Reading other reviews the writers are on target although we question the water issue noted. We have filters on the MH so that might have been the difference. Park is very old with only the power in one area brought up to 50-amp the apparent improvement. Roads are in disrepair and many sites become very muddy when it rains. Many trees have dead branches you must park under. Most RV sites have limited to no grass except for one where the person apparently was there awhile and even had flowers planted. Office staff was a mix of happy / friendly to grumpy depending upon the person. Would return for the convenience but the price reflects a “resort” and this is an old, stepchild park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stay here to attend Carowinds Amusement Park. Very out dated, they must have used their budget on all the cool rides. Grass not cut, water is nasty: not for human consumption. My two Pugs refused to drink it also. There is no cable TV so bring your satellite dish. The front desk lady had a Yankee Attitude. For the price, the only thing this park has going for it was proximity to Carowinds. There was a shuttle bus with a friendly driver. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park for the scenery and quietness. It was a bit overpriced for what you get but you're still camping on Carowinds property. Staff was quite friendly. Bathhouse left you feeling dirty after you finished your shower. For a campground that advertises all the money they spent getting it up-to-date, they sure forgot to do something with the bathhouse. We'd camp here again but only to attend Carowinds. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is not a destination park. It is a level, clean, gravel lot in Charlotte, behind a car dealership and machine shop, and in front of a small mobile home park. There are no facilities. The manager was very nice in accommodating our after-hours arrival on a Saturday, telling us to pick a place to park and drop a check in the mail slot, since the office is closed Sunday. The wi-fi signal was strong and steady. There were only four other rigs in the lot, and only one was occupied. The park serves as a long term living area for people who work in Charlotte during the week and go home on weekends. For the convenience and for what it is, it was a great place to stop over while visiting the Charlotte area, and there are no other close options. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV park has a great location, close to downtown. Easy to miss it though if you are driving down the road. Has a small sign and is located behind an automotive garage. The lady and husband management/owners were super nice and helpful. Came out to help me unload my motorcycle out of the back of my toyhauler. Hook ups were a little outdated, but functional. No cable TV at the time, but there were about 10 local stations. Wi-Fi worked well. There were a number of permanent residents living there and all that I met were nice. The biggest downside was the train whistles that blow all times of the night and the tracks were close by. This is not a resort, but it was good for the price and location in Charlotte. Would give a higher rating if it wasn’t for the trains at night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for over nite stay as said in previous reviews. Lady worker was very helpful, considerate, and cooperative. Although there is Wi-Fi, it doesn't always work. I think it depends on how many are using it. Hookups are not convenient, shared, outdated, had to use a 50 amp adapter for 30 amps. One water faucet for 2 campsites. Very crowded sites and hard to park. There are mostly permanent residents and condition of campers and mobile homes are not very good. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is close to everything. The managers guided us into our site and were very friendly. The TV reception was not the greatest, but the park was quiet and clean. Well worth the $20, which is hard to find these days especially near a big city. We would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would rate the CG higher if there were more amenities - but hey, for $20 I can't complain too awful much. We stayed in the RV Road area (newer section) which is nothing more than a paved road with gravel sites. There are not facilities at this section (bathhouse), that didn't bother us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The site was adequate. Facilities were without interruption (no surges or interruptions of power). The nearby airport provided a degree of noise, but as an overnight stay it was acceptable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Everything in this park was excellent except the sites themselves. They are very uneven. This is our first trip as full time RV'ers and we just about didn't have enough wood to level us. I had 14 in of wood under my front leg to level our trailer. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent campground with very nice hiking trails around Lake Wylie. Showers/restrooms are individually accessible by external door and each appears to be handicap accessible. Rent a tents are wall tents and are $36-46 per night. We camped here in a Tent.

Very expensive rates for a place that is not kept up very well. There was only one staff person working in and around the grounds. The staff in the office was helpful and friendly. The pool was nice, but had dirt and sand all over the bottom. The tiles in the pool definitely hadn't been cleaned in a while. The lawn chairs were nasty! This is not a campground where you will find family activities going on, if that is what you are looking for. This campground would be good if you are taking a trip to Carowinds or were here for race week. Otherwise??? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very disappointed with this campground. Sites are very narrow for larger motorhomes. Poor drainage - site was flooded and muddy from a bad rain storm. ANTS are very bad!! Bathrooms and showers were very dirty. And there are no bathrooms on the side of the campground with all the pull thru and back in sites - if you choose to stay here - make sure you bring your bike or a golf cart. You would think that charging so much for the RVs sites that they would at least have bathrooms on that side of the campground. We will not stay here again - but you live and learn the good campgrounds... We camped here in a Motorhome.
