This is a beautiful park setting. It is close to Cooperstown, yet you feel you are way out in the country. The owners are VERY nice and helpful. The sites are wide and long enough we could keep the tow car hooked up. There are firepits at each site, and it was comfortable to sit out in the evening. The pool is clean and open until dark. We only stayed 2 nights, but would definitely recommend this park to others and would stay again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a great campground, with SUPER hosts. It's a bit off the beaten path, but that was actually kind of nice. My wife and I got to get in our morning runs on roads that had little to no traffic. I think we got passed by 1 car each morning. The kids loved the pool, bounce house, and Amish Ice Cream on Saturday night. We stayed during Memorial Day weekend, and though it was a full campsite, you wouldn't know it. The hosts were excellent, even to the point of coming over when we were leaving, asking which way we were heading, and telling us about a thunderstorm coming through, and offering for us to just hang out a bit if we like and wait till it passed. I can't say enough.. We WILL be going back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is another KOA that is over priced for what you get. It's clean and has a nice pool but no cable TV. They charged us an extra fee for 50 amps even though we are a 30 amp RV. Wi-Fi works and it's is in a corn field. Also, it's not in Cooperstown but Richfield Springs, which is about 25 miles away. The roads to get to the park are narrow and mountainous. A challenge if you have a large rig. We stayed one night and won't do so again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the best places we have been. Staff super friendly. The owner brought fresh picked corn to our site, free of charge. Everything clean. Even let kids borrow movies for free. Great family campground! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the first KOA we stayed in. It was AWESOME. Very friendly staff. They are right there at your site when you check in to help you out, and they check back on you. Very clean site, safe, well kept. We would definitely stay there again if we ever go to Cooperstown again. We will also definitely stay at KOA's again in the near future. Well worth the price!! We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campground is in the country and has a beautiful view. It is very clean and well maintained. The sites are grass and mostly level, but we did use blocks under the jacks. The owners are extremely helpful. We would have stayed longer if we had not already made reservations for our next stop. We will return if we ever get in the area again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean park, easy in and out, a little far out in the country but direct route to Cooperstown, only a few miles South. Quiet, park personnel are very nice and helpful. Would camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This a really nice campground. It is out in the country and is actually about 12 miles from Cooperstown. Wi-Fi could have been stronger, but when it worked it was fine. Our Verizon card was pretty fast too. Very helpful office staff. We almost had the entire campground to ourselves. This campground closes in two weeks for the rest of the season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. No cable, and TV reception was poor. Easy access, very quiet and well maintained KOA. The main reason we came to the area was to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Had a great time. Also check out the New York State Farmers Museum. Veterans got in free. We camped at this campground after picking up our new fifth wheel. Upon pulling in, you were greeted with a wonderful office. The staff was extremely friendly and let us in early. The owner escorted us to our site and helped to get the camper set on the site. There was a list of activities planned for the weekend which included fireworks at the nearby softball stadium and fresh baked goods from a local Amish woman. The campground was small, but very clean and well taken care off. You could not ask for nicer hosts who always greeted you and stopped by your site regularly to see how everything was going. We cannot wait to return to this campground again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I would recommend this campground to everyone. Owners are the friendliest people we have ever met. They are very accommodating, show you to your site, will help you level. Several times throughout our stay, they asked if we needed anything and if everything was ok. Campground is very clean, quiet, the pool is very clean and the roadways are well maintained. The bathrooms and showers very clean as well. Park was full and it was still very quiet. Campground is actually about 10 miles from Cooperstown and off the beaten path about a mile, but well worth the trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners were friendly and helpful, location remote, but peaceful in a country setting. Shared electric and water, so if you are assigned a site(which we were) with services on the right, need long electric cord, sewer at back of site. Asked for a different site with services on left, was moved next to a long term RV with 2 families occuping. They had a car parked in our assigned site that I had to request they move. Their fire ring was located within 5 feet of our drivers door. They started a fire at 5pm and kept it burning all night. Hope we will be able to air out as we drive to our destination. I had to asked them to move their car before I could depart my site. If you are towing, I don't consider this KOA big rig friendly. In 4 years as