again in the morning when I called to say I had some difficulty getting the sewer cap open). When I called in the morning about the sewer cap she came right over with a tool and opened it for me (the previous camper had apparently screwed it on much too tightly and mis-threaded it). This park is right on the highway, but I heard hardly any traffic. It's just a few miles from the "International UFO Museum and Research Center," which is worth a visit; although it's not first-rate in terms of how it's put together, it's still really interesting to look at all the newspaper clippings and signed affidavits from UFO witnesses. A nearby shop owner told us that the owner of the museum is planning to revamp it within the next couple of years. If in Roswell I'd definitely stay at this RV park again. This is a pleasant small park surrounded by farm land. There are 3 or 4 full hookup 30/50 amp sites for transients; 2 are pull through. Water is good. Electric dropped 5 volts under heavy load on a hot day. Showers are clean and work well. We were east bound on US 380 in a 40' coach with car in tow. We had to use part of the west bound lane to make the turn. There was little traffic so it was not a big event to do so. The sites are a narrow, but not the worst we've encountered over the years and the people are very friendly. We were assigned a back in site. There was plenty of room to maneuver into the site. We did call 5 days in advance to reserve a spot and recommend doing that. Price reflects Escapee discount and includes tax. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are only two pull-through sites here and we had one of them. It was terribly cold here and the sewer line in the shower and restroom had frozen and broken. Water was available, but we used our on-board supply. The park is a few miles from downtown, where one can visit the UFO Museum and Research Center, a worthwhile thing to do. If you are heading in to Roswell, we suggest giving these folks a call to see if you can get one of their few open spots. While this is an old park, these owners seems to be making steady progress in making improvements and everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful. It feels like a little community within a community. Good places to walk dogs, and things available on the 'honor system' like laundry, soft drinks and ice cream. We ended up staying 2 nights when originally intended to only overnight as we were given great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this park after trying two others. The hookups were close, Wi-Fi worked and ice, candies and ice cream was on sale. The rest rooms were clean. I broke a shower control and they had it fixed the same day. Yes, at times there was the smell of farms, but that added to the charm. Traffic did not wake me at all and I was glad of the tree shade. This small park is located about one mile from downtown Roswell. There are only 15 sites and most of them are used by contract medical personnel who work in the local hospitals. The park is right off of Hwy 380 and there some traffic noise during the day. The park is gravel with an alfafa field behind it. All sites are back-ins except for two sites. There is a small sitting room with TV, tables and chairs, book exchange and a couple of free lending videos. There is one washer and one dryer on the honor system which we did not use. There is one shower and bathroom which were clean. Verizon card and cell worked. We arrived during a day with temperatures in the 90s; electric was on the very low side with everyone running their air conditioners. Owner is onsite and is very helpful and friendly. The city is near feed lots so expect some odor depending on the direction of the wind. The park accepts discounts such as AARP, AAA and Escapees. Rates reflect the discount. We would stay here again. Granted, this park is sufficient for an overnight stay, but we felt it was crowded with very cramped sites, the water pressure was extremely low (just a trickle coming out of our shower), and the smell from surrounding area was awful. Most of the sites were filled with long termers. However, Wi-Fi and cable TV did work very well. Owner was not in town, but the fill in help was friendly. Did not use any of the other facilities. Very friendly and helpful owner/manager. This is a very small park, 16 spaces, on the east end of Roswell that offers AARP discount and is out of the town traffic a bit. Not a resort, but very nice in that the spaces are spacious (we have 3 slideouts) with more than enough room. Pull through spaces are facing a gate that eliminates pulling through the camp to get out. Open the gate and go. Very well kept grounds, we didn't need the facilities, however, if they are as clean as the office and grounds it makes for a very nice lay over. This campground has a lot of promise. It changed owners a couple years ago and is being brought up to snuff. The spaces are all back-ins except two pull throughs reserved for overnighters. Spaces are level, mostly dirt with grass areas on the sides. Behind the spaces is farmland, which if newly fertilized will smell newly fertilized. The proprietor is extremely nice and helpful. The camp store is odd in that it has some snack foods/drinks and everyone pays on the honor system (kind of refreshing). However, there are no emergency repair items for sale which would be a big problem since the local hardware store is closed on Sundays. The spaces are too narrow to get your awning open. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and there were enough cable channels to find something to watch. The town center is about two miles away, so unhitch your car or bring a bicycle. Although just off a main highway, there was little road noise. The bathroom and shower need to be renovated. The fan doesn't work and needs repair. I would stay here again for a pass through. It's a nice place which I expect to only improve under the new ownership. