Oh the stories this place could tell. Cactus RV park is situated right on Route 66 in the midst of town. Rate reflects Passport America. We pulled in later in the evening and checking in was simple. We were immediately led to our spot by the very gracious owner/hostess by pulling through the ruins of an old stone motor lodge that was once probably booked to capacity many, many years ago, and now stands in total disrepair. The sites are pull through and level, with full hook ups. Wi-Fi worked great - did not try out the cable. Most of town has gone out of business and buildings stand as a reminder of once was a bustling route, but a few restaurants and touristy type of places remain. This wouldn't be my idea of a 'destination' RV park - but if you're going through the area and like a bit history and/or nostalgia, this is a great place for a couple of nights to check things out. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is my second visit to this RV park. I paid the PA rate. It is right on route 66 in town. The owners are very friendly and helpful--true hosts. The park is clean, tidy and well maintained. Sites are easy to get through and level. All the hookups are handy and in good condition. I am amused by the quirky motel that is around it--it is no longer being used and it is apparent that the RV park was built in what was the courtyard. Of course all along 66 in town there are restaurants--check Yelp for helpful reviews. There is a grocery store at the west end of town and you can get propane at the Conoco on the east end of town. Between the park and the Conoco is a Kmart. Down the street a few blocks on the north side of the street is a nice laundromat. You will know it by the washer woman sign above it. I like the quirkiness of Tucumcari and I really like this park and look forward to staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a defunct motor court on US66 built a LONG time ago. We stayed in the middle of the court: nice level gravel pull through, easy hook-up, the man of the park guided us in. The train is not far away but it didn't bother us. Nice place for an overnight stay. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rustic park with few amenities. Nice level site and long enough to keep our Jeep hooked up over night. Very nice owners and, when my husband was working on our antenna, one of the owners ran out to see if he could help. Trees have been planted and are growing but there are some shady sites in the park also. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here a few times before. It is OK PPA park for an overnight. Friendly owners, level sites, good hook ups, and cable TV with 50 some channels. We will stay a again if this way. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The owners of this park are very nice. The park is a little rustic it has full hookups-50amp, sewer, cable and free wifi. There are no restrooms or showers. There isn't a playground or anything for kids. This is a great place to just spend time in between your major cities. The sites are gravel pull through and very long so you can leave your car hooked up if needed. It is easy off I-40 and right on old route 66. There are some restaurants in town, McDonalds, Sonic, Subway, Pizza Hut and some locally owned like Del's just down the street from the park. If you need a relaxing place with very few attractions and you have everything you need in your trailer or motorhome then I recommend this place. We liked it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was the site of the old Cactus Motor Lodge built in the 1930's; it's been converted into an RV park since the construction of Interstate 40 killed Route 66 and put so many of the old motels out of business. It's not a luxury park by any means but we found it quite charming in its way. Gravel sites were fairly level and adequately long enough for our 29' motorhome + the vintage 'canned ham' we were towing. I was amused by the park's website; there must be some RV park wars going on in Tucumcari! However, I would stay here again if we ever come back this way. Del's Restaurant is nearby and has some of the best food I've ever tasted. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here overnight traveling from East to West. Upon arrival the owner met us at the driveway and ran ahead of us, guiding us to our spot. The site was gravel, level with good water pressure and excellent WiFi & 50 amp. We would stay here again traveling through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is Passport America rate for cash payment. No bathhouse or showers. Nice level gravel pull-throughs though little space between, some shaded, excellent water & electric, free Wi-Fi works great, easy access, very helpful staff, very peaceful location on old US 66 near downtown; Del's Restaurant 1/2 block away was very good. We would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnighter and a great rate with Passport America. Close to the highway exit, walk to town (Del's is a restaurant nearby, not affiliated with the park). Fast internet, cable TV, full hookups, and large pull throughs. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnight park. Passport America rate is only $19 for 50 amp. Everything worked fine. Long level pull-throughs. Not that impressed with Del's. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is for PA with cable TV and 50 amp. We have stayed here a few times before and it is a good deal at the PA rate. Good free wifi, the cable TV is good, level gravel sites and really friendly owners. I will stay here again if in the area. Dels Restaurant close by has good food. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The sites are nice but the office needs a lot of work. The staff are nice and she was even out front waiting for us waving us in. There were no amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is Good Sam discount with taxes, full hookup, 30 amp. Nice long sites. The person who checked me in made a big issue of saying, "Just like it says on the internet," after every sentence. Hmmm: wonder what that was about. Spacing is a bit close, but heck, it's just an overnight park, which is what is advertised. Close (walking distance) to restaurants. Good Wi-Fi. Cable TV has lots of channels, and guess what? This park supplies the cable, don't need to use your own cable. No laundry facilities, unfortunately. Didn't see any showers or bathrooms, either. Not bad for a cheap overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Location is very convenient when transitioning from I 40 onto Hwy 54. Owner was very friendly and took into consideration our desire to be on the road early the next morning, giving us an easy in and out site away from the other units. The park is part of the old Route 66 that is always interesting to see. Would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place to stay over night, the best in town, Owners are very helpful and nice. Sites are gravel with long level pull throughs, full hook ups, good Wi-Fi, and cable TV. The park is very clean and walking distant from town. No extras but everything needed. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Close quarters but friendly, helpful staff and clean. Located in a town. We had second thoughts when we saw it was in town, but it really was fine. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The rating of 6 is only because of the park being in Tucumcari. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. The sites are gravel, level, FHU, and great internet. The owners are very friendly and the park is kept very clean. If you pay cash with PA it would only be about $18.00. We will stay again next time we come through the area. The park is also within 3 blocks of Del's restaurant. If you exit 332, there is a RV friendly gas station on the left with diesel less than everyone else. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park owners are very helpful and friendly. The sites were level and the owner directed us to our site. The park is an older park located on old Route 66 and within walking distance of Del's restaurant for dinner and Kicks 66 for an excellent breakfast. We only stayed one night but would choose this park again if we are in the Tucumcari area. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
Very friendly staff at check-in. Sites were level with shade. All utilities work great with cable TV. Great overnight spot. Good food at Del’s within walking distance. A no frills overnight, no showers, no restrooms, no pool, no playground, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the best places we have ever overnighted. Check-in is very simple. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Sites are gravel, level, and wide. All hookups are located in the proper location and well maintained. Easy walking distance to restaurant so if you don't want to unhook a meal is nearby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very tidy, very friendly, all-new hookups and good Wi-Fi (which is necessary in eastern NM where AT&T is non-existent). For $20, perfect overnight stop on the actual Route 66. No showers/restrooms, but no problem, as we prefer to use our own rig. Walked out tonight to take pictures of the cool neon signs all around. Last time we were through here we stayed at the Flying J for free. Much nicer (and quieter) to stay in an "atmospheric" Route 66 park for $20. We really appreciated the care and attention of the staff. We will stop here again next time we pass through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
My review is consistent with the others. Very basic no frills park. Flat level spaces. High point of the stay was the very short walk to a nearby restaurant, Del's. The management staff on site were extremely polite and helpful. Goof park for an over night stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnight stop. Sites are level, wide pull throughs. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rate show was for Passport America. I would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here as an overnight stay. No permanent campers at all. You must realize this town is the typical Rt. 66 town which Rt. 40 has killed, so the RV campgrounds are surrounded with businesses that have long been gone. This campground's website doesn't lie. The sites are level and clean. The electric is perfect with good water pressure. Best cable TV signal of our trip so far. Staff is nice, helpful and will lead you to your site. It appears this was once a motel and is now a campground as the motel part is boarded up. Quiet place away from the highway. Would stay here again. The RV park up by the Flying J is more convenient to Rt. 40, but we quickly passed due to the lack of trees and non-stop parade of trucks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
High mark because it is cheap and quiet. Low mark because there is no bath, shower, or laundry facilities. That said, the owners are very helpful and the park is well kept up, that is it is clean. Everything worked. Would stop here again. Just what you need in an overnight stop. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A good place to stop if using Passport America; rate includes 50A service charge. As previous raters have stated, nothing fancy, but if you arrive early enough you can get one of the sites sheltered by trees to help block the ever-present wind. The owners are very friendly and guided us to the site. Hookups were very good and centrally located. Verizon Aircard worked, but very slow; however, the free park wireless worked well. Dogs barking in the surrounding neighborhood were an irritant but not overly intrusive. Just down the street from Del's, the town's best restaurant, a clean, friendly place to eat. The PA rate and friendly owners make it likely we'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nothing fancy, but has about 45 cable TV channels and excellent Wi-Fi. Sand interior roads and sites. Quiet, other then inconsiderate dog owners outside of the park. Ear plugs are needed then. Easy in and out with a HDT and 35 ft trailer (60 foot long combo). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice and friendly couple. No amenities, bathrooms, laundry or pool. But very clean, affordable, great Wifi and cable. Would stay here again, easy in and out. They do not take credit cards, but will take an out of state check. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice and quiet, surrounding buildings block some wind. Utilities and WiFi worked well. There are NO bathrooms or showers, so you must be self-contained. Restaurants, gas and markets close by, but were closed on Sunday. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park with very friendly owners. Nothing fancy here, but a good overnight stop and they're next door to the #1 Trip Advisor restaurant in town: Del's. Spaces were large, electrical boxes appeared to be new and the spaces in the rear are well away from any highway or railroad noise. WiFi worked superbly. The front of the place is a great old Rte 66 motel. While the rooms are no longer available for occupancy, it's a fun place to stroll around and see what an old 1940's motor court looked like. We'd surely stay here again. Rate is Passport America rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Cactus RV is on the site of a 1950's tourist court. Some of the old units are still standing, but not usable. Park is gravel and dirt (eastern NM), but clean. Management was very helpful. Wiring, plumbing looked to be pretty new. Everything worked as it should. We used the park for an overnight, but would use them again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park owners are real nice people. I pulled in during the wind, they met us at our rig, told us to follow them to the site and after hookup come in and register which we did. This basic, older park is good for a stop over. The sites were level, all I did was drop stabilizers, plug in, put water in, and was good to go. This was a quiet park. The owners make it nice and friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
