We found this to be a great cg. Quite, clean and friendly. Many permanent set ups. This is a good place for walks and getting away from the stress for a while. We will stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Decent campground. Alot of amenities for young and old. All the sites were good. They had a local bluegrass band there the weekend we were there. They also had a church service that Sunday which we really appreciated. We will be back again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Someone else said it..."Pick your site wisely, here!!" Nearly all the sites are seasonal and they dump the temporary people in some pretty awful sites. We had a pull-thru with gravel roads on two sides: one from the park and the other a county road (where the "good-ole-boys" roared up and down all night with their radios blaring!). This is NOT what I was driving the Parkway to experience and I felt like I had just pulled off to the side of the road to park for the night! It was hot, so we were able to run the A/C; but that's about the only good thing I'd say about this place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Choose your site wisely; phones do not work and no internet. However staff is great, place is pretty and a good place to camp. Great sites; big and easy to use. Level and a great place to walk. Don't miss the church with Fresca in nearby town, an easy walk from the campground. If they had internet, we would go every year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park, but did not have a lot of recreational amenities. The bath houses were clean and well maintained. This is a nice little campground, but not on our "Top 10" list of places to visit. We have small children and there wasn't a lot for them to do. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Nice campground with a small lake too fish. Would be better if 90% of the campground wasn't bought up by perment campers. During our stay in mid summer only noticed a third were being used. It was a nice stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great Park, we camp here often. The campground is comprised from mostly seasonals, but lots of transient sites available as well. Does not have the bad reputation that most campgrounds with seasonal folks have. Park is located beside the Blue Ridge Parkway, with nice view of surrounding mountains. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoy this campground. It's right on the Blue Ridge Parkway so you can take a nice hike so easily. It is a very quiet park. There are many seasonals but most are considerate and quiet. It is very scenic too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Lots of seasonal but well kept. We had choices of wood or open sites and
chose open for the view. Only negative is no modem hookup but we went into town of Jefferson and the phone company had computer on line we were allowed to
use. Very nice area.We camped here in fall of 2003 We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful campground, beautiful lake, just one problem, almost all the really nice sites are taken by permanent residents.We got stuck with a site that was no more than 20 feet from a nearby county road. Of the 200 sites I believe there are aprox 20 sites for rent. It's too bad, it would be a fantastic campground if all the good sites were not unavailable. We camped here in a camper.

Beautiful campground and setting just off the Blue Ridge Parkway between mileposts 257 and 258. Sign can be seen from the Parkway but if you're headed north, when you see the sign, you'll have gone too far and will have to turn around somehow. Most of the park overlooks the lake and christmas tree farms. Very scenic. We camped here in a camper.