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small place, and several of the folks are long term, but we had one of the only two pull through's. You pull up to a closed gate that faces the road, and when you leave in the morning, they open the gate and you drive right out. The desk wasn't manned when we got there but there was a note to take the open site and she would come see you later. So we did and she came about 8 PM. Nice lady. The park and bathroom is older, but is kept clean. The wifi worked but didn't have many bars of signal strength. We were fine for the night, and I would stay there again. Owners live on site, and we felt it was very secure. Great place surrounding the park to walk dogs and let them play. The restrooms & showers were terrible - dirty, moldy, broken locks, etc. There was no store of any type on premises. Lots of rules with no this, no that on the registration info and posted on tacky little signs all around. They must have had some very bad tenants to go to such measures. Felt somewhat unsafe. Our escort was friendly and helpful. The pull-through sites are long, level, and somewhat narrow. We were able to avoid the tree and the log, and still be able to reach the utilities and open our bay doors. Most of the roads are paved which helped with the dust; until they speedily raked the sites. Water pressure was good. Cell Phone and Verizon MIFI worked well. Their signage was good. A few of the rules seemed excessive, like “Do not move the picnic tables”. The garbage truck came through at 5 am on Monday morning but other than that, it was a quiet park. We could even hear the Sand-hill cranes flying over. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed overnight in this park and found out we could manage with a 30 amp connection since 50 amp was not available. Good lesson for us. Site was a gravel pull through with full hook ups. Cable was available but we picked up stations well enough not to need it. Our AT&T phones and air card worked well enough. My only complaint would be the need for a good dog walk area, as everything was gravel or pavement. Would consider staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our vehicle broke down in Roswell and the people at this camp ground were very helpful in getting us set up while we waited for repairs. The RV lot is nothing spectacular: a lot of spots in a large gravel parking lot. But the owners were helpful and friendly. We especially appreciated the fact that they gave us an extended checkout and didn't charge us for an extra night when our vehicle was finally fixed at 4 pm and we were back on the road. This was an OK park, but odd. Perhaps that's part of being in Roswell? The office was never open, but you could call and get someone that way. When we did call to ask a question about the Wi-Fi, they were snippy. The pool was empty and closed for the season. We were looking forward to taking a swim since it was so warm, but no pool and it's not in their advertising. It's OK for a night, but we would not stay again for a few days as we did this trip. This campground is a nice campground. Sites are long. Plenty of room between sites. Services are good. Bathroom and shower is good. They have the 30amp covered up in the 50amp sites. The 30amp sites you can not use an adapter to a 50amp. The reason is suppose to be because one time a 30amp service burned up when being used by a 50amp RV. They blame it on using the adapter and not their breaker failure. They also do not allow you to walk your pet around the campground. I was chased down and told to not walk my dog around the camp. They said because people do not pickup after their pets. I showed them a bag with my dogs droppings and they didn't care. They limit you to the sides along the fence or the small or large dog fenced in areas. I will look into the other two campgrounds off 380 before I stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rarely have we stayed at a location that just did everything wrong like this site. The staff (when available) even at 2 pm on a weekday could not be found, resulting in a delay getting to our site. The park had a pungent odor of decay. The only place to walk the dog was on gravel - no grass. It was plain that their focus was not on customer service. It almost seems like they went out of their way to be rude when they didn’t need to be. It appears that much of the park is dedicated to day workers living out of small trailers. We were very apprehensive about going out after dark as it seems that many of the guests walked the road in packs or gangs. We were very disappointed and could never recommend this to a family or traveling couple. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

On the plus side Town and Country is convenient to town and boasts some of the longest gravel RV sites I have ever seen especially in an older park. All of the mechanical features worked, including the cable TV. The park is very well maintained, with containers for cigarette butts everywhere! Almost all sites are pull through. Service was efficient. On the downside the RV sites are back-to-front, and very close together. Not so close one could pass a cup of coffee from RV to RV, but too close. Lots of road noise and no features. Not attractive at all I am sad to say, but a good over night stop, not a destination. We would happily stay there again when passing through. I found this Good Sam park clean, and the staff friendly. It is not cheap however. It has long pull through sites, each with a picnic table. The showers and rest rooms were clean, and adults are welcome to use them. There is a sign on the door however stating that anyone under 18 must have an adult go with them to use the restrooms, and threatening eviction if the rules are not obeyed. There are lots of warning signs throughout the park that I have not seen elsewhere (do not do dishes in the rest room, do not use talc in the shower, etc.) There is a swimming pool, and free copies of the days newspaper are available at the office. Sprint internet reception is good, and cable television is provided. Sites are very level, and water pressure is great. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We chose this park because it had easy access from the south and it did. The directions for arrival were very good. The pull through sites were some of the best we have ever been in. The sites were large enough for our 45' motorhome and tow car and wide enough for four slides. If you have a 50 amp RV they don't allow you to stay in a 30 amp site. The sites are gravel but the streets are paved. They advertise wi-fi in the travel sites but the only place to get it is at the office and then it's slower than dial up; useless really. Shore Services: 50amp, sewer good and water@ 45 psi. No Wi-Fi, however the AT&T cell phone had a good signal. The Sprint air card had poor signal, the Verizon air card had a good signal but roaming. Cable TV was good. The roads are asphalt and the site was gravel, level, wide and very long. I could park my truck either behind or in front of the trailer. Site was wide enough to put out the awings. Clean, very good restrooms and laundry: $1.25 for both wash and dry. Quite a few monthly tenants on back row. Neat and clean: no problems, almost don't know they are there. Directv satellite reception was good from front of site. They grant Good Sams discounts, paid with a credit card. They charge more for 50amp. If you have a 50amp RV you can not use their 30amp sites. They don't allow the use of 30 to 50amp adapters. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here two nights at the end of August. The campground was quiet. I suspect this is the park's off-season. We did not find the spaces to be narrow. We loved the 90' long pull-throughs with full hookups. There was lots of space for our 40' motorhome with four slide-outs and our tow vehicle. The roadways are paved and wide. The trees need to be trimmed up a bit higher as our antenna hit several on the exit road. The owner/manager was great. If you are assigned to space 75 or 76, unhook your tow vehicle as the turn into the space cannot be made with a 40' motorhome. We did not hear any road noise and we were not that far from the road. The park is very clean and the spaces are gravel. There are two small dog runs which were perfect for our puppies. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a convenient park from which to visit Roswell. No adapters are allowed on the 30amp sites. Most of our camping is done with 30amp, but we were forced to take a 50 amp site. The 30 amp sites are $30 per night, the 50 amp sites are $35. There were many vacant 30 amp sites in a large pull through area. Our 50 amp site was also pull through but we were packed in between 2 permanent residents. There are only a few 50 amp sites. All sites are close, gravel, but pretty level. We've stayed at this park several times - it seems there's more full timers now. Park is quiet, accepts Good Sams & seems well maintained. We arrived after hours & followed the check in directions posted outside the office. When we paid for our site the following morning no one was in the office. I would rather have used our credit card, but chose not to since the rules outside the office direct campers to fill out an envelope with name & address & then to write your credit card number & expiration on the back of the envelope & then push the envelope thru a slot in the wall of the office. Good Sam rate for 30 amp FHU with cable. There is wi-fi, but we could not get on. Very limited capacity, you might be able to get on near the router, but not from your RV. The 30 amp sites are side by side hookups. Interesting thing is 3 20 amp breakers for the two 30 amp plugs. So you either plug in to a live outlet or turn off the power to the other site. While I am new to this RVing thing, I must say that this was the best place I have stayed so far. Wide and Clean spaces. Wonderful staff people at the camp office. Door codes are used for showers and laundry room. The showers are "CLEAN"! Real Clean! Very Handicapped friendly too. I am a smoker, and they ask that you clean up your cig butts and keep them off the grounds which is "A-OK" with me. Don't blame them at all. Pet owners have a wonderful pet walk and a scooper for Bowzer's mess to pick up with and dispose of. If you are going out to eat don't bother going South on Main Street, just go North and that will put you in touch with all types of eateries. Swimming pool was closed, I suppose that they close it like most around Labor Day Weekend. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice park to stay in for over night. It was easy to find and good ingress and egress. I was very disappointed when it came to the swimming pool. When we stopped the temperature was 98degrees so a good swim would be in order. The park closes the pool at 6 p.m. They really need to re-think their pool hours. Since I couldn't swim or get on the internet, (no wi-fi) I decided to do laundry. Again, nice facility, but no fan to cool the room and the chairs were bolted to the floor so you couldn't prop open the door. I spoke with one family, who actually got to get in the pool before being booted out, and he said the park felt like a prison with all the signs and rules. I did count 7 "curb your pet" signs on the road by the office. A bit over board I think. We camped here in a Motorhome.