fulltimers, the worst experience at a KOA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want a quiet peaceful setting within corn fields during your visit to the Cooperstown area this is the place. The owners can't do enough for you. Electric was solid and internet worked fine. About 15 minutes from the Cooperstown area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not really near Cooperstown proper, there are closer places. This is waaaaay out in the country. Beautiful area with farmland, cattle. The staff is awesome, very helpful. It worked for us as we had other things to do in this area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, quiet park. We had site #41, which was an ample pull-though in the middle of the park. Clean pool. Showers were the individual "locker" style, and were very clean, although just adequate in decor. The owners went out of their way to be friendly to us--making sure our kids knew where the closet of sports equipment was located (they were allowed to borrow the items for free) and told us that we could pick the corn from the fields surrounding the park. They even stopped and waved to us as we pulled out on our last day, seems like a small thing but it really showed their appreciation for our business. Call ahead for specific directions as our GPS took us through some VERY winding country roads after we got off the expressway. The owner said he could have given us much better directions had we called. Short drive to Cooperstown. We parked at a trolley lot and took the trolley to the Farmers Museum (which was excellent) as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame. The trolley was extremely easy to use. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the best KOA's I ever stayed at. The new Owners went out of there way to help us. The Hayride was awesome, the park was clean. It had tree's at every site, but not forest's. Price's in the store were very cheap. No price gouging. If your going to Cooperstown stay here in your camper, rent a cabin or RV they have. Everyone that came in got the attention of the owner and they would do whatever they could to help. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We just got back from a weekend of camping at Cooperstown KOA. While the campground in actually in Richfield Springs, NY - about 10 miles from Cooperstown, it was definitely worth the stay. The owners are very accommodating, the park is very well maintained and everyone was friendly. This was only our third time towing our brand new fifth wheel. Owner took us to our site and helped us level and made sure we where OK before he left us. He told us to come and see him for anything we needed. Our friends needed a new bulb for one of their lights and the office didn't have one. The owner went out the next day and bought one at the local auto parts store for him. They had some nice activities for all to enjoy, hay rides, bingo, beautiful pool even though it was too chilly to enjoy. I would recommend this campground to anyone who is looking for a small out of the way campground. They have 50/30/20 amp, full hookups, tent sites, etc. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first stay in NY. We didn't know what to expect when we got here, but we loved our stay at this campground. Very clean and quiet. The new owners are very nice. We had a very relaxing yet fun time. The kids enjoyed going into Cooperstown, and Howe Caves which are nearby. If we are ever up this way again, this campground will be our first choice. We were very surprised at this KOA, very clean, big grassy pull throughs, quiet, no seasonals. The new owners were very friendly, helpful and are working on getting cable to the sites. The WI-FI is good, although a little slow at times, but that could be the ISP provider. We visited Cooperstown and the surrounding areas. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here while visiting the baseball hall of fame. The new owners were fantastic and even went to an Amish farm to get us some bread, cookies, and rolls. We would surely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice people who own the franchise. Pretty good layout. Nice that we could help ourselves to the riping corn. That said, like all KOAs it is overpriced for what you get, but it served the purpose that we needed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful Grassy Sites. Convenient access and easy commute to Downtown Cooperstown. Limited WIFI access. Access is Free, but requires a key and only allows 2 hours per day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

New owners had just taken over the park the weekend we arrived, they were super nice, helpful and friendly and discussed many of their future up grade plans for the campground. The sites are large and clean. Great base camp for exploring the area such as the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Only set back is it is set in the heart of farm country and August is the month the farmers spray their fields with manure and depending on how the wind blows it can get quite over powering, and the spraying also brings out the flies in full force. I would definitely go back as I loved the campground just not in August. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very nice campground for a basecamp to Cooperstown. The staff is very friendly, the sites are mostly pull through and the pool was always clean and open. It's pretty much in the middle of farm land so even though there isn't any security it didn't bother me since there is truly nothing around you. We would stay there again, it's a little pricey considering there is no cable or internet available, but overall it was a comfortable place. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very nice campground located about 8 miles north of Cooperstown NY. It sits up on a hill in the middle of farm country. All of the sites are open with few trees, but the sites are very big. Had to use the leveling jacks, but not to any great degree, to level. Owners live on the grounds and are very nice and helpful. A great base camp to explore the sights in Cooperstown. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean KOA park in the Cooperstown area. Park is at top of hill and always had a nice breeze. Dirt roads that got very muddy after a hard rain. Could use gravel. Sites were grass & handled the rain well. The sewer hook-ups were at the entrances to each site which made getting a large rig into site difficult. Park made a good base camp to explore Cooperstown & Catskill area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Not sure of the nightly rate as we came here with a caravan group. Several of us were parked together and it appears we overwhelmed their 30 amp electrical circuit. Voltage fluctuated over a range of 106 to 123 volts. Voltage was so low in the AM that we choose not to turn on the microwave or toaster. This was even with the water heater turned off. So no hot coffee! Not a good way to start a morning. Although Wi-Fi was available, we could not get a strong enough signal in our site for it to be useable. Owners seemed nice enough, but they have some work to do. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Busy family CG on the weekend, quiets down and less campfire smoke weeknights. $40 a bit on the expensive side. Rooftop TV dish worked, Sprint cell phone worked in roaming, Sprint Internet access OK but slow. Staff was very helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners of this campground are super accommodating and made our stay a good one. The campground was, in many ways, reminiscent of the best of State parks. Woodsy and rural, yet offered most modern amenities. Full hookup and a good, large, gravel pad made our stay (33 foot rig) comfortable and clean. Laundry facilities were clean and in working order. Rest rooms were also clean, though I did not check shower facilities. Pool was clean and inviting-looking. Wi-Fi reception was good. No TV reception was available. We would absolutely (and will) return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice. 9 miles north of Cooperstown. Wi-Fi - fee, but reasonable. Definitely family place. Nice store. Game room. Big pool - super clean, with large deck for sitting in sun/watching kids. Great adventures for kids, fishing in pond- no license needed. Play structures are new. Nice laundry facility in separate building. All new machines. I would return again. This campground was neat and clean, the owners were friendly and we enjoyed the proximity to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. We had site 16 on the pond and it was a little difficult leveling the camper. The other pond sites looked to be more level. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Park was clean and neat. Camp store stocked nicely. Our site, site 32 is recommended. Lots of room. Some shade. Some privacy and grass too. Only gripe: Showers. There was only one shower complex at front of campground and there was a wait every time. To bad they don't have showers located around campground or at least another complex available in rear of campground. There were rest rooms located in 3 or 4 locations and they could add a shower or two if they agreed with my review. Anyway. I would camp here again: go Red Sox! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Let's start with the negative - there is no cell reception here, there is no TV reception here - and none of these are the fault of the owners. Now the positive. This is the quietest place we have been. Even though it rained the entire time we were here and they had to use the honey truck to suck up the standing water, the campground is really nice. The owners are so helpful and friendly. They work very hard to keep the grounds nice and it shows. We thought we had reservations but didn't (due to our own error) and they did more than necessary to accommodate us. For that we will always be grateful. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean, family oriented campground. Super nice owners, and you can tell that they really enjoy running the campground. Beautiful facilities, spacious sites, nice pool, great place to have clean camping fun. Very quiet during our stay. Clean showers and baths. Everything was nice and in good repair. I wish this one was closer to home because I'd stay there often! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Camp sites are located around a lake and are nice for the fall leaves. The campground was nice for what it was but is a 5 on the 10 point scale. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not far from Cooperstown, and it is a straight shot to get to the Hall of Fame. Nicely landscaped, very helpful and courteous owners. Laundry facilities were extremely clean. Only reason I didn't give a 10 rating is that the WiFi is a tad weak, but able to get most internet sites. I would not hesitate to return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here with a 40' Mh. Nice friendly owners. Great heated pool and clean rest rooms. They need to trim away a few high branches. The only drawbacks of the campground is that they don't have 50amp and only 8 full hookups. We have camped here since the 90's and would return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This camp is rated as a good one. It was the third camp we visited. It was less than promised. The road was narrow though the staff helped you navigate