What can be said! It is what it is. The $18 is the Passport America rate. Paying rack rate would be too much. I don't know about any of the facilities as we did not need them but the site was level, long enough for our 55', Wi-Fi worked well, power was stable, etc., so there are no complaints other than the buildings are a work in progress where it does not appear that any work has been progressing recently. Still it is worth the extra time away from the interstate, and the owner was more than helpful. Well worth coming back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a stopover park, not a destination park, and is located about 2 miles off the Interstate. Check out their website, it says it all. The price reflects a Passport America discount. The sites are level and gravel and 50 amp electrical was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A restaurant is within easy walking distance. Although there are RV parks closer to the Interstate the price is worth the 2 mile drive with no traffic noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Passport America. Certainly an older park, but we were very happy with it. 50 amp, Wi-Fi, cable TV and plenty of pull through sites available. Not many trees so it is good for satellite. Quiet. The owner bends over backward to please. The Kiva-Aok park was right next door and appeared to have many undesirable long term tenants. Cactus RV does not appear that way. We certainly will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Many other campgrounds in the area. This one was Passport America and the discount is why we chose this one. It turned out to be a jewel for an overnight stay. Customer service was the best I have ever seen. Even before we could get set up, management was on the site to insure everything was satisfactory and even replaced a marginal cable TV connector to make sure I had the best signal available. Wi-Fi was great and FREE. Cable channels (46) were analog but good reception. Many restaurants within an easy walk if you want to eat out. Sites were level and spaced well for slideouts on both sides. Will be back, on the return trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very rustic park, the price is right. If you are not acquainted with Route 66 old towns, this location might seem a bit seedy, but it is not. It represents a good safe spot to stay overnight, for a very reasonable price. It is quiet. Full hook-ups, cable TV, everything works well. No common toilets or showers. People in office are very nice. It is what it is, as is the town itself. I'll stay here again on next trip through. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a Passport America park, so we paid 1/2 price. We were traveling through to our destination, and this was a good park for a stop-over. We were able to have a pull-through so didn't have to unhook "the toad." Internet was good. There is an old, unused motel on site which gives you memories of old Route 66. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great owners of the park. There were very helpful and friendly. This is an old motel property that has been converted. That leads to the charm for me. I only give it a lower rating because there is no security. Our site was along a side road, right next to the road. Neighbors across the street made me a little nervous but the owners said they know everybody. We had no problems though, I just prefer more security. That said I would go back and I'll just ask for a site inside the motel court or not next to the road. You can't beat the price and friendliness for a 50 amp full hookup. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Best to say the park is 'rustic'. But it is inexpensive, and great for an overnight. I was surprised to see upscale rigs and almost no clunkers. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is great. It has a very strong Internet connection(that alone makes my day), friendly staff, and easy in and out. It's in town on old 66 and a nice quiet place. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Interesting park located in the surrounding parking lots of a long closed 50's style Route 66 motel. Owner is very friendly and helpful in getting settled on your site. All sites are gravel, with a few having trees for shade. Very long and level pull through sites. Utilities were good. A nice place for an overnight stay. We stayed one night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice overnight spot and is owned by a nice couple who are most helpful. I found that some of the comments about "the old buildings" needing maintenance to be off the mark. Whomever made those comments is obviously not familiar with Route 66 and the number of old and historic buildings. Some of which I remember staying at, as a child while traveling with my parents. This is one of those places that is now an RV park. I found myself wishing that I could walk through some of the old motels but that is not possible. The park is well maintained and quiet. The spaces are at a nice distance from each other. Wi-Fi is good and fast. I even found the cable TV had Diamondbacks games on the Arizona sports channel. I have stayed here a number of times as it is midway between my usual travel places and will continue to stop here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I agree with most other reviews. It seems to be an old motel converted into RV parking. The grounds are neat, have good electric and water. I believe the owner lives on site and is very accommodating. Not close to traffic, so it is quiet. Wi-fi works great, and good cable TV. Would stop here again on our adventures. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Pictures on web site look better than the actual park. However, for overnight or two, it is OK. Long roomy pull-throughs with full hook up. On-site managers very nice. The park needs a lot of maintenance to the surrounding buildings. Wi-Fi worked well. Fee is Good Sam. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a good stopover for a night. Easy to get to from I-40. Park is clean, the owner friendly. Their RV Park is all stone but clean and there is adequate space between rigs. We travel with our pets and the owner told us we could walk them in back. If we were passing that way again we would stop for a night at this RV Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We just came in for an overnight. Rate reflects Passport America. Owner and wife were very nice and helpful. Park is a work in progress. We stayed in the rear portion. Cable TV is in but not working yet in the rear section. Front section would probably have road noise, back section has residential noise, like barking dogs. Pick your poison. Not much in Tucumcari; looks like the demise of Rte 66 had a hard hit on the place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Previous reviewer right on the money with the review. Good overnight stop, no restrooms or laundry. Sites are either dirt or gravel but no road noise. We had a Passport rate and the owners are most accommodating. Nice area to run/walk our 2 dogs. We'd stop here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very basic park that is best used as an overnight place to park. The park does not have restrooms or showers but the Wi-Fi worked fine, as did the cable TV. The sites are gravel as is all of the interior roads. The gentleman that runs the park was very pleasant and he escorted us to our site. The park was very convenient to anything go on in the old Route 66 area of Tucumcari. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnight RV park when traveling through this area. Easy in and out and right on old route 66 in Tucumcari. Street noise in minimal. For the price $20.50, cleanliness, and the convince you can not beat this park including the one park on the east of Tucumcari that charges $35.00. In the past we passed up this RV park twice because there were few RVs in the park - we thought the park must be a pit - we were wrong. The owners are excellent and go out of their way to assist you. Wi-Fi is strong and has ample cable TV channels. We will definitely stay here again in are snowbird travels to and from Arizona. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground is neat and clean, easy to get into sites, right on Hwy 66 - still quiet - Owner was pleasant and helpful in getting us parked; gave us a perfect spot so our kitties could watch the birds. Would definitely stay here again. We just camped over-night here. Long ample pull-throughs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park was clean and the owner was helpful. The office is an old Route 66 Motel. We did not notice much noise. There are no restrooms. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is definitely a place to hang your hat for the night but nothing more. The grounds are pretty run down and lack of general maintenance is evident everywhere. The office staff was helpful and friendly but that's about the only thing to brag about. Sites were level, but close together - some right next to the road. It was quite noisy until late night hours when traffic dies down and things get pretty quiet. Water, electric, and sewer connections were fine - including a large quantity of cable TV wire lying on the ground; which we did not use. Next time we're in the area, we'll check some of the other nearby sites first, but would stay here again if needed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here before and it is still a good overnight place. No frills. Price is Passport America with 50 amp. All pull through sites with good Wi-Fi and cable TV. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a good place to stop for 1 night. The sites are clean and level. No amenities such as restrooms or laundry. The town is on its last legs, but Del's Cafe serves good food. Don't judge the RV Park by the old motel on the RV grounds. The cable TV had a good signal, but if you like the Fox News Channel you're out of luck. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The rate we paid was for Passport America with 50amp electric. Our gravel site was a bit unlevel side to side, but otherwise long enough. The Wi-Fi signal was very good. The previous comments are accurate and reflect our experience as well. We would stay here again. We saw several other RVs do as we did, drive through the RV park next door and immediately come here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
After pulling into the parking lot and sitting for just a couple of minutes, we were met by a lady who directed us to a site and told us to get set up and then come back to the office to register. The office and the other surrounding buildings on the site are very seedy, but the RV sites are perfectly adequate, if bare. The services were fine for the self-contained, and the access is easy. I wouldn't call this a destination site because of the lack of amenities but for a night or two it is fine and the price is reasonable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Note that this park does not accept credit cards but takes personal checks. The park is well located on Route 66. There is some traffic noise but it is mostly non-truck traffic. The gentleman who checked us in was quite friendly and helpful. The hookups are fine and the Wi-Fi and cable TV were very good. The sites are fairly level and ours had some trees for privacy. There are no restrooms or laundry. The park is located in the former courtyard of a 1941 motel, which is no longer in use and in disrepair. It is what one might call a funky setting for an RV park. I would like to see the owner fix up the office to look more attractive and professional. It now is just a make-shift facility that is quite bare-bones and unappealing. We would return. We highly recommend Del's Restaurant, which is just two doors west of the RV park. The food was outstanding! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We are here for a week but are pleased with the beginning. The price was right and the owners were more than friendly and helpful, even guiding us to our site. This is our first stay in NM and we are looking forward to the RT 66 memorabilia and the friendliness that we have seen. We will stop here again as the accommodations are great for the price, including free (excellent) cable TV and good Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A really nice campground for an overnight stay. Pull throughs are long and level packed gravel and the cable and wi-fi work great. We called when we got off the interstate and the owner met us at the entrance and guided us to our site. If you don't want to unhook there is a nice restaurant next to the campground. We would definitely stop again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great overnight spot. Friendly office staff. We called in advance and arrived 7:00ish. Directed us to a back center spot facing the old motor court buildings. We loved it. Very retro and cool. Good hookups. The cable TV even had cable attached. No tables and no restrooms/showers, but for an inexpensive overnight spot, this one can't be beat. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate is Passport America with all the extras (cable TV and 50 amp) and you can't beat this for an overnight stop. The lady in the office is very helpful and friendly and it's located on historic Route 66 next to a home-owned restaurant. We will use this while coming and going on I-40. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a no-frills RV park that was once a “motor-hotel†in the hey-day of Route 66. The pull-through sites are very long and wide enough to accommodate RVs with opposing slides. The sites are clean and level and a combination of grass/gravel. Some sites are open with small trees/bushes and some sites are shaded by large cottonwood trees. The staff is helpful, friendly and led us to our site. The full hook ups have stable 30 or 50 amps and good water pressure. Price we paid reflects the 50% discount offered to members of the Escapees RV Club. This was the first time we have stopped here, but it will be a regular stop on our frequent travels across this part of New Mexico. We are full-time RVers who stayed here for two nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have stayed here before and got a site on the side of the office with the trees. This time those were full and we got a site on the other side by the old motel. Not level but ok. Wifi is good and cable is good. I would still stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Stayed here overnight on our way to Oklahoma. Chose this park based on prior reviews and was not disappointed. Level site. Owner directed me into the site. Quick check in. This is a no frills park, and does not pretend to be anything else. Within walking distance to local Walmart, and several restaurants. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is easy to drive around in. Site are really large. No frills park with level (at least ours was) gravel sites and grass growing in between them. Quiet park. Used Passport American so hence the $16 price. Really dry right now so no green grass yet. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a perfect overnight RV park. The sites were level and easy to get in and out of, no need to unhook tow vehicle. The owners were nice and friendly. Wi-Fi worked great. Wish there were more on the road like this one. No restroom or laundry facilities, but we do not use them anyway, so not a drawback for us We camped here in a Motorhome.
