We camp here every year. It is part of Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center which is part of the United Methodist Church. The campground is across the road from the main retreat area. The lower sites do get highway noise. The campground is always clean and workers are pleasant. Very nice playground on site. A few sites have wooden decks. There are also camping cabins. Swimming is available across the street at the retreat center as is the walking trail around beautiful Lake Junaluska, museums, gardens, restaurants and a Cokesbury book store. Just a couple of miles from Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Cherokee and the Catoloochee area. The campground is tobacco and alcohol free. All sites have picnic table and fire rings. Some roads are gravel, some are paved. Several pull through sites. A great option for touring this part of NC. Do not have to be affiliated with the United Methodist Church to stay there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
