Camped in the electric hookup area and there are only 7 available. Vault toilets nearby that had not been maintained. Water spigot was locked due to recent main break but ranger came by to unlock during the day. Wonderful scenery, great hikes and bike trails. Nearby Santa Fe was a bonus for day trips. Busy road up to park created noise during the day. Dump station available but also locked, rangers friendly and unlocked for us. Visitor Center empty, no trail maps, etc. No phone service on Verizon but got signal up at Aspen Vista parking and down the mountain near Santa Fe. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Highest of New Mexico's state parks (8,800'), so it tends to be cool in the summer. Convenient to Santa Fe (only about 12 miles to town). Downsides: highway noise, gloomy sites (you won't get much solar power here!), unlevel sites, narrow roads, dump station never open in all the times I've been there (I hear you can get staff to open it for you, but the office is never open either, so good luck finding a ranger!), generally gloomy and dark due to heavy forestation. Oh, and I should mention that to get here from Santa Fe, you must drive through some *very* narrow old streets and take some really tight turns at intersections. In anything longer than about 25', this can be a very stressful experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's a state park, so there is no cable or internet; but it is in a beautiful area in the mountains above Santa Fe. Quiet at night. Nice hike along the ridge line (strenuous). Had to run the ranger down in the morning to get him to unlock the dump station. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We picked this campground for the proximity to downtown and shopping, ie groceries, etc. The campground is about 15 min drive to downtown, depending on traffic, which can be heavy. Even though the road was nearby, traffic noise was minimal. There is a paved walking/biking trail accessed from the back of the campground, which goes all the way into downtown. Each site has its own large trash can for your trash...no walking to a dumpster. The staff were very nice and helpful. Sites are dirt but no problem leveling and our site, #32 was quite large. Cannot comment on Wi-Fi as we used our own personal hotspot. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I chose this park because it was closer to town and had cable tv per the reviews I read. It is closer to town, but no cable. Our antenna would not pick up anything. The owner who is very nice said she knew nothing about TV (the channels are listed in her brochure). OK, TV is important to me. We asked for a 50amp pull thru. We got one, but the 50amp plug is in the center of the site , while the water is in the back. We needed a longer water hose. The biggest problem about this park is that no one seems to know anything when you ask a question. We needed propane, but the person that handles that was on vacation and the fill in guy wasn't qualified to fill it and didn't know how much they charged. This place has a lot of potential and I understand the owner has only had it a year. She is very nice and I am sure will get it running smoothly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good Sam rate. Convenient location, regular bus service into downtown Santa Fe. A senior day pass costs a dollar! Considering the parking issues in Santa Fe, a real bargain. Buses every 15 minutes, stop very close to park. Pull throughs are a bit tight for a long rig (we are 60") due to concrete bollards at end of sites. Had to jockey a bit to get in, might have been a problem if the park had been full. Friendly and helpful owners. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean park with Friendly and helpful owners. We would stay here again. Close to Old Santa Fe. Located right off a main road so you will have some road noise if your put in the front sites. The park roads are gravel as our the sites so you have some dust as people drive past. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Funky, former KOA (or so it would appear) with rather haphazardly laid out roads and sites. Roads are narrow and dirt/gravel. Sites vary in size, width, and proximity to other rigs. Sites are mostly dirt, not too level. Picnic tables are included along with fire pits. Staff was very friendly. Wi-Fi was strong. Satellite worked well also. About ten minutes to Santa Fe. Very quiet. Laundry is expensive per load ($2). No discount on daily/wkly price. Park could use some polishing. We would probably return though. We are camped in a 35' RV and there is room for both our rig and our truck. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights. Very tight in some areas, but there are a lot of pull-throughs for larger rigs. Kind of old school camping in the woods. Some spots are very secluded and nice. There are some not too good spots which we ended up in because of Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. All the parks are full and they all raised the rates. Laundry was pretty clean, but very old equipment. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located about 15 miles from Santa Fe along Hwy 285/84, this is a no frills park with full hook up. Sites are gravel, no trees, no grass but plenty of goat heads. We found it hard to walk our dog. We were unable to pick up any of the major Santa Fe television channels and Wi-Fi was sporadic at best. Our AT&T phones and air card did not work here. There were no restrooms or showers at this park. On the positive side, there are several casino's in the area and the young man who checked us in was friendly and efficient. Good enough for a one night stay, which we would do again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

First off this campground is NOT in Santa Fe, it is on the Pueblo of Pojoaque. It is about 20 miles north of Santa Fe off of Highway 84. It is just very basic, no frills. For the location this is not a bad price. Closer to Santa Fe there are more frills but the prices are higher. This is a good location so that it is a nice drive into Taos or Santa Fe to see the sights. Also there is an excellent casino just a half mile away called Buffalo Thunder. Great buffet dinner, $10.95 Prime Rib dinner and beautiful architecture and decorations. Also the Poeh Center, across the road from the RV park is a showcase for Indian art and culture. We stayed here for a week and enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We moved to this location after reading about it. You get what you pay for. We got full hookups close to the center of town. It was no frills, but the price was right. The location was quiet and secure. There are enough channels to get some decent television with your antenna. The only complaint was the need for a long sewer hose. Luckily I had that. Other than that, this place was great for the price. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

