We have camped here many times but this year will probably be our last. Sites were not ready for us even though we had booked well in advance. Pond not very clean. Staff not very available (i.e., in the office). Store not stocked with supplies (camping or food). Game room OK. Activities OK. Morgan RV does offer good deals (e.g., $19/night to book weekend before Memorial Day if booking Memorial Day as well). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Where do I start?! We came here because we have a group of friends in the tri-state area and we always camp together on Memorial Day weekend. This campground is the absolute worst campground I have ever been at! The bathrooms consisted of two hollowed out, 5 gallon buckets with toilet seats, with no divider for any kind of privacy, and they emptied into a pit! They were so close to each other, you could have easily played cards with anyone that was sitting next to you! While this might be acceptable at a rustic or state campground, this certainly was not worth the money we paid to stay at a "RV Resort." There were other bathrooms, one at the safari field which was boarded shut, and then there was the only real bathroom which consisted of 5 individual shower/bathrooms that were never cleaned, and always had a line of 12 people or more waiting at them. The A-frame cabins that some people in our party booked and paid over 100 per night for, had not been cleaned, had no propane for the stoves, and did not have screens on the windows. My "Premium" site which I was told had electric, water, cable and sewer, had only water and electric, and a ripped up and torn cable line sitting by the electrical hookup. I could not find any sewer connection. I asked at the front office and was told by an employee that the site had one, but I probably just couldn't see it. I didn't know I was supposed to look for one! She said it may have been covered over. Then there is the final straw that made me leave a day early. Saturday night around 8:00pm, someone drives up to a tree outside of my site and stapled a flyer which stated, "Please boil water until 5/31/2011, sorry for the inconvenience." We have a water filter on our trailer, but had been using the water to brush our teeth, wash up and do our dishes since we arrived on Friday! When we asked an employee about the sign, she said she didn't know what was wrong with the water, but not to drink it. This was the only sign in the entire area I was in! This place was supposedly taken over by Morgan RV Resorts in 2008. If it was, they sure haven't done anything to fix it up! If they have, I would hate to see what it looked like before. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! If you must visit Copake, there is a very nice KOA about a mile from this campground: it is very nice. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Shade is scarce on the limited transient sites at this campground, seems most of the shaded sites are taken by seasonals. This is a mostly seasonal campground but noticed seasonal sites/campers were well maintained. Geography of campground is mostly level with decently graded roads. Wi-Fi and cell phone was spotty. Our water pressure, power and sewer connection was okay. Sites seemed good size and easy to get into. Some of the bathrooms were dated. Staff was professional and friendly. Campground could use a pool. Overall we enjoyed this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this campground last year as our 1st place with our new camper and really liked the place. We heard last year that they had been purchased by Morgan Campgrounds(?). We thought they were going to make improvements. While it appears they are we found that each time we have gone back it becomes more about the money. We took our daughter and boyfriend with us this past weekend only to find out it is $15 per extra person per night plus $10 for the car. Well for us it was only $35 when we added the kids it was another $35 dollars to be at our site. If I had realized that I would have just gotten their own site it was the same price. When I mentioned that it seemed expensive for the guest the girl said yeah, I said it doesn't seem like you care to which she replied no. Well I think that is my last visit there. For 4 of us it was $140 dollars. I spent a week and a half at the Saugerties KOA and it only cost me $350. They also seemed just to be more concerned about money. The internet is $1, while that certainly isn't excessive but why charge $1? We had thought about getting a seasonal there next year but it seems like it is all about money now. We noticed it towards the end of last year when we stayed a couple of times. Sorry Waubeeka you lost a couple of regulars. They even sent out that you couldn't use your air conditioning even if you had a 50 amp site we had a 30 but my brother in law had a 50 amp and when he got his email confirmation it said no AC during the month of July well that is when you need it. It was in the 90's both days this past weekend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Specified cable TV and AC site. Did not receive either. Was told AC not available in July. When I asked about the cable TV hookup after I was all set up attendant just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Two night stay for 2 adults and 3 children was $80 when I told them I had no children but brought 2 adult guests I was charged $60 for them to stay two nights. This Campground was recently taken over by Morgan Resorts. How much control over things in this particular campground they have I am not sure. But most of the staff was rude and did not care. A few were friendly but I did not have direct dealings with them. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here one night. Many seasonals. The bathroom and shower in the area where our site was were very rustic. Would forgo a shower before I would ever use it. The workers were pleasant. Would probably not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camp Waubeeka is a fun family campground with lots of activities for all ages. It is what you would expect a campground in the Northeast to look like. The store and game room are located in a beautiful, rustic log cabin. This is a great campground for the family. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