I wish there were a chain of campgrounds along the interstate system just like this campground. Inexpensive with long, flat sites, and full hook up. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rate quoted was the Passport America Rate. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We camped here for one night while passing through. We called 2 hours prior to arrival to check availability for a Passport America rate. We also stated where we were and our estimated arrival time. The owner/operator stated they had sites available and confirmed the rate. When we arrived all was well and owners nice. However, after collecting our money and once we were parked the owner began to coach us on traveler's etiquette telling us we should be more courteous and arrive at the park earlier, before dark. We arrived at 6 pm. Had we not already paid and parked we would have taken our business elsewhere. We won't stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice for an overnight stay, definitely not fancy. There is not much shade. It is right on main thoroughfare (old 66), so there is a little road noise. It is almost next door to Kiva RV Park, but Kiva caters more to permanent residents while Cactus is more for travelers. We would stay here again if passing through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is strictly no frills but good for an overnight stop. It is fairly close to the highway but far enough away so there is no noise. The park is in front of an old run down motel. Streets are wide and sites are long and wide. The entire park is gravel. The price includes cable TV that was fair and Wi-Fi that worked well at our site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stopped here overnight and would do it again. It is a really basic campground, but you have easy pull thru, large sites, cable TV and free wifi. There are lots of older buildings around, but who cares, great place to overnight and so reasonable priced with passport. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice basic park with LEVEL sites. If you get here early you can get a shady spot. The Wi-Fi works great and the cable TV is good with a lot of channels. Long pull throughs so you don't need to unhook. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice place to stop if visiting Tucumcari NM. Most of the facilities in Tucumcari, along historic Route 66, are tired and in need of repair. This park is fairly large and away from highway noise. No toilets or showers or laundry. Wi-Fi is free and quite good. Owner was very friendly and escorted us to the appropriate site. Would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Quintessential desert atmosphere with sandy, flat, terrain and a terrific peaceful calmness .. appropriate to desert locales. Simple but fully functional, with exception of having no washroom facilities. Great stop for self contained units ! Owners non-intrusive, pleasant & relaxed. This, from a longtime motorhome (40') dweller who says good things about very few RV parks due to so many parks being overly organized & regulated etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The nightly rate reflects the Passport America rate for a 50 amp full hookup site which includes cable and wi-fi. We didn't use the cable, but the wi-fi worked great. There are no rest rooms, showers or laundry but we wouldn't have used them anyway. This is the only reason I rated this park a '9'. There was no pool, but for the price, wouldn't have expected one. The sites are long, level gravel pull-throughs and would accommodate any RV; and, there's no need to unhook the 'toad' or tow vehicle. The man who checked us in was very friendly and personally escorted us to our site, explained all the hook ups and asked if there was anything else we needed. The park is very neat and clean. Some spaces have shade trees; however, most are open with a clear southern view for satellite. The adjacent run down motel is reminiscent of the old Route 66 motels, but we didn't find it to be a detraction to our stay. Del's Restaurant, which is within walking distance of the park, has excellent food. We stayed here several days and would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The nightly rate reflects the Passport America rate for 30 amp. This is one of the best PA campgrounds we have stayed in. What a value with cable and Wi-Fi included! The young man who checked us in was very gracious. For being on old Route 66, there was very little road noise. The sites were great pull-throughs so we didn't have to unhook the toad. Nice evergreens between the sites toward the front of the campground. Sites are level gravel. The "run-down" motel that is not in use was reminiscent of days gone by. We did not find it a detraction. This campground has no amenities like a pool or clubhouse, but those are not important to us. We were very happy with our accommodation's. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place looks run down but is perfect for an overnight stop. It has good 50 amp electric and long pull throughs and is very quiet. The staff is friendly and will escort you to your site and explain the hookups. I would have rated it higher if it wasn't for the appearance. I would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an older campground, but very clean. Sites are pull thru and level. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site and had all amenities explained to us. There are no restrooms or laundry, but we didn't need the services. It is walking distance to restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owner is very friendly. Nice park for overnight or a few days. Handled our big 70' 5th wheel and Volvo truck well. Passport America. This is our type park since we never use the facilities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice owner manager takes you to your site. Good overnight stop. Free wireless internet in your rig. Free cable TV. Large pull thru sites with full hookups. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is easy to get in and out. It is near restaurants, etc and near the city. Killer free WIFI is so useful. Just overnight is fine. Large sites and I believe are all pull through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnight spot. Friendly owner who shows you to a site. Long gravel sites that are pull thru. Good 50 amp power and water. Good sewer dump. Would stay here again when passing thru. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate is a Passport America rate. This is good overnight stay park. No restroom or showers are provided, but sewer hookups are available. The gravel sites are level. Most sites are pull through. Restaurants are within walking distance so we did not need to unhook the car. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice owner. Good power and water. He led me to a nice pull thru. I was lucky and got their early and got a site with grass. Most are dirt with little gravel. Park has no bath facilities and is for fully contained units only. Good overnight stop. Will stop again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very inexpensive park with great hook-ups and lots of space. Easy to get in and out. The owner was very helpful. WiFi worked perfect. Although the park is run down, it seems that a lot of remodeling is being done. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great overnight park, since there isn't much shakin' in Tucomcari since the new highway bypassed the town. Used a Passport rate and this is a great deal! Very wide sites, just drive in and leave the toad hooked up...easy out in the AM. A low-budget place but the owner is very nice and helpful. The restaurant next door appears to be the best in town and has great New Mexican food as well as a typical family food menu. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I'm uprating my first opinion of this campground. It is an interesting place considering it's prior use an old Route 66 motel. The main part of the park is the old parking lot of the motel, but, there are other sites back in the back and sides. The place was vitually full both nights we stayed there. The sites are large with full hookups and wi-fi that worked when it was on. For some reason, it is turned off part of the time. There is a good restaurant about 100 feet away, Del's restaurant. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy in and out; owner very helpful. Wi-Fi signal good, although Wi-Fi only available for a few hours in the morning and evening. Interesting area and both T-Mobile and VZN wireless signals were good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This had to be "Cactus Motor Court" on Route 66 in the heyday of that road. Sandstone "rooms" form a U but they don't appear to be in use anymore and the court is now filled in with gravel and pull through sites. Easy in and out, full hook ups, cable (though our neighbor took our slot but we got good TV with our antenna) and the WiFi didn't work at all. Walking distance to a nice restaurant and for the PA price, not a bad deal. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is in an old motel lot. The manager/caretaker led us to our site. The site was very nice, with trees protecting both sides, but not hanging over the rig or preventing satellite from working. Good hook-ups (50amp) and WiFi. We walked to a near by restaurant for a very good meal. Nostalgic Route 66 atmosphere. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Basic, but clean. Good hookups - no problems. Saved $2 with KOA card, added cable for $1. Gravel sites, good wifi signal. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We've stayed at this KOA many times. The managers are very nice. One year, after our tent was blown down in a storm and everything was soaked, they let us stay in an unused mobile home on the property. They even offered us bedding and towels. You can't get much better customer service than that! We camped here in a Truck Camper.
Great overnight stop. Able to stay hitched up. Good WiFi. Sites have grass and trees. Staff is friendly and helpful. No restrooms or showers. On old Route 66, away from Interstate noise. Have stayed here several times. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Good overnight stop. While the RV park is in an old, "Route 66 era" Motel property, it was clean and appeared to be maintained. Sites were large, long and adequate. From the hookups, it appears that some are side/side. Cable is provided and all you have to do is hook up. Would stay there again on trips. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great overnight park for self contained rigs. There are no restrooms. On old 66 at an old 66 motel that is almost gone. Wi Fi is great and utilities good. Restaurant next door. Easy on and off and no road noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A strange campground built along side and in the courtyard of an abandoned 1940's tourist court on old route 66. OK for an overnight stop. Free Wifi and good utilities. Good price with Passport America. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was OK for a quick overnight. Staff was friendly and sites grassy and shaded. No restrooms or showers that we were aware of. It is fairly quiet but still convenient to I-40 exits. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very nice overnight park, large, level, gravel/grass pull-thru sites. Hookups convenient. Management very friendly. The free wifi was appreciated; it worked very well. Easy in and out as it is on Historic Route 66. The park is cared for as they have planted many evergreen trees out front. We would stop-over here anytime. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a great overnighter. It is not an RV resort, but very suitable for an overnighter. They have easy access from the I40, great cable TV with over 40 stations. The WI-FI worked great. The sites are large and pull throuhg so you do not need to unhook your tow. You can walk to a nice dinner house. We camped here using Passport America so well worth the cost. We will definitely stop here again when we travel on the I40. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very good overnighter. Excellent hookups, very good CATV, reasonably quiet at night, good strong and reasonably fast WIFI. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good hook-ups including cable. This park is good for an overnight stop. It is convenient to I-40. The park is actually the parking lot of an old Route 66 motel. Nothing fancy, but good hook-ups at a reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good hook-ups including cable. This park is good for an overnight stop. It is convenient to I-40. The park is actually the parking lot of an old Route 66 motel. Nothing fancy, but good hook-ups at a reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park was ok. Management friendly. Had a problem with high voltage surges & had a rough nights sleep because of that & road noise. Convenient to get to. Probably would pass this one by next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is improving. New electric in place. Owner making effort. Would use as an overnight. Some sites too close to a major road so will get road noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice overnight park--large, level, gravel/grass pull-thru sites. Hookups convenient. Management solititous. Outdoor, protected modem hookup available. Easy walk to Del's for dinner. The park looks like it is cared for as they have planted many everygreen trees out front. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older park that is connected to old route 66 motel. Is located in the older part of town. Facility has declined and needs renewal. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would only use as a late night stopover. We camped here in a camper.
Conchas Lake has numerous areas to camp. There are 104 developed sites and 41 electric and water sites. The campgrounds are located in various areas of the lake. I believe there’s primitive camping along the shoreline in some areas. The area we stayed in was Bell Point campground which has power and water hookups. Each site has a 3 sided shelter with a picnic table on a concrete slab and a pedestal BBQ near the shelter. It’s very dusty when breezy, interior road is dirt and no one seems to drive slow through the campground. Some sites are closer together then others, some are pull thrus, but most are back ins. ALL sites are on a reservation system which was a pain since there wasn't any cell/internet service there. The gal in the Park Office was nice enough to let me use their phone to make a reservation. If you just need a site for one night and sites are available (the post at each site has a green vacant sign or red occupied sign on them), go to the park office. It’s located further down the main road on the left. There’s a marina with a grocery/tackle shop/lounge/diner. There’s also a phone booth outside which we needed to use since it was Mother’s Day. Weekends are very busy but midweek was quiet. Nice views of the lake and surrounding area. You might want to use your water pump when showering, pressure wasn’t that great. While there we saw people boating, fishing and water skiing. Dump Station is located across from the campground entrance. Make sure you‘re stocked up with food since the closest town is in Tucumcari, which is about 35 miles away. We would stay here again but only midweek. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a very unusual park but great for an overnight stop if you are near Tucumcari. Opt for a spot at the back corner of the park. Facing the open field gave a nice view of the mountain. There were a number of run down campers that appeared to have someone living in the park, but no one was around that caused any concerns. Fine for the price charged. The staff was helpful in setting up our stay. Horses were allowed, and a pen with an outbuilding was at one end of the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a quiet park with easy on/off of the interstate. There are not a lot of bells and whistles, but the people were friendly and helpful. Fine for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access to I-40. Very basic with gravel sites and no shower or restrooms. Minimal upkeep, but for $15 for full hookups it works for a day or two stay over. If you need the amenities and aesthetics, better look elsewhere. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rustic, flat, open, very friendly. We enjoyed the welcome by the owner and his daughter. She visited our site after we had set up, just to make sure everything was OK. We enjoyed the peace and quite so much, we stayed a second night. Nothing fancy but very relaxing. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice and roomy campground. A very easy to use self-serve booth for late arrival. Staff was helpful, friendly and seemed to be doing a lot of upgrades to the place. Located one mile from I-40 for easy off and on but far enough to avoid the noise. Great view of the Tucumcari Mountain. Recommended to all. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice little park, but there was only one tree large enough to provide shade. We took that spot, but it was still very hot. This wouldn't be a place you'd want to stay more than one night, but it was nice and cost-effective for a single-night stopover. No showers or restrooms available that we saw, but we use the ones on our rig anyway. Owner was very nice and hospitable, although she wasn't there when we arrived. Easy to check in, find a spot and hook up. Easy access to some cute Route 66 diners. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice staff, constantly improving this campground and always a pleasure to stay here. Park VERY clean including horse facilities. Sites level with tables. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nothing fancy, clean, level sites. All sites are pull-thrus. Good cell phone reception and computer airphone reception (Verizon). Great water pressure, best we've had a park in quite a while. Friendly owner, she greeted us after we got settled in. Far enough off of the 1-40 so it's great for a good nights sleep. Park is located on Route 66 but was quiet at night. Great place for an overnighter. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Looks like this park is being renovated. Lots of minor construction and new parts mixed with older ones. Campground was VERY clean and tidy, personnel were extremely accommodating. Also has horse pens for traveling equestrians, very clean and in excellent repair. This will be nice park when the trees get a little bigger to provide some shade. Roads and sites were all a well packed gravel and sites were pretty level. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
