Why is this camp still open? It's clearly seen better days, with many sad looking rigs that haven't been washed, never mind moved, in decades. Electricals in here are frighteningly patched up. We were promised a "big rig" site, which turned out to be laughable, and had to use the generator because of an unsafe (in our opinion) electrical hook-up that had widely varying power levels through it. It appears the owners are spending nothing on upkeep. Campgrounds seem to be few and far between in this region, but this one is to be avoided under any circumstance. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our site was not level, but tolerable. The park is old, but pleasant. The owner met us and helped us to park. The wifi is spotty, on and then off. Verizon coverage is good, so my phone worked well with the internet. There are hiking trails here. Due to the early season, we were the only travelers here. Nice and quiet park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice little getaway. Nestled near the Berkshire Mountains of Mass. Actually in NY. Sites have enough room so you don't feel cramped. Restrooms need to be updated, but are functional. Staff and his wife are very nice and helpful . If you come to the campground, you need to arrive from the West on route 66 to avoid a very right hand tight turn into the campground, but otherwise it's OK. My portable satellite worked pretty fine. Point it to the SW. Camp store is old but adequate. Great place to see at 221 degrees. Enjoy the leaves during the fall. We will return again, and recommend it to anyone. This is close to the Albany area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
