Sites are in two loops - a pull thru loop and a backup loop. The pull thru loop has cable and larger sites. We were in the pull thru loop and most sites were level, decently spaced, and had good road access. Both the internet and the cable worked very well. Management was extremely friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and well maintained. The only real negative is that the freeway is very close and very loud. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this an excellent location to tour Asheville and surrounding areas. The campground sites were adequate and full service. We have our own hot spot so did not try the campground WiFi. Staff friendly. We would definitely stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is located over two ridges. Entry is from the west, up a steep drive. The main road through the park is paved and wide. At the top of the driveway is located the office, pool, pavilion, cabins, and the drive through sites. The loop roads and pads are a mixture of dirt and gravel; but the sites are fairly level. Other than the pads, the rest of the park is pretty steep. The entry road, as it passes the office, drops down between the ridge lines, and then back up the other ridge. This main road is a 30 to 40 percent grade. It had rained hard, and the owners spread some straw down to cover some of the mud between the sites. Between the ridges there is a playground, but it is adjacent to a murky pond. There are hiking trails, but most are in disrepair, and the whole place is covered with poison ivy. Lots of web worms dropping from the trees at this time of year. I rated this as not pet friendly since there is no where to walk the dogs that is not on a steep slope and, although there is room, there is no off leash area. Dog waste cans were never emptied and bag dispensers were empty. Office staff was great. The noise here is overwhelming. This park is adjacent to I-40. On the east side of the park, there is a cliff with a TA truck shop at the bottom. Guess we would stay here again if passing through on I-40. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Basic RV park, no frills. Elect/water/sewer/cable. Sites are near to level, crushed rock. Some road noise, but not an issue. Passport GPS listing was 7/10 of a mile too far Nov 15th, 2012. If you miss the entrance there are places to turn around 1.2 miles south. Hwy 151 not recommended for entrance to Blue Ridge Parkway for large RV's and trucks. Steep/very curvy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here in the hot weeks of July. No amenities at all. Must be self-contained. Campground was easy to get to (right after the elementary school), but if you pass it up, find someplace to turn around right away, as this road eventually leads to the parkway. Going past the RV park, the road is narrow, twisty and dangerous if you are longer than 20' and if you are towing anything. It is about five miles from the major highways. Sites are fair but not large. Grass was not mowed while we were here. Park is clean and sites all medium to large stone. No campfire rings available. Some long-term units but no seasonals. Views are beautiful. As you travel to the campground, Mt Pisgah is straight ahead (hence the name of the road). Many stores within 10 minutes away but nothing close except a gas/convenient store. Nice place to stay to see the beautiful area in and surrounding Asheville. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is set in a rural area about 10 miles from downtown Asheville. It is one of the least expensive in the area and is convenient to all the sights in the area. It has 6 sites but only 5 have water, sewer, and power. The 6th site just has power. It is about 75' off Hwy 151 and road noise is a bit of a problem, but is mostly local traffic going up and down the road. The sites are gravel and fairly level; we had to add 3" to level out. There are no showers, restrooms, or club house. Satellite reception, but no working cable TV. This is a place to hook up, that is well kept, with clean power and good water. Make sure you call ahead to see if they have room. They only take cash or checks and it's on the honor system. We'd be happy to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
