Very nice campground. It’s near the Cherokee Casino and not a trailer park like some of the other parks we drove through. The owners are friendly and told us about other things in the area to do. The power is good, so was the Wi-Fi. The sites are easy to get into. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped here in an RV with Motorcycle trailer. Even before we made reservations the owner emailed us pictures of the site, so that we were happy. Very nice family atmosphere and clean. Owners were always present and ready to accommodate any needs. After seeing other campgrounds in the area, this is a 10 We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great park! Very friendly and helpful with maps, directions, and advice on local attractions and activities. Great campground for kids, or stay up the hill away from the pool for a slower pace. Nice shaded spots which are level as well. Easy access into and out of the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The cabins here were in the worst condition! The owner and staff were rude and hateful. The plumbing leaked everywhere. The sheets were dirty: yuk. I would not recommend this place. What a disaster. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

Convenient campground to Cherokee Indian Museum and Cherokee Indian Sites. Office personnel was very friendly and helpful. They had our paperwork and site picked out for us when we arrived. Ice cream was not kept stocked in store. Bathrooms were old. Laundry room was small for size of park but machines were kept in good condition. It was tight getting into and out of our site and not the most level. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is a nice, no frills place to stay. We arrived and found the gentleman in the office to be very courteous and helpful. The office is stocked with some essentials to save a trip to town for incidentals. We were directed to a pull-thru at the very top of the last row (#50) and found it asphalt surfaced and very level. We noticed other sites that would be difficult to access with a bigger unit, some of them short and sloping enough that would give problems in leveling. Satellite reception is an iffy proposition as most sites are shaded by tall trees. Free WIFI is availble although the signal was weak at our site, but it did work. The tv cable signal was very clear with 36 channels, most of them good ones. There is a $3 charge per day for the tv cable connection. The water/sewer/electric hookups seemed well placed for most units. Picnic tables and fire rings were at each site. There is a swimming pool and childrens play area with playground equipment, both appeared to be well maintained. There was an abundance of permanent residents, but most of their sites were well kept and the campground was quiet with nobody loitering that we noticed. I would have given the park a higher rating had the cable connection been free. We would stay at this campground again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The worst campground I've ever stayed at! Dog messes in my campsite. Loose dogs and kids harassed my dogs and myself. They constantly visited my campsite and bothered us. Paid for Wi-Fi and it wouldn't work and they wouldn't give me my money back. Red soil ended up on carpet inside the RV (not the owners' fault). Noisy! Yuck!! Just an awful experience! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The restrooms were always dirty. The staff was never in the office, and they were not helpful. They did not have signs with the proper messages. They put us at our site then they would unhook our water to clean bathrooms without informing us. The shutdown both bath houses for a 24-hour period. But the bathhouses still were not clean. The signs to get to the Park were not in the proper place to get there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The sites are a little close, the laundry was not really too clean but the price of the machines was so low it made up for it. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is quiet and away from the town. The sites are set up for long term campers. The park is not set up for Big Rigs (only a few 50 amp service sites, and poor road design) The bathrooms and showers were not clean and appeared to have just been opened for the season. The park has a very friendly staff, but difficult to locate them. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We just used the park as a base camp, There were mostly full timers there. Restrooms were small but clean. Pool was emptied for the season but looked well kept. Store was also a bit small and a bare. The sites were nice and for the most part level. Cable Tv worked with out problems. Would stop again if in the area. Its out of the way and quiet!!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground had some damage from heavy rain before we camped even with work on going the staff were very friendly, they are trying to update, nice campground in the Smokies close to everything.would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the worst park we have ever visited in all of our travels. The cable had no reception (which you have to pay extra for), and the manager was hateful about fixing it which he never did. The park is very unkept, has terrible access, and unlike all the other North Carolina parks is extremely unfriendly. To sum it up avoid this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Expensive for such a below average park. Although the restrooms were clean, bowls occasionly plugged up, paper ran out, etc and very slow repsonse to problems. Our 30amp box kept losing power and after a week still had not been fixed. About two thirds of the sites are permanent trailers, with many of them in an advanced state of deterioration. Sites were not mowed and generally this seems to be a campground where not much of the income is put back into the park. It's redeeming qualitys are that it is well off the highway and very quiet and the pool is immaculate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice experience, camp is very clean and well run. All the facilities were well maintained. As a operator of a small business, WiFi is important to me and service was no problem. We have been here before and will return again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The bathrooms were dirty and insect infested, not to mention unheated -- a very unpleasant surprise on a chilly October morn! Overall the property was a bit shabby and in need of some renovation/updating. The WiFi is only available to the front third of the campground, which was not conveyed until I was booked in the far rear. The staff rarely answered the phone as I was trying to book and to find their location (which all the popular map services have wrong). The steep access roads were not a problem for my 30' coach. I can't imagine staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Owners are very helpful, lead you to site and help you get parked. Came around asking if every thing was Ok. Fixed poor cable connection before we had a chance to complain. Will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I