No water (faucet dry). No owner on site. Security, even though there is a security guard, is questionable. Place feels uncomfortable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Entrance to the park from Historic Rte.66 is like pulling into a narrow 1940's motel drive because it is but don't let that put you off. The RV spaces are in the back. We were directed to our long pull-through by the very friendly owner. The site is gravel, level with easy in and out. They have 80 lbs water pressure. There are lots of trees and a community fire pit with a grill and chairs. Overall, it's not a "pretty" park but it has everything I like or need for one or several nights. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites are gravel and look fairly level, however we got #5 and it had a major right front decline, but, we were able to almost get level with our system. The park is clean and the owners work very hard to keep it that way. No freeway sound, only a distance train. Lots of shade trees. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A great overnight that might be muddy if it ever rained. A little strange entrance but the staff was super helpful. The site services worked properly and the site was flat. Easy exit to the freeway. For some reason there were a lot of moths. They have a usable dog park and are next to a larger park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This quaint RV park used to be a Route 66 motel. The owners were a very nice family, extremely accommodating. The gentleman even guided us into our space by riding ahead of us on his scooter. When we had a slight water disaster in our RV, they even allowed us to dry towels way past closing time. The showers were extremely small, but they worked and were clean. Restaurants are within walking distance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our rate was a passport America. The park is veteran owned and operated. The park is an older park and needs a few things. The hookups have the water too low to the ground making it difficult to hook up and the sewer is too high making it difficult to get a good flow when draining tanks. The rest rooms were ok, but they are very old and as clean as they could be considering the age. The people is what made the campground ok, they were very friendly and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable about weather going either east or west. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate reflects Passport America rate. Old, rundown park. They say they have 34 spaces but it is difficult to figure out where all the spaces are. When you drive into the motel that is the entrance for the park you see just 4 small spaces, but they have more sites behind the motel. They have some long, level sites in the back that are doubles, but they do not fill up so these sites are used as pull throughs. Sites are close together. Host/Owner is very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi worked great. We did see the other RV parks in town and they are all about the same. OK for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great little campground for overnight or extended stay while visiting the area. Our rate was Good Sam rate. Wi-Fi worked great, cable TV is good, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Gravel sites (#8) that are level, gravel roads, and some trees. We will stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is actually an old Route 66 motor court on the main drag of Tucumcari. They have opened up the back with full hookup RV spaces that seem like they have been there for quite awhile. No concrete pads, everything is dirt/gravel, but they seemed pretty level. Anyway, although the place was old and dumpy, the showers, though very cramped and small, were quite clean, and the Wi-Fi was absolutely great, no problems at all. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I will definitely choose the Kiva again when on I-40 in Eastern NM. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The new owners are a family unit with their extended family in tow. They made us feel like we were family. The day we arrived, their little girl was having her birthday party outside and we were invited and really enjoyed the family atmosphere. The owners are undertaking several clean up, fix up, renovation projects to make the place more aesthetically pleasing and functional, they only bought it a short time ago. You drive through an area where the motel sits in front and register. Don't be put off, the camping area is behind the motel and is a nice spot. We stayed here for 5 days and will be back when our plans bring us this way again. We recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We initially pulled into the park next door but the first two sites they took us to were not acceptable, so we came here. Rate shown is PPA. Here we got a FHU, pull-through site with cable TV (40 channels), Wi-Fi, and open for satellite (one of the few in the park). Our site was gravel and grass but surprisingly level. As other reviewers have intimated, the appearance of the entrance, the office, and the park in general will turn off many potential customers. While the park was not as attractive as the last three parks we stayed in, everything worked fine and we even had our best Wi-Fi connection in over a week. The three bathrooms (toilet, shower, and sink in each room) in a small adobe building near the entrance were a bit "iffy" as far as cleanliness but were OK. As other have noted, you can walk to several restaurants and see much of the town if you are a walker. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older park.Very nice owners. Furnish wood for a campfire and a propane BBQ to cook on. Grass and a fountain. Very laid back. Fun to explore the town on old Route 66. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This may not be the prettiest RV Park we have stayed at, but we were very comfortable here. The staff was very helpful and friendly to deal with. The site was level even though it was gravel as were the roads. It sits behind a old motel, but don't let that stop you. Like I said we were very comfortable here so we stayed an extra night. We would stay here again, anytime. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate was Passport would you believe! In 45 years of camping this one is second on my list of worst campgrounds. There is a Kmart in town so try to stay in their parking lot or just go on down the road. Any place you end up is better. Oh! The place is up for sale if your interested. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate reflects PA discount. Stayed overnight. Under new ownership who is working to upgrade park. Within walking distance of town. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a GREAT PEOPLE FRIENDLY RV PARK!!! Stayed 4 days here instead of 1, because of the friendly staff!!! They have good 50 amp power and Wi-Fi as well as nearby eating within walking distance. Will stay again!!! GREAT PEOPLE HERE!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Don't judge this park by the entrance. We came in and almost left because the entrance looked so bad until we saw the RVs in the back. Sites are gravel & grass & level. There are several fulltimers but this is a good overnight park. The owners are very friendly. We stayed here for two nights. Wi-Fi and cable very good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The staff is very friendly and just recently took over the park. Only one washer and dryer for all the units, so I passed on the laundry. We were told there was Wi-Fi but could not get online. I am an internet junkie so this was difficult as I knew this was my last chance for a while. It was a good place to stay overnight. We will give them a try when we are in the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great park! I am an RV transport driver and have camped all over the US and Canada. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and escort to my site and the personal attention to see that I had everything I needed. I immediately felt safe, secure and comfortable. The owners were warm, humorous and attentive. The park is located on the old historic Route 66 and is quiet with trees and roomy drive through sites. I came back when I was in the area and enjoyed the local sights, including many beautiful murals by local artists. I am inclined to avoid "chain" restaurants and motels as well as campgrounds. If you enjoy travel to meet and experience local flavor, I think you would find Kiva as great stop, too! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was an unexpected stop-over for us, but what a great surprise! The people that ran the park were super friendly, our site was level, clean and had good clean power. They welcomed us at the entrance, showed us to our space, helped us hook everything up, including cable TV. Then they told us everything there was to know about the town, shopping, food and loads of stuff to see and do. They're also doing lots of work improving the place, it's a little older, but don't let it scare you, that's the ONLY reason we didn't give it a full 10. There's also lots of grass, a park like area with a pond, and plenty of trees. Like I said, this place is a little older, but it has great service and they really care about you and your needs. Keep it up KIVA, and we'll keep coming back on our way through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is really rough; electrical hookups showed in the "red" on our in-house monitor. We had to be very careful to not use more than one appliance at a time. For an overnight stop, it served the purpose, but we thought in retrospect, that we would have felt safer in a truck stop!! The manager was very pleasant and accommodating, but the surroundings were sketchy to say the least! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate reflects 50% Passport America discount. For an overnight stopover, it's OK. The park is old and poorly laid out. It sits behind an old, run down motel which owner called "historic". Sites are interspersed among old, trashy mobile homes and ancient RVs with kids, dogs and junk all over the place. Definitely not a destination park. As we pulled out the next morning, we saw The Cactus RV Park right next door which looked to be a heck of lot nicer, for less money! Oh well. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground host was a wonderful man. He assisted us in parking our motorhome in a nice, long, shaded lot. We had shade but not the long, overgrown branches as we have found in many other parks. The place may be a bit run down but the host was extremely accommodating. Our GPS indicated that we were at the park: when we were not actually here (it was several blocks off our destination). I called the park and the campground host told me that he would pull his white golf cart out front so that when I drove by, I would see it. How many hosts would go out of their way and do that? We felt very comfortable and safe here and would definitely stay again. I would have given it a 10 but it was a bit run down. The 50amp service, water and sewer all worked just fine. No real complaints about anything. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park actually sits behind and a block east of another park on Route 66. You can turn by the other park or go through a run down motel in front of it. We stayed in a long pull-through which had been two sites but could be used by two units traveling together. The manager is such a friendly and helpful guy. He appears to be working hard on improvements. We will stay here again on our route east. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We spent 5 nights. Cost was $13.00 for Passport America members. This is a very old park single-handedly undergoing renovation by one man, Bob. He deserves credit! The park is shaded, with pull-throughs and very good power. Bob is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. The only drawback is the 50's era bathroom, of which there is only one due to a water line break. Although the bathroom is very small, it is always clean. We would highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This little park has poor street appeal but is really a nice little overnight spot. The park is clean, quiet and the individual sites spacious, grassy and many are shaded. The manager was friendly and helpful. It's just one block from a nice little community park called Wailes Park which provided a nice walk for us and our dog. Also within walking distance is a wonderful restaurant called Del's that serves excellent American & Mexican food and has a nice salad bar at a reasonable price. The score 7/10 is due to lack of frills more than any negatives. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The rate is Passport America. As others have said the park looks run down, however all hookups and the WI-FI worked well. The site I had was level gravel, with grass around it. Management was very cordial and showed me to my site. I would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rustic park with several long term trailers. The owner more than made up for the appearance of the park. Very friendly and very helpful. Electric, water and sewer were very accessible and the Wi-Fi had a good signal. We stayed here 3 nights. It was quiet and only a couple of miles from the interstate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I rated this park as a 9 because it met my needs for a quick one night stay at a decent Passport America price. I would not recommend this park as a destination park. We were able to fill up at the Flying J at Exit 333, then drive less than 1 mile to the campground without getting back on the interstate. Close to the interstate but far enough away not to hear it. Call before you arrive or you will not have any idea where to park to check in. We were able to pull in with our 40 motorhome towing a minivan without any difficulty. The hookups were conveniently located with excellent water pressure and electric quality. Site was level. Just a warning that the campground is not attractive but it is functional. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The owner was really nice and showed us to our spot. He even gave us free WiFi for the two nights we were there. The place is real junky and has almost entirely trailers and mobile homes of people who seem to be living there full time. During the two nights we were there no other RVs came in to camp there. All of the hookups were adequate. We did not use the cable TV since our dish served us well enough. We definitely would not stay here again. The whole place was rather dismal. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the first time we have used our Passport America. Tom and son were very helpful and met us and escorted us to our site. Very quiet and ate at a wonderful Mexican Restaurant per Tom's recommendation. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