In town location, great price. Not busy. Sandy sites, a bit unlevel with bonus horse droppings in your site. Gated entry, safe area and very quiet at night. Would stay again instead of paying twice as much or more at the other campgrounds. 30 amp only, back-in only. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The campground is right next to the arena which was fine. There was an issue of what to do with our trash. The manager expected us to walk around the arena near a residence (trailer) on the other side of the arena. When I called the owner, he made the manager place a trash barrel near us. Other than that, it was fine. The campground is very basic but adequate. We stayed here with other RVers for a Habitat for Humanity build and got a $5 break on the nightly fee so it only cost us $15/night. A bonus for us was the barrel racing that happened every Wednesday night. Horse trailers pulled up and we were treated to a couple of hours of friendly club competition. The location is good and on the outskirts of town but still close to everything. We probably would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This KOA is very well maintained. All sites have a grill, and picnic bench & on site play/game room. Staff is very helpful. Location is a great spot for getting the real feel of Santa Fe. Also, very close to great restaurants, and easy access to I-25 and Santa Fe Plaza area. Cleanest bathrooms I have seen in any KOA. All amenities work. Don't miss this one if going to Santa Fe. They even put up with us while looking/calling for our lost cat. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When we checked in we were assigned site F-6. This is not a good site as tree limbs were hitting our motor home and there was not enough room to extend our awning. This site is way out of level. The staff did move us to a roomier and more level site. The staffer in the office guided us to downtown Santa Fe. FYI, there is an RV parking lot on Alameda Street: see map provided by campground. We would stay here again only if we were given a decent site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The park is easy to get to & from Interstate 25. Although the park was located near the Interstate, it was pretty quiet as it is on the edge of town. The view of the city lights at night was quite pleasant. The park was built on a slope so the sites were tiered but not necessarily level. The interior roads and sites were gravel. The pull through sites were long enough to accommodate our motorhome and toad. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer connections – and an outside table which was not on an all weather hard surface pad. The utility connections were towards the end of the site so you might need a lot of hose. There are no trees in the area so there was no encroachment on the sites & road. There was sufficient room to open slides. As there were no obstructions to the southern sky satellite reception was good. There were a few back-in sites. The free WiFi reception was satisfactory. There didn’t seem to be any long term residents in the park. The fenced pet area was located in the middle of the park. The surface was fine bark over a landscape fabric. Some of the fabric was exposed due to the lack of bark. The area had a couple of bag dispensers and waste collection cans. There was a walking trail along the edge of the park to walk. Dogs were welcome on the trail. There were bag dispensers along the trail to pick up waste. We used the restroom/shower building. It was very clean and modern. We didn’t use the laundry room. There was a large multi-purpose room in the main building which was very nice. No pool or hot tub. The office staff was very interactive as they own the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sits atop a mesa and can be windy and hot but beautiful scenery and views of Santa Fe. Very helpful, friendly staff who refunded one night when we decided to leave early. We liked the fact that this park was easy to get to off I-25. The best part of this park was the very nice dog-walking trail that went around the park. However, the sites were vary narrow and without shade. Since it was late April shade wasn't important. But in the summer this might have a negative impact. The most disappointing situation was with the young man who checked us in. When I filled out the registration I chose a pull-through site which $39 as the price. Then I saw farther down on the form that they offered discounts for Good Sam members. So I asked him what the price would be after the discount. His response was that $39 was with the discount applied. I questioned his response and he insisted he was right, so I didn't argue with him. I should also point out that he was on his cell phone the entire time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate paid is based on a one week stay. Excellent location close to all that Santa Fe offers. Park is on a busy street, so there is a lot of road noise. We had one of the premium back-in sites at the back of the park so it was quieter. These sites also back up to a wide band of grass and trees, very pleasant. All sites have a picnic table and are pretty close together. The RV park allows people 21 and up only, and is attached to a 55+ mobile home park. The parks wi-fi was decent. On-site laundry is small, but inexpensive. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I would give higher rating if th price were a bit lower. Level gravel sites on the main street with any store you might desire nearby. Lots of shade trees. No pool or spa. Clean showers, though each stall is small. Off-leash dog area at the far end of the park past the 55+ manufactured home retirement section. Friendly office staff. The park is well maintained. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Well maintained park that has spacious sites. Someone here has a sense of humor: "Please Pitch Pet Poo Properly." Robust recycling program: comingled steel & aluminum cans, paper, plastic bottles, cardboard, separate container for glass. We did not like the stupid and mean spirited statement we had to sign at check in agreeing that any harm to ourselves or our property would be our own fault. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
