We got very lucky and reserved only days before the 4th of July weekend. We reserved the 3rd and 4th online, and were able to book the 5th when we arrived, so we had three wonderful nights there. There were plenty of places to walk - which we like to do - and then have ice cream at the park store next to the swimming beach. We would definitely camp at Fair Haven again, and regard it as one of the nicest parks in New York State. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This is a nice family campground and the town of Fair Haven is very lovely. The bathrooms are kind of clean but very buggy. We camped here in a Tent.

We stayed here for 5 nights and wish it could have been more. There are three different camping areas. We chose to stay on the bluff that overlooks Lake Ontario. You sit up pretty high and are a little more open but have a tremendous view of the lake. There are only two electric only spots on the bluff and we were lucky to get one. The water spigot was across the street so no problem filling the holding tank although it took awhile because of low water pressure. The sites in the other two camping areas look to be a little close together so not sure if we would have rated it as high if we had stayed in another area. Restrooms were very handy and the showers were just a little walk through the woods. Both were very clean. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy. There are two huge beaches, a mile long pier that you can walk on, several playgrounds, hiking in the woods, hiking on the beach, hiking along the coastline, fishing, boat rentals, canoe rentals, and best of all golfing! The park owns it’s own golf course and it’s very reasonably priced. You must get a least one coney at the turn in the pro shop. One of the best parts about the golf course is there are no houses along the fairways. The course is challenging and scenic too. We had a great time and would camp here again in a heartbeat. Verizon air card worked OK for internet. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