the narrow roads. Hook ups were fairly far from the usual access locations. We could not hook up to the sewer despite having the standard length connecting hose. Wi-Fi is neither free nor easily available. Cell phone coverage is only verizon. The pond is quite small. It sounds to be in Cooperstown but is a good 20 miles away on a winding road. Would not go there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here twice for two nights each. Once was during the floods in late June. They were very good, watched the water levels to make certain our trailer was safe and were prepared to relocate our TT when the water started rising and we were not at the site. Owners live on site and were friendly, checked in several times through both stays to ensure that all was well. We look forward to our next chance to stay there. Sites were very level - trailer did not require any side to side leveling. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice couple has bought this place in the past two years and doing a ton of work to it. Sites are clustered in groups and there is separation between site clusters. Sites are more spread out that map would suggest. It was a bit wet and muddy, but this campground had been partly flooded in late June. If you are going to Cooperstown, I would highly recommend it. This is a beautiful campground, located on the east side of Otsego Lake at the north end, approximately 9 miles from Cooperstown. The major deficiency, from our perspective, was the small number of full hook-up sites. With grandchildren using the bathroom and taking baths/showers, we ended up getting three pump-outs at $12. 00 each. There is an ample number of sites for large rigs BUT the roadways tend to be narrow and winding with many overhanging trees and the occasional sharp curve. Nonetheless, many large rigs managed to negotiate their way through without difficulty while we were there. The owners of this well-established campground were new in 2005 and make a genuine and sincere effort to be hospitable and helpful. Getting to the campground can be difficult due to narrow, winding highways along the lake. The owners provide detailed directions on how to "get there" without a problem. The directions are on the website and should be followed precisely. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A great campground, very obvious the owners take pride in a clean place. We asked for and got an open site to use my satellite dish. Friendly front desk staff. Large pull thru mostly level with space between sites. Power was fine running two ACs. Water pressure good. Just a very few long term residents with very neat setups. No junky rigs anywhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is basically a very nice park but somewhat a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in that the wooded campsites are very nice and rival a State Park for privacy and shade but the sites in the open are completely unshaded, yet they are adequately spaced. The tent sites were very nice as well and some were isolated from the rest of the park. The restrooms/showers by the office were clean and separate and the other bathhouse I visited was clean. The pool is very nice but a bit small and got crowded one evening. The internet was very erratic and could be slow at times which could have been caused by a small bandwidth available to the park itself. Even though this was Hall of Fame weekend at Cooperstown and the park was full it was generally very quiet and peaceful. With the internet so slow and the lack of cable I cannot give the park a higher rating but if we ever come to Cooperstown again, we will stay here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Previous rating of "5" was a little harsh for the reasons given although "9 or 10" is equally out of bounds. Descriptions provided are accurate. The open areas of the CG are arranged to provide full sun all day, read that a no or very few sites will provide any shade by your rig/awning. Nice pool and gated access. Beware of the dog (excrement) in many grassy areas from the unleashed pets. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a few days to see Cooperstown and Lake Otsego area. Would suggest the prime time to visit the area as many places were still closed but a good campground for overnighters. The campground is newer and the owners friendly but one that is on the pricey side. The roads to access the campground are poor (are all roads poor nowadays?) so watch for the potholes. The spaces are level with good hook-ups. Cooperstown and other spots are minutes away. The park is very kid friendly, quiet and dark at night – good sleeping weather. We would have given them a higher rating except for two issues – Wi-Fi was terrible (Tengo-thing) and no cable TV. In today’s market, to earn top dollar, you have to have all amenities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There is nothing bad to say about HHCG! Very friendly and accommodating staff; great interior roads with lots of space for all types of RVs; some wooded spaces; clean bathrooms (and all other facilities were very nice, also). Being close to Cooperstown and other area sites, made it a perfect place to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice. One of the best I have stayed in. Extremely convenient to Cooperstown Dreams Park. The one glitch that keeps me from scoring this as a "10" is the GUEST FEES. If you are considering this Campground because you are meeting family for a week-long Youth Baseball event, I recommend that you address the GUEST FEES issue with the owners before booking. This was a great campground. You could choose either wooded and very shaded (but no satellite) or the open grassy