Big nice park, but nothing much around. There is a golf course right beside the park that is reasonable. Most of the park is seasonal residents and some of them are very crabby. Nice place to stay a few days though. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Large campground located in on an artificial lake. Very casual staff, was checked in by a friendly maintenance person. Large grassy sites. Great area for walking or biking. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are large and in the grass. This appears to be a popular area with locals, so the weekends may be busy. Mid-week it was fine. There are some seasonal units that are kept up nicely. Swimming is available at the dam. There is a playground in the woods and a baseball field. There were lots of mosquitoes. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Can't believe this is not in database. We found this campground in Woodall's, and that's where the stats came from. Very large grassy sites, at least 50' wide and all pull-throughs. Can take largest of rigs. Campground is consists of a rectangular matrix of roads spaced about 300 ft apart. Medium sized trees are planted down the center to isolate campsite from next row. Some seasonal residents. Great cell phone, satellite and air card reception. This is an excellent stopover and only 2 miles off US 2. Our site fee was for W&E, 30 amp service. Full hookups available with 50 amps service. We camped here in a Motorhome.