My family and I found this campground to be very nice. It's absolutely true that the owners, managers, and staff are very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. The owner was in the office at the time I had arrived and overheard my conversation with the staff as I was checking in. We were discussing the length of my camper as compared to the site I had reserved. The owner offered an alternate site that he thought I might like better and offered to take me to both sites to allow me to decide for myself. As it turned out, the site he offered was, in our opinion, one of the best full hookup sites on the property. Throughout our stay, the staff continued to go the extra mile; one staff member, performing his regular duties, passed us by and returned a couple of minutes later to hand us an agenda for their planned activities. Overall, the friendliness of the owners and staff and the campground itself make this a great place to camp and have fun. We look forward to staying at Camp Waubeeka Family Campground again. We absolutely fell in love with this campground from the minute we pulled up to the gate. Everyone we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This campground offers more activities than one can do in a weekend, and the hardest decision was deciding on which activity to do. The clubhouse/game room is top notch with plenty to do indoors if it rains. We will be returning quite frequently to this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped overnight while coming through the area. Very nice feel and facilities. New ownership within the last 3 years has added many improvements according to the very fiendly seasonals present. This campground has a "summer camp" feel to it as it was a Boy Scouts Camp for many years (est. 1923). Friendly and helpful staff along with a beautiful setting. We will camp here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has a lot going for it. Every staff member we met was professional, courteous, and friendly. The owner and manager are on site and easy to find if you need them. The manager escorted to us our site, which in another campground, probably would have been made into 2 sites. Nice playground, basketball court, sand volleyball court, soccer field, and ball field. A big perk ... there is also a city park which you can access from the campground that had additional ball fields, which my sons loved. One of the best-equipped game rooms we've seen at a campground. Activities for adults and kids. The grounds are kept very clean, and quiet time rules were enforced. The seasonal campers were all very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. The fishing pond was well-stocked, and my 6 year old caught a nice-sized catfish. Free WiFi at your site. Very affordable rates. On the negative side, they need a pool. There is a very small beach area on the pond, but more geared for little kids. The bathrooms are primitive - outhouses for the most part (but they were clean). However, I would not have been happy if I didn't have a bathroom in my camper. The manager said the owner will start construction on modern bath facilities this summer, and a pool is also in the future plan. Cable is also being installed on some sites. I would be a frequent visitor once these improvements are made. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Haven't been here in awhile. Love this park. Spotlessly clean, super friendly staff. Wi-fi and 50amp electric at every site. Gets better and better infrastructure wise every time we come. Unbelievably beautiful. We parked in the big open pull through area across from the pavilion. The staff was awesome, the grounds are well kept. This weekend there was a band playing and they too were amazing. The night sky view from this campground is stunning. We will definitely be returning. In fact we already booked. See you then. We have camped at this camp ground for the past three years. The campgrounds are kept very well and clean. The hosts are the best as is the rest of there staff. They are always pleasant and eager to help in anyway they can to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. The themed weekends are great, and all the other activities and live entertainment. I would recommend this KOA to everyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is lovely. The sites are large enough that you aren't on top of each other, large immaculate pool, grounds very nicely kept and lots of activities during the season. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was strong although the cable TV was a bit fuzzy at times. Highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have camped over the past two years at Copake KOA on the big holiday weekends and have had a wonderful time each stay. The owners are very friendly as well as the staff and they are willing to accommodate each guest to the best of their ability. They make every attempt to give returning guests the site they request and they have many fun activities that appeal to all age campers. On the holiday weekends they have had a band on Saturday night and a DJ on Sunday night and you see campers of all ages dancing the night away. We love camping at Copake KOA and recommend it to family and friends often. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Huge amount of work done to campground. New pet walk area with equipment to play on for dogs. Have cleaned up the sites (nice large sites with new electric/cable hookup). Fun activities for kids and adults. Great store. Clean game room. Felt very safe and secure with gate and staff patrol. Playground good for little kids. Nice pool area. Memorial Day weekend was our first visit to this campground. We were so impressed that we booked Labor Day weekend (2011) and Memorial Day weekend (2012). We had my parents with us when returned for Labor day weekend, and, they could not believe how clean and quiet the campground was. My parents live an hour away and this is a great campground to stay, and be able to have family come. We are looking forward to returning for Memorial Day (2012). We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night at the Copake KOA. Not too far from Bash Bish Falls in Western, MA. Lots of seasonal sites, some that appear to have been here for a very long time. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the campground seems to have been undergoing some renovations in the last few years; looks like there is still a bit of work to do. Nice new bathrooms. Wi-Fi was a bit weak. There were lots of family activities going on the night we were here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

New owners have taken what looked like a disaster and are clearly on their way to great things. Stayed in a mini lodge. Nice new bathhouse. It was very clean. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