OK campground but it is located near a fairly busy intersection so there is some traffic noise. Staff is friendly & helpful. Main roads are paved but the remainder are gravel. Half of the park appears to be a trailer park, which is separated from the RV part by a chain link fence. Several RV's on the 'RV' side appear to be residents as evidenced by the stationary propane tanks sitting outside their RV's. There are a couple of strategically placed dog runs. Large shade trees, bbq grills & picnic tables are available at each site. Park is clean & provides easy access to highways. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I'd give this park a 9 except I don't care for side-by-side hook-ups. Very nice park overall; clean, reasonably sized, level sites with very clean and updated restrooms, showers and laundry. Easy in and out for our 30 ft class A. We enjoyed the town of Roswell, it felt small but seemed to have everything you'd need. Happy Jack's Trading Post for used books and a huge variety of beads was a really cool place recommended by the lady at the RV park office. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice clean park. We liked it very much. They also offer free cable tv. We were surprised at how large the town is. The UFO Museum and Research Center is a "Must See" place!! Very interesting. We would stay here again, and would like to visit the museum again because there is so much to see and read. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a private park near the highway but noise wasn't a problem. Very nice and well groomed. A dairy was upwind and got "ripe" when the wind shifted. But, the prevailing winds are away from the park so this doesn't seem to be an ongoing problem. Owners live on site and watch things closely. Didn't see any full timers but some of the residents had been there for extended periods, most likely for work. Wi-Fi was good. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. The road in front of the park has construction in progress. Roads within the park are good. We had a pull-through site which was level, and there was room enough to park the car beside the motorhome. Sites are gravel, with a small concrete patio and picnic table. There were trees between the sites in our area - they were trimmed to prevent problems with slides and they did provide some shade. All utilities worked well, as did the cable TV and Wi-Fi. We did not check out bathrooms/showers or the laundry, so can't comment on them. Owners were usually present, and they were friendly and helpful. There is quite a bit of traffic going in and out of the park, but we did not see a single vehicle exceeding the 5 mph speed limit. We enjoyed our stay and will choose this park again when we visit Roswell. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older campground where the owners have taken the pride, care and effort to update where possible. The owner greeted us upon arrival and was extremely helpful. This park is just bare bones, it has gravel roads and a small concrete pad at most pull thru sites. I went to wash this morning and all three washing machines were working but of the 4 dryers only one is in operation. Now I have to go down the road with wet laundry. The park is probably the best one in the town, but that doesn't say much. The owner was friendly. The WIFI was slow. Verizon doesn't work in this town. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived in Roswell after escaping a snow storm up in Amarillo. We escaped the snow and drove into a dust storm! We chose this park based on the reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. Our hosts greeted us like old friends and provided us with lots of information and suggestions on where to go and what to see in the area. The park is neat and tidy with gravel , level sites. Each one with a concrete pad and picnic table. The laundry has a good number of washers and dryers, a vending machine and a book swap library. Internet connection was quick which was much appreciated because we had no coverage with our Verizon jet pack. We initially booked in for a couple of days but ended up extending. We had great neighbors (fellow RV ers). The owners live on site and they obviously take a lot of care and have pride in their park. They were trimming trees, weeding etc the whole time we were there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here two nights. The manager was very personable and helpful. She provided us with a Roswell magazine that gave us excellent information about the city as well as listings for things to do, places to eat, etc. She clearly wanted us to enjoy our visit. We received a discounted rate because we paid by check rather than credit card. The park is located on the east side of the city so we were not bothered by excessive noise. She recommended Peppers grill for dinner, an excellent place, very good food, and excellent service. We would stay here again. Great place! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed here after reading wonderful reviews, and I was disappointed. I arrived after making a reservation and being told one price on the phone, I was charged more upon arrival. My Good Sam membership was not honored and I did not receive any discount, I was instead informed that their rates were better than Good Sam anyway. There were ants everywhere and the lot wasn't level, making it difficult to park and dump. I have a 30 amp trailer that should have been 27.50 per night according to their site, but I was charged 30.50 per night instead. The laundry was OK, but not the cleanest I have ever seen by any means. The bathroom and showers were OK but definitely needed to be cleaned more often. I paid for several days up front, but left a day early, they didn't even offer to return my payment for that day either. I am not certain if I arrived at a bad time or what, but I was far from happy with my stay. So beware... Stay at your own risk! I gave them a 4 because the park itself is very appealing at first glance, but that's about where it ends! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived at 2ish and the park was already filling up. It is a small but very well-maintained park. The exterior U-shape is for back-ins. They have a long center row for pull-through. The lane is very wide. Sites are well designed for ease of parking. It is located on the eastern edge of Roswell and convenient to downtown. Shower faucets turn on/off the reverse way (lefty on right off). As we left the park heading west toward 285, were able to park our rig in the lot at Cowboy Cafe and have a nice breakfast. Very friendly manager. For $30.00 you get full hook ups (50 amp) and cable. Power was clean and water pressure was good. Our site had one of most level sites we've ever stayed at. Good sized concrete pads with a nice picnic table that has a BBQ rack on the end. That is a good idea since the table and bench are PVC. The sites are close but our slides cleared just fine. We'll stay here anytime we are looking to visit aliens. If you are staying in the area, be sure to take a drive to the old Walker AFB. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While convenient to downtown Roswell and with friendly owners, we were disappointed with our stay. The pull-thru sites are adequate in length; however, they are very close together and privacy is at a premium. In our case, the slides with attached storage extended over the patio area, and because the picnic table was bolted to the cement we were unable to open any compartments in that area. The security lights are extremely bright and annoying; the whole coach was lit throughout the night. On our second night, the wind shifted and we were treated to the smell of a feeder lot, so although it was pleasant outside, we had to close the windows and turn on the air. It's a shame; it would be a nice park with a little more attention to detail. We'll pick another park in the area next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean and well-managed park in a nice quiet area of rural properties and farms, yet close to downtown area with UFO museum and other extraterrestrial-related sites. Excellent Wi-Fi service, pet friendly (we have 3 big dogs). Owners go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and gave lots of good information on surrounding areas for site-seeing, etc. Previous review mentioned agricultural smell, but there was no evidence of this during our week-long stay here. I was very disappointed after reading other reviews. Yes, the owners were hard working and very helpful, but I feel the Park fell short. The pull through sites are in the center and are paved and gravel, but all of the other sites are on dirt and grass. It does rain occasionally in New Mexico and the place became muddy. The side sites only had 30 amp. The wireless signal was non-existent. We were told that if we went to the laundry (at the far end) we could get a signal. Verizon gave a good cell phone signal. The bathrooms and showers were clean but minimal. Next time in the area, I'll look for another place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is located about one mile from downtown Roswell. Most of the sites are taken by contract medical personnel who work in the local hospitals. Roads and sites are gravel. Short-term stays are placed in one of the pull-throughs sites if available. Each of the pull-throughs have a picnic table. There is a laundry facility on site. There are two showers and restrooms each for men and women. The city is near feed lots so expect some odor depending on the direction of the wind. The park residents were very friendly and kept their sites clean. Owners are on site and helpful. This park only accepted Good Sam at the time we stayed. We camped here in a 32’ fifth wheel. If we passed through again, we would stay at the other park down the street since they offer a discount and are about $10 cheaper with the discount. Otherwise, we would camp here again. The park is right next to a farm and the dust from the field was always blowing in our trailer. Due to the fact that I have allergies that was not pleasant to say the least. I would not recommend this park to anyone. We arrived late in the pouring rain, with no indication of our site number. We got the RV stuck looking for an empty site. The next morning, I spoke to the owner. He had lost our reservation, but according to him, everything that went wrong was our own fault. He said he worked 12 hours a day. I'm sorry about that, but he shouldn't have lost our reservation. It should have been posted in clear view. The scrap of paper we did find, indicated a security guard could help us after hours. He became hostile and said a security guard was not necessary and getting our 30 foot RV with dolly and car on the back, stuck, was not his fault. We did receive help from one of the RVer's who heard the commotion outside his door. We camped here in a Motorhome.

On our second pass through Roswell we spent a night here and found the staff to be very friendly and laid-back. They have two large tanks of Piranhas in the office, very cool! Our pull-through space wasn't quite big enough to fit our 27' motorhome with our car dolly and car on the back. Hookups were good. A smaller park with what seems to be mostly full-time residents. Close to Roswell and the UFO Museum. Recommended for a short-term stay. Make sure to have breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe down the street while you're here! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean park. Cable was a little snowy on lower channels. Would stay again. There is a $3.00 extra charge for 50 amp. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little campground with a friendly staff which were also the owners. There were a few full time 5th wheels on site. It didn't detract from the place at all. Your right in Roswell and easy access to the city. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park advertised as being "closest RV park to town," which proved to be true; however, they were not close enough to walk/bike into town. They failed to note that they are located in "dairy country" which proved to have an over abundance of flies and smell of manure. For those reasons, we would not stay there again. One night there and we were very anxious to hit the road. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
