Our experience here started off poorly at registration. The sites we were supposed to get (there were 2 families camping together) were not what we were actually assigned. The staff person then questioned what breed of dog we had. When I replied "Lab mix", she asked what the mix was because if it was, "One of the aggressive breeds, the dog would have to leave the park." Very welcoming. When we started to get set up, there were issues with the electricity to both our units. This was rectified fairly quickly. The sites are extremely tight, not spacious and huge as the park advertises. The rec hall was not operational so it limited the activities for the kids. There was signage everywhere advising that if the rules were broken you would have to leave. While I like and agree with parks being firm with their rules, I really don't need to see signage everyone threatening to kick me out. One of the staff people came over to our site to complain about someone who left that morning, because they had left dog waste on their site. He said pretty soon dogs wouldn't be allowed in parks and that it's being done now in the states and is working great. Keep in mind that we and the other family we were here with, both had dogs with us!!! They say they are "pet friendly" but it's more like: tolerate dogs if they have to. The bathrooms were in very poor shape and the hot showers were $1/shower which is very expensive. While we were here, two of the toilets became clogged and I had to go to the office to tell them the toilet paper was low. The pool was just fair and there were no chairs available for parents watching kids. The only thing about this park that actually lived up to its advertising is the view, which is spectacular from some points in the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