Love This place! Owners and Staff are so helpful. Have completed so many projects since we were here in May. So nice to camp at a family owned park. Great activities for families. They have adult only activities as well. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground that gets better each time we go. We have camped here twice this year: Memorial Day and Labor Day and the park continues to get nicer and nicer. The owners could not be more friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Sites are very large, with new connections and hook-ups. The new owners continue to work hard to rebuild this campground in to a first class facility. Lots of things to do for families, the showers were probably the nicest I have seen at any campground, super clean and roomy. There is still work to be done, however I am sure that by this time next year this will be one of the nicest campgrounds in the northeast! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped here twice, two weeks apart. The park was just purchased by new owners. In those two weeks time the campground has made a transformation. More sites are becoming available as the staff works hard clearing them. This weekend alone I watched as they transformed five sites from not so hot to spectacular. They are really working hard to make this a nice place. I hope to they succeed and I truly believe they will. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is presently being converted into a KOA. You can see all of the work they have done and it should be fabulous once it is completed. The staff were excellent, couldn't of been nicer. Look forward to returning once all work has been completed. We enjoyed a very restful weekend here as it is one of the quietest campground we have ever been to. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were at this KOA on Memorial Day weekend with our puppy and grand daughter. We did not pick our site but let the owners pick one for us. the site we were put in was a little tight and we would not be able to deploy our awning and screen room, and because of this the owners purposely did not book the site next to us so we had 2 sites all to ourselves! This was the first time we were in a site on the "safari field" and we were about 20 feet away from the activities. The showers and bathrooms were actually the trailer kind. They were brand new and each bathroom had a toilet sink and shower and A/C! The owners are new to KOA and they are really working hard to get this park up to par and fix things up, and it shows. I would not hesitate to go back again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Just got back and this campground used to be owned by a private family and had been called a different name (can't remember the name) and it got a lot of bad reviews. The husband and wife that own it now, just became part of KOA campgrounds a couple of months ago. They said that they are still working on it and have 1 year to get it up to KOA standards. I have to say that the staff were EXTREMELY nice and helpful and there was a lot of activities for the little ones, and the adults too. I took a walk around the place and they have made a lot of new campsites, and also are upgrading the existing ones, both seasonal and the ones for us "weekenders". The bathrooms are modular and are "Unisex". There are 8 individual units with a toilet, sink, and shower, AND AIR CONDITIONING!!! The staff comes by 3 times a day and cleans them, and I never saw a dirty one the entire time i was there. This campground is a work in progress and as such still has some things to fix. The only thing that I can think of that I would change right now is that the roads are dirt. This is not a problem if you are camping back away from the safari field because there is not a lot of traffic, but if you have a site at the safari field like I did, every time a car goes by, there is a cloud of dust that follows it and coats everything in its path with dust. If they had a water truck go by 2-3 times a day to wet down the road it would help A LOT. But I have to give this campground a good rating, they are working hard to bring it up to a higher level, and still have some work to do. I would go back again without hesitation. Incredibly friendly owners who have put a lot of time and money into refurbishing this campground. Still a lot to do, but the owners were very accommodating and interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible. Sites were very large and spread out, plenty of room to spread out. Downsides: the pool was somewhat small and the dirt road made things very dusty. Some of the facilities still need updating although you can see that the new owners are working very hard to get things right. Probably the quietest campground we have ever stayed at. Once 10pm rolled around the only sound you hear are the crickets. We will definitely return to this campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is under new ownership and a new conversion to KOA. This was their opening weekend. You can tell they have done a lot of work, but they still have a fair amount to do. Really friendly helpful staff. Really liked the new modular bathhouse and we had a great time playing family kickball. They had super planned activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I will keep this as short as possible. I was a seasonal camper in this park for a number of years under the previous owner and the park was a very clean and peaceful place one I looked forward to every week end and also in the winter. The owner and his wife were very nice people and made sure the park was always up to excellent standards and offered many different things for the seniors and children. Howerver once it was sold to the current owner, the place turned into a junk yard with a dirty pool, lake, and so on. I moved my trailer out after the first summer and moved on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were totally disappointed in this campground. The web site makes it sound great - don't believe it. We camped there on a very, very hot and muggy weekend and walked over to the pool only to find a green, slimy half empty mess. So we inquired about the private beach they advertise and we given directions to it, it's about a mile down the road. The beach had so many weeds my kids would even go in the water. And there was garbage like an old rusty bed spring on the beach. Needless to say we didn't swim. The bathrooms were very dirty as well. The playground equipment is very outdated and in need of paint. The tennis courts had plywood strown all over them and there are old run down cars and campers throughout the place. Although our site was large and shady, that's the only GOOD thing I can say about this place. I will never go back. There is a sign on the office wall that says absolutely no refunds will be given, and now I know why! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