For an overnight stay this park is fine. Very nice owner & family & as other reviews indicate, don't let the front appearance keep you from stopping. Hookups worked fine and wi-fi offered free. Within walking distance to a couple of restaurants if needed. Price is Passport price. Would definitely stay here again when passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The best part of this camping experience was the hospitality! The owner Tom and his sons were really nice and accommodating. Nights at the fish pond were fun. Tom is quite a character, as a matter of fact he is a character actor and appeared in several movies and television series. There is a dinosaur museum and award winning cheese factory nearby. Well worth the trip! We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a Passport America park and the price reflects weekly rate. The park is behind an old historic motel and the entrance is through the motel lot. Don't let the appearance of the motel stop you, it is being renovated and looks run-down right now. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Sites are grassy with lots of large shade trees, but still good satellite reception. Cable is offered for an additional $2. Sites are side-by-side and back-to-back, but there were two other large motorhomes there and everyone had plenty of room. There is only one washer and one dryer in the 'laundry room' but it is free. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is owned by a super nice family(new owners)and campground is in transition of upgrades. Grassy areas between sites with some shade trees. Good level sites with good hook ups, plenty of room for big rigs. Quiet and peaceful and a good oasis in between weather patterns. Warm breezy days and cool nights. Community area with pond, gazebo and grill; where each evening owners have gatherings; you can join in with fun and games or just visit with other campers. Nice city park one block over, great for evening strolls or walking your pet. Within walking distance to several restaurants on historic Route 66. Just minutes from downtown Tucumcari; don't miss the murals. We had intended to stay a couple of days but ended up staying three weeks. Easy on off I-40, so a great place for a night or extended stay. We plan on going back next year for an extended stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
New owners recently bought the park and they're doing a lot of improving & fixing up. We enjoyed the nightly gathering (happy hour?) at the "Fish Pond" for a discussion of any topic that came up. The Passport rate included 50A service, cable and Wi-Fi - no extras. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area. Nice quite park. Owner's live on site. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is a bit run down - however - the sites are large with good water pressure, good power and cable tv. The owner lives on site and is very friendly and helpful. Good for an overnight stop. The rate we paid was a Passport America rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Passport America campground cost is $10 per night. Owner was very nice and helpful. There are lots of barking dogs though. In the older section of town and right next door to the Cactus Rv Park. Good place for an overnighter. No regrets for stopping here. Good clean power and nice hookups in good shape. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is in the middle of town. Its looks run down, but has full hookups. The owner lives in the park. The area we were in was empty and the sites are not very well defined. The area was very delapitated. The washrooms were very old and looked as though they were almost falling down. The light inside was very dim and the shower was tight did not have much pressure. We did not feel comfortable at the park. It is a Passport America participant but we would not stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice and convenient location for overnight stay. Check in was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recomment this location for overnight stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice friendly park to stay at, but not level side to side. The wireless worked better than most parks we have been in and the electric and water are okay. The lady that checked us in is really nice and friendly. The men's bathroom only has one stool, two showers, and a urinal but not stocked with toilet paper. Would stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great overnight stop .Easy on and off. Strong Wi-Fi, good cable TV, Verizon card strong, and dog friendly. Very clean laundromat and bathrooms. Fuel stop between Campground and Hwy 40. Friendly and helpful owner. Will stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stay here often over night. Great owners. Good cable and great Wi-Fi. Can get muddy in the rain. Fairly level sites. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Quick stop arriving late and leaving early. Friendly staff, quick check in and set up. All gravel, clean spacious restrooms, easy access. No problems. Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Right past the truck stops at Exit 333 in Tucumcari. Not much to look at but it offers the basics. Like all desert campgrounds in the southwest, it's dirt/gravel but sites are long and level side-to-side. We seem to be on a slope front to back but levelers handle that. Great Wi-Fi. Great cable. You do get noise from both very busy truck stops but with the a/c going, you don't really hear anything. Just a short jaunt into town where you can do basic shopping (no Wal-Mart). Very good and reasonably priced meals at the Rockin' Y Restaurant. Recommend that place. Several geocaches within 5 miles. We'd stay here in the future and would recommend it to others. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a great park. The lady at the desk was very friendly. It was easy getting to this park and easy to get back on the interstate. We needed to fuel the motorhome and the gas station was right there. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Ordinary park. Basic gravel road with picnic tables. All sites are on gravel. Park does have satellite TV. We would stay there again for an over night visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The rate is for 30 amp with Good Sam. Just used for overnight and was very pleased. All sites are long pull through (did not unhitch car) full hook up including cable TV and internet. Staff is very friendly and the coffee and muffins in the AM are a treat It snowed overnight and she had all the info about road closing, etc. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I thought we had not stayed here before, until we drove up to the office. What was I thinking? Access is okay. If there are two rigs coming in, one will be hanging in the road. There is a Loves and Flying-J at the exit from I-40. Staff is friendly. The entire park is gravel except for the sort of play area at the west end which is primarily burrs. Internal roads are narrow and sites and short and narrow. Utilities worked okay although they appear to have been put in during WWII. Someone put down that there are shaded sites. There are skimpy water starved tall bushes which can be a problem for some slideouts. The slogan for the area is "Tucumcari Tonight" which means that after Tucumcari there is nothing until Amarillo or Flagstaff, so might as well find a spot here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for three weeks. The price per day is a result of the weekly rate. There is a nice view of Tucumcari Mountain. Verizon internet is only 1X and very slow so we used the campground's Wi-Fi. We were near the office and were pleased with the speed on the internet. Our Verizon phones worked well. The owners are friendly and helpful. They provide fresh, homemade muffins to campers in the office every morning. All sites are pull-throughs and ours was very level. They try to keep the site closest to the bathrooms for the elderly or handicapped campers. The laundry and bathrooms were always very clean. Although close to the freeway, traffic noise was not an issue. There was a lot of truck traffic, but it never kept us awake. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. We will stay here again whenever we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Upon arriving in the late afternoon, we were greeted in the office by the owner of the campground. A totally happy and informative host. She explained everything completely and even told us the best place from the park to watch the fireworks in town. Blueberry muffins and pinon coffee free in the morning before heading out. A nice park that met our needs perfectly. Clean restrooms and showers, level sites, Wi-Fi and easy hookups. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice overnight park. Friendly office worker. Made GREAT home made tamales, 6 for $8. Free muffins and coffee in the a.m. and we were on our way. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is right off of I-40 and is very convenient for a night or two especially if you don’t want to unhook the toad. A little highway noise and near truck stops which actually came in handy when we needed a few items. We would stay here while in transit, but not really ideal for a long term stay. The sites are gravel and level. Wi-Fi worked great for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Dumpy run down low rent park. Loud motor noise from two close-by truck stops. I did feel secure here. I will not stay here again. Much better parks in this town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a convenient no frills overnight park located near I-40. Roads and sites are gravel/dirt. All sites are pull through and fairly level. There are a few trees, but most do not get in the way of a satellite signal. The rate is a little high for what you get. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We tried to stay here, but the sites offered were too small to let us keep our truck and 21' trailer hooked for the night. There were several larger sites still empty at 5:30 PM but the manager told us the larger sites were held back in case a larger RV showed up and needed the extra room. Don't understand this logic since all sites were the same price and we were here. Lots of full time park residents at this park. Just one big dusty gravel park. We asked for our money back and went to the KOA park just a block down the road. Excellent decision on our part. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A gravel parking lot with hookups. This is an adequate pass through spot with level sites and easy access from I-40. Has friendly staff and lots of room to maneuver. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was an easy park to get to from the highway. The spaces were really tight, easy to get into but extremely close to the folks next to you. It was clean and fine for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites were clean but old and in need of repairs. Laundry was poor: needed to dry clothes twice, so it took 1 & 1/2 hours to dry clothes. Very annoying. We stayed 1 night. WiFi connection was very good. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This Campground is located so ideally next to I-40 that it must fill every night. We arrived from Texas via US54 about lunchtime and there weren't many RVers parked, but by the evening there weren't any vacancies. It needs a little polish but is adequate for a night's stay. Office staff (one nice lady) does it all. The Wi-Fi wasn't the strongest at out site but cable TV is good. Dog run needs cleaning however: it's the same old story, sorry pet owners not picking up after their pets. We would stay here again without hesitation. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Price reflects a Good Sam discount for a full hook-up, level, pull-through site. Ok, our site was just barely long enough to squeak into without unhooking the tow-car for the night. Another friendly, quiet, easy access place to rest overnight while traveling I-40. No problems with satellite TV, Verizon cell phone or air-card reception. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are short and not level. Cable is available every other site, so had to run cable under Motorhome. OK for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
all gravel; not much shade; half mile to I 40; reasonable; no pool; Good Sam; it's Tucumcari and if you need to stop, stop...; down the street from FJ; nice people; wide spaces. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is clean and simple. Easy freeway access. All services work as promised. Sites are rather barren, but there's a nice view of nearby fields and mountains. Just fine for an overnight stay and rejuvenation for the next day's drive. We could hear the freeway from our site, but it wasn't too loud. Ostrich bonus: Drive out the road a ways past this campground and you'll come to a field full of ostrich's! Rode my bike along their fence and they ran beside me. Fun! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It is “priceyâ€. Thirty dollars for a night, but with our Good Sams discount, it became $25, but because we were using 50 amps of electricity, $2 was added on, plus 52 cents for tax. The final discounted total was $27.52. The Wi-Fi is free. The water pressure is good. The pads are mostly dirt and some grave. Good for a stop-over, but I would not want to stay here long. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Lady in the office very friendly, and the park looked to be very clean, The sites were a bit dusty, but with no cement it's expected. The sites were very close to each other, but for just an over night stay,it was peaceful. Love's truck stop was close but not bothersome. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We spent one night here. Our site was so bad that we couldn't level the motorhome even though we have good jacks. The person who checked us in was very efficient. The sites are not as large as advertised. The park is layer out on a hill and I would be surprised of any sites are level. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here one night heading west, and thought enough to stay one night on the way back east. Small park near I-40, but far enough away that the noise is not bothersome. This is a small gravel park with level sites. Decent Wi-Fi, friendly staff. Good stop for overnights. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Adequate park for overnight stop. Good Wifi. This was the fastest checkin I have ever experience. Gave her my GoodSam card and I was registered. Paid and drove to site. There is a new Flying J very close by. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place to stay overnight. Staff was nice. Nothing bad to say for an overnight. However, they are lacking in facilities. While it's great they have wifi(I'm using it now), they need cable tv in every spot and a better playground. It can also be loud sometimes with the truck stop nearly across the street. I would stay here again without a question, but only overnight. But then again, most people don't stay for an extended period of time in Tucumcari NM unless they live there. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is close to I-40, but no road noise. The Wi-Fi and cable worked great. There are a few trees, but most of them are not very tall. Restrooms, showers, and laundry were very clean. The staff is very friendly. If I stay in Tucumcari, this is the place I will stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The basic rate of $25 is prior to discounts (AAA, Good Sam). The campground is not much to look at. The sites are all hard packed gravel but as it had rained a bit before we arrived we used our jack pads under the jacks. The campground management appears to be a husband/wife or brother/sister and both were pleasant enough. The washrooms and laundry are kept locked but you'll be offered a key at registration. The park looks clean but some maintenance seems to be needed. Our cable-TV connection at the post had obviously been replaced with an above-ground cable running to a splitter at the site next to ours. The result was a very bad cable picture. Not to worry...over-the-air TV signals are strong and clear. We were able to receive the OTA signals with the roof antenna down. The WiFi is free and the signal is strong. But we were in the first row behind the building. Not sure how reception would be in sites farther from the building. A Flying J is just down the street and I was able to use their WiFi signal with no trouble. But again, there were no rigs parked between us and the J. This park is suitable for both overnighting as well as a base camp...as long as the cable-TV is working. The park is very quiet and even though I-40 is just about 3/4 mile away we didn't hear any highway noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just an overnight stop, and only would want to stay overnight. Sites were small and dirt. Said they had internet, but I could not connect. When asked office was told that sometimes when she's full the RVs get in the way of the signal. Friendly office staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great RV park. All sites face NE and shade the camper at the end of the day. Very friendly managers. Very good WiFi. Great place to spend a night or two. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We overnighted here twice on an extended trip. Once on the way out and once on the way back. Although it is a no frills park, I feel it is a great place for an overnight stopover. The lady at registration was very friendly and accommodating. The sites are well defined and easy to get in and out of. We will surely stay here again if we are in that area and in need of a place to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
