Fairly nice place in the off season, very quiet and lake front sites are easily obtained. I imagine it might be a little crazy in the peak season. Sites are not well marked and confusing, some are low and will be wet/mushy in the rain. The town of Sylvan Beach is 2 miles away with lots of seasonal weeknight events, an old-time amusement park, and several restaurants. Good Verizon coverage. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Verona Beach State Park has a great semi rustic campground. It's extremely clean and has beautiful views of Oneida Lake and extensive trails. The sites right on the lake are especially nice. There aren't many utility hook ups but most, if not all, of the sites are very easy to access. They have a sandy shallow swimming beach, which the children enjoyed. The the town of Sylvan Beach, NY is very close and has several cute shops and a little amusement park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautiful small campground! Great kid friendly beach with lifeguard, beach house & icecream parlor. Short bike ride into town, Sylvan Beach which offers an old fashion amusement park, childrens shows on the weekends at the towns gazebo as well as movies, and live music. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