can't say enough good about this park. It is close enough to Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Cherokee, Dilsboro, etc and yet is away from all the hubub of the tourist traps. Owners/operators Bob and Marilyn obviously take great pride in their place as the park is lovingly maintained. Some shady some open, level, gravel sites on a mountainside make for a nice relaxing, quiet, friendly stay. Seasonals (lots of weekenders it seems) are all nice park models and congregated mostly at "top" of park. Screened in rec hall has a pool table and a nice selection of walking sticks to borrow for forays on hiking trails at GSMNP. Roads are a bit steep, but are manageable. We have 26' tt but I believe much larger rigs would have little trouble. Only reason I didn't give the park an 11 was the scale doesn't go that high. Will definitely return when in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent facility. The entire resort was well maintained and the bathrooms were spotless. The inside road is steep but managable. Mostly big rigs while I was there (both motorhome and 5th wheel) and all were able to navigate on the road. Great location - easy travel to Smoky Mountain National Park, Fontana Lake area, etc. Owners are very nice - there to help but not invade your space. Cute cabins available for those needing extra space. I would stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The sites are large, level and gravel. The roads are also gravel and can be a problem while trying to climb the steep hill running through the camp ground. We had a great stay noe the less. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The entrance to Holly Cove is very steep! The road is narrow and you must be careful when coming in. Our campsite was pretty level once we were able to get into the site. We used the showers provided by the campground and they were located down the hill from our site. It was steep and and you had to be careful while making your way to and from the showers. I would not reccomend this campground to anyone who has any type of physical limitation due to the severity of the incline. There are only 6 channels available from the cable. We would not return due to the steepness. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the best/nicest CG we've ever stayed at in 6 years of camping. The owners are extremely friendly & helpful. The restrooms are CLEAN & large (in fact, they have 2 that are like master bathrooms - self contained toilet, sink, shower stall & changing area all behind a deadbolt locked door). I never saw anyone cleaning the pool but there was never a stray leaf in the water & it was always crystal clear. The sites are well sized/spaced & level. The small store had self-service bags of ice & you paid on the honor system. Part of our 4 family group rented a cabin which was also very nice; it was furnished & totally self-contained. The road into the CG is pretty steep (& a bit daunting to this flatlander) but if you take it nice & easy there will be no problem. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an easy 15 minute commute from the CG. If Holly Cove were closer to home we would visit every year! I can't recommend the CG highly enough. Rustic, wooded campground on a steep hillside. Level, wide gravel spots. Very clean facilities, & a seasonal outdoor pool. A screened-in public room with a pool table, picnic tables, and video game machines is a plus. Very pleasant owners who work non-stop at the maintenance. Plans were to pave the main road in Sept 2004. Even though it is just off the highway, there is NO noise due to the thick foliage. Highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park, had a nice view from our site, almost all sites were shaded, firepits and picnic tables at each site. Road and sites are gravel, but hard packed, we had our motorcycles and we stayed down close to the entrance, did not have any trouble if you are careful. Our site was level all services worked well. The owner's were about, but not to bother you, just make sure everything was OK. We have already resv for Labor Day. We had a 32' Class A with a 6X12 Utility trailer with two motorcycles on it in a pull through. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park. The management does an excellent job of making you and/or your group feel welcome. There is a small meeting with full kitchen and a very nice covered pavilion. The only criticism would be the uncut grass. It is not weedy but the grass is shoe top high. There is significant road noise but it does die down at night. I had little trouble sleeping after a full day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The internet at this park is terrible: on and off most of the time. The sites had not been mowed for some time and during our stay, only the maintenance people (living in the campground) had theirs mowed. The path along the river had not been maintained and weeds were everywhere, even growing up through a bench with slots on the seat. In the men's bathhouse was personal toiletries that were on the counter the entire time we were here. (Found out later they were owned by one of the maintenance people living here). Very disgusting. I wanted to throw them away but there were not many visitors and I didn't want to cause problems. Heard also the park owner had a fire with no insurance. Money normally being used to keep up the park, is being used to fix fire damage. We would not return to this campground. It's a shame, because it could be real nice. There is road noise, even in the early morning hours, but with the air conditioning on, it wasn't too bad. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a newer park opened in late summer of 2010. There are level gravel sites with a concrete pad and picnic table. All sites have full hook-ups with 50 amp service. The TV service is Direct satellite and you are provided a receiver when you arrive. I have my own satellite system so never used theirs. The internet Wi-Fi signal worked well during my stay. There is a section of wooden fence between the sites that helps provide some privacy. All sites are back in and located on the river or backup to the Great Smoky Mountain scenic railroad. The store provides goods to campers and local residences. There is a meeting room, large modern clean showers and bathrooms for men and women. The laundry has new modern machines and gas dryers. There is a large pavilion with picnic tables and a roof by the main store. There is no swimming pool or play area for children. One of the nicest amenities is a walking trail along the Tuckasegee River that is well maintained. Some people swim, tube, and kayak on the river. You will get some noise from the highway but this was not a problem for me. The trees are small and provide no shade for your RV. I enjoyed watching the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad pass the park twice daily. The park is very pet friendly since the managers have two small dogs. The on-site managers and provide excellent customer service. Be advised this Campground and sites are For Sale by the owner. I understand only one site is sold in the park.