field. We had wooded. Very clean and picked up. Staff was extremely friendly. Sites were packed gravel as well as the roads. Weather was different every hour. Had several heavy thunderstorms but not the CG fault. Wi-Fi did not work well in wooded valley but Verizon card did. Wooded sites were very spacious and separated. Power and water was good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Owners are just terrific. Very accommodating and friendly. We had a pull-through site that was very large and level. We did have trouble with the Wi-Fi (never did get it working). Owners offered to help get us up and running, but we were so busy that we never had time to take them up on their offer. Fire ring on site and reasonably priced wood at the office. The grounds are immaculate and very attractive. We would definitely stay here again. Close to Dreams Park and short drive to Cooperstown. Don't miss the Farmer's Museum. Wonderful place to stay! The family who built and run the place is very friendly and knowledgeable. Choice of open sites in field area or wooded sites. Bathrooms/showers (free) spotless, grounds well-cared for. Our wooded site had some trash left by last campers but was overall spacious, level and quiet. Lots of space for kids to run, bike riding, horseshoes. Convenient to Cooperstown and surrounding area, including trolley parking lot. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! What a great RV park! BIG spacious sites, some up on the hill overlooking the beautiful trees and others in the woods. The staff here goes over and above to help. This is a family-run park, and it's apparent that they have a great love for their work. The laundry works well, a little pricey at $3.00 to wash and a quarter for 6 minutes to dry. The Wi-Fi works very well, only wish there was a connection for cable TV. We will definitely come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful campground. Closest and most convenient to Cooperstown. Grocery nearby. Flat, level, large spaces either in open area or woods. The owners are an extended family that care about the place and the customers. The restrooms, showers, laundry are spotless. Would definitely stay again. We ended up staying 8 nights. We thought this was a great park for an overnight stay. We were in the area to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame while on our way to Canada. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the site was spacious and relatively clean. The only real issue I had was that the site was angled and we had to use all ten of our leveling blocks on the front-left side to make it level. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large property with both wooded and open sites, including several large designated tenting areas and a string of rental cabins. Interior roads and sites are well-maintained gravel, which does generate a bit of dust during dry spells. The wooded sites are generally back-ins, and the open sites are a mix of back-in and long (70'+) pull-through sites; all should accommodate rigs to 45'. There is a good-sized and active swimming pool and a pavilion available for rental for group events. Given the proximity to Cooperstown (think the park is actually in Milford) and various sports camps in the area, this park is popular with families spending time with kids involved in baseball activities. All of the sites in the open area should be satellite-friendly. Park Wi-Fi was strong and stable, and cell service was good. Although there isn't a designated dog run, we were able to exercise our two dogs by walking the various park roads as needed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first RV camping trip and it was excellent! A beautiful wooded spot with a beaver pond in view but far enough away from mosquitoes. Located close to everything in Cooperstown, including a few choices where to kayak, which we did in the Susquehanna River. The Wi-Fi was spotty, hence the '9' rating. Otherwise the staff was so helpful and friendly and the grounds clean. It was just a wonderful experience. Full hookups were great! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here just one night to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame (about 7-10 minutes away). We selected this park because the reviews suggested reliable 50amp service and reliable, free Wi-Fi. Both of these are true. We are camped in the "field" that other reviewers have complained is "a parking lot". Yeah, it is. However, the spaces are huge! Our pull-through spot must be 100 feet long and 50 feet wide. It's not like our awning is banging the coach next door, like some parks in Florida. We are taking off early tomorrow. And, even though the office opens at 9am, the owner has agreed to meet us at 6:30AM to fill up our propane tank. This is a nice park. With a concrete pad instead of gravel, a hot tub, and a bass pond or a slightly lower price, I'd rate this place a 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful campground. We stayed here for a week in site F12 while my son played baseball at Cooperstown Dreams Park: a short 5 minute drive away. The wooded section of the campground is just amazing. If you are looking for a great spot, I would suggest F9. It is close to the bathhouse (which are extrememly clean, but a little spartan), nice wooded site with lots of privacy. The wooded sites are all leveled with gravel and well thought-out in the layout. Be advised, the wooded sites are a little bit of a hike to the office, laundry and pool, but there is plenty of parking available if you hop in your car. The laundry facilities are very clean and modern, but pretty pricey (about $4 per load to wash and dry). The staff here is just wonderful to work with. Very helpful. We were not able to hook up our satellite TV in the wooded area (due to the trees), but it would have been easy to do in the field sites. Can't comment much on the field sites except they did seem big, but not much privacy with no trees around. All in all, excellent campground for the Cooperstown area. This is what camping should be like! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a tough campground to rate. The pros include the owners, who were just great. hey were very friendly and eager to help. The campground is clean and the landscaping is well maintained. The bathrooms were just ok. They were cleaned twice a day, but the layout was tight and the quality of the floors/walls/fixtures was just ok. There are a few seasonal campers that had well maintained sites and seemed friendly. The camp store was adequate and the laundry facilities were really nice and modern. Also, the campground is located in a convenient location with the Dream Park about 3 minutes away, the Baseball HOF about 10 minutes away and the Soccer HOF about 20 minutes away. Now to the negative aspects of the campground; there are almost two campgrounds. One is in a field and the other is in the woods. The wooded sites are really nice. The sites in the field are just ok. They are well spaced, but I am just not partial to camping in a field with 30 other campers who can all see each other. My second knock on this campground is the pool. It is a nice pool and it was well maintained. However, the pool seemed way too small for the size of the campground. This is especially true for a campground that caters to kids who are playing baseball at the Dreams Park. All in all it was a good campground, but not a great campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful place!!! Choice between wooded and open sites. All are huge and level. Family owned and run with very friendly staff. Nice pool and recreation facilities. Easy drive into Cooperstown. Only complaint: no cable and limited TV in wooded site, but we really didn't have time for TV. Be prepared for steep hill on roads into park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The best part about this park is the owners. They go out of their way to try to accommodate whatever you need to make your stay a good one. We wanted internet, so we moved from our assigned spot in the trees to the top, but we still were not able to get internet, which was disappointing. The park is pretty, easy to get to and close to everything in Cooperstown. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Road and campsites are gravel. We stayed in the open section. There are several wooded sites but we needed to be sure our satellite would work. We had a large pull thru that was very level. Everything was clean and mowed. The laundry room also had new machines and was very nice. Staff was friendly. Great location for Baseball Hall of Fame, or Cooperstown Dreams Park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived one day earlier than planned and spent our first night on a pull-thru site that was neither level nor landscaped. Looked to be one of about a dozen sites largely designated for transients and one-night visitors. Moved to our reserved site in the woods on the second night. It was beautiful, totally level, fully serviced (50 amp)and easily negotiated in our 40-foot motorhome even though it was a "back-in". The only negative was an inability to obtain a satellite or antenna television signal ... and the campground does not have cable. We were able to receive NPR on a small radio but otherwise, were cut-off (information-wise) from the world. We could not get a WiFi signal at our site. Nice areas/trails to walk. As the closest RV campground to Dream Park, Hartwick Highlands is devoted to baseball 24/7. A very interesting and lively place. Cooperstown and environs, as always, are terrific and great fun. Lots of wonderful places to see, things to do, and restaurants to visit. We will return just because it is all such fun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautifully maintained campground with sites to suit all tastes. We preferred to have some shade so we were in sites D-3 and D-4. Many of the sites are in an open field. The owners are very amenable and eager to please. We were VERY close to Cooperstown. We would definitely return there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a clean, spacious park. The grounds were well-kept. We stayed in F7 - a great site in the woods, close to a bathhouse and easy walk to the pool and playground. All things (laundry, arcade, bathrooms) were clean and maintained. A great location for Cooperstown and Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta. Wish we had more time to stay! We would return and tell our friends about it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We spent a week here while our son was playing at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Staff was great and campground was very clean with nice restroom facilities. Very short drive down a country road to the Dreams Park. Would highly recommend for anyone who takes there RV to Cooperstown. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is actually in the city of Milford, NY. Do not follow your GPS to get to this campground. Follow HWY 28 to Seminary Road. Do not take Burke Hill. Their Directions state this but GPS will show Burke Hill which is a real bad road. This is a nice campground. A lot larger than it looks. It has some very wooded sites that are great but you won't Sat there. We got Directv in site C14 35 226. Showers and restrooms are distant but clean. Trash bin is at front. Sites are not quite level. Took two lego blocks to level. Good room between sites some grass but a nice open areas for walking dogs. Great swim pool. Has many nice cabins. A little expensive for us. Wal-Mart is 11 miles away but P&N grocery about 5 miles. Only negative is that the shore power is close to the front of the sites. Had to park TV in rear once disconnected. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice, clean and spacious sites. We had shaded back-in sites for our 38' 5W and had plenty of room. If the new wi-fi would reach all the sites, we would have given this park a 10. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice campground conveniently located to the Baseball Hall of Fame and other attractions of Cooperstown. The campground is very spacious, providing easy access for big rigs, large sites, good roads, etc. If there is a downside to the spaciousness, it is that many of the sites are a pretty good walk from the pool, camp store, and other facilities. One quirk is that the hookups are located toward the front of the pull-through sites - - be sure you have long sewer and water hoses. There are not many trees in the central pull-through area, but there are smaller back-in sites in the perimeter wooded area. At the time of our stay, the laundry was closed pending installation of a new septic tank. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park for families with kids. Always activities going on for them. Pool was huge and clean. Although we were in a tent we camped on a RV site so we could be right on the lake. The tent sites are up on the hill with none having lake front. Fishing for the kids was awesome, the lake is the best stocked lake I have ever seen! Wi-Fi did work at our site. It was a little crowded though and got noisy at night and nothing was done to quiet it. Long walk to the main office, playground, and arcade from most of the sites. We camped here in a Tent.

Stayed here while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Usually love the Jellystone CG's. However, this one is not on par. The lake is poorly maintained and very unappealing with the amount of debris in it. We were surprised at how many permanent campers there were. The trash pick up at your site is great, but if you don't want to sit at the arcade, you will not be able to use the Wi-Fi. The staff was a mixed group. Some nice and some indifferent. Will skip this CG the next time around. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty, quiet campground that makes a good base for seeing Cooperstown and the surrounding area. It is very relaxing here, and if we are in the area again, this is where we will stay. There are only four 50A sites so if you want 50A, probably best to make a reservation. Verizon air-card doesn't work very well at the site and their wi-fi doesn't work at all the the site. But both work great outside of the arcade where they have tables and comfortable chairs. Many activities are available and the employees were very nice and helpful. Trash is picked up at your site twice a day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground to experience with children. There were many planned activities, hayrides,visits with Yogi and Boo Boo, a clean pool, arcade, boat and bike rentals. It was clean and private. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We arrived after 11 pm and were guided in to our site by the security guard. This park was not crowded and sites were reasonably spaced. It's a great place for families! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for July 4th weekend. We were very disappointed since it was a Jellystone Park. The employees were mostly very rude and had a I don't want to work type of attitude. They enforced none of the rules. Some of the sites had 2 to 3 tents per site. They had asked some people to leave due to the fact they were cutting down trees with axes and never enforced it. Some people were fixing cars on the campsites & washing dirty dishes in the road. The lake was very dirty. I found this campground to be very trashy. We will not return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I don't know about the past, but this was a fabulous park for us on our recent visit. You will pay for amenities, but this place had it all. With young children, it's sometimes hard to keep them busy at a campground. At Jellystone Park, there are constant planned activities, as well as a nice game room, miniature golf, boat rentals, and a store that has all your needs. The bathrooms were always spotless, it appeared to me that they cleaned them at least 4 times a day. Having your trash picked up on site was also a nice perk, as well as the visits from Yogi and friends. My 3 year old son LOVES these parks (we also stayed at the one in St. Louis). The staff was pleasant and helpful. Can't say enough good things about it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My wife and I joined her mom and three other couples that we invited to camp along with us at Jellystone Campground at Crystal Lake in Garrattsville, NY over the week of the 4th of July holiday. We had camped there a couple of times over the past few years and really enjoyed the campgrounds. The kids loved it then and it was a no brainer to go back. Now I do not know if we will ever go back. It is under new management and not nearly as well run as in the past. Granted, there had been some severe rains and flooding in the week leading up to our trip, so I will not mention the logistical problems that that created, but we found it inexcusable that the bathrooms were filthy, out of toilet paper a number of times, and, in one really terrible example, both toilets in the men's room were plugged and about to overflow. We would notify the office when supplies