At I-40 Exit 333 (NW) down and across from Loves truck Stop. Perfect 1 night stop. Easy to get in and out in the dark. Office was open til 9:00 PM MST. Two of us used this park in October 2005. 1 33’ trailer and 1 MH with toad. 30/50 amp sites, cable tv. 55 to 60 foot PT’s. Good Sam Park. We will stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Not very impressive. Power was very poor, 104 volts on one leg at about 25 amps draw, one roof air kept kicking off. Our water did not work, but we have a holding tank so no biggie. Not well maintained, but adaquate for a night. Easy in and out for our 45' motor home. Better than Walmart I guess. We will try the KOA up the road next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
OK for a one night stop. Easy in and out. Long pull-thru sites. Had no problem with a 54' rig. People on site were very friendly. Stayed one night. Also had friends with a MH also stay there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Sites are easy to get into and exit. Clean, full hookups, cable TV and friendly hosts. What more could you look for when traveling down the interstate. Not far off the road and a Love's just across the street. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
OK for a couple of days stay. Safe and quiet. Very good washer/dryer setup. Owner very helpful with local info. Tucumcari Historical Museum is worth looking thru. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The staff was nice. Campground seemed well kept and the sites were fine. Used as an
overnight stop, but it was pouring rain the whole and really didn't even get outside. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The power in this park was so bad and the owners were hostile if you said anything about it. Everytime a new RV arrival plugged in, the power dropped. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park was quiet and very clean. The folks were friendly and courteous. This is a great overnight stop on the road with easy access and reasonable rates. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here for two years on the way west. This is a very easy campground to get into and back onto the interstate. It is very clean and the management is extremely friendly and helpful. This isn't an RV resort with swimming pools and game rooms, but it is a very good place to pull in to for the night. In fact, if you had business in the area this would be a good place to stay the entire time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The people that manage this one are real great folks. I had some problems with my truck and they were very helpful. The office is only open from 7 to 9 am and 4 to 8 pm. This is mainly a overrnighter. Loves is right across the road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We very seldom stay in KOA but opted to this night. We had a level gravel pullthru site with good water pressure and voltage. It served our purpose very well. Friendly management. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice, clean park. Level pull through sites. Perfect for a one night stay but would definitely be happy to stay longer. Very tasty home-cooked dinners and breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful folks. A nice family-owned park. No train track behind this one!!! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We camped here the end of April. It is an older park and has fairly new owners. They are fixing it up and it is well kept. There is a drought in NM, so don't expect a lot of green. There are quite a few trees in the park. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They cook breakfast and dinner if you wish to eat there. It is very good. We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed here one night. We've stayed in one other park in this area and the KOA is much nicer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice campground. Plenty of room to park. Site was level and plenty long, did not have to unhook. Stayed one night. They have breakfast and dinner available. Nice folks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice, family run, KOA that is clean and well-maintained. The owners cook breakfast in the morning, if interested ($), as well as a different dinner each evening. The only cautionary note is that almost all sites are side-by-side hook-up, and very close together; so close, in fact, that a fifth-wheel almost took off our front mirror while pulling into the site next to ours. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is very clean and neat. They have fabulous food for breakfast and dinner. Management (owners) are friendly and personable. This was our first time here; which lasted for three nights, due to late winter storms further north. This is a comfortable and safe place to stay. We could not recommend it any higher. This one deserves a big thumbs up. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We always stay here traveling east or west. The sites are wide enough for our slide-outs. The management is on-site and were very helpful, taking our propane tank when we were in our site and filling it for us and bringing it back to our site. They also have a breakfast and dinner menu that you can choose from for a small fee. I personally liked this since I was tired from driving all day and didn't feel like cooking. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very clean and quiet. Friendly helpful staff. Wish we could have tried out their home-cooked food, but no time. Large spaces, beautiful night sky. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a flat, level, asphalt, pull through site. The site was approximately 70 feet long. Site had a picnic table. Access roads were good. The free Tengointernet was slow, but it was OK. The hot tub was open but the pool was closed. Dinner and breakfast could be ordered from the office staff; prices of the food were reasonable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have stayed at this KOA for more than 8 times. Each time the camp hosts have been friendly and welcoming. Our site was always well maintained and spacious. The reception area has a small well stocked gift shop as well and necessary supplies for RV'ers. A BONUS. This camp is one of the few that provides us with a home cooked hot dinner as well as cook to order breakfast - all home prepared. What more can one ask for. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
My husband, baby, and I were traveling cross country in our Bounder when we blew our motor just over the NM State Line. We were able to get towed here and we couldn't be happier with the choice. The owners have been incredibly nice and helpful given that we are essentially stranded until we can get the RV fixed. Which is easier said then done when you consider the town of Tucumcari. This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at on our trip west. The store is nice with a good variety. The laundry room has inexpensive machines and is open later in the day. There are two different restroom areas, one in the front of the park and one in the back. Both are large, spotless and great water pressure from the showers. Stunning view of the mountain and the sunsets here are amazing! I've heard some people complain about the lack of grass, but when you consider that the state is in the middle of a drought you can't really count that against them. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We really enjoyed this place. Everything was bright and clean. Campsites were level, well drained (a night-time rainstorm did not turn everything to mud!), and spacious (did not have to worry when opening our slides). It had a very pretty Southwest landscaping and "feel". Hot tub was a real bonus, and one we did not encounter in very many RV parks on our 6-week trip cross-country. The store was well stocked, and we bought numerous souvenirs at great prices. A real treat was the Cafe in the store. They served dinner and breakfast at great prices. The owners were friendly and helpful and we loved chatting with them and learning a little local lore. This place was a standout, and we will definitely visit again when traveling Route 66! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed here one night on return trip. Called ahead to make reservations - were waiting for us when we arrived after hours. Gravel sites, fairly level, nice on the phone, easy access in and out of I-40. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The park had extremely level sites. The electrical power was the best of any we have ever stayed at and the cable TV connection was also the best ever. I would gladly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The host was good, but the park was in need of updating. The playground equipment was falling apart, the showers either don't work or there was some special trick to getting them to work. The pool and hot tub were nice additions and seemed new. We had a sewer vent stack right next to our site which vented sewer gases some times, so having our windows open was not an option. The store has a nice selection of food and they cook and deliver the food to the trailers. We didn't use the service, but a number of the other campers did. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Knowledgeable friendly owners and staff. Easy off and on. Super clean everything. Level and I mean level sites with abundant trees for New Mexico. Staff greets and accompanies you to selected site. Excellent hookups, Wi-Fi more than adequate for business traveler to check and send emails. Could not ask for any better hosts-super nice and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Certainly will stay again and recommend to any and all campers. Food is excellent in the cafe. Extra large and clean pet walk area. Quiet peaceful evening with windows open, no road noise. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We have stayed here several times and are always pleased. Clean and well-managed. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Owners are friendly, helpful, and customer-oriented. When the campground is fully occupied, the sites are rather close together, but when not full, the owners assign sites so rigs are well spaced. Sites are long enough for big rigs and tow vehicles or toads. Easy access from I-40. We strongly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Wide and long level gravel sites with trees and benches. Showers/toilets were immaculate and odor-free. Kids were welcomed warmly by an extremely friendly and helpful staff. A well stocked mart made this a home run. We will stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We were here at peak of temps in excess of 100 degrees,so of course everything in the area is very, very, dry. That said, the staff /owner was just great; store had what we needed and was immaculate; pool is nice and everything was what we expected. Sites were long, level and easy to access. We would stay again, for sure. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were very well pleased with this campground. Whether for an overnight or extended stay this campground is an excellent place. The host and hostess are friendly and yet business minded. They deliver quality service where is a rare find now days. You must try the breakfast, simply delicious. The sites were level, big rig friendly, and easy access from the interstate. Basically, the owners know how to host and they do it very well. The best value in the area. Will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a late night stopover, head out early the next morning, so we had very little experience here. It is close to the highway, yet quiet; Birds EVERYWHERE in the morning hours (wonderful); big, pull-through spaces. All in all, a great place to stopover. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just an OK stop over. Nice little playground, but was not as well kept as could have been. Pool was closed for 24 hours, as someone had an "accident" before we arrived. Sites were OK, mostly just gravel and were level enough. Did not use the showers here. We would probably not stay here again; we like more amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
All the amenities you expect from a KOA and the price you expect from a KOA. Playground, pool, rec room, not much shade . Clean restrooms. We stayed one night traveling through. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Marginal cable TV meaning poor reception on cable and snowy picture. Wi-Fi weak and slow but usable and limited download. Owner operators are friendly and well meaning. They also offer a home cooked breakfast and dinner. They will deliver to your site if you request it. Sites are roomy and level. Welding shop next door provides immediate and impressive trailer repairs if needed. We would return. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Memorial Day Weekend. Nice campground, gravel roads and sites. Sites are pull through, level, with convenient hookups. Site has tree, grass, grill, and nice picnic table. Service was courteous and friendly. Just what we wanted for a drive by one night stand on our way to somewhere else. Serves breakfast and dinner. A good thing so we don't have to unhook the car and drive into town. Rate is value card member rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good park. Fairly convenient to I-40 and quiet enough for a nice overnight. Nice store in the office and breakfast/supper menu on-site. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The cable didn't work, luckly we have satellite, and the Wi-Fi was marginal at best. Staff was friendly and helpful but not a lot going for it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The owners of this park need your business. I would definitely stay here again because they take good care of their campers. The bathrooms in this KOA are really clean. We got a special deal because we made our reservation in advance. We also ate dinner and breakfast at the campground for an additional cost. After a hard day of driving, it was a welcome rest to dine at the campground. The Tengo internet worked best close to the office. Sites were gravel with grass in between. The campground is just outside of Tucumcari with easy on off to the Interstate. I would definitely stop here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Excellent overnight spot. Secure from transients. Very friendly and hospitable owner-family host. Many new site hardware replacements. Good packed gravel sites. Excellent power and strong Wi-Fi. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The day we were to depart there was a near blizzard so we had no option but to stay over another night. Even in those severe weather conditions the bathrooms were maintained to the highest standard, a real credit to the management. They were friendly and offered us any help due to the severe conditions. A great stop over Park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sadly, this KOA camper has to rate this KOA rather low. Check in was quick and friendly. However, the owner chose to park a guy next to us with a 40 ft motorhome and a 30-40 ft trailer, which blocked our exit. We agreed that we wanted to leave at 8, but because breakfast at the restaurant took a rather long time and because the guy next to us seemed to be in no hurry, we left an hour later than we had anticipated. I also don't really understand why they have multiple speed bumps in the park. We had camped here before, but I'm not sure we'll be back. Nothing special about this park for the fee. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice owners. Seem to be always working on stuff in the park. It is an older KOA but not a bad one nighter. Usual crushed stone. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in a camping cabin. This place is run by the nicest people. We had them make our dinner while we took our granddaughter swimming. The food was great and the service was excellent. I would stay here again if ever in the area. It was hot and dry like all of the country is right now. They made our stay very comfortable. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