were low, and in one laughable example, after telling them that both bathrooms were out of toilet paper, they sent a staff member with one roll. The place is seriously understaffed. I think that one girl was assigned to clean all of the bathrooms and shower buildings on the grounds the whole week. The activity staff didn't seem very friendly, actually ignoring me as I waved to a couple of them one morning. The snackbar and campstore/office closed early nearly every day that we were there, one time as early as 6:30pm. When the snackbar was open, it was out of paper products a couple of times. Tiles around the pool were cracked and falling off, leaving jagged edged pieces around the pool area and in the pool. The dumpsters at the park were full and overflowing by Sunday (our second day there) and did not get emptied until Thursday. Now, I understand that the holiday was Tuesday, but, come on, we made our reservations for the holiday week back in the fall and I am sure that most of the people there had reserved their site long ago. Management knew they were going to have a full campground, it was no surprise to anyone. Why not make special arrangements to ensure that dumpsters get emptied? We do not have need for the dumping station, but I heard from some campers that it was full and overflowing by Sunday also. I personally know of two campers who pulled out early, before the holiday, due to the conditions. Trailer Life gave this campground a very high rating last year, and I trust that rating. Hopefully they will look closely at it this year before rating it again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Issues I encountered: 1) Was promised one RV unit and was switched to another less-desirable RV when I arrived. 2) Made family wait an hour for checkin. 3) Woke family up at 8AM one morning when filling propane tanks. Noise lasted close to 20 minutes. 4) Overheard staff complaining about guests. 5) Tried to rent bikes 20 minutes for my kids before closing (7PM during summer!) and was told in a very nasty way to come back the next day even though place was very empty. 6) Advertise all kinds of activities but when you are here, you have to use them when they make them available. Many weren't open more then an hour one day per week. 7) Management not accommodating at all, and have bad attitude. Much more concerned with rules then with guests. Was verbally abused by a staff member in front of family! 8) I will never return to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I went to this campground because it got very high ratings in my Frommer's guide book for site privacy and spaciousness. I was very disappointed and found these ratings inaccurate. As another reviewer stated, there was really nothing between sites but a picnic table. We had a lakefront site and although there were very few campers there this weekend, I could see the people who were twenty sites away, so site privacy was pretty much non existent. Had it been a full weekend, we would have only had about five feet between us and our neighbors. I drove around and looked at other sites, and it all seemed the same. The lake - Crystal Lake - is anything but crystal. It was the brownest, smelliest lake I've ever seen. There were dead fish along the shore. You cannot swim there, and for obvious reasons. We took a paddle boat out and you can't even see 1" below the surface. When we asked for directions in the office to any of the nearby attractions, no one could tell us anything - they all seemed to be work campers and not from the area. When we did finally get directions to the Baseball Hall of Fame (30 minutes away) they were wrong. We had to stop at a gas station and get straightened out. They did have a fair amount of activities, but since we didn't have kids with us, we didn't go to them. We did go to a pancake breakfast, which we had signed up ahead of time for, but many showed up without signing up, so they were understaffed and it took 45 minutes to get pancakes for the two of us. I won't be returning. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and it was completely full. We had a lakeside site which was great for the fishers in my family (although they didn't catch anything) and a lovely view. The sites were decent size but there is nothing between you and your neighbor and just a few trees along the lake for shade (our site had none). The sites up on the hill (non lakeside) seemed very close but shadier. Even though we were one of the closest sites to the bathroom, it was an walk up an unpleasantly steep hill to get there. The bathroom needed some work - the sinks were so high my 9 year old could just about wash her hands and two of the four doors to the toilet stalls were so crooked they wouldn't close. But, on the positive side - we had a nice time with the ceramics classes and the hayride. We also enjoyed the talent contest and concert one night. The pool was nice, but at that time it was too cold for most of us. It has a very well stocked store and the check in system was quite smooth. I would stay there again if I needed to be in the area (and not on a holiday weekend) but I wouldn't make a special 3 hour trip just to go there. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

The sites on the lake were lovely but we ended up in a cramped area away from the lake where everyone was on top of each other. It was difficult to back our TT into the cramped site, but the staff helped us out and were quite pleasant. There were pleny of activities for the children and a decent pool to swim in. This is a nice place but honestly I don't feel it's worth the 10 points/5 diamonds some of the rating guides give it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