Management was exceptionally friendly and very helpful with additional travel needs and trip planning. The pool was clean, very cool and a refreshing spot in the heat of our travel. Their restaurant had a very good menu and delivered right to our site. Breakfast was fast and hot before we left on our journey: allowing us to not have to unhook to go find a restaurant. We appreciated this KOA on our way although we are not members of KOA. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I have no complaints about this KOA. The sites are large, with plenty of room to spread out and everything, including the Wi-Fi, worked well. There are lots of trees to provide shade, but still enough open space to allow satellite reception. Management is friendly and accommodating. It's a good place for an overnight or an extended stay. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Absolutely the nicest owners in any campground I have ever been in. In the morning they cooked breakfast (great cook) and would even deliver it to the site if you want. I would recommend this campground for anyone. Big roomy sites, tremendous staff, clean restrooms and showers, nice pool, level sites, very pet friendly. If you are in the Tucumcari area stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground provided a welcome respite after a long day of driving in high winds across Texas. The ground was gravelly, but very level. The sites were roomy and sparse trees offered some shade, yet allowed excellent satellite reception. The Wi-Fi was very good. I would certainly return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Tucumcari KOA boasts a wonderful and friendly staff, exceptionally clean bathrooms, and delicious homecooked meals cooked on site for breakfast and dinner. We ended up staying in Tucumcari a few days longer than we had anticipated because of the clutch going out on our car 55 miles east of Tucumcari. Not only did the owner and his staff go above and beyond to contact local mechanics and tow drivers on our behalf, but they went out of their way to make our prolonged visit as comfortable as possible. His staff is so congenial that they turned what would have otherwise been a nightmare experience of a broken down car in the middle of nowhere into an absolutely delightful stay. We stayed all of our nights but the last one in one of the KOA cabins. The last night we stayed in an on site trailer that was clean and boasted amenities such as a radio, mini kitchen, etc. Highly recommend staying in one of the three basic KOA cabins on site. They offer beautiful views and face Tucumcari Mountain. It is so nice to sit on the swing and enjoy the view. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that they assigned us to the very same cabin we had stayed in last year! Very nice, homey touch. We enjoyed our Tucumcari KOA experience so much that we plan on making a special visit every year just to relax and see our friends at the Tucumcari KOA. It is a safe, clean, and friendly place to stay. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

It is in a very rural area outside of Tucumcari. The restrooms were immaculate. Breakfast was cheap and very good. We met the owners. It is a great place for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay there again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Good for an overnight stay, but not much more. The property could use an overhaul. The picnic tables had bird droppings all about and needed to be redone altogether. The sites need to be re-graveled also. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the bathrooms were clean. Prior visits we enjoyed good meals, both breakfast and dinners. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a clean well kept campground. But what puts it over the top is the owners. They go out of their way to help you with anything you need. The campground also has a cafe. It was wonderful after traveling for 7 hours to pull in and hook up and then have you dinner delivered to your campsite. I can guarantee that whenever I travel anywhere near this campground it is where I will stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The owners of this KOA go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The park is very clean as are the showers and rest rooms. We did not use the laundry. Good electric and water. When we arrived at 5 PM we were asked if we wanted to join in a prepared dinner by the camp hostess (owner) for about $9 per person. We said "YES" and enjoyed a really good Pot Roast dinner with all the fixn's. If you need a good nights stop over give this park a try. You won't be disappointed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Stayed here just one night. Wish we could have stayed longer! Wonderful hosts. They were so accommodating and helpful. Loved having the availability of ordering breakfast and/or dinner, that can be delivered to your site. The food was great! When we come this way again, this campground is a must for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Easy access from I-40 for an overnight stop. We had a very long, and very level pull through, full hook-up. Our site was the only site that was paved. Most are side by side hook-ups but ours was not. It is a typical KOA otherwise both price wise (overpriced) and in appearance. It is just fine for overnight if needing to stay in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Top notch pleasant park and management. Newly renovated impeccable showers. Fresh homemade meals available and delivered to your site. See menu available from manager. Very personable Manager. This a very secure park along the I-40 corridor. Security is a top priority with me in RV parks. No transients walking to and from truck stops. We felt relaxed and`secure during our stay here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice spot to stop off the freeway. We had a long day of snow, called ahead and they said that we could get in here with no problems even thou it was snowing. We were greeted by owner and spent plenty of time to make us familiar with park, escorted to site and made sure all utilities were unburied from the snow. Power was good, Verizon internet was slow, Sprint was faster but not great. Would stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.
This KOA is conveniently located off I-40. It is quite dated and needs some TLC. However, the staff were polite, the Wi-Fi was strong (free for one night) and the gravel sites are all level. This Park is fine for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were not sure, at all, about staying in this campground; but when I went into the office to register, my mind was instantly put to rest! They had a small kitchen where a woman was cooking home-made Mexican dinners. It smelled heavenly. Fresh apple and cherry turnovers too! One of the fellows from the office brought our dinner (and breakfast) to us at our site. Never have had THAT service before! Would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone who passes through this area and needs a place for the night, or, for that matter, several days in order to take in the sights. Nice level sites and quite too. Cable and Wi-Fi. Nice gift shop in office. We would definitely stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly hosts, long level sites but side by side. They have a restaurant and will deliver breakfast or dinner to your site! We had the ribs which were ok. Quiet area. Our only complaint is the price, but we were only here one night so it was worth it for the convenience. There were lower priced sites without all the hookups. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What you expect from a well run KOA. A great overnight park: easy in/out with Wi-Fi and limited cable TV. The bathrooms were very clean and there was strong water pressure in the shower with plenty of hot water. We didn't utilize the food service available nor did we unhook. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our site was level and long enough for both motorhome and toad. All utilities worked well. The cable TV worked fine (not a lot of channels) and Wi-Fi was flawless. The back sites are preferred because they offer a little buffer against highway noise. Sites are fairly close together, but there is adequate room for slides and awning. The park itself was very quiet. There is a restaurant on site that offers breakfast and dinner, and the prices are very reasonable. The food was good. We did not use bathroom facilities, so cannot comment on that. One of the best things about this park is the owner. Very friendly and he works hard to make sure his customers have a pleasant stay. We would certainly choose this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As KOAs go it is better than most. An excellent and safe place to stop along the Interstate for a night. We would utilize this CG again when passing through and needing a place to stay! We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is a good Overnight Spot. Convenient on off highway. Big Rig friendly. No problems with maneuvering in this park. The staff/owners are helpful and friendly. They will even cook dinner if you don't want too and deliver it to your site. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground was such a wonderful surprise at the end of a long day. Very friendly staff, they even serve meals. Will deliver to your rig or eat in the cafe area. Campground showed that the owner's cared. I will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
For the area, this "Kampground" was very nice. Wi-Fi was pretty good and not Tengo like other KOA Kampgrounds. Great access to I-40. We were pleased enough we stayed for an additional 2 nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly staff. Clean park, but needs some TLC with the landscaping. Nice pool to swim in after a long day on the road. Sites were a bit close and I'm sure we woke up our neighbors when we left in the early morning. Will stay here again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. We arrived in a rainstorm, the staff still took us to our site and helped us get settled. Nice breakfast offerings for the morning also. The site was level and the WiFi worked fine. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
EXCELLENT park, GREAT Management and staff, SUPER menu for breakfast and dinner, DELIVERED to your site if you choose that option. Pool is well maintained and grounds are kept in terrific condition. We stayed a MONTH and one day the staff hadn't noticed us around and a staff member actually came to our site to check on us! It's a busy campground and they manage to keep everything flowing in an orderly and calm manner. Quiet hours are well observed and management enforces the rules in a positive and friendly way. Its a great place between Amarillo and Albuquerque We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very friendly, helpful and nice staff. Was easy on/off location from I-40. Internet signal worked perfectly. They offer breakfast and dinner, we had a dinner delivered and it was absolutely delicious! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Tucumcari is desert like but does cool down a lot at night. Bring a fan for the cabins as the a/c needs a little help! Don't forget to bring your own bedding. Good value, clean, staff is okay. Showers and RR are clean. Store is relatively well stocked. We stay here on the way to and from Colorado in a cabin so we don't have to set up our folding camper for only 1 night, better than a hotel and cleaner for the price. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
Very good access to the I-40 and good for a night on the road. Typical KOA- mediocre setting and out of date washrooms. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice staff. Has level sites; great dinner and breakfast food. Was easy on/off location from I-40. Internet signal worked perfectly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Friendly, welcoming staff that escort you to your site. Rate reflects 10% discount with KOA card. Sites are gravel with minimal grass. Restrooms were clean; however, the ones nearest to our site had no hot water. One unique feature is that they offer meals delivered to your site. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was a nice overnight stop, far enough from the highway to be nice and quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I was a bit disappointed in the grounds: there really isn't any grass in NM but the sites were covered with a plant full of burrs. Just needs a good spring clean up. Many of the sites had not been mowed in quite awhile. Pool was still closed, playground was being worked on, so not open either. This is not a vacation destination but it is a quiet, convenient overnight stop, just what we were looking for. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a pleasant surprise! Very conveniently located, immaculate bathrooms and very nice family/owners. They serve meals and though we were burned twice at other campgrounds, this was good homemade dinners that were a fabulous amenity after a long, hard day trying to get through NM before a series of snowstorms begin. We will be staying here each time we pass this way! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was a friendly spot to spend a quick night. For us, it wasn't a destination spot. Quiet and Friendly. The wireless was weak. The laundry room was clean and the machines were fast. The shower nozzles were weak and misty. Personally, i feel like I'm back in High School gym class in showers like that! The food in the campground office/cafe was cheap, but I think it might have been all microwaved. Save your money and cook in the RV. We would stay here again as a pass-through point. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Typical KOA; a good overnight facility, with clean restrooms and utilities that function OK. The park is fairly well maintained with a friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, well kept campground. Proprietors are friendly and very helpful. Close to interstate yet far enough away that traffic noise isn't much of an issue. Gravel spaces are large and level. Utilities worked reasonably well. Good water pressure and AC voltage. Wi-Fi in and out and cable TV a bit on the "snowy" side. Verizon signal strong in the area. Kamper's Kanteen meals are a nice touch. A little more pricey than some others at which we've stayed lately. Great for an overnight. We will return next time we're through this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Basic park for this part of the country. Nice view of Tucumcari mountain. Everything was in good shape. Not much greenery, but then, New Mexico doesn't have it anyway. Owner friendly. Owners offer nightly menu for dinner. We did not try it, but the reputation is good. Great town to check out for RT 66 stuff. Next time we would stay an extra day. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a clean, well-maintained park with a friendly, helpful staff. We did not use bathrooms in the main building, but the bathrooms in the satellite building were very clean and freshly painted. Sites are easy in and easy out for big rigs, but a little close together. The number of cable TV channels is quite limited. This is better than most KOAs, and we recommend it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is close to the interstate but we were looking for EZ off, EZ on. Friendly staff and nice store/gift shop area. We liked being escorted to our site. Cable and Wi-Fi are on site but we used our satellite and our Verizon air card, which both worked great. Would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The owners make you feel right at home. They run a very nice CG. There is propane on site and a lovely play area for kids. They serve breakfast and dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. They even deliver it to your rig. Its quiet at night. The sites are fairly leveled. The air card and satellite worked well. Decent cable TV. I don't think there was much to do in the area but we were here for rest so it suited our needs perfectly. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
There are VERY clean restrooms and showers. There is nice staff. The frass was tall, though, and looked like it hadn't been mowed in a long time. There was a large ant hill on our camp site. There is quite a bit of road noise and we heard a train in the night. Overall, though, we would stay here again - restrooms were very clean and rates were reasonably priced. We camped here in a Tent.
This was our first time camping together and we found this place to be very clean, especially the bathroom and showers. They were organized and well managed. The husband and wife team are great together. She cooks very well and they even personalize their services by bringing meals to your site if need be. We will definitely come back here again on our return to New Mexico. We camped here in a Tent.
My daughter and I came in very late to this campground, and because of a Google search mistake, spent a half hour trying to find it. I finally had to call the campground at 1:30 a.m. The attendant was not rude in the least when he answered, though his voice showed he was awakened by my call. The next morning at 7:00 a.m. when I came in, he was awake, alert and smiled with recognition over the phone call, but was not irritated in the least. I truly appreciated both his directions and his genial attitude. Please note: do not use a google search, as there is a problem with several county roads each being named the same as this campsite. I would stay here again if given the opportunity! We camped here in a Tent.

The best park in Tucumcari. Very clean with very helpful hosts. We camped here in a Motorhome.
It is a typical overnight campground. It is very close to Interstate, with considerable traffic noise. The park was clean, and we would stay again when needing a spot to sleep. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an excellent alternative to staying in Amarillo. Price is somewhat offset by the convenience of being able to order dinner and breakfast and have it delivered to your site. Prices for food were very reasonable. Very friendly and caring staff. Gravel drives and level gravel sites. Grass at every site. Free Wifi and good water and electrical levels. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The owners/staff were VERY friendly and accommodating to our needs! This campground is TYPICALLY a "bypass" campground for travelers on I-40. We stayed on a holiday weekend and there was hardly anyone else staying at this campground - it was almost a "private" setting for us. We had four adults, six kids, two trucks, a fifth-wheel camper and a boat, so we took up a LOT of room, which this campground EASILY accommodated. If you're going to be visiting Ute Lake, we strongly recommend you stay at this KOA - it's a short (~24 miles) drive to the lake (really nice lake!) and you can rest assured of the cleanliness of the bathrooms, campground, etc... We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The price reflects a pull-thru site with our Value Card discount. We found the owners and other staff and guests very friendly and helpful. The sites are level and gravel with great satellite signal. Our Verizon signal was a little weak but okay. We enjoyed a good breakfast for $10. The park has lots of foxtails and burrs which easily found our dog, so check your pet if they've been out. We would stay again, although it seemed a little overpriced. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The first site we were given I knew would not be level and asked the escort to stick around while I used the levelers. When they quit my front wheels were off the ground and he could see them and moved us to a site that was more level. This worked good. Some of the sites are side by side which given the age of the park didn't surprise me. Over all a typical old KOA not too noisy. Clean. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very pleasant RV Park, quiet, no highway noise, well-maintained, and very dog-friendly. The management personnel are personable and accommodating. We had breakfast in their diner, and the biscuits and gravy were commendable. Showers and restrooms were immaculate. Regarding Tucumcari, stay a day and visit their Dinosaur Museum (awesome) and their historical museum, which should be a model for every town's display of their history. We didn't give it a nine because their jacuzzi wasn't operating, and we only give tens to Outdoor Resorts level facilities. This is definitely the best Park in Tucumcari. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The sites are sand and gravel, but ours was a large pull thru and reasonably level. There was no shade. Sites had picnic tables and BBQ with grassy area between spaces. The husband and wife managers, though not gregarious, were extremely polite and helpful. We were offered a site with a view of the mountain if desired. They served a great dinner for pick up or brought to your rig. Roast beef, potatoes, onions and carrots with excellent flavor and tenderness and only $6.99 for a generous serving. Menu varies nightly. The Wi-Fi worked OK. The TV reception was an odd combination of cable access to some cable channels but the antenna was needed for local stations. When we could not get our TV to work properly, they sent their son out to fix it. Why is it any twenty something can handle remotes like Michael Jordon used to handle a basketball? A generational thing, I guess. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are very close together, but beautiful fields surround the park. Very dog-friendly. Helpful and friendly staff & good breakfast. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
All sites are pull through. They have a new swimming pool and great hot tub. They have the best breakfast and dinners in Tucumcari. They offer full hook ups and water and electric sites as well. This is the most peaceful park we have been too. They do have a lot of trees but not a lot of shade. The owners are very helpful and put the campers first. They see to it that your stay is pleasurable. All sites are level and they offer free wifi and cable. To get the local channels, you have to use your antenna. Because Tucumcari is such a small town they don't offer local channels on their cable. The bathrooms are spotless. I have never seen bathrooms that were kept so clean. The cabins offer a double bed, table and chair, and a bunk bed, no water is available in them but the showers are just a couple of feet away. They also have electric, heat and air. You must bring your own bedding, but if you forget yours, they have bedding they can supply you with for the night. If you are facing the back end of the park you get an excellent view of the mesa and the beautiful sunsets Tucumcari has to offer. They escort you to your site and make sure everything is working great. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Standard KOA for this area, easy access off I-40 with normal KOA features. Very friendly staff. Probably the best in Tucumcari. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owners are friendly and prompt. They have a "Kampers Kanteen" that will serve a breakfast & supper at reasonable prices. Sites are gravel with grass between and picnic table/BBQ grill, not spaced far between but they space the campers giving you room between. They stated cable and free wifi - local channels you need an antenna yet. Wifi, that is 'iffy' and was very limited with disconnects constantly, I would say don't count on it if you need it. Could be because it was so windy? I say "ok" for an overnight; park is older you can see, they are making improvements and cleaning it up and the restrooms are clean and neat. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We've stayed here before and it was ok. It's much better now with the new owners. They are very helpful and friendly. They have really cleaned up the place, and it looks as though they are starting to put some asphalt pads in for the RV's. They do offer supper and breakfast at very reasonable costs. We will stop here more often now that they have taken over this place. Rates are very reasonable as well. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I agree about the new owners. I thought it was OK before, but now it is much better. TV is a pain. There are 15 cable stations, but you have to switch to antenna for the networks??? The Wi-Fi is excellent. They now have a modest menu which you can eat at the office, or they deliver to your door. The food was good, and the price was right. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a difference new owners make! Was through here 3 years ago and refused to stay for the junkie trailers, dead trees and and poor condition. I Don't know how KOA ever let remain a franchise. But the new owners have about rebuilt totally one shower/restroom and gutted and redone the other. Now they are spotless. Trees have been replanted and junk is gone. For such close proximity to freeway it was very quiet. The folks that took over are personable, helpful and, rightfully so, take pride in the revitalization of this park. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Pool was not working (looks like it's in the process of being filled in), wi-fi access is extra, basically a good stop for the night. Did have a good playground and guide to take you to your site. They served dinner and breakfast - good food. The night we were there we had a big dust storm - lots of dust and wind (looked like it might actually rain too). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Easy on and off highway yet quiet. Extremely clean baths and showers. Pool was being rebuilt during our stay. On the down side, Wi-Fi was with an extra fee and had poor signal strength. For what KOA charges, Wi-Fi needs to be included. Little diner that serves a decent breakfast. Well stocked store. Owners and most staff were very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We pulled in after closing and were greeted at the door by the owner in his cart by the time we filled out the registration form. Helped us get situated and held the lights for us as we connected our utilities. Nice flat pull through sites. Excellent shower facilities, with some nice personal touches and some of the cleanest and neatest we've seen. Would rate it higher, but were just passing through so didn't really get to evaluate anything else. Was off the highway far enough to not be noisy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This Eastern New Mexico park is typical to most KOA RV Parks, with one important exception: the manager actually cooks meals and delivers them to your site! What a nice surprise to receive a dinner and breakfast menu upon check-in. We had dinner delivered for under $15 and never had to unhook! Our site was long, wide and paved with 50 amp for our electricity-hungry rig. Although there were four tents in front of us, it was quiet. And, although it is near I-40 there was little if any truck noise. There are many mature trees and they are working hard on keeping the grass green even in a severe water shortage area. This RV Park is located in a rural setting with horses and cattle in surrounding fields. For exercise after dinner, we walked for two miles on a paved rural road next to the park. It was very peaceful as the sun was setting and we commented that this was what the RV lifestyle is really about. We stayed one night and would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park for an overnighter, but no shade. Pool was dry, but everything else was as advertised. The late-comers were kind of crammed together instead of being spread out. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owner met us at the entrance and helped us to a nice site. Park is very clean. Although close to the interstate, noise was not a problem. Breakfast was available on site and a welcome change. I would stay here again on my next trip west. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Like other reviewers, this park seems to be deteriorating since our first stay in March, 2006. New owners; we hear. WiFi worked fine for us inside our coach and parked in the back row and while it is close to I-40, it is amazingly quiet. New owners have added breakfast & dinner offerings which they will deliver to your site, if you wish. On the down side though, units are side-by-side and we prefer a bit more elbow room. The place was full when we arrived at 2:30 am and we stayed on a second day to recover from the late arrival. Staff is friendly enough and our dog enjoys the park. We are debating about whether or not we would stay again though on our prior 2 visits (1 for a week), we enjoyed the campground very much. While shower was not clean, it was not severely dirty either and had plenty of hot water with good pressure. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very shabby park, overpriced, and has very tight spaces one to the next in opposite directions. The Interstate is very noisy and there were big rigs and VERY over-sized haulers arriving very late at night. The picnic tables were rotting away, the grass is almost non-existent. We had an "executive" site which gave us a small blacktop area on which to park our coach. KOA needs to get rid of this one. It is a disgrace. They have WiFi but charge for it. Imagine! That's on top of the $43 dollars a night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good location right off the interstate but very little highway noise in the park. Interior roads are dirt/gravel and the campground is showing its age. Staff was friendly and helpful. Evidently some problems with the WI-FI and it does not reach some sites but is available in the game room. Fine for an overnighter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
OK park that is way too expensive. Paid $42 for one night with my KOA card. Ouch! Cable didn't work well. Some of the channels could not be watched. Wi-Fi only worked if we were outside the coach at the picnic table, as did our neighbors. Dirt and grass area to park on. OK for a stopover, but not at the price I paid. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly people, manager was waiting for us at 8 pm and showed us to our site. This is a very noisy park as it is next to the I-40. A good place to spend the night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Not bad for a KOA. Nice spots, clean campground. comfortable place to stay. We got there late but had no problem finding a spot. The wifi requires a "key" to access it. you can only get the key from the office. it was late so no wifi for us! The place was nice for a koa, I would stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a quiet campground with gravel sites, and no lawn, just weeds which are mowed. They do groom the trees, and they are drip irrigated, but they don't have a lawn area probably due to the desert location. It has 2 forms of TV watching which we couldn't make both work. One is some cable stations for $2 a night which we couldn't get working on the second day, and the other is your antenna. The stations come in ok. What is outstanding about this place is how helpful the office is if you have a problem. We had a blown tire, and they offered to call around and see if they could find tires for us. The guy next to us had a propane fitting problem and they came out and helped him yesterday. So they go above and beyond to get a traveler the services they need in this tiny little town. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a very nice campground. Sites were shaded and had full hookups, cable TV and wifi available. Bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. There was a pool and playground for the kids. Interior roads were gravel as were the sites. The sites were relatively level. The staff was very friendly. This is a good place